SAINTS (1x1 w/DarkMukip)

With a snarl he released her and staggered back, but the damage was done- Naotora’s throat had been badly mauled. He wiped his mouth with the back of his arm, panting heavily, as his kakuja slowly retreated. “Fuck..”

“Yeah.. yeah, I’m fine..” His voice was hoarse, body throbbing with pain as he stared at Naotora’s motionless body. “We need to go..” He said, staggering back before turning, blood still smeared across his face and mask. “Investigators will be here soon.”

He nodded numbly, trying to clean the blood off of himself. “Yeah.. I could use some.” He just wanted to get home and rest.

Sasuke took the lead, even though he knew he should keep Yukimura in his sight, "If you wanna knock out with Aki when we get back, I'll handle Date."

He was glad to let Sasuke take lead, too tired to try and stay ahead of him. “Thanks Sasuke, I really appreciate it.” He nodded.

By the time they got back, Yukimura had gotten himself mostly presentable, glad he had worn all black, but he still reeked of blood. His tired eyes darted around in search of someone when they entered Date’s estate, following Sasuke closely.

"Sasuke! Yukimura!" Akihime was the first to greet them, setting her broom aside before making her way over, "I'm so glad you two came back, I was so worried!"
"Ah, Aki, easy...dana's a bit frazzled." Sasuke told her. She frowned, looking from him to Yukimura.
"What happened?"

Yukimura was glad to see Akihime, but that same uncomfortable feeling crawled up the back of his neck as he had to explain why he was covered in blood. “Ah, it’s ok Sasuke, really..” He looked to Akihime, offering a smile, but his exhaustion was clear on his face- along with the bloodstains. “The last job just got a bit hairy, but I’m fine.”

"Yes, I can see that..." She looked him over, panicked and concerned, "What happened? This isn't your blood, is it?"
"Yeah, Sanada, what happened?" Masamune asked, making his way over with a knowing smirk, "That's a lot of blood, way more than I'd thought you'd come back with."
"Things got a bit out of hand at the end.." Sasuke muttered.

“It’s not my blood, I’m fine… Close combat can get messy..” He avoided looking at Masamune, an angry tingle going up his spine.
Amaya was carrying back an empty tray, having just brought drinks to a private room. “Back already? How’d things go?” She tried not to stare too hard at Yukimura’s blood-splattered clothes, glancing to Sasuke.

"Masamune is letting us stay in a separate home on the estate, we can shower once your business with him is done..." She said, "I have a few more rooms to clean, anyway.."
"A mother-in-law house, as the Americans call it," Masamune said, "Complimentary, due to your current circumstances."
Sasuke moved to Amaya and frowned a bit.
"I'll tell you later.." He whispered.

Yukimura nodded, wanting nothing more than to shower and lay down with Akihime. “Thank you very much, Date-dono.” He bowed his head to him, trying to move things along smoothly.

Amaya nodded, looking Sasuke over and touching his arm lightly to show her concern.

"No problem, Sanada. If you two don't mind?" Masamune turned to head into the lounge and Akihime gave Yukimura's arm a squeeze.
"I'll be around, we'll go unwind when you're done.." She said softly.

Sasuke leaned down and touched his forehead to hers gently, "I'll be right back." He said.

He nodded, touching her arm in response. “I won’t be long.” He reassured her before following after Masamune.

Amaya nodded, looking like she wanted to say something, but quickly shoved it down.

Sasuke noticed and frowned softly, wishing he had the time to ask but hurried after Yukimura and Masamune. The mafia boss sat first and gestured the two to take a seat across from him.
"So, I got two out of three confirmed kills," Masamune said, "I can only assume that's Naotora all over you, Sanada."
"Oh, shit," Sasuke reached to pull out his phone, "sorry, I don't have your number." He offered the photo to Masamune, who leaned over to examine it. His eyes shot to Yukimura, a grin splitting his face.
"Well, well, well~"

Yukimura wished he could melt into the plush leather seat he was sitting on, setting his jaw. “Things got a little out of hand, we handled it.” He explained shortly.

"A little?" Masamune took Sasuke's phone without asking, "This, my friend, does not look like a little~ you look like you went to town~"
"She's dead, we did what you asked." Sasuke stated.
"How did it feel? Good?" Masamune asked. Sasuke reached for his phone but Masamune leaned away from him.
"Don't answer that, dana." Sasuke said.
"I'm surprised you're still cognitive~ I'm a little worried for your girl now~" Masamune teased.
"I ask humbly that you shut your mouth." Sasuke hissed.
