Lucian smiled in satisfaction, along with a nod. "With catlike tread, hm?" He asked, chuckling softly, while Aelius drummed his figners on the ground, while Varrik peered at Tawny, studying her. "...What if we just motivate Felicity then? We know there's an artifact in the gnolls' lair, right? Tell her to take anything that looks particularly artifact-y," The half-elf said. "Plus, I'm sure we can give her motivation. I'd say she should be involved in the planning with us, but that's, mm...probably a bit of a futile and empty hope for now."

"Just offer her a fiveway," Aelius chirped with his smile in back in place, Adrian listening silently, his eyes darting over each participant in the conversation. "All of us for a job well done. Simple!"

Lucian heard Nia's suggestion, choosing to ignore Aelius's little 'suggestion,' as he raised an eyebrow in surprise at Nia's aptitude. "In the midst of the formation...hm, if that's the case, it makes sense. When we say they hit Tawny the hardest..." he considered numbers and fighting power. "There's nothing else for it, we'll have to take it all on together," he said as he looked to the map. "Environmental advantage is ours as well. If we put oruselves here, they can't outflank us- " he stopped at Tawny's question. The hiss...well, that one made him wince a bit. "...It won't be a problem, Tawny," he said. "Hasn't been now, won't be....Nia , I appreciate it, but..."

"He got in the Land of Mists," Adrian said bluntly. "Ain't the kinda thing that you can just magic off. Takes a lot, we've learnt to live with it. It's fixed to him as tightly as horniness is to Felicity. That ain't changing anytime soon. Save the slot for the fight and we'll take care of it."

"Don't suppose we can try talking to any of the gnolls still?" Varrik hardly sounded serious with the suggestion and wasn't even trying, Luc rolling his eyes.

"All goes well, we'll have the pick of it. How long do you need before we move out? If there's anything anyone needs to do beforehand..."

"Who's havin' a what-way?" asked the tiefling, suddenly less interested in her book and hurrying over. "Did I miss the fun part?" She looked down at the map, her button nose wrinkling at the appearance of it. The last thing she was interested in was strategy or anything of the sort, and her tail flicked. They probably just needed her to go in and steal something or assassinate a leader (she'd told them she wasn't the best for that, but that didn't always sink in).

At least Felicity was present, though she was already poking the map as if she could try and get it to move. Tawny batted the hand a little, tail twitching. "I brought more potions," two more, but she wasn't going to count even with Zafah giving her a long, almost withering stare. "If it won't be a problem for you, it certainly won't for me," she finished with certainty, giving a sharp nod and almost daring them to argue otherwise.

There was a beat about the land of mists, which only resonated with one :"Fuckin' Ravenloft?" spat Zafah. "The fuck were you boys doing there? No, wait, I don't wanna know," she also didn't want to tell them why she'd been in the mists herself. That had been back with the asshole, heading up some... parties. Things had gotten rough there, to say the least.

"We can try talking," offered Nia, "but they're not great at it at the best of times. Plus they have everything they want except, um, well," she awkwardly pointed at the four female adventurers.

"Probably Varrik too, he's just so pretty," offered Zafah helpfully.

"We should take one last night's rest while we can," said Tawny, ignoring her companion. "There's still another half a day's journey until we even hit their territory, and some more time after that. This is a pretty established camp, so we should be safe, but obviously we should take watch. Have to decide if we're splitting into already established pairs or doing new ones?" She looked around, as if asking for volunteers.

"Um, I could do two, if we need?" volunteered Nia. "I only need half as much rest as the rest of you and, ah," she turned a little pink, "maybe another two hours on top of that?" Which most knew was to tend to herself in various other ways, though praying was included. "But I'll cede to group decision."

"Going cross-team would make for great bonding," Felicity pointed out. "Mebbe with people who haven't talked much, like, I unno, me and Adrian... Nia and Luc..." she was out of ideas because she didn't know who else to pair off. Maybe Aelius and Tawny? That would be a weird pairing. At least Varrik and Zafah could bond over being half-elves and moody.

"....Someone said the magic words," Aelius remarked, unable to hide his amusement despite the previous issues with Felicity. Luc was holding, it seemed, no grudges at all. In fact, the paladin had just focused on the mission there, not speaking to anyone in the Charitable Renegades out of the purview of the mission. "Well! If nothing else, we know how to bribe Felicity here, now don't we?"

"Felicity. The map will not respond. The map is not your friend. Because it is a map." Varrik said in a tone drier than the great deserts to the south. "I also promise I'll make sure you get...I don't know, sweet buns after this- " he paused as Aelius began to laugh softly. "Not like THAT, you useless pervert- "

"Takes one to know one, Varry!"

"BACK to the plan, gentlemen," Lucian said, his eyes on Tawny's here. "Potions work. It won't be an issue for me, either. So good, along with that..." the mention of theMists brought the expected reaction as he grinned nervously.

"We...got roped into some kinda scheme that saw us dragged in. One of the wolves gave me a bite during the fight before I snapped his neck. We manage to get out, but...let's just say some of the Darklords really don't like it when you keep them from escaping the Mists....first thing we know, we're being swallowed up by the dan things, then we're by a place called Falkovnia and they're trying to fit Aelius, Varrik and Adrian on stakes..."

"We did get to Barovia. That was fun."

"Delightful if you like vampires...we got out. At least," Lucian added with a wave of his hand. Nia's suggestion, at least, had merit. He had a sense things were tense in the group at best...with some barely knowing one another. He may have screwed up immensely, but...well...no reason not to be friendly among one another. Also, best to respect at least some boundaries....

"Well, no offering Varrik to the gnolls."

"Did that REALLY need a clarification!!?"

"We can mix that up...a bit," Lucian said. "Felicity's right, so is Nia...I think it might be best we do dual shifts for this. You and Adrian would be- " he saw Adrian giving him a 'REALLY' look and gave Adrian a 'NO ARGUMENT' look in turn. Adrian sighed deeply and grumbled, while Luc glanced at Felicity.

"Sure," he said. "I'll take a watch with Nia. "...At this point, we should rotate off, so- "

"How about Felicity and you, Luc? She could stand to learn some strategy?" Varrik offered. "S'pose I'll take a watch with Zafah. Maybe she can get one with Ade in the spirit of solidarity..."

"Oh, that leaves Tawny and I!" Aelius said. "How lovely, we can bond over who has the better tail! It's me, by the by."

"Let's just..." Lucian looked between them. "Things have been tense. Let's try to get along and remember why we're here. We can do this. And we will. All of it."He gave Nia a grateful look.

"And thank you," he said. For being the voice of reason, he added internally.

"Stupid map's been my friend before," grumbled Felicity, glaring at the map as if it wronged her. She really had seen enchanted maps before, the sort who changed with direction. There had even been one that spoke in poetry or taunts, and she swore there was one that wrote them instead, something managing mischief. She may be thinking about a book she read instead. She gave the map another testing prod all the same, wanting to make sure.

The Renegades let the Wolves mention the whole journeying through the mist thing, though only one of them really understood what they were talking about and what was going on. Zafah let out a slight chuckle, thinking of this gang dropping into Barovia. "Strahd's got this whole weird thing going on, but he's a pretty decent fuck," she offered, not even knowing for sure if they'd even met the vampire. Her friends, who had heard that story, gave her the usual odd display of looks, ranging from something close to pity (Nia) to bordering on outright arousal (Felicity).

Did they need clarification on whether or not to give up Varrik? "Yeah, a little," said Zafah, wiggling a few fingers at him. And this was before they even decided on potentially pairing the two of them off for watch. Poor guy. Zafah probably wouldn't sacrifice him to the gnolls. You know, if there were other options available. She was pretty sure she'd prefer that over the alternative, since the last time she'd had canine dick it had been... interesting.

What? The asshole and her had gotten off on her fucking horror shit.

Tawny shook her head. "You're making it confusing," she flicked her tail. "Pair off, do it that way. So..." she looked to Aelius, smirking, "yeah; us. And my tail is obviously better," she flicked it. "It's fluffy."

She nodded. "Right, I'll take a middle watch. The whole night vision plus ears thing," she jerked a thumb. "Felicity just about has to take first watch, as she's no good for any of the others."

"That's true," admitted the tiefling, who had finished playing with the map and was now up and stretching.

"I would prefer last watch?" offered Nia, looking to Luc. "if that's alright?"

With the input from the wolves, that should more or less settle things. The Renegades would break off for their own thing: Zafah taking another smoke just on the ring of their camp; Felicity digging back for her book until the watch started; Tawny doing some last stretches; Nia moving into her nightly routine (which was less involved than her morning, but still involved things like rubbing down cremes and the like).

Felicity's antics actually brought a smile to Lucian's lips. He couldn't help but find her endearing, even if Adrian was having his patience tried. "The map apologizes for its betrayal. Felicitously." He added with a slow grin over his own face, while Adrian rolled his eyes, grumbling how it was merely a bloody map. Felicity's poking and prodding did not succeed at rousing the map, however.

At mention of Strahd, the Wolves paused at that, giving nervous looks. 'We'll, uh...we'll take your word for it," Aelius said demurely. "It was hard to really notice that when he was trying to get a way to escape the Mists off of us."

"Or our corpses," Adrian growled. "Lucky we got out of that one alive. Least we did better with him than we did Falkovnia. Fuck Drakov."

"Fuck Drakov," Varrik muttered "Least the Lich in Darkon played ball- "

"Guys. Focus," Lucian reminded them. "Alright, Tawny's right, just keep paired for the time being. Seems things are going swimmingly here so far, so...just ground rules? Keep watch and don't give Varrik to the gnolls."

"Does that REALLY need to be said? I don't care for gnolls, thank you." Varrik tested the edge of his knife as he sat back, shaking his head wearily. "Aelius and Tawny, fine then..."

Aelius was looking at Tawny, in mock offense. "AHEM," he said, pointing at his tail. "Mine is sleek, decorated and more colorful!" He flicked his, showing off the gold bracelet upon it. "And it's more prehensile and useful. Just ask Felicity!"

"Why am I not surprised Felicity should take first?" Adrian sighed. He looked at Luc. "...I guess I'm taking first. Unless you want to swap here."

"i'll pay you back, Ade? Just roll with it?"

"Fine..." The half-orc just sounded resigned. He looked over at Nia, giving her a slight smile, making it clear he truly did want to speak with her soon.

The Wolves settled for their own...Aelius was doing evening prayers for the loss of the sun, Varrik was...off in the shadows doing Varrik things. Adrian had stalked over to begin doing practice manuevers with Lucian, both performing exercise....the two even sparring briefly to blow off steam, before the time for watch began to near upon them, Adrian looking...resigned.

"Let's just do this..."

"Got it, rest of you are open for gnoll negotiations," offered Zafah wryly, not unable to keep herself contained.

"Hey! Guys, I'm right here!" Felicity said, putting her hands on her hips. "And I'm damn fun to be around, thankyouverrah much, even if you ain't thinkin' about humpin' me," she stuck her tongue out, tail flicking, outright pouting now. "I know how to be serious. Just don't wanna,' she did look over at Adrian, letting her eyes roam. Half-orc ticked a whole bunch of boxes, and while his kinda dickish, standoffish behavior might be getting the rest of the Renegades riled up, it actually played right into a whole bunch of Felicity's fantasies. She was almost willing to bet money she could finagle him into doing at least something.

People settled, and eventually Adrian came up to her. Felicity closed her book, looking up at him. "So.... whaddaya gonna do to me if I misbehave, hmm?" she asked, bringing her tail up to flick at him, poking his chest. "'cuz if you're gonna be difficult about it, mebbe you should just do the stupid watch on your own," she knew the slightly spoiled tiefling noble in her was coming out, but, well, part of her was hoping she'd be just cute enough to get him to react appropriately, and part of her was kinda hoping to get him to just kinda be all pissy about it. Really win/win for her.

"s'not like anythin' every bugs a group durin' first watch. Not anythin' smart," she shrugged. "everybody knows they're gonna try an' wait until we're more or less asleep, keep our guard down an' all that. Mebbe I should just go bug someone else," she twisted, "I'm bettin' Luc's feelin' all worked up 'bout now...." Oh, she knew she was pushing buttons, but, well, she kinda wanted to see what happened. Plus, she knew that her best chance for getting angry fucked by the half-orc was to, well, make him angry at her.

Really, she was just looking to have a good time, and yeah, maybe pretend to be a heroine along the way. Simple. Easy. And near as she could tell "good time" was a burly half-orc in front of her.

"...Throw you to the gnolls first," Varrik threw back with a scowl, albeit one that showed he was jesting right back. He was finding Zafah's speed with joking now., something that was lightening his mood considerably. "I'd argue we throw Felicity to them, but frankly at this rate, they should be paying us for the privilege with how eager she is for that."

Adrian would've been more amenable to Felicity in other circumstances, but with Nia and everything else? He wasn't showing it but he was considerably frustrated with the tiefling now. He was beginning to figure, however, this was only getting her heated up all the more...not exactly conducive to anything he currently wanted. He knew he'd have to stay on his toes through all this.

With everyone away as of the start of watch, Adrian took his spot, hunkering down and sitting cross legged without even saying a single work. He lightly knocked away Felicity's tail. "If you want to go read, I can handle watch on my own," he said. He knew she'd seize on anger, so he was responding with something close to indifference by now. "Got a job to do. Here to do it. Spoiled tieflings might get in the way there." He looked to her with zero indication her charms were working on him. "Plenty can bug a group during any time. Not risking anyone's safety for that. "Gnolls ain't smart. So you never know. Usually."

At mention of Luc though, he threw her a look. "Leave him alone. Haven't you caused him enough trouble for one day?" He asked, his flint-colored eyes narrowing sharply. "You have any regard for any other people beyond what they can do for you? At all?" He didn't look thrilled at the prospect of being stuck with her now. "Is all you think about's yourself and what you get out of it? I'm still finding to work out a way how I can talk to Nia, Tawny wants to kick my ass, my best friend's trying to keep it together after making an idiot of himself in front of Tawny, your warlock friend deals with her issues by being abusive to fuckin' everyone around her even when theyre trying to help and literally all you're worried about is..." He trailed off with a shake of his head.

"Forget it," he growled softly. "Getting angry'll just excited you more."

Boo, he didn't want to play. Spoil-sport. He obviously thought he whole spoiled tiefling thing would get to her. Felicity has passed the point where she cared about stuff like that; she'd already been pretty easygoing in that regard before Zafah's fuck you and everyone around you had rubbed off on her. Sure, it stung a little, 'cuz it was kinda personal and digging deep and all, but she was just gonna let it roll off.

"No such thing as too much trouble,' she replied, shrugging her shoulders. The next bit had her rolling her eyes. Blah, blah, blah. Guy really was just zero fun at all. "Uh, if Tawny wants to kick your ass, it's not just because you're bein' a dick; she probably wants that dick a little an' that's how she flirts when she's not all," she ran her hands along her body, undulating. Then Felicity popped up, standing in front of him.

"An yeah, I like sex, duh. It feels good, better than I thought. So what?" she tapped him in the chest. "I jus' got my priorities in line. But doya really think I'd jus' be hangin' around with a group that calls themselves the 'Charitable Renegades' ta bone all the time?" She tilted her head. "Okay, yeah, that's kinda true; they're all super hot. Like, you have not even gotten to see naked Tawny," she bit her lip, doing a little shiver. But then she remembered she was making a point.

"Ya wanna know my origin story?" she asked point blank. "It's super cool, low drama stuff," she held the book up under his nose, "I read a lotta these, an' all the cool characters like, have sex all the time an' they steal from bad people an' fuck 'em over and give the money away an' stuff. So I was like 'that sounds cool, an' I really like the parts where the bandits get all tied up and get fucked and cream their pants only to escape 'cuz they're the heroes,' so bam," she tapped the book. "Here I am, doin' it. An' les' face it: I'm fuckin' awesome," she tapped her chest, "so awesome, that even when you're all grouchy, you're still kinda like 'I would so do her righ' now if I wasn't all,'" she ran her hands up and down around his body, wiggling fingers, "with feelings."

Felicity paused, trying to figure out if she had more to say. Pretty well felt like she'd summed it up nicely, really. No abandoned by mom and raised by monks or charged by god to prove blessings or abusive ex here. Just fun and living the dream.

It wasn't that Adrian didn't want to play with her but there were a number of other emotions at play. The day's events had kept him tense with everything and Felicity wasn't helping. Which mingled at the lust. Adrian kept his eyes right on hers, seeing she didn't care much. "Well, Tawny can keep her fucking hands to herself and off of me," he said. "Think I'm interested in being that terrible a friend to the guy who saved my life when this group got together?" He blinked just a bit and Felicity popped up in front of him. Took a lot there not to jerk back.

"Ain't nothing wrong with liking sex, Fels," he said. "Lot wrong when it's all you care about to the point you stop caring about people's feelings in general." He didn't rise to the bait about Tawny or the others. "Only one of you I've seen on charity so far's Nia and I've screwed that up already..." He looked aside, a twinge of guilt running over his face. "She's a sweet thing alright...didn't know she'd get so...serious, so involved in things offhand," he said quietly.

He took the book from Tawny, looking at it for a moment. "Yeah, read a share of them myself. Pretty good stuff," he admitted. "I'm not gonna give you a big dramatic speech on how bad I've had it, or anything like that, cause I haven't. I like my life, for the most part. I like having adventures, kicking ass and doing lots of other things. But the guys are my guys and we've been together through the good times and bad. You know what's turning me way off, though?" He gave the book back to her. "The fact you don't seem to give a fuck about other people or how they feel. On any level. Doesn't seem to bother you a damn sight that Nia's currently hurting, or Luc is, or anyone else. You want to fuck once I think it's safe? Then fine, if it makes you leave me the hell alone after it? Fine." He said with a wave of a green hand. "If it makes you happy, since that's all you seem to care about. Checking out and checking in on another box," he said in a cool tone. "That's everything I seem to amount to for you, so why not put the notch on your belt? Here, I've even got a nice little dagger you can steal after. Want the story behind it or would you prefer to think one up yourself?"

Yeah, good luck with convincing Tawny to keep her hands off him. Felicity was tempted to go more into that, but Adrian just wanted to continue being all pissy and upright and borderline self-righteous about the whole thing. Okay, yeah, sure, he had some points; she guessed. Felicity didn't see what the big deal was. Wasn't like she was setting out to hurt other people or anything.

Poor guy definitely had some thoughts wrapped up on poor Nia though. "Yeah, you kinda fucked that up by bein' a bit of a dick there, buddy," she said, shrugging. Happened, and they'd already covered the whole "Nia rushes in" bit. "An' I kinda missed the part where I had to care about what other people felt, beyond, y'know, the good bits. So think what-ev-er you want~" she giggled, tilting her head, "your buddies will still fuck me, an' I'm still gonna have friends, sooooo I win," she tapped her chest, bobbing her head.

"Oh, and by the way," she smiled sweetly up at him, "you fuckin' touch Nia? You're gonna have a hard time, boyo. I know you're all like 'oh ,it's Fel, she's cute an' bubbly an' a fuckin' airhead who don't care about her friends, but didcha notice how I was th' one not covered in gnoll piss? Yeah, I'm fuckin' good at what I do," she held up the dagger he'd mentioned, his own, giving it a toss and catching it. "Tha' bit about bein' th' hero thief? That ain't bullshit. You be a dick, I'ma stab you in yours," she bobbed her head, and with a hand motion, the dagger seemed to vanish. "Plus, y'know, I was, like," she rolled her eyes, "the only one of the 'gades who was still like 'oh, I should talk to him,' an' yeah, it's cuz you check boxes. Whoop-de-fuckin' doo: we all check boxes," she shrugged her shoulders. "Still up for talkin', but you're on thin ice wit' th' rest o' the crew, boyo."

She gave another just adorable giggle before pointing. "I'ma go stare aimlessly into the night' her eyes widened, "'jus' in case th' gnolls creep up.' She turned. "hey Nia, you got the wards all set, righ'?"

Were it up to Adrian and Nia wasn't a factor, the half-orc would've been having a serious talk about leaving the Renegades to their own decides. As far as he was concerned, they had set out to help on their own will, only to receive very little but humiliation, ingratitude and abuse from the other mercenaries at this point. But...Nia. This was riding on Nia, he thought. "Yeah, don't I know it..." Adrian's expression softened. "...I'm gonna talk to her about it...fix that screw up." He could've added something else, trying to think of what to say. "You don't have to care about what other people think. That's your choice...but that means they might think something more about ya in turn."

He couldn't refute that about the others. "Can't control what they do or what you do. Your friends care about you. I care about mine. And you wouldn't like if Nia got hurt, just like I don't like when mine get hurt. You could fix this...and Nia..." He shook his head quickly. "I'll fix it," he said. "I ain't hurting her a bit..." He HAD in fact, noticed Felicity's skill, with the youngest of the Renegades being a force to be reckoned with. "....You even worried about her feelings, trying to hit on me this way?" His tone changed, less hostile and more curious now. "Anyone not ever on thin ice with your crew?" He asked with a trace of sarcasm to it. "Not like we've taken anything but abuse from the lot of you at this point."

He didn't even mind the loss of a dagger, though he was holding a lot back from Felicity at this point. "Like I said. You want to fuck? Fine, let's do it."

Huh, she had to give him this, he sounded serious about trying to "fix it." But he was probably having a guy's way of thinking about fixing things. Like, fuck, he was all like "oh there's problems and shit." Like his crew wasn't hiding a werewolf and whatever was going on with Aelius and shit. Felicity might not have been paying that much attention to the non-sexy bits, but she'd picked up bits and pieces. Enough.

The last bit though ,about the crew, stung. "Oh yeah, 'cuz you guys are doin' jus' fine," she rolled her yes. "Aelius ain't on thin ice near as I can tell, and while me an' Zaf are prolly gonna keep an eye on Luc, we got nothing on him either," she crinkled her brow. "was there ever a thing with Varrik? I know we're cool," she giggled, sighing, "more than actually. Ugh," she ran her hands over her face. "You guys are like, bringin' up all this drama. Gah, I thought that was a girl thing," she huffed, folding her arms.

There was the offer to fuck. Felicity was seriously tempted to take it. She was pretty sure Nia wouldn't care, but, well, it was sometimes hard to tell when Nia actually didn't care and when she was being sweet, gentle, innocent Nia. "Y'know what? Nah," she shook her head, 'hard pass. Like, not really that interested in a guy who's all like 'you're a terrible person, while I, the guy who almost made Nia cry this morning, am fuckin' absolutely perfect an' shit rainbows.' I got better stuff to do... better people too," she flicked her tail at him, almost scampering off to find Nia and finish looking for those wards and stuff. She could take watch without actually hanging around Adrian, which seemed the best option.

Though as she skipped away from Nia, singing out her little song, she felt her eyes getting a little wet, and she wiped at them a bit with the back of her hand.

Adrian's lips pursed grimly. The half-orc was not enjoying Felicity's company one bit now. Being reminded of Nia and how poorly he'd handled that had not helped his mood, especially with his guilt on that. But Felicity's near sociopathic disregard for the feelings of others was not helping, let alone her belief in all this as a fun story, as if he and his friends didn't matter. Adrian felt totally objectified by the Tiefling...hell, sometimes he liked that.

But not right now. He leaned in close. "You stay the hell away from Luc right now. You're the LAST person I want near him right now. Lemme tell you this, 'Chastity,'" he used the name deliberately. "We ain't always fine, you got me? We ain't anywhere near close all the time. But anything good that happens in your group? In this whole thing? Is happening in spite of you." He snarled it out, lifting up her book. "This make me the villain in your little book? Fine. But here's a lesson. People have fucking feelings that you can't just read out."

He looked relieved at the pass,, raising no further words at anything she said before Nia scampered away, leaving him alone to punch at the ground furiously. "Worst mistake of our fucking careers to do this. Fucking Luc, always trying to do the right fucking thing for people. Too fucking much..." he sucked in a deep breath, hearing the song, thinking to himself.... "...I didn't mean to hurt anyone..." he drew his legs up. "...Just....fuck me..."

"...Fuck. I'm terrible, too, ain't I?" He said to nobody in particular, feeling pent up, sick and angry with himself.

Around the camp, Aelius was simply cheerfully conducting a study of whose tail was better with himself and Tawny, Varrik was enjoying the night and...

"Felicity...?" Lucian's voice came from near her....his finely tuned nose having caught a trace of tears.

"...Are you alright?" Despite earlier, he sounded...concerned.

"Wazzat?" managed Felicity, hearing her name said from someone. She turned, nearly plowing into a chest before looking up. She'd make some inane comment about how guys were always tall, but she was a little on the short side for a girl. Like, she was the shortest Renegade. Nia just came off more fragile 'cuz the whole thin thing. But yeah, looking into a chest.

"Wha? Nah, I'm fine," she said, flicking her tail as she looked up. "Jus' realized I'm prolly gonna have to wait ta' do anythin' with yer sweet ass," she said with a giggle. Felicity looked back at the camp for a moment, lips pursing. "Hey, uh, like, sorry I hurt your feelin's earlier? Like, I'm not sorry I laughed, 'cuz no offense, but that was fuckin' hilarious," she snorted just thinking about it. "But, like, I didn't mean ta, y'know, mess things up or something. It was just... funny? Like, and awkward and stuff. Jus'..." she trailed off, hand raising then lowering. She actually did know how to apologize and all, but she really didn't see why she had to for laughing at something genuinely funny. Even now she felt her lips twitching thinking about it.

"Like, look, jus' cuz I laughed doesn't mean I don't think you're cool or a good person or whatevs. I'm sure Tawny or Zaf did the whole borin' talk, but it's... y'know, cool that you guys are doin' this, I guess," she let out a frustrated groan, looking toward the sky. "Ugggggh, this suuucks. I jus' wanna have fun an' fuck an' you guys are all up in feeeeelings!" She stomped her foot, nearly pouting, hands across her chest. "I skip these parts in the book."

And yes, she realized she'd just talked a lot, mostly at Luc, but, well, eh, she talked a lot. Weird habit for a thief, but there it was.

Luc wasn't exactly short himself, tall enough to stand over Felicity...and he knew he might as well have had nothing going for him beyond that at this point, but he'd walked over to see the Tiefling almost barrel into him suddenly. Her gaze was locked on his chest while he was staring down at the crop of midnight hair and little horns. Well, only one person fit that description right now... "Felicity..." he could still smell the salt, but...

"You sure?" He asked, looking down at her. It hadn't occurred to him her with Adrian would be a bad idea...but he knew his friend could sometimes be touchy. And evidently he'd touched something the Tiefling wasn't yet ready to talk about. But the next words...he glanced at her in surprise. "Did you just apologize..." Felicity's words were a bit of a sting there as he recalled earlier...but instead Luc took a breath in and exhaled, before he opened his eyes. And he smiled at Felicity, before...tickling her, hands on her sides as his fingers moved. "Now...we're...even, huh?" He asked before finishing and looking even a mix between relieved and melancholy.

"Nah...it's...it's not really your fault...I just...screwe up. I was more awkward than I should've been and...well. You know what they say about reputations, huh? Just takes a minute to destroy them and you don't get much a chance for...first impressions a second time." He looked like he was having a hard time, but trying to manage and make the best of it. "Hey...I didn't think you thought I wasn't," he added as he flicked a head for a spot to sit with the Tiefling. "I'm taking watch with Nia, but...well. Nia said I should probably keep distance from Tawny and that's...probably a good idea. Zafah, no idea what she thinks right now. But...hey, Nia's a good person, and...happy to help....you know, you DID just help yourself to HALF my group last night. You could consider THAT a triumph..." he grinned about her books.

"Saw the one you were reading earlier. Was always a favorite, too. Used to read it with my brother," he said. "...Always told me things would be fun, too."

Adrian was still sitting there, keeping a watch with his eyes narrowed, almost wishing SOEMTHING would try to invade the camp to bear it down.

"Sure I'm sure," replied the tiefling before launching into that whole quasi-apology/explanation/excuse making exercise. She barely held anything resembling sincerity toward the end, and lost it entirely when fingers went right over her sides, bursting into snorting giggles that were rather on the loud side, doing a little dance and moving away from him. She tried listening to his next bit, she really did, something about being awkward and stuff. Lots of... pausing... for thought... or something...

Giggles came right back at the book thing. "That musta been lots of fun durin' the scene where it was all, like, he rips her dress down an' jus' goes to down on her boobs," she let out another giggle, tail flicking. Hard to tell if she were lying or not. she gave a little stretch, trying to remember if she was actually on watch already or if she was supposed to wait. Seemed like there were a lot of people up for watches, but they also, like, didn't need this many watches or something.

Ugh. "Hey!" Felicity yelled, turning. "Aelius, the hell didja go? 'cuz I wanna fuck righ' now an' everybody says Luc is off limits!" She took a few more steps back to the camp, before turning, pointing to Luc, "You are still off limits, right?" She'd wait for responses before heading some where.

Most of the other Renegades were either already asleep (Tawny) or finishing up the last bits before they went to bed (Nia and Zafah; pre-bed hair brushing and smoke respectively). Not that pretty well anyone awake wouldn't have heard the tiefling; Felicity... was not quiet.

His failure to recapture Felicity's interest didn't hit Luc for the moment, but he had succeeded in recapturing her good mood, which made him happy for the moment. Despite feeling an actual misery at the moment from the rough day...even considering everything, Luc thought Felicity was, well...maybe a bit callow, but there was nothing malicious to it. She was nice enough, had a heart set on adventure and that seemed...important to her. After tickling her, he let her dance away, throwing her a grin and a wink at it.

"There...smiles. Good to see," he said. "....I was thinking more of the scene when they go at it in the dining hall with nobody else around, actually," he said, before looking up. "...I don't expect we're getting you back to watch, are we?" He shook his head. "Nope, figures..." He was half a mind to go speak with Adrian after this, but somehow felt it might not be altogether in good taste for his friend, gesturing at Chastity back to the camp...

When she screamed like a banshee. Lucian paused. "Wait, who said I was off limits?!" He said. Adrian, there was a limit between being protective and being a busybody! "I am NOT offlimits!" He saw Aelius lift an eyebrow and shook his head. "I'm not, I'm just saying!" He growled.

Aelius looked up with surprise. "...Is that a particularly good idea? I mean, I'm not opposed, but typically running off to have sex interferes with being on watch, which is rather important when in hostile territory-

"I am NOT off..." Luc protested again, Varrik sighing heavily.

"Can SOMEONE just go to Adrian so we get some damn sleep?!" he managed, Luc trying not to catch Zafah's gaze at the moment as well. "Evidently Felicity is not exactly watch material!"

The off-limits mention just had Felicity raising her brows, lowering her head slightly, a sort of "you know what I mean" sorta thing, waiting while he worked through that. That was pretty much exactly what Adrian had told her, or at least what Felicity had heard him say. There were bursts, and stuff, but she found Aelius.

Her eyes narrowed as he protested. She was tempted to try and go for Varrik, but after having just been loud about her preferences between the two of them (it was slight; she actually liked them both), she thought that might hurt yet more of these boys' feelings and she was actually trying to avoid that. She was horny and shallow, not mean. Oh, and they were going on about watch material, but "Fuck 'im, c'mon," she said, grabbing Aelius by the shirt and trying to drag him off into the bushes somewhere. At this point, she was pretty much beyond caring about being responsible.

"Fuck it," groused a voice that already sounded almost fried. Zafah flicked her last smoke into the night again, blowing out the air. "I've got it."

"Um, I could take two watches, I only---"

"Yeah, no. Go back to brushing your hair," said Zafah, before walking over to the center of the camp where Adrian sat. "I'll pull double. I'm not hurt, my spells come back after a nap, I'm good," she plopped down and looked out into the night, letting her eye adjust to the light, wishing she almost had night vision.

Nia looked like she wanted to argue, but also looked like she knew better than to protest when Zafah had her mind made up like this. She just sort of slunk back into the small tent they had for her to trance in peace, leaving the others two it.

Tawny, throughout, appeared to remain more or less sleeping.

Luc just looked confused at the 'off limits' stuff. Just genuinely surprised by it all...he got Adrian was looking out for him, but...and sighed heavily, rubbing his head, while Aelius felt that Felicity looked pretty bent on this. Aelius grinned nervously at that, very clearly wanting to, but...well, he had a rep to keep up, didn't he? "Oh, Zafah, welcome to join us!" He called playfully as Chastity grabbed his shirt. He was not being dragged, he was practically flying along with her. Luc was dong his best to ignore it.

"It's fine! I'll just cover your shift if we need to, so...have fun!" He said. Aelius grinned, following along with Felicity, along with a shug.

Luc looked over to Zafah in surprise. "You sure?" He asked the warlock in pure surprise. "...you still need rest- " he just stopped and had a sleep. "...Though...Aelius might be- "

"Erm, chief..." Varrik whispered. "...If Aelius is out, that leaves Tawny for next shift...and um...you just offered to cover his...look, maybe Adrian can pull double and, well...just wait for the one with Nia, boss?"

Adrian was now waiting as Zafah emerged up. "I can handle this myself," were the first words out of his mouth. Zafah was not someone he wanted to see particularly much either, though he was nowhere near as harsh as Tawny. "Make yourself comfy."

Good, something was going Felicity's way for once. She let out another giggle, turning and popping up to give Aelius a quick peck on the lips. She made another mental note to try and do something with/to Varrik later, though she didn't think the half-elf would mind. He may even be able to coax Zafah to try... something? She didn't know, didn't care. She was already heading off just far enough to get out of sight, and hopefully a little out of earshot (though it was hard with Tawny, who usually could hear well, and Nia, with her elf ears). They would/could probably ignore it though.

"They could be quick," offered Zafah, shrugging. She settled herself in, ignoring the handle this by himself macho bullshit. She didn't even really feel like responding to it, and she wasn't sure what to make of Adrian. Something had happened with him to fuck things up with Nia, but Zaf was betting that was all on Nia falling hard for guys that showed her affection or some shit. Girl needed a boyfriend, like a serious, actual boyfriend or some sort. Shame there was only maybe two wolves that would qualify at all. Double shame the girl had almost no attraction to other girls, or Zafah might at least try.

"Yeah, 'cuz this whole situation is comfortable," she said, over her shoulder. She could almost already feel the craving for a smoke or a drink or something, but she knew she had to at least hold out a bit. She couldn't be off during watch. She'd take a smoke break when Varrik popped up for his turn, let him be all sharp and shit for a little bit.

Her fingers twitched though, so she dug into her pocket, pulling a coin out. She started letting it flip about her fingers, moving from one to the next, slowly, methodically, a little motion to distract her while she stared into the night, finding herself wishing for not the first time she had two good eyes. Her depth perception was fucked. At least she could be quiet when she wanted, unlike Nia or Felicity, who sometimes got chatty when bored or nervous.

Aelis feeling Felicity's lips? Well, that was it. He pulled Felicity to him and kissed her ravenously, happy for an outlet for feeling and frustration alike. He kissed the blue tiefling, grabbing onto her horns and wrapping his tail around her leg. Pressing close to her, she would be able to feel the hardness of the ruby-colored length below, his grin widening. "Doing alright, Bluecherry...?" He teased. "We could make it even better

Adrian's clear cut irritation was obvious. He would have far preferred to be by himself right now, his mouth pursed as he considered everything. Maybe he'd gone in harder with Felicity than he needed to, but her disregard for feelings...frustrated him. But still, he could sense he might have gotten to her more than he might have realized. All while he was standing there with Zafah close by...and Nia...

He really wanted to apologize. Tell her he wasn't averse, honest. He just wanted to take it slow, not have her fling them into a relationship he wasn't sure they were ready for. Was that unfair of him? It wasn't fair to him OR Nia to just fall so hard after one night...

"Yeah. REAL blasted comfortable," he said angrily. "If it wasn't Nia and it wasn't Luc..." He was keeping his eyes on the trail, noticing the fidgeting slightly....and suddenly wanting Varrik to swap him out.

Frankly, of all of them? Zafah was pissing him off the most with her acid tongue and acerbic attitude to all of them and Adrian was all but done repressing how he was really feeling at this point and in no mood to be quiet. "So not my fucking day. Maybe you can cast Hideous Laughter, seemed to help last time."

It felt good to just open her mouth and kiss right now. Felicity just didn't get why they all weren't doing stuff like this. Too busy getting wrapped up in emotions and stuff, she supposed. Which were fun ,and she'd love to have someone sweep her off her feet or something. Oh well, she'd figure that out later, after this sexy curved dick tiefling and her had some fun. Oh, damn, and he was now pulling at her horns and keeping her locked into place, making her suddenly real glad that he had some height on her. There was something almost reflexive in having her had yanked back like this.

"Am now," she said, giggling. "So, this is gonna sound a bit weird, but could you, like, shove me against a tree and fuck my brains out!?" she let her voice go a little high at the end there, like the excitement had already started climbing. She reached down, working to pull out his cock with one hand and tug aside her shorts with another. Just kinda move the clothes to the side, have fun. Plus while she liked the tree idea (happened a lot in stories with forest bandits), she also didn't want bark digging into her plump ass, which would so happen if they took her pants off, like, at all. They could twist or something.

Oh great, this was a new, fun twist. Adrian was all angry and shit. And here Zafah was, unwilling to smoke and fuck herself up. "Oh, so you'd just abandon the area to growing gnolls an' shit? That's cool," she said, waving a hand a little, trying to keep focused. She'd been willing to shut up, but if he was gonna go be a dick about it. Super dick, apparently.

"Ya know, it kinda did. Your boy was goin' down hard, and not in the way that probably would've actually impressed Tawny, from what I heard," Zafah was actually out smoking at that point, if he'd recall, but they'd more or less caught her up on the details later. Plus, she could read tension well enough. She looked down at the flipping coin, watching it move along her fingers, taking a breath. Close the eye, look up, look out, steady herself. This watch shit was actually passing important, particularly out in the wild. There was always that wildass chance that the asshole just came strolling up and decided he wanted to be a dick again. Zafah took another breath, letting it out slowly as she sort of looked out into the distance once more, really honestly trying not to say anything more. It wasn't gonna Last: he wasn't done.

Aelius, after a rough day? The Tiefling had been reminded of a bad spot of trauma. Now, he was eager to kiss, hold Felicity and to do things. Much more, in fact. He was holding her, kissing her hard. Aelius liked kissing, in fact. He loved it, one of his favorite forms of intimacy imaginable. He grabbed at her horn, bending her head back, as he kissed her, teasing her ass with his tail.

And then she asked a question he knew the answer to. "I think I can manage." He said mildly before he pushed her back into the nearest tree as she worked the red shaft free. He was grinning, not even removing the shorts. The clothes were slipped to the side and he pushed her there, hard to get her against them, before he used his tail to slip away her own, adjusting her leg...and with one push, his hard cock was inside her.

And then he was thrusting with an almost furious and savage intensity, holding nothing back as he pushed. The air wasn't particularly cold out, but in her, it was burning hot. And his hand locked on her horn, holding her as he drove in almost possessively to her.

Adrian stiffened at Zafah there, sneering at the idea of 'growing gnolls.' Out of the way, Adrian thought. SOmeone else could've hired them after the failure of a battle, but Zafah had him on edge. Seriously on edge, in fact. "I saw it fucking happen, which is more than I can say for you," he threw back. "Wasn't even about impressing her. He had a bad day, shit went down. You know how I feel? One exception, you've all been nothing but fucking trouble to my friends. We offer to help, you treat everyone around you like shit, barely a fucking word out of your mouth that's not an insult or a threat. So if I'm dealing with it, I got something to say. We make your problems ours, we get nothing but abuse for it. Saw how you treated Aelius and Luc both earlier." Adrian was not aware of any apologies. "I don't even want your fucking gold at this point." He was working himself up...Adrian did NOT usually get angry, but this was hard to stop.

"Not enough your little buddy just sees me as a goddamn box to check out of her story. Your boss only sees fit to laugh at our friend's face when he goes out of his way to help and she's under no fucking obligation to fuck anyone so don't even pull that shit with me, it ain't the argument I'm making. None of you but Nia seem to know the first fucking thing about treating people like people. So I feel fucking done."

Fuck, even the tail thing. Did it feel that good when she used her tail on someone? Felicity was half tempted to try, working her tail over to flick at him, even giving his cute little ass a little spank, half encouragement, half "isn't this naughty" sort of expression. Did not bother her that she liked the whole little spanking thing. Why not be a bad girl? They had way more fun.

A shift, a tree digging into her back, feeling all weirdly textured and shit. Then her clothes, his clothes, hands moving around a bit. Her tail wrapped around the base of his of his tail, using it to help aim and guide the cock right to her already aching slit. The sheer memory of him had brought that twisting want back to Felicity's lower belly. Having him just roll with it, take her lips, grab her by the horns and do this? She was already close to melting over him, body shivering. Still she angled, helping to get that dick right into the perfect position.

"I wanna feel you in bad me so fuckin' bad right now," she gasped, before letting out a happy little noise as he fulfilled their mutual wish. Her body rolled, and she reached up, grabbing onto him, counting on his strength to at least push her against the tree, maybe keep her upright. She knew she had some heft, but her legs were already starting to move to hook around him, pushing him further inside her. Gravity helped, sinking her sex onto him. Walls closed, teased, pulled, remembered the shape of him as he slid up. "Fuck, yes," she breathed, feeling him pull. Her hands grasped onto him, body curling, bracing, taking him as he just fucked her into that tree, bark already starting to fall down around her, bits of it scraping against that bared expanse of skin (she'd have to ask Nia to heal her later).

He was still going on, now unloading, doing this whole 'you all are terrible' act. Zafah let out a dark chuckle at that, shaking her head, blood red bang dangling lower. She kept her attention out, despite his whole little soap box spiel. Went on about checklists, like he hadn't known that about Felicity from the fucking start. And from what Zafah had heard, Tawny had let out one laugh, obviously more at Felicity's antics, which were nearly impossible to ignore.

"Oh, shit man, am I supposed to be blown away by your insight? I already know I'm a garbage person," she took a breath, before speaking in a language he'd likely only heard in nightmares, the tongue of devils and promises. He likely didn't know the words, wouldn't know it to be the promise that had dripped like venom in her ears: I will blossom that darkness within you to grant you the power you crave; as like draws to like, all you must do is answer to call; a contract exchanged and promised with our kiss. She sounded sexy when she said it, her voice dipping, the fry twisting it so it became apparent why her voice rasped, like this was the language she was supposed to know. But she was tempted to keep going, but she was pretty fucking sure that's what he wanted, and she had two watches to look forward to. Let him stew and wonder what the fuck she said and what was going on.

Her hand on Aelius's rear, descending good and hard made Aelius grin at the insolence of it before he got rougher with his kisses, even roughly biting her lip. His tail then slapped her ass. Once, twice, three, four and five times as he struck multiple times to get her good and hot before he continued.

My, it had been a while since he'd fucked against a tree in the woods, Aelius thought with delight. He was sliding a hand under her shirt, wanting to get a handful of a beautiful blue breast. He squeezed roughly, before pinching a hardening midnight blue nipple. He tugged at it quickly, twisting and pinching as he slid himself into her, angling just right.

"Thy wish...is granted," he said as he entered her. He pushed her upright on the tree, moving her legs up, and her tail for extra purchase. He pushed up, letting her sink down, then thrust back again, the little curve reaching up into intimate places for her. "Well, Bluecherry...this helping?" He asked softly as he thrust into her quickly..

Adrian realized he was falling on deaf ears, shaking his head with a disgusted grunt to nothing about it. "Oh, good. First truest thing you fucking said," he growled. He had no idea what she growled out, but he knew Infernal when he recognized it. He just watched with his blunt look. "You use that like a fucking shield," he said after a moment. "You say your'e a bad person, so you think you don't need to feel bad for acting like one. Self-fulfilling prophecy, isn't it?" He was almost wishing he had a smoke now.

"How Nia ended up with the three of you I have no idea."
