Seth nodded "Well I think we should start your little tour." he told her once they had both finished and he cleaned the dishes. He had expected to see the professor that morning, but he guessed the old man was still in the lab studying the orbs. That or asleep still. He wondered where they should go first, he guessed to where the pokegirls where fed maybe, then outside. She had already seen the lab for the most part so there wasn;t much point going back in there. The rest of the facility was made for the design and comfort of the pokegirls.

Jewel stood up once he was done and waited for him to clean the dishes before she followed him out of the kitchen for the tour of the place. She found so many things that had to do with the humans to be so fascinating and she enjoyed learning about them. She could smell all of the different pokegirls that were kept around the lab, each and every scent a little different from the other.

"My favorite part," he said once they had finished the tour of the inside "Is the outside facility," he said to her. He walked outside with her, behind the lab was an almost endless field of grass, and it seemed to have parts of different terrains all over. There was an area that looked like pure sand and desert, anothe that seemed like luch forest, a third that looked like a marsh of sorts. The place was designed so each and every pokegirl could be comfortable.

She looked up at him curiously when he told her his favorite part was outside and she silently stepped outside with him. She looked around with a smile as she looked over everything. "Wow." she murmured. "It seems no matter what pokegirl is caught, she'll be happy here." She looked up at him and smiled slightly as she took a deep breath. "This place is amazing."

"Yeah professor Oak spent most of his life savings creating this place....he also received funding from the pokemon institutes around the world," he said with a sense of pride in his voice. "No matter what pokegirl there is she would feel at home here, and everytime a new species is discovered we go and remodel a place for it," he said. "Sometimes I was even sent to find new species, but it's alot harder then many might think," he said as he looked around. "I used to sit out here and draw things," he said "or just walk around, a few of the pokegirls are rather friendly...but not all of them so I tried not to get close when a new one came, until they got comfortable anyways."

Jewel could hear and see the pride in him when he spoke about Professor Oak and it made her smile with a chuckle. "You really look up to him, don't you?" she asked affectionately. "Sort of like a role model." She ran a couple of fingers through her slightly messy dark blue hair before turning to him as he explained about what he used to do. "I think I'd like to see some of those drawings." she said. "How often do new pokegirls come in?"

He nodded his head at her assumption "Yeah, he is kinda my role model," he said. "I might have the sketchpads in my room somewhere," he said thinking about the where abouts of the drawing pads. "If you mean new pokegirls who havent been here before, like every day," he replied "but if you mean new types of pokegirls, well thats a bit hard, maybe a new species is tranfered here, once a month, or sometimes once a year," he said with a shrug.

She gently rubbed her chest, not noticing that she was doing it. "He's a good role model." she says with a nod. Her eyes slowly scanned their surroundings as she listened to him. After he finished speaking, she turned to face him, her long tail twitching a little. "I think I'll enjoy it here while we take a little time off and rest." She moves over to him and she links her arm with his and laid her head down on his shoulder. "So, what else should we do today?" she asks.

Seth watched as she rubbed herself, wondering if she was feeling itchy or something as she did. "Well....I think Oak wanted to run tests," he said remembering they still needed to see if she was alright. "But after that...well we can figure out something to do maybe." He smiled softly as she leaned against him. "Are you feeling alright Jewel?"

Jewel slowly nods absently as she rubbed her chest a little more then lowered her hand. "Okay." she murmured before looking up at him at his question and she smiled. "Oh, I'm perfectly fine. My chest just feels a little funny with the small bald patch in my fur. I can feel the breeze and everything against my skin and it feels strange." she says gently. "Thats all." She kisses him on his cheek before pulling back a bit with a bright smile.

(Did you wanna time skip her tests?)

"Okay," he said with a smile and gently took her hand. "Lets get the boring stuff over with," he suggested, thinking of what they could possibly do. He would have suggested a few things, but he had a feeling Oak wouldn;t like that very much. On account most of his ideas involved doing something that might piss off some of the other residence.

She gently gripped his hand a little tighter before nodding. "Okay. Then we can find something fun to do." she says with a small smile. Slowly, she turns towards the large building so they could head back inside.

(Yeah, lets do that.)

Seth watched as Oak would strap Jewel into a machine, take x-rays, and even draw a bit of blood. He wondered if this would really lead to any answers, or if the old man was trying to look like a scientist. It seemed to take longer then necessary, but soon Oak said that he had done enough and later he would be able to, hopefully, conclude if anything was amiss. "Thank goodness," he said as they walked out of the lab. "How do you feel now?" he asked her, knowing she must be tired after all those lengthy tests. It was sure to be the afternoon by now.

Jewel was patient and rather calm as Oak did the series of tests, not even flinching when her blood was drawn. When it was all over, she was sleepy and hungry at the same time though she didn't know which one she wanted to do more. To sleep or to eat. As they walked out of the lab, softly padding along at Seths side, she yawned and rubbed her eyes. "I'm sleepy and I'm hungry." she muttered. "And I'm a little sore." She leaned against his side a little as they walked and closed her eyes with another yawn.

Seth walked out with her, helping her stay up by staying closer to her as well. "I would ask what we should to, but you seem more beat then willing to eat," he said, as he too yawned after seeng her do it. "Maybe we should take a nap, I don't want you passing out from exhaustion." "Unless you'd want to do something else?" this would probably be the only time they where hear for sometime. He had a feeling they would have to go back to sinnoh if Oak couldn;t figure out anything about those orbs.

Jewel opened her eyes and looked up at Seth when he helps keep her standing and she smiles gratefully. "Sleep... sleep sounds good." she says with a soft laugh. "I'd love to do something else, but I don't want to take the chance of falling asleep." she says to him. She honestly would of loved to do something different then sleep but she needed the sleep more then anything else at the moment.

(gotta go darlin. I've school in the morning.)

Seth nodded "Don't worry, we'll be here for a few days...hopefully," he said. "We still have some time to do something once your rested," he lead her to there room. He had been looking for his sketch books, and found a few of them under his bed and laid them on his desk for her to look through when ever she wanted.

(yeah hitting writers block on this one)

(Would you like to skip to the day where he gets his next job and she get's really sick?)

Jewel padded along after him towards his bedroom. She liked being there in his room because his scent was strong and it soothed her nerves and relaxed her. After entering the bedroom, she padded over to the bed and climbed up, her ears twitching a couple of times and her tail swishing back and forth happily but tiredly.

The days went by quickly it seemed. Not having to travel and climb any mountains left the two plenty of time to pretty much just relax and enjoy the serenity being home had to offer. Though Oak's tests never seemed to conclude anything was wrong with Jewel, Seth had still been a bit cautious for a few days until soon the worries faded away as she seemed fine. Most of the time they walked around the outdoor landscapes designed for the many pokegirls that inhabited the ground.

The relaxtion however soon got to Seth, not being one to really stand still for two long. He'd begun to grow restless and eager. He was rather excited when Oak came to him around the sevenths day and asked if he was up for a smal expidition. "I want you to go back to Sinnoh," he told Seth. "It seems there is a rather peuliar mountain there, rather it's an inactive volcano," Oak said "Stark mountain, it's beleived that there once dwelled a pokemon that was said to have come to be when the earth was born....maybe there might be some clues as to what these two orbs where created for."

As the days went by, everything seemed rather normal but Jewel could feel that something bad was happening. Every day the pokegirls coat was getting a little duller and duller and she seemed much more tired then was normal. Any time Seth would ask her what was wrong, she would just say that she was fine or that she was just run down from all of the tests Oak kept putting her through. Eventually there was the lack of appetite that really began to set everything off.

On the day that Seth got his orders to return to Sinnoh, she hadn't even left the bed. As Seth and Oak spoke, the pokegirl slowly staggered out of the bedroom and towards the lab where she could hear them talking but to her it sounded like they were shouting. Her once glistening and silky coat was dull and limp and it was damp with sweat while the spot her her chest were the fur hadn't grown back in was bright red and irritated. "S-Seth." she weakly called out, one of her hands resting on the wall to help keep her up.

Seths attentions turned to her when he heard her weak voice call out. "Jewel...Jewel whats wrong?" he asked. He'd notice the change in her apearence, though when she said she was fine, he only assumed ot might have come from being in a warm climate for so long. Some pokemon's appearences changed depending on where they spend long periods of times. "Professor somethings wrong....she feels feverish," he said as he placed a hand gently on her brow feeling she was burning up a bit. His excitement had vanished now.

Jewel whimpered as she grabbed onto the front of his shirt. She was trembling with pain and her head was pounding. "I-I don't feel good." she whispered, looking up into his eyes. "Everything hurts. Please... make it stop." She softly sobbed and collapsed against him, mewling when he touched her forehead, turning her head slightly. The pokegirl was softly gasping and wheezing because of her fever. Oak moved over to her and lifted her head, gently opening her eyes to look at her pupils. "I've never seen an illness set on this quickly." he said softly as he felt her forehead. "Bring her over here." He turned and quickly walked over to one of the beds where the scanners were set up.

Seth was hesitant to pick her up, as it might only cause her more pain. However if they didn't figure out what was the matter they would never know if they could help her. Gently he scooped her up into his arms, taking her over to the table to gently lay her down on it. He was afraid, she was in so much pain and he couldn't do anything. If only they had run, this was Team Rockets fault. He knew it had to be that machine, that gun they shot her with. What ever it was it was causing this and he was so stupid not to have taken the thing more seriously. "Professor, what....what can we do?" he asked hoping the man had some sort of advice like he always did.
