He swallowed and nodded, "O-Ok..."
"Can I have a vodka soda, dad?" Mikey asked. Chris nodded and lightly glared at Turner, who only grinned.
"Just a gin for me thanks."
"Mm." Chris huffed and moved to leave.

She giggled a bit and waited for her drink.

He came back a bit later, handing Nora hers first before the boys, "Dinner is almost done." He said and kissed her head before leaving again.

She smiled and relaxed, sipping her surprisingly good drink.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Tried to get him to flirt, guess that failed." Turner grinned.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Probably didn't want to do it in front of you." She said with a smile.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Maybe." He grinned. After a little while, Chris came out and told them that dinner was ready and they all moved to the dining room.

She moved and smiled, sitting down to eat with them all.

Chris went all out, making parm crusted salmon with sweet potato and brown rice with some leafy greens on the side. There was a bottle of wine if anyone wanted some and he even made - made - fresh bread.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

She looked in awe, this was incredible smelling. "Oh my god, Chris."

"What?" He asked, "Is it too much?"

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"No, no it smells incredible..!" She said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Oh," he smiled bashfully, "thanks, hun.."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

She smiled and dug in when everyone started eating.

It was amazing, and everyone shared rather pleasant conversation. Mikey and Turner were total delights, enjoying their time with Nora like she had been there the whole time.

She was loving every second, glad that they were so accepting of her.

"Dad says you're a nurse, what nursing do you do?" Turner asked.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Oh, just general care for now, my specialty is cardiology.." she said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Cardiology, wow!"
"Do you help with like surgeries and stuff?" Mikey asked.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"No, just care for now, after surgeries and all that.." she said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Amazing!" Mikey grinned.
"Very nice, Nora." Turner nodded.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

She smiled. "You two are too much.." she said, teasing.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"It's really cool, cardiology is tough." Turner said.
"Heck, being a nurse is tough!" Mikey added

 

[Mr.Aznable]

She smiled and giggled. "Stop it, I'll get a big head..~" she said.

"I've raised them to never say what they don't mean.." Chris said with a soft smile, "my boys are right, being a nurse is really cool and it takes a lot of strength and compassion to help people, even if it's after something so big as a surgery."
