Kakure

"Thank you." she said before shivering as he stroked her and a moment later she began leading the way again. The eevee didn't know how long they were walking nor how many forks they came to but she knew that they had been in the caves for several hours already. When he checked his watch, she paused and looked at him. "We can only hope." she says to him before removing her pack for a moment and removing a bottle of water. She often refilled the bottle when they came to a stream or river. Opening it, she took a sip and returned it to the pack a moment later she pulled her pack back on and started up another path.

They walked for a bit, he hadn;t realized it but tey where very close to the top of the mountain, the tunnels had been somewhat of a short cut, and with Jewels sensative nose they had found every right path leading up. It was dark, so when they had come to the opening onto the top they hadn;t noticed. Fresh air filed Seth's lungs as he stood in the op of the mountain, the place seemed like it had been flattened. When he looked around he could make out large pillars and other structures.

After reaching the top of the mountain, Jewel slowed down and took a deep breath. She felt a little dizzy from being in the caves for so long then breathing in the fresh air. But there was something else about the place that made the fur on the back of her neck stand up. Shaking her head, she moved forwards slowly. "What do you think this place is?" she whispered, scared to speak any louder for some reason.

Seth took out another light, this one was large and he had to use both hands. He clicked a button and a strange humming noise emitted from it before suddenly it gave off a very bright beam of light. It stretched far and it almost made it seem like day light, except that th shadows where much to big. "Looks like we found what we are looking for," he said pointing the light around and seeing a sort of alter. "Looks like they relly did worship Palkia and Dialga," he said. With a camera he would take a few picturs of strange marking along columns, he guessed they where an older language.

She looked over at him as he turned on the light and she made a sound as the bright light flooded the area, making her close her eyes tightly and rub her eyes a little. After a moment she blinked several times before shaking her head and moving around the area while he took pictures. As she moved around, she could feel a power getting stronger before she spotted something. There were two orbs, a pink and blue one, on two pedistals and they were glowing. "Seth." she called gently, "Look at this." She moved forward and neared the orbs, gazing at them curiously.

Seth set the light down, pointing it in her direction and the camera. He walked over, the light catching the orbs making them glimmer a little. "What are those?" he asked her, though he didn;t expect an answer. On closer look the two where not the exact same, other then color one was rather pentagon in shape, the other pink one was perfectly circle. He looked to see two stone pictures, etched in the wall where the images of two pokemon, one seemed to look like a girraffe, the other one a typical sort of godzilla. "Those must be the two pokemon," he said, knwoing he was right. He snapped a few pictures of them. "Think we should take these?" he asked her, but befoe she said anything he was already picking up the blue pentagon orb, at first he expected the alter to crumble but nothing happened.

Jewel shook her head slowly before looking at the pictures of the pokemon on the stones. "I don't know what they are, but they hold alot of power." she said softly, moving over to one of the carvings to run her claws over. After hearing his second question, she turned to him to answer but he was already picking up the blue orb. She shook her head with a smile before moving over and picking up the pink one. It felt... warm, in her hand. She didn't know why. The pokegirl would of thought that it would be cold but it wasn't. Her ears twitched and she looked around, thinking that she heard something but as she listened harder all she could hear was silence and the sound of Seths breathing. "Yes, I think we should take these." she said softly.

"Alright then," he said as he lifted the stone away from its resting place. After a few more minutes he was growing tired, he set the stone in a blanket along with it;s partner ans covered them."Maybe we should get some sleep?" he suggested as he turned off the bright light and put away his camera. No sooner had he set his pack down to remove the bedding did the night suddenly grow less quiet. He heard something, it was the spinning of helicopter blades and they where getting louder. He looked up to see a blinking light "Jewel...." he said gently motioning for her to come closer a the helicopter drew nearer.

She placed the pink stone down with the blue one, handling it gently and with care before watching him cover the stones. Her ears twitched again and she could of sworn that she heard something but a moment later the sound was gone and she frowned. "I-I don't know Seth." she said softly. "I suddenly have a bad feeling." After she finished speaking, a loud whirring sound filled the air and she grimaced, covering her ears with her hands before looking up to see the same blinking light that Seth saw. Jewel barely heard his voice over the noise and she looked up at him before moving closer to him, standing almost flush against him. "W-what is that?" she asked.

"It's a helicopter," he said to her. They where flying towards them, he knew this couldn;t be god. He scooped up the stones in the blanket. "Jewel come on," he told her and they hide behind one of the large columns as the helicopter landed. He heard several boots stepping off and heard them walking.

"Were are they!" a sudden voice called out. It sounded angry and the sound of a rock crumbling went off.

Seth put a finger to his lips telling Jewel to be quiet. He looked around the column to notice a few people dressed in wierd white get ups. They reminded him of Team Rocket, there tempers matched for sure.

Moving quickly, she followed him behind the column and she looked at the blanket that held the stone. She was about to whisper something when she heard footsteps nearing them and she bit her bottom lip while moving just a little closer to Seth. She could feel ghusts of wind moving through the area and she shivered a little.

Her eyes snapped open when she heard someone talking and she bit her bottom lip nervously. Looking over at Seth, she nodded slightly before closing her eyes again.

"Look over here....foot prints," he heard someone say. Seth froze as he did and he didn't move, he hoped the helicopter had blown away there trail. "Look over there," one said. He had no idea were 'there' was. He gently touched Jewels hand. "We're gonna run for the tunnel," he told her gently. He scooped up the blanket with the orbs. "Ready.....now," he told her and they both darted quick. It was a few seconds before he heard a surprised shout and foot steps followed them.

Jewel tensed at the mention of footprints and she fought down the urge to whimper softly, looking at Seth with a scared look on her face. She could hear the foot steps getting even closer and she jumped when Seth touched her hand, looking at him with wide eyes. Nodding gently, she watched him scoop up the orbs and readied herself to run. The moment he said now, she ran after him towards the tunnels, moving as quickly as she could. Jewel could hear the people following them as her and Seth hurried through the tunnles.

Seth didn't look back, but the fear was growing in him. He heard them shout and command them to stop, but he didn't. Luckily they knew the tunnels. He could see his glow sticks "Jewel....which way?" he asked her as suddenly the sticks seemed to vanish.

Jewel whimpered softly as the lights vanished and she looked around. Lifting her nose, she began sniffing the air before reaching out and grasping one of Seths hands. "Come one. This way!" she said before rushing down one of the tunnles, following the mixture of her and Seths scents.

It seemed like they ran for hours, he couldn;t hear the foot steps anymore so he guessed they got lost in the tunnels. He was glad Jwel could smel so well, he swore he'd buy her another TM as soon as they where over with this. He forgot about the ridge they had climbed up and he nearly went over before he caught himself. "Shit..." he said. There where more of the white clad freaks under it, and they had noticed the rope. To make matters worse there pursuers had caught up. "Give us the orbs!" they demanded. How did they know they had them. Seth saw no way out of this, he could grab Jewel and the orbs and slid down the rope quickly, but the ones waiting below would catch them.

As they reached the ledge, Jewel had to back peddle quickly or else she would of gone over the edge. Looking down, she saw a group of people dressed in white and her heart began to pound with fear. They looked alot like the Rockets. Hearing footsteps behind her, she turned sharply and saw their persuers. As she got even more frightened, Jewel didn't notice ice and snow beginning to swirl around her legs. Gritting her teeth, she laid her ears back before using blizzard on the people standing not too far from them. As the blast of ice and snow hit them, instead of freezing the group, it sent them flying backwards. "Come on." she said to Seth before moving towards the ledge once more.

"Nice," he said as Jewel let loose a blizzard. He nodded as she said to go and grabbed ahold of her, the orbs safely tucked under his arm as he slid down with her. "Use another blizzard as soon as our feet hit the ground," he told her. The slide down was loner then he thought his hand hurt a bit as the rope burned it but soon they hit the ground ith a thud. "Now Jewel!"

Jewel gasped when he grabbed her and began sliding down the rope. She could smell the rope burning his hand but she didn't say anything. Nodding after he told her to use blizzard when they reached the ground, she looked at the people that she was supposed to attack. She got ready to attack as they neared the ground and the moment her feet touched the ground, she let loose another blizzard not even a second after Seth spoke and it sent more of the people in white flying away from them.

The blizzard had worked, but it also made the area around them rather hard to see as the snow blew all around. He grabbed her hand "Come on," he said loudly as they began to ran. He didn;t know where they where going, only that it was away from Coronet. The snow was falling all around them as they ran. "Jewel...turn off the blizzard," he told her. He opened his eyes to see snow blazing all around them, it was cold and his feet where sunk a few inches deep in snow.

Jewel ran with Seth through the snow and ice, shivering and breathing heavily. It was only when they were several minutes away that she finally stopped the blizzard. She trembled and shivered from the cold, rubbing her arms. The snow and ice stopped swirlling around them and she looked around at the blanket of snow that laid upon the ground. "S-sorry." she stammered through chattering teeth.

Seth sighed, though he was still cold. It took him a bit to realize that where they had run to no longer was where he had thought. "I don;t think you did all this," he said. They where in a snow field he had no idea where they where. He noticed her chattering though. "Here put these one," he told her. He had packed her snow boats and gloves and oter winter appearal, he had as wlel, just n case the mountain had snow.

Jewel slowly pulled on her winter clothes and rubbed her numb ears to get more feeling into them. "Where are we Seth?" she asked him, looking around them in slight confusion. She looked over at him and reached over, taking the orbs that were wrapped in the blanket. "I wonder who those people were and why they wanted these." she murmured, unwrapping the orbs to look at them before covering them back up again.

"Well...I'd guess we are on route 216 or something...judging by the snow," he said looking at the map. "And those people...looked kinda like Rocket back home," he said sighing. "Well we'd better try and find a place to sleep....we can't camp out in this snow, we'd freeze to death"

She moved through the snow slowly while walking with him. "Maybe there's a pokemon center somewhere around here." she said softly. "Or a cave." She slid her pack off and opened it, pushing the orbs into it. "We should try to get as far from here as we can. We don't want those people to catch up to us."
