He has a staff as well as a wand. Because sometimes he just has to be able to whip something out that will impress with it’s length and girth.

That clears things up, he is basically overcompensating for something!

Seriously though it is a nice accent, you might want to make it more clear in your post.

We should also talk about Edmund's and Mina's history. She would have only been 2 years ahead of him in school, he being a Slytherin at the time of the death eaters uprising, she would likely harbor some suspicion of him. I'm not sure where you are going with him, but I'd be delighted if her suspicions were well founded in some way that we can explore IC.
 
I was thinking about perhaps venturing into this as well, honestly, though because of the activity that occured since it was settled into a more consistent scenario kept me from venturing in.

However, I decided against joining other group RPs since these seems to be the most active (and frankly entertaining) one so far. That is, if you'll have me.

As for what to play, I'm fine with a professor or student as needed. Do you have a Defense Against The Dark Arts professor? I can take that role, or I'm happy to play as a student or two as well. Probably he would be Ravenclaw.

I am fine with a futa/female secondary character if need be, also. Just let me know if any of that is good or if you all are full.
 
We do have a DADA teacher, and are generally high on professors. Student would be preferred.

I will read through the RP so far and create my character shortly to avoid any conflict or confusion.
 
You are most welcome to join us @Doctor Manhattan the DADA professorship has been taken by yours truly, but I would not be opposed to sharing some classes.

The top post of the character thread has a summary of the existing characters to give you some idea of openings. The head of Slytherin house has been spoken for but not yet confirmed. But please feel free to throw out some ideas. It is an "Open" RP so I don't strictly need to approve your character as long as we can all play nice together.

Oooh, well while a dual professorship sounds both exciting and confusing, haha, I think it would be better to simply allow you to have it, and then I can make dedicated students. So that's not a problem.

I'm looking at it now, thank you. I think Head of Slytherin will be taken so I'll figure it out what I want to do. Like I said, probably Ravenclaw works for me.

I always play nice. xD In all seriousness, I don't anticipate any issues but feel free to tell me if there is one and I'll be happy to accomodate you all.

I added my character. I'm going to read through and see if there's anywhere I should start, or if anyone wants to interact with my characer/has suggestions, please feel free to let me know.

Also if anything needs to be altered or changed in the thread, please let me know. I tried my best to make sure it was coherent but probably failed, lol. Don't hesitate to call me out.

Thank you, I definitely didn't want to intrude on anything going on already but since that one has just started I might do so. I should talk to Saber first however just to make sure.

Honestly I wanted to start from the very beginning but my private roleplays were rather busy as well as my schedule at work. Now things have settled down so I have a bit more time which means it should be fun to play around in this environment certainly.

Marcus is an NPC but I'll write him out as necessary; also feel free to use him as you like if you need to godmode him. He's laid back, chill, doesn't really get bothered by much and couldn't care less about the mystery, clearly, if that helps with his characterization.

Otherwise I did add my bit, hopefully it's not too bad and I look forward to seeing how it all shakes out.

So I have a couple of solid 1x1 scenes going in these group but am interested in something a bit more inclusive as well.

My thought is to have a lesson in DADA, perhaps an advanced class which might create opportunities for guest lecturers and such. I want the overall theme for these older, more mature students, to begin to include the full spectrum of things that might be sued against them. This will include somewhat especially given our forum, sexual undertones and overtures that might be employed to dominate an unsuspecting witch or wizard.

I envision this to be a relatively slow pace thread with myself posting more like once a week but let the 'class' discuss as much as they like, within reason. I don't necessarily want to have 3 pages of reading to do to get ready for the next post.

Let me know your thoughts and interest level, I think it would be open to all of our students. I will arrange opportunities for other professors as it fits the overall thread.
 
Sounds pretty interesting. So far you've been pretty stellar at setting this off and coordinating so I wouldn't mind something like that all. It'd be cool to explore the dark side of sexuality in that way and press the bounds of what is normal for Hogwarts.

My only hesitation is to see how many of us are still posted regularly and therefore would want to join in; it seems like a fair number are active so I'm down for whatever.

Based on the class alone, my character would naturally be a participant, as he is in DADA at N.E.W.T. level so it makes sense this would strike his fancy. Who knows, maybe he also secretly wants to see his professor squirm. In that way, specifically.
 
Perhaps an OWL in DADA is a prerequisite. We might call this the N.E.W.T. level class, I just don't want to turn it into a 7th year only thing.

It could also be a new somewhat improvised class that Mina, based on her own experience as a captive in the Wizarding War is bringing to the school. Either openly or covertly. @Frogger

I could see where such unusual and intensive training might need additional supervision and a high teacher to student ratio. At least that sounds like making a good case to the headmistress!

I can always set up a post for Marvel where a professor brings up this possibility, and we discuss? I really want to include her in something, so I was already playing with some ideas there.
