SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

Ren looked Mitsunari in the eye, nodding his head. “I’m certain of it. He’s never killed or harmed a human he’s bought before.” It was a bit of a lie to say Laurent didn’t hurt the humans he bought- each one being broken mentally and reduced to a mindless toy for his consumption, but he never physically hurt them.

His shoulders dropped a bit in relief, "Yogatta..." He muttered under his breath, "Thank you, Ren. Do you..." he paused, "do you want anything...? Company...? Blood...?"

Ren’s cheeks flushed at the offer. “Come on, you know I can’t take payment for doing something like this, it wouldn’t be right- just think of it as me doing you a favor.” He didn’t feel right being paid for something so personal, business was business, but this was more of a personal request than anything.

“I’ll single out which location he’s at, try to get any information on your sister I can.” Ren said. “We’ll find her.”

Jin was back at the building Mitsuhide allowed her to live in, the one he resided in and did his experimenting in as well. She had been given access to all the files of information at his disposal, and even though he did have a file on Kojurou, it still had nothing that would tell her anything remotely important. It told her nothing of the feelings she couldn’t suppress, or their relationship.
There was little other options, so after cleaning up all the files and putting them back in their correct places, she headed out to find answers herself. She had memorized the home address in Kojurou’s file, and once there she found he wasn’t home yet, and his home sat empty. She circled the place several times before deciding on destroying the lock of the front door and letting herself in. She was tempted to snoop, but that wouldn’t be fair, so instead she turned on the light in the kitchen and sat at the table to wait. She wore no mask, pulling the hood off her head and stared at her hands on the table as she waited. Would he answer her questions? Would he chase her away and call her a monster? She was just that now. Her corpse reanimated by implanting a ghouls’s kakuhou inside of it- she didn’t even have any memories of her previous life. Not a single one remained, only the feelings they left behind.

Kojurou had been buried in paperwork, wondering where Megohime had gone off to yet again. There was no sign of her at her home and no one had seen her around the office. He sighed and figured she would turn up; if Masamune was so infatuated by her - and he hated to admit it - then no harm would befall her for the time being. So, he merely headed home, exhausted from the constant scribblings he had to read for the day. He froze when he saw his door was broken open and gripped his case tight as he slowly moved inside.

It was a little unusual for Megohime to not answer Kojurou’s calls, but surely she’d show up or get back to him soon.
Inside his home wasn’t ransacked or destroyed, and no one rushed to attack him when he entered, but he did see the kitchen light on- perhaps the intruder had left already?

“I apologize for entering your residence without permission,” She started- and god she sounded just as she always had, but there was still her eye. One eye was still the infamous red and black of a ghouls. “I needed answers and didn’t have any other way of meeting with you.”

She was glad he was giving her a chance to speak, almost expecting him to chase her off or try to kill her. “I have no memories of who I was before, the only information I have regarding myself is what’s in my CCG file- but even reading that, it stirs nothing.” She looked anxious and troubled- was she telling him the truth? “Could you… please share what you know about me?”

He seemed incredibly conflicted; on the one hand, he wanted nothing more than to bring her in and see what could be done for her. On the other, he wanted to humor her and see if he could get his Jin back.
"What all do you want to know? Anything specific...?"

“What was our relationship?” She asked, ripping the bandaid off. She had an inkling that perhaps they had been more than just partners at work, but nothing at all in the files indicated otherwise.

“I know that.” Jin said, lacing her fingers and unlacing them. “Both of our files said that, but there’s more to it, isn’t there?”

“I see.” She had had an idea it was something like that, but now it was confirmed. “I’m sorry, this must be hard for you then- seeing me here like this after everything that’s happened.” She kept her eyes on Kojurou, watching his reaction, but her own gaze was soft now.

Jin admittedly hadn’t thought about how Kojurou might’ve felt in this situation, a soft frown forming on her face. Perhaps things would be easier for him if she were to leave him be, perhaps that’s what he wanted. “Would you like me to leave?”

She nodded silently, feeling her heart ache in her chest. “Then I won’t.” Jin felt like her memories were just out of reach, but nothing came through.

Jin only frowned more; the one and only rule Mitsuhide had given her was to never speak of him or his work. “I’m sorry, I cannot answer those questions.” She answered.
