Brief Backstory: Mina spent a year as a captive of the death eaters before escaping to do her part to defeat them. She doesn't much like to talk about it but she learned much of her expertise the hard way. Worked as an Auror before coming back to Hogwarts to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts

Titus is good-natured if a bit... well, a lot cocky. He's not exactly the smartest guy. He's not always the best with magical theory or even sheer instinct or talent in most of his classes. If not for his way with magical creatures and an inexplicable talent for Potions, he might have been held back or expelled years ago. He's a hell of a Chaser, which only adds to his big head. However, he depends on a circle of friends and interested Hufflepuffs to make sure his grades are good adequate to retain eligibility. It's an uphill battle for them as he's usually more interested in brewing up some new potion, flirting with his tutors, or finding the next party. If not all three.

Brief Backstory: Though he's of magic blood on both sides, he was well aware of the non-magical world through his father's Muggle family. So, he mostly knows his way around the Muggle world and technology. His family struggled for money when he was younger. His father's business finally took off when Titus was in his third year. He suddenly found himself with money, and everything it brought with it. Unlike his younger sister, he remembers being poor so it hasn't really changed him.

Patronus: looks like some sort of large bird from what anyone could tell the few times he managed to get something close to a corporeal Patronus.

Pets: None at Hogwarts

Other: Can't be left alone the night before a Quidditch match as he's been found tied up and locked in a broom closet somewhere on three separate occasions.

Brief Backstory: Ayaka spent most of her life growing up in her home country of Japan. Ayaka's father is official for the Japanese Ministry of Magic and her Mother passed away when Ayaka was young. Ayaka started off attending Mahoutokoro, the Japanese wizarding school located on the volcanic island of Minami Iwo Jima. She was proving herself to be a raising star and gifted child. His older brother the top student in his class and many believed Ayaka would be as well. Ayaka's Father got transferred to work as part of the Ministry of Magic in Europe and the Ministry of Magic of Japan thought I be a good idea to transfer Ayaka to Hogwarts. With that decision made for her Ayaka has found herself in a strange school, with strangers.

Pets: A baby Giant Storm Petrel (A type of bird). Although a baby it is the size of large hawk.

Defense Against the Dark Arts: This class makes Ayaka uncomfortable. Practicing Dark Arts is outlawed in Japan. Ayaka feels uncomfortable even casting a small Jinx. Although she recognizes the practicality of the class, part of her irrational mind thinks that if she is too close to a dark spell she will be arrested when she returns to Japan.

Personality: Amelia is an outgoing individual, always interested in the stories of others. She's always been known to be the kind of girl to make as many friends as possible, and attempt to keep up with as many as she can. The effort involved in this is usually pretty high, the stress of it makes her have bouts of needing some intense alone time. While she's not on the quidditch team, she's made it a habit of flying around the castle in order to have said alone time. Unfortunately, she can be a bit of a gossip, divulging anything and everything without so much of a second thought, yet being willing to defend those she cares about fiercer than an enraged centaur. In addition, she's not the most motivated academically. She's fully capable of succeeding and even becoming a top scoring student in her year. She's got no drive for it, and ends up using most of her talent on other pursuits.

Brief Backstory: Being the middle of three children, Amelia learned independence from a very young age, and was always eager to learn magic as soon as possible. A gift of a spellbook for children at age seven inspired a deep love of reading and of magic, perhaps to the chagrin of her parents. The five of them lived on the outskirts of Dublin, Ireland, in a comfortable yet modest home. She was always the popular one out of her three siblings, which tended to make Vincent and Mary quite jealous, especially when she learned how to cast second year spells before Vincent had mastered them.

Brief Backstory: Charlotte comes from old blood with a long history of producing talented and gifted wizards. Her family is well connected in the ministry and in the wizarding world. Although during HIS revolution some of Charlotte's family sided with the Dark Lord. Despite this disgrace they were able to withstand it. Charlotte is much more cleaver than many give her credit for. Some think her a snobby bitchy slut but Charlotte is also manipulative and knows how to get what she wants. Whether it is money, grades or a dumb Hufflepuffs seed.

Personality: It was no wonder to anyone who knew Leslie when she got sorted into the Ravenclaw house. From young age she liked to read, might it be educational, political or just good old romantic novels, she liked it all. Though, unlike others from her house she wasn't a typical bookworm. In addition to reading, she loved to spends time with her friend and enjoy herself as much as she could. She liked to make friends, especially among the other houses, Gryffindor being her favorite due to their carefree and brash attitude.

Brief Backstory: Leslie's father, Arran Blackwood, runs a law firm in the muggle world. His family had been in the business for more than a half a century. It was quite bit of a shock for Arran, when he discovered that magic was indeed real and his wife was an actual witch. Thankfully, he had taken the revelations far better than Leslie's mother, Nessa, had expected. Both Arran and Nessa had spoiled Leslie but had also taught her to be responsible. Her father had made sure to teach her muggle law as well as magical, with the help of her mother.

Personality: Generally positive person, frames himself as an extroverted, socially confident man though being more introverted. True to Hogwarts legacy, Eric has an only moderate concern for safety regulations, and has extended that mindset to other matters of appropriate actions with students. The one thing he did believe was that too much stress for a teenager with uncontrolled magic was more dangerous than most of the perils within the halls.

Quidditch: Chaser 6th and 7th year, was too uncoordinated in his younger years

Family: Pure blood, nothing too illustrious. "Perfectly tolerable" status among pure bloods.

Brief Backstory: Wasted most of his money running an independent wand store, without the benefit of ministry subsidies for new students who got theirs from Ollivander. After that, accepted a teaching position with a "wandlore" class, but the student turnout didn't justify continuation of the class after three years, and after the Potions professor resigned, Eric took the position a year ago. This year, after a retirement, he became the Head of House for Gryffindor.

Personality: Charles is a daydreamer; kind-hearted, creative, and prone to getting lost in his own thoughts. He harbours a number of insecurities about himself and his place in the wizarding world, which have led to him becoming a little shy, withdrawn, and overly-studious in an attempt to compensate. Other students are likely to find Charles sitting by the lake or tucked into an alcove somewhere, scribbling away in a book or staring out at the Forbidden Forest.

Though he's had very little experience and few opportunities to practice, Charles dearly loves to fly.

Family: A Muggle mother. No siblings, never knew his father.

Brief Backstory: A muggle-born from Edinburgh with no established ties to the wizarding world — Charles' invitation to Hogwarts came as quite a shock to the young boy and his mother! Even years later, he's had a difficult time adjusting. While the young Ravenclaw has developed a deep sense of love and wonder towards the magical world, he's burdened with insecurities about his place in it. Other students seem to take so many things for granted which catch Charles off-guard; even other muggle-borns seem more at home in this world than he is! As a result of these doubts, Charles has largely turned inward and focused a little too much on his studies. He hasn't made many friends in his time at Hogwarts so far.

The upcoming O.W.L. year has Charles especially stressed. His results this year are going to determine his options for a future in a world he still barely understands; the thought terrifies him! In an attempt to distract himself from that, he's spent the recent holidays away from home, working in Diagon Alley — getting a little bit more exposure to the magical world, and saving up to purchase his own broom.

Her high scores rank her in the upper percentile of the student body, a fact which she flaunts to any and everyone. She is always the first to raise her hand, regularly showing up the other students with her knowledge ranging from Divination and Herbology to hidden facts about famous wizards.

Family Backstory: The Fiddlewoods are a discrete wizarding family, lacking notable talents to their name and extraordinary witches. In fact, Delilah is the only child out of two that cared for the arts, and the first to attend Hogwarts. Though, her older brother, Wolfe, graduated ten years ago from an obscure magical school and made a name for himself in the Ministry of Magic. He pushes paper and only uses his wand for the mundane activities that Delilah dislikes. Delilah believes her endless desire to learn and explore the unknown is why she, of all the Fiddlewoods under the sky was the only one to be granted access to Hogwarts. She hoped to elevate her family name in her own way.

Zachariah is difficult to know, or to understand. It isn't very often he dares to let anyone in, and it has to be someone he trusts implicitly. It is his cool, professional exterior that hides his more generous and sympathetic nature. Zachariah is strict, but fair.

Brief Backstory:
There isn't much to tell. Zachariah was raised among several siblings, and while he has lost touch with a few, he made sure not to lose touch with his younger sister, Kylie. At one point she fell in love and married a Muggle… and although he did not particularly like her decision, he respected it… despite Mother being completely against it for some reason. It wasn't until years later that he learned she had a daughter, or an affair with another man. Apparently the fairy-tale ending she wanted so badly just… wasn't a reality, not with the Muggle. Kylie was in a horrible situation, however, because the 'other man' was killed during his job as an Auror. To help out, Zachariah sort of… took them all under his wing. It is strange to be living together under the same roof again, but it is… interesting to be living among Muggles and wizards.

Personality:
Stella is of a clever mind, with a strong sense of responsibility and an appreciation of the finer things in life. It is most likely because of the fact she is always having to share everything with her younger siblings. Home and family means a great deal to her, don’t get her wrong… but it’s nice to have time to enjoy herself as ‘Stella’, and not as someone’s daughter or older sister. Stella is more serious than most, and is not inclined to make light of things, and in comparison to others her age, she has more mature interests. It is because of this that others feel they can rely on her. Unfortunately… Stella does have a tendency to be a little too independent, and finds it difficult to accept help when she should.

Brief Backstory:
What is there to say? Not much. Stella has had to assume responsibility over her younger siblings early on, as to not burden her mother or uncle any more than necessary. It came... to be a little of a surprise when a letter from Hogwarts arrived, but she was also delighted. It was a chance to branch out, to cultivate her independent and individuality... and yet, it does little to dispel the worry that plagues her. Are the other Glass siblings doing alright? It is because of this that she writes home often.

Ironically enough, Stella has two pets: one is a beautiful Great-Horned Owl that looks more intimidating than she actually is. It was an owl that her uncle bought her, when she received her Hogwarts letter. After some deliberation, she decided to name her Athena.

The other pet is a small kitten she discovered shortly before she was meant to leave. It is pure white, except for the front left paw, which looks as though it stepped into a puddle of ink. This little guy she named Scholar.

Personality:
Reagan is one who loves nature and the great outdoors. All the beauties and mysteries that are and can be discovered are an inspiration. Perhaps it is partly because of the cultural differences between her and the other students, but Reagan often finds it difficult to expression herself -at least, verbally. It does not help she often comes across as being too positive or too blunt, and although she is easily offended by others... she doesn't show it. Reagan craves affection and understanding, but alas, she has been accused of being cool and aloof. A very introspective person, Reagan is very self-conscious, and doesn't reach out very often.

Wand:
Willow wood of 8 inches, with a core of Phoenix Feather. Quite Pliable.

Uh... Maybe? Reagan hasn't had a chance to try out yet.

Brief Backstory:
There really isn't much to tell. Reagan received her Dream Messenger, as does any other student, though her parents were delighted to learn there was a witch in the family. Apparently it ran through both sides of the family, but neither of them possessed any magical abilities. During the summer before her first year, Reagan was made to read through every textbook, just to 'prove herself worthy'. It was exhausting, and yet... she is exemplary because of just that. Reagan is very good at non-verbal spells, executing spells through hand gestures, and at Transfiguration. Herbology is one of her other best subjects, and most certainly her favorite.

Nickname: Some tried "Ellie", she put out signals to her friends to quash it without being open about doing it.

Personality:
Whether on her good days or bad, Eleanor can do icy detachment with the best of them. However, her mask of propriety hides bursts of smoldering annoyance or playful mischief depending on her swinging moods. Generally competitive, she able to quash disappointment to bubble up into pranking vengeance or a torrent of anger at later times. The one thing known to distract her is energetic music, featuring a driving beat. Not any of that artsy stuff, where the singer's trying to get a message across, or be different. That and cats.

Family:
Gareth Selwyn - father, suspected (but uncharged) Death Eater
Elisse Selwyn (nee Avery) – Obliviator with the Ministry, Assistant Secretary for Magical Accidents and Catastrophies; leading supporter of the idea that the department is too deferential to muggle lives, and should operate based on efficiency, not empathy.

Brief Backstory: A member of the pure-blooded Selwyn lineage, Eleanor carries herself with that slightly superior attitude. Her father was suspected of being a Death Eater, but due to a magical backlash, spent most of the Second Wizarding War in a coma and thus could not be charged with anything. Her mother is a notorious advocate for scaling back Muggle deference.

However, no one has ever heard Eleanor herself use terms like 'mud-blood' or laughing at someone else's heritage, even if she attends all the right parties and gatherings for that kind of thing.

At Hogwarts, she is in her third year as a wildly successful Keeper. There's just one blemish. Everytime she faces Hufflepuff, she gets beaten like a drum by their chaser Titus, something that drives her absolutely insane.

As an "unexpected Gryffindor", with the Selwyn family generally sorted into Slytherin, some believe the Sorting Hat made a mistake. Even her wand is yew - like Voldemorts! Though it should be noted, Eleanor has come to the rescue of other students in over their heads with enchantments or magical creatures.

Brief Backstory: William was an Auror who served as a liaison with the Metropolitan Police Service until 2015, when he retired after helping stop an attempted magical terror attack in the London Underground. The experience cost him his left leg below the knee, as well as significant nerve damage that required nearly six months of magical therapy to heal.

Originally hired to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts, he was forced out of the position after his first year due to parental protests over his "harsh" (he would say "practical") methods of instruction. Because the school had an excellent Magical Law staff, he was made Adjunct Professor of Transfiguration, a magical discipline he has remarkable talent for. When Professor Athelmbe Greengrass retired two years ago, he took over as the primary instructor.

Quidditch?: Alex got drafted (by a friend of his) into the Ravenclaw team in his third year, and has stuck with it because he enjoys flying. He plays Chaser.

Family and Brief Backstory: Alex is the son of a muggle father (Henry Merwyn) and an Indian Brahmin witch (Hana Agrawal). His father was a British Foreign Office liason to the Indian Ministry of Magic, and married his mother during his tour of duty in Delhi. When Henry was recalled to England in the wake of the second Death Eater uprising, Hana returned with him.

Alex has been raised with an appreciation for teachings of both the muggle and wizard worlds, and is far more comfortable with technology than most wizards. He has dabbled with enchanting technological devices, but his experiments have (so far) been small and secret.

Patronus: A blue flapshell turtle wielding a mace.

Familiars: Two crows, named Vicara and Smrti.

Personality: Amir is pretty confident, just shy of being cocky. A skilled wizard, he excels in Charms especially, and has show to be rather good at Potions as well. The only thing he cares about right now are his N.E.W.T. scores and all the lovely ladies on campus that he feels like he hasn't spent nearly enough time with.

Wand: Larch, Unicorn Feather, 10". He very much wanted to import a Hawthorn wand from Gregorovitch but his parents don't feel he's ready enough. He, of course, disagrees.

Quidditch: Doesn't play, is a fan of the Ravenclaw team and supports them avidly when he's not studying his ass off.

Raj Khanna, Father - currently serving in the Ministry of Magic at a low level, though it pays well.

Parvati Khanna, Mother - though she is also a witch, works a Muggle job at Talbot's near where their home is.

Brief Backstory: Amir knew from a very young age that he had some special abilities, and tried to hone them in without much success - until the letter came. Both of his folks could not have been more proud, and his father swiftly encouraged him to succeed at the maximum possible level. Despite being pushed so hard, he thrived, even when his mother did her best to make things easier and perhaps not stress him out too much. He's too driven, though, and too much like his dad. Amir wants to be the best wizard in the world, when it comes down to it, and rarely lets anything stand in his way and prevent that.

Pets: He has an owl who goes by Barnes. The owl is, much like him, pretty quiet overall.

Lillian was born at the stroke of midnight to two Pureblood wizards, Annabella and Octavious Hawthrone. They were proud to have her in their lives because she brought a breath of fresh air to their current environment. She never knew what that meant but supposedly, they were in a pretty bad spot whenever she was born. Lillian possessed her wizard abilities pretty early on and at the age of eleven, she received her letter for Hogwarts, which made her parents extremely proud. She enjoyed her time at the school, being immediately placed into Slytherin because of her lineage, and became close to everyone else within the house very, very quickly.​

After Hogwarts, her father retired as an Auror and she helped her mother run the bakery for a few months before being offered a teaching position at the school of witchcraft and wizardry. Although she couldn't accept the job right away because tragedy struck whenever her father passed away from an unseen illness. It wasn't until her mother told her that she shouldn't stop doing what she loved because of what happened. Lillian really adored Charms whenever she was a pupil at Hogwarts, so it was only right that she teach it since it seemed like no one else was able to.​

Since being at Hogwarts, she felt that she has really staked her claim on being one of the best professors there and even became Head of Slytherin, something that she never would've predicted. She tries to run the house with the qualities that a member of the Slytherin House should possess.​

Personality: Terry is a clown, pure and simple. He goofs off, plays games, and loves to be the center of the attention. Despite this, like all Ravenclaws, he's got a deeply thoughtful core. You just have to get him interested.
History: Terry's family is Muggles, as far back as anyone can find. It was purely a shock to him and to his family when he found out he's a wizard. Since that discovery, he's thrown himself into magical studies with a passion.
Bloodlines: Mudblood.
Hobbies: Quidditch, enough so that he's been a bludger since his second year and the team captain for his fifth and sixth years. He has hopes of going pro. He also enjoys cooking.

Description: Molly is short and pleasingly round, standing barely 5' 4" and weighing around 120 lbs. She's got a sparkling smile and laughing brown eyes and lots of dark curly hair that rarely cooperates with her.
Personality: Bubbly and enthusiastic, to the extent of seeming irrational. Molly does nothing by half measures, nothing at all. There is a streak of iron in her, though, and she does not suffer bigots and bullies.
History: Molly's actually related to the Noble and Most Ancient Family of Black on her mother's side. Her several-greats grandmother was Isla Black, who married a muggle named Bob Hitchens and was disowned for it. Her own mother was a witch, Iona Hitchens, who married a squib named Harold Jigger.
Bloodlines: The Most Ancient Family of Black, disowned.
Hobbies: Astronomy. Care of Magical Creatures. Debate. She also has the gift of parseltongue, which unnerves many Gryffindors and Huffelpuffs and irritates a number of Slytherin.

Personality: Driven to impart his personal experiences and knowledge of the wizarding world outside the walls of Hogwarts, Felias seeks to expand the minds of his students and help them explore their interests away from magic. While he does not denounce his magical heritage, Felias believes that magic and technology both have made students lax. He prefers to do things with his hands rather than depend on magic to accommodate basic activities such as cleaning, packing, and writing with the use of magic quills (Rita Skeeter be damned).

He takes joy in the simpler things and can often be found walking the grounds when he is not writing out lesson plans or grading papers in his classroom. He is very direct and would rather get to the point of an objective rather than dance around the subject. This personality trait takes a 180 in the classroom where he will often theorize and relate to students, getting them involved in his discussions; anything to make the study of ancient runes more interesting to them.

Family: Felias' direct family from both sides are pureblooded and both were placed in Hufflepuff, making his choice of Slytherin even more of an oddity. His mother and father are both family practitioners at their local clinic where they have used their magic for the greater good of healing others. His father works in physiotherapy while his mother works in orthopedics, both in the magical sense. Both wanted him to pursue the art of healing but Felias was more interested in the art of calligraphy.

Brief Backstory: As mentioned, Felias' parents wanted him to focus on school, particularly potions, so he could work in the field of medicine as they had. Instead, Felias felt more drawn toward the significance of written words, specifically the art of calligraphy. The study of Ancient Runes became his favorite class, particularly when Professor Babbling was still a teacher.

After applying himself toward the field of ancient runes, Felias took a brief sabbatical once he graduated from Hogwarts and went to Italy where he completed a short internship with the Italian Ministry of Magic. There he spent a year as an administrative assistant to a member of the Department of Mysteries, taking time to decode text written in often forgotten languages and transcribing various articles of text over to legible parchment for documentation purposes. With a glowing recommendation from the Head of the Department, Felias returned to London to work for a time in the Department of Magical Artifacts under Sage Bragnam (Head Curator), cataloguing different magical items as the Logistics manager and coordinator while at the same time acting on the Ministry of Magic Research Committee.

Upon hearing of Professor Babbling's impending retirement, Felias decided to place his application at Hogwarts where he would hopefully be starting this year once he receives a letter of acceptance for the position.

Personality: Curious and occasionally whimsical. Meadow finds mortals endlessly fascinating, and can be surprisingly insightful about them as a result of her long life — but she also doesn’t always fully understand them.

Wand: N/A. Meadow cannot perform magic as a witch or wizard might, but as a magical creature, she has a few abilities of her own. She can go unseen when she wishes, alter her appearance to an extent, communicate with plants and animals, and sometimes seems to forget to walk upon the ground; some students claim to have seen her dancing across the lake at night.

Quidditch: No, but she enjoys watching from a distance.

Family: There are rumors of other women like Meadow in the Forbidden Forest, but she always changes the subject when it is brought up.

Brief Backstory: Meadow is some manner of nature spirit, akin to a wood nymph or dryad, though her exact nature defies the standard classifications. She has occasionally appeared to various staff and students at Hogwarts throughout the centuries, and is believed to come from somewhere in the Forbidden Forest, but it is only in recent years that she has become closely involved with the school. She took over after the previous Groundskeeper owing to an agreement with the Headmaster at the time; she’s close-lipped about what exactly the terms of that agreement are, but she evidently considers Headmistress Rose to have inherited them. Her original appointment was the source of some controversy, but the school eventually convinced most of the concerned parents that she was harmless — especially once they impressed upon her the importance of wearing clothing around the students.

Throughout the day Meadow can be found almost anywhere throughout the grounds or the borders of the Forbidden Forest, caring for the plant and wildlife and generally convincing things to behave. She rarely steps foot inside the castle proper, preferring not to be enclosed by its walls.

Tall and curvy, with deep blue eyes and a mane of flaming red hair. Sarah tends to wear peasant skirts and blouses, colorful vests, and lots of chunky jewelry. Laura prefers jeans and t-shirts and jackets with lots of pockets. Laura also has a sleeve tattoo on her right forearm of roses braided through the radius and ulna, and the phrase "In omnibus operibus tuis memorare novissima tua, et in aeternum non peccabis" tattooed along her ribs on the left side of her body. Sarah has a red and black butterfly tattooed on her lower back, and the signs of the zodiac around her wrists.

Personality: Sarah is bubbly and outgoing, constantly making friends and always the life of the party. Laura is an adrenaline junkie, living fast and hard.

Sexuality: Sarah started life as a Kinsey 1 (predominantly heterosexual), but has moved towards a Kinsey 2 (predominantly heterosexual but more than incidentally homosexual) after several decades sharing her body with Laura. Laura is pansexual and sapiosexual, and unconcerned about the species of her partners. Both sisters are scrupulous about obtaining their sibling's consent before acting on their urges.

Family: Sarah and Laura are descendants of a line of witches tracing back to a Josephine Sumner who was born in 15th century France and (apparently) died in early 18th century New England.

Brief Backstory: For centuries, the gift of magic has run in the women of the Sumner family, much further back than the Sumner name, back to the prehistory of Ireland. It was Josephine Sumner, however, who made the bargain that would define the family for the last three hundred years. Every girl child of her line would be powerful, at the cost of the first-born girl's life in each generation. Accident, illness, murder, the bargain didn't care. All that mattered was the death itself.

Sarah strangled her twin sister in the womb.

Technically, Sarah's umbilical cord wrapped around Laura's throat and the midwife couldn't get it untangled in time. But the cause didn't matter - Laura was dead, the pact was sealed for another generation, and Sarah would be a powerful witch.

Sarah grew up bright and cheerful and intelligent. She grew up mostly alone as well, raised away from Muggle and even Wizard society and schooled in the family traditions of magic. She never felt alone, though. Because her dead sister was her constant companion. The living girl and the dead played and laughed and dreamed together. And learned together, from their mother and grandmother, and from the ghosts in the local graveyard and the barrow near their home. Sarah was ten before she realized that most children didn't have a spectral sister with them all the time.

At the age of fifteen, following the Sumner tradition, Sarah left home to wander the British Isles and seek wisdom in the wider world. The twins rode in Tinkers wagons and astride Sidhe horses, walked hiking trails and fairy trods, sailed in eggshells and flew on yarrow stalks. Sarah learned the art of astral projection and Laura learned to possess an empty body, and they began alternating who was staring out at the world through the eyes Sarah was born with.

Sarah's uncommon set of skills were discovered by the Ministry when they reorganized in the wake of the second Death-Eater Uprising. They were hired as a Consulting Necromancer for several years, assisting in building cases against suspected Death Eaters by questioning their victims and interrogating their dead colleagues.

They came to Hogwarts because she grew bored with judicial work and decided they were interested in teaching.

Patronus: Technically, they don't have or need one the necromantic gifts of the twins and their shared connection between life and death render them immune to the Dementor's Kiss and similar magical effects.

Familiar: A large black crow named Arawn.

Magical Talents: Both sisters have an excellent grounding in herbalism, astrology, charms, and wards and bindings. They are also exceptional necromancers, used here in the original meaning of individuals who talk to the dead for knowledge. They also have an encyclopedic knowledge of divination, with Sarah preferring cartomancy (she illustrated her own scrying deck) and scrying, while Laura utilizes umbromancy and palmistry.

Both sisters have also spent so much time as ghosts that they can see in the dark. They can also always see ghosts.

Name: Antonin Delacroix

Personality:
Antonin is the sort of man that’s really difficult to get to know. His persona is that of a cynical man, one who appreciates the finer things in life. More often than not, Antonin is smoking - a habit he never could quite kick over the years. He loves good music and literature, and he doesn’t mind debating art or philosophy, long as he’s interested. Antonin also commands respect for his authority, but regardless he comes across as cold and empathetic.

Wand:
Twelve inches of Blackthorn, with a core of Dragon Heartstring

Quidditch?:
As the Flying Professor, he plays referee to the childish antics pulled by the Quidditch players. Sometimes he'll try to pull others into an impromptu game, just for the he'll of it.

None to speak of.

Brief Backstory:
Many years ago, Antonin was a student here at Hogwarts. Just like everyone else, he spent his years studying, and found his talents lay in potion-making. After graduating with full marks on his O.W.L.s and his N.E.W.T.s, he decided to continue his education elsewhere. Unfortunately his studies led him to making a trip to Transylvania, to a specific herb grown there that can only be harvested during a full moon for maximum potency. Antonin crossed paths with a vampire there… and the rest is history.

Horrified at first, Antonin cast aside what little family he had in favor of roaming the country. In his mind, he lost any and all purpose. What could he possibly do, besides harm others? Yes, Antonin was rather cynical before, but it wasn’t out of malice. He wandered, and if you ask him, he couldn’t tell you all where he went. It was just a blur. It wasn’t until the Headmaster reached out to him that he found a new purpose in life. Granted, it's difficult to tell, but he does love to teach.

Vampires burning to a fiery crisp in the sunlight is just a myth. It burns his eyes, so he'll cast a spell or wear sunglasses to compensate. Is he strong? Most certainly. Watch out.
