“N-No..! You didn’t offend at all..!” She had been called a servant to a god her whole life, but never before had she been likened to princess Kaguya. “I’ve just never heard that before..”
Kaguya felt relief already from her feet simply being cleaned and wrapped up, much preferring Yoichi over Hakaku. “Thank you..” She said, tears dripping down her cheeks. “For being so kind.”
"I've done what I can for now. I'll check them tomorrow, and we'll get you in a bath to be sure they won't fester." He told her, "Are you hungry? Would you like any food?"
Kaguya nodded and watched him leave, looking around with anxious eyes. What if Hakaku came back before Yoichi did? How was she supposed to get comfortable? She didn’t dare move from the spot he left her in, too terrified to move a muscle despite no longer being restrained.
Despite it all, Hakaku did not return, and Yoichi came back with a bowl of miso and some rice, "Something simple as to not upset your stomach too quickly. I'm not sure what he's fed you, if at all, so best not to lose it as soon as you eat it." He smiled.
Kaguya’s stomach growled at the smell of food when he came back, having to stop herself from wolfing down the food right then and there. “Thank you, truly.” She ate as slowly as she could, not wanting to burn her mouth on the food.
