Comfort Games?

The 3D Legend of Zelda games in general are extremely comfy and nostalgic for me. Specifically, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are my biggest comfort games, but I also love Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, and Breath of the Wild. I go back and replay the games so that I can beat them again every year or two.

But also Stardew Valley. I have almost 500 hours in it and every time I start a new game I get sucked in for days, even weeks at a time. It's an ol' reliable, for sure.

Surprisingly, Hearts of Iron IV.

It's oddly calming playing a WW2 grand strategy game while watching Netflix at the side.

I would say Dragon Age Inquisition, the grandeur of it all, the characters and the setting is just something I can never get tired of, no matter how many times I play it.

Can confirm as a fellow Inquisition stan that despite its many pitfalls I also really enjoy watching the characters banter but especially listening to the tavern music (Sera Never.)

Thirded. :) I Always find myself going back to Dragon Age Inquisition - it's just such a complete, well-rounded game (especially with the DLCs).

Yes definitely! The Trespasser DLC is one of my favourite pieces of DLC ever!

I wouldn't say 'complete' but only due to things I personally find disappointing; I wish the Anchor for instance was much more tightly involved in the plot than it was, and that the Inquisition was a more reactive organization that the main character could tailor to their own preferences, but those aren't realistic desires to have given the production trouble the game had.

All of that being said I give the game kudos for including a character like Sera as a main character to act as a mouthpiece for the majority population of Thedas. She has her problems in the writing department and consistency (she says she's Anti-Circles but then gives opinion increase when you enslave the Mages... what?) but I thought it was a brave decision to include an ignorant-ass racist in the party and then have her go through some legitimate character development that sees her be willing to marry a Dalish Mage by the time Trespasser opens.
