Adrian held her close so that if she did feel weak he was supporting her. when the song ended Adrian guided her off the dance floor so that they could head home so he could get her tucked back in to bed.

Darian was just looking over for a moment before he spoke, "I'm sure that she will. Knowing Adrian he will let her sleep on the ride back and insist on sleep as soon as they get back."
 
Darian was nodding his head before he spoke, "A wise idea since the rest of the party will get more lively now that the drinks are coming out. Perhaps good thing Adrian left, there is a man here who has a love for trying to go after the women that Adrian is with. Every single time."
 
Darian was just nodding his head before he was commenting, "I am sure. The king has been already grumbling up a storm because he cannot have them married more quickly. Either they get married and it waits a few months for their first night as a married couple, or they wait a few months to be married until her health is better. Per doctor's command."
 
Darian was just looking before he spoke, "There are a few other dukes he will focus on more for a short time."
 
Darian was just looking before he spoke, "I may be a duke but compared to the other dukes I don't wield as much power. Adrian is the most powerful of the four dukes that is for sure; and is considered the most wealthy. I am also powerful and wealthy but my family has only been dukes for the past few generations where as the others' families have been dukes for as long as this kingdom has existed."
 
Cat looked at him before asking softly why he had bought her. She didn’t understand and while he was nice enough she was worried there was more to it
 
Darian was just looking towards him before he spoke, "Your parents are apart of it. They offered you in exchange for money to pay of debts and all of that. Their letter said that if I decided that I wouldn't accept their bargain that they would contact the Southern Duke, knowing that he would definitely accept it. Trust me.... be happy that I did just accept it. The Southern Duke currently has three wives, and countless mistresses. You would have just become one of many. I did it more to safe you from that life - because that life is the life that my sister lived actually. Her husband had sold her off as collateral to some loan sharks - and I didn't learn about it fast enough. She ended up being sold to a brothel and from there took her own life."
 
Cat nodded her head “thank you” cat was grateful that he had stepped in and while she didn’t appreciate being sold she was glad it wasn’t to this other duke
 
Darian was just looking towards her before he spoke, "That is why when we first spoke I had stated that it could be contractual. We will stay married for at least two years and then after that we can get a divorce if you so desire."
 
Darian was just looking for a moment then spoke, "Two years at the minimum. Otherwise the king will not allow the divorce."
 
Darian was just looking over his shoulder for a moment before he was speaking with them as well, just seeming to flawlessly get into the conversation.
