Hakaku reached for his blade and Yoichi shoved him away, glaring hatefully.
"Keep away from her." He snarled. Hakaku scowled at him, his hand dropping.
"You heard her. She wants to die."
"That is not the oath we made as Slayers!" Yoichi argued.

Kaguya didn’t understand this other man at all, didn’t know why he was protecting her, but she was grateful for it. She seemed to relax slightly when he stepped in, not wanting to die, but not wanting to suffer anymore either.

She shifted uncomfortably on the ground, not sure what was going on or what either man intended to do.

Yoichi moved to Kaguya and helped her sit up, frowning softly.
"I humbly ask for your forgiveness. This is not how we Slayers should go about things at all."

She flinched when he touched her, wincing in pain when she sat up, back throbbing in pain. “I haven’t done anything..” She muttered. “I don’t know anything..” It was like an automatic response- like she was too scared to say anything else.

She lowered her head, shoulders sagging. “What then..? What will be my fate if I do not tell you anything..?”

“It would only mean more suffering by staying alive then..?” She asked quietly. “If death ends that suffering, then I’d much rather have that..”

Would lying even work? Truth be told, she didn’t know where Douma went when he disappeared, so if she said so, it would still be keeping his whereabouts secret while also sparing her life. “I don’t know where he goes when he leaves..” She said quietly. “He’s never told me, and I don’t ask..”

Hakaku looked over with angry eyes, Yoichi ignoring the hole the Shadow Hashira burned into the back of his head. "So, he just leaves, returns when he desires to?"

Kaguya nodded. “I’m not allowed to leave the temple… And I’ve never seen him leave, he’s just gone when he leaves, and is there when he returns..” She had to be lying again, she had never once seen him leave, or learn as to where he’s going?

Yoichi frowned and reached to remove the blindfold, stopping when he saw her flinch before he continued, "And you swear this is the truth?"

Kaguya nodded. “I don’t know anything else.” She said weakly; the only lie she told. It was true, she never saw Douma when he came or went, or to where he was going, but she was aware of one more fact. A name she had heard through a closed door, only once and never again: Muzan.

Yoichi seemed to believe her before turning to glare at Hakaku, "Satisfied?"
"Not even remotely." He hissed before he left. Yoichi turned back to Kaguya and offered a kind smile.
"Would you be alright with me treating your wounds?"

She squinted and blinked at the light that entered her eyes when he removed the blindfold, not having seen the sun in days. She looked hesitant to let him touch her, but nodded slowly.

He smiled more and moved behind her, reaching into a cabinet and pulling out a first aid before coming back, "I'm going to undo the sash, alright? Please excuse me." He said before reaching to untie her robe slowly.

Kaguya felt her bindings loosen and drop away, then felt her hadajuban being untied. She held her hands over her breasts as he carefully removed her top undergarment, revealing her badly hurt back. It was all sorts of black and blue, new and old wounds oozing blood.

Yoichi frowned heavily at the sight and went to work right away on cleaning her wounds, muttering soft apologies whenever she jerked.

Kaguya would have to bite back cries of pain as he cleaned her back, finding that quite a bit of dirt had gotten into her wounds from the trek.

Kaguya made a soft noise, staring at her lap as he worked. “Why’re you being so kind..? I’m allied with a demon.” She said softly.
