She moved her head slowly, barely able to look up at the boy who had stopped before her, was he going to finish her off? She didn’t have the strength to run or fight, she’d let him do as he pleased. She stared with dull red eyes through her soaked hair, the albino girl just waiting for him to do something; she was alive, but just barely.

"What happened to you...?" He asked softly, expression almost pained, "Who hurt you like this...?" He moved closer to examine the wounds, looking like he was going to cry.

Wasn’t he going to kick her? Punch her, pull her hair or kill her? Why did he look so sad? She didn’t see any tags on him, so he had to be a normal, a sympathizer then?
“Nor...mals..” She barely got out, her jaw broken from being hit in the face with a metal pipe. Her own tag had been yanked off, tossed beside her in the trash: Rank D/0. How awful, beating such a weak young girl to such an extent.

He started to cry before moving to help her stand, pulling her arm over hos shoulder amd holding her around her waist.
"Just hang on, ok? Don't die!"

She didn’t understand, why was he doing this? Wasn’t it obvious she was going to die soon? She was tired, body heavy and cold, be it from the rain or her looming death she couldn’t be sure. “Dying... soon..” She managed out, but rested her head against his shoulder- he was so warm, it felt so nice.

He could hear her ragged breathing, eyes barely remaining open as he dragged her down the road using back alley ways, every so often feeling her go completely limp momentarily before trying to limp along again.

He managed to get her back to the estate and snuck her up to his room, laying her down on one of his blankets on the floor before getting his first aid.

She was soaked to the bone, her ragged clothes plastered to her frail body, shirt threadbare, and her torn pants in no better condition. She had a broken arm, given away by the massive swelling, and several deep lacerations across her body. The most blood was coming from her mouth, indicating she was suffering internal wounds. The girl looked about his own age, her light red eyes still staring up at him, still holding some life behind thick white eyelashes.

He did all that he could, even going to the in home doctor's office to steal everything he remembered him using on the Twilights in Shingen's employ if they were messed up as badly.

She laid still for him as he worked, no matter what he did, sometimes struggling to keep her eyes open and herself awake. Sometimes he would catch her watching him, and he wasn’t sure if she wasn’t speaking because of her broken jaw, or because she didn’t want to. He was a bit intimidating, looking somewhat similar to herself, his eyes intense, but she couldn’t stop thinking of how he cried over her wounds.

He did everything he could for her, every medicle trick he remembered seeing the doctor do, he tried to imitate. He wasn't going to let her die. He couldn't explain it; she was like him once, alone and scared and near death. Until Shingen found him and gave him a second chance. She would get that same opportunity.

Her broken arm could be set, but her jaw was a different story, that would need care from a real doctor. A few times he worried she had died from how still and quiet she had fallen, but she always opened her eyes for him when he called to her- if anything she was resilient. Once he had done all he could for her medically, she was nearly covered head to toe in bandages.

Was Takeda not a good person? Why did she have to be hidden away? It didn’t matter, this boy seemed nice enough, he had picked her out of the trash, so he must’ve seen something valuable in her. She gave the slightest of nods, all she could really manage in her sorry state.

He did his best for her while he kept her hidden. He asked the doctor to help her jaw and pleaded for him to keep quiet about the girl to Shingen. The doctor thought it odd, but obeyed.

Mitsunari found the girl to be rather obedient, even as her health improved, little by little, she did as he said; she stayed quiet, remained in his room, didn’t complain. Even when he asked her to remain under the bed to keep hidden, she didn’t complain. She ate whatever he brought her, always licking the dish clean when she finished no matter if it was simply some snack foods, or full meals. After the doctor operated on her jaw, she would be out of sorts on pain medications, sleeping often.

At least she would live. That's all that mattered to him. Yukimura was too busy with his Twilight, Sasuke, to really pay Mitsunari any mind; he was rather lonely. At least now he had a friend.

It was strange, that the girl didn’t seem to care much that for the majority of her day, she was hidden away out of sight, in fact, she only seemed to light up when Mitsunari returned to his room.

Her hair was a shaggy mess, falling just to her shoulders and almost completely covering her eyes; she had a bit of a cough, but other than that, she was nearly completely healed up. “Better, yeah..” She nodded, coughing behind her hand, sitting cross legged on the ground across from him.

He placed the remnants of his lunch in front of her; onigiri with a pickled plum, seared fish, and tomato halves with broccoli. Mitsunari never really ate a lot anyway.
"I'm glad.."

She never minded, eating his left overs, in fact, she was glad he was thinking of her. She dug in right away, eating in silence, her jaw only aching a bit as a reminder that it had been broken.

He watched her quietly before becoming alarmed when his door opened.
"Mitsunari, why did you r-" Shingen stopped when he saw Amaya and Mitsunari panicked.
"Don't send her away! She's a Tag! She was left to die, I had to help her!"

Amaya stopped mid bite, her eyes wide with fear as she stared back at Shingen. Should she attack? Should she run away? She froze, fists clenched tightly.
