Bet on Me [LocalFriendlyPsychopath x Degu]

"Powers out, it'll be on in the morning," he said as she moved past him, "Just... get some sleep," he said to her, "I'm gonna sit down here and watch stuff or be in my study," he said to her as she left. He let her go and get settled into his bed before he shut the door for her, letting her poor girl sleep. Maybe introductions could be made in the morning. Maybe things could be different between the two if he just... kept it in his pants.

He moved to the couch and laid out on it, flipping through some of the channels as he took a blanket out stretched it over himself. Christmas movie. Christmas movie. Generic holiday movie... eventually he ended up where he usually did. Watching porn. Not for his own pleasure. He could feed off it. It was like... stale popcorn. Some of that energy was there, some of the work was put in and he could taste a little bit of it, enough to maybe help him.

Eventually he passed out as well, and soon the porn ended, flipping instead too infomercials selling all sorts of stupid and semi-useless gadgets to those with little sense and too much money.

Rolling over when morning came, it was evident that the power was back on, and she yawned loudly, and then froze. Whose bed was she in? A quick sniff told her exactly whose it was, and she rolled over and hit the floor with a thud and a shriek. It wasn't a dream, she'd been won at the casino and sent home with someone, even fed properly. Pushing herself to her feet, she thundered down the stairs and skidded to a stop in the living room. He was there, laid out on the couch with the television still on.

"Holy shit." Looking between him and the stairs, she debated briefly whether or not to bolt back to the bedroom. There seemed to be no point, so she settled for skirting widely around the couch to pick up the glass she'd left and deposit it in the kitchen sink. Her hands gripped the counter as she leaned forward, sifting through the different thoughts and emotions in her head. There were so many of them, and she struggled to work through them with some semblance of coherency

He stirred at her comment of holy shit, slowly sitting up right as he rubbed the sleep from his eyes. He stretched with one arm behind his back and the other lifted into the air as he noticed her, "Good morning,' he muttered before shivering. He sighed and picked up his phone, cursing before shuffling over to the wall. Now that there was plenty of light flooding in through the glass that made up one half of the house, she could see what was wrong with his pants from the previous night. They were... far to revealing. He didn't seem to notice as he made his way to the wall unit and tapped it a few times before cursing, "Heatings still out," he muttered before making his way into the kitchen and starting the coffee maker.

He moved past her quietly and grumbled as he pulled out a coffee cup for himself and a second for her. He paused a moment looking over at her before letting out an annoyed grumble and pushing her aside slightly as he pulled out a knife. He started to undo the bindings on his hand when the coffee maker beeped, and he moved to start it properly, putting in the grounds and everything else. He moved once more to the fridge and pulled out eggs and a package of bacon before pausing, "Right... blood," he said to her, "How much you need?" he asked her softly.

"Morning." She managed the word even as she jumped in the kitchen, turning when she heard hit footsteps approaching. Due to their height difference her eyes went straight to his waist, and she blinked before taking a step back. Oh. That was not something she'd expected to see first thing in the morning. There was an obvious imprint in the front of his pants, and she tore her eyes away before stepping back again. "There's still no heat?" Either she was going to be living inside of a blanket all day, or hoping the storm had died down enough to get her some clothes and essential hygiene products.

"I just had some last night." She gave him a strange look. "It doesn't start to actually hurt for a couple of days or more, you don't need to cut yourself again." She was starting to feel a bit guilty for that, considering that despite how she'd cowered and threatened him, he had still made sure she was fed and given a warm bed to sleep in. "I won't die if I don't have it every day, I can wait until you--we can go out. I can handle uncomfortable and tired if it comes to that."

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow before sighing, "Alright," he said as he put the mug over by the coffee maker, "Coffee?" he said as he got a pan out of a cupboard and started making up some eggs and bacon, "And... eggs and bacon. I'm not great at cooking so the best you're gonna get is scrambled," he said to her softly as he got some things going. He idly went to his phone a few times while flipping through things before sighing again, "As for going out... doesn't look like it. Four inches out there... I think we could tough it out, but I'd rather stay home and safe,' he said to her.

He paused a moment before looking at the pan then at her, "Watch this for a minute, just stir it if you have too," he said to her. He went up stairs and rummaged around for a bit before coming back down with a longsleeved shirt and another pair of sweatpants. HE put them on the counter and nodded ,"Bathrooms on the left, across from the couch," he said to her, "And... yes, I have a massive window in my shower, I don't really mind people looking at me... but... it is frosted from the outside in, so you can see out, but they can't see in, so don't... freak out if you wanna take a shower.. I like looking down at everything... even if all you can see is white today," he said.

"Uh, sure." Her stomach grumbled quietly at the sight of food in the pan, her tongue darting out to wet her lips before she could stop herself. "That's alright. It's real food, so I can't exactly complain." Watching him go through his phone, she frowned upon realizing they had to stay inside. Of course her luck was that she would be snowed in with only the stairs to separate them should she want to be far, far away from him. "Fuck." Cursing under her breath, she barely nodded in acknowledgment as she kept an eye on the pan, stirring it a couple of times until he came back downstairs. The clothes he presented were going to be huge on her, but it would keep her warmer than the dress while the heat was out. It was either that, live wrapped in blankets, or cozy up to the demon whose dick she could see clearly through his pants.

"I would like a shower after food, yes. I smell like.. Many people, from last night. Too many." It was almost a relief the way that his scent covered most of it up, but she still felt absolutely filthy. "I feel gross." Taking the clothes and disappearing to the bathroom, she stripped the dress off and hastily changed. Just as she'd thought, they were far too large on her, but she managed to tie the pants in a way they weren't completely falling off of her. "Thank you." Coming back out and skirting around him, she managed to find the trash and stuff the dress deep down in it. "I don't want to see that ever again."

He paused and looked at her, raising an eyebrow, "I mean, I'm not gonna stop you but you know that was a knock off of a very expensive dress right? A lot of women would die for that thing," he said before looking at her, 'Oh of course I know about fashion, its my job and my business,' he said to her as he shook his head, "Don't judge... and don't assume I'm gay because of it either. I'm gettin' real tired of that," he said before plating the first pan for her.

After that he cooked up another plate for himself letting her eat alone and only answering questions she might have, not wanting to push her any further with stupid comments or who knew what else. He watched her a bit, pausing for a moment as he glanced down at his own clothing and hesitated, "I just realized that my pants might not be.... uh, entirely appropriate..." he said to her, "I have to admit, I'm not used to company like this... hell in the summer I usually turn off the heat and sit around..." he paused, "Too much information, huh? I'm sorry, not used to having folks around who aren't... used to me..." he said.

"I don't care. It reeks and nothing could ever erase what I had to do in that thing." It wasn't as if she had paid for it, although she made a mental note to be polite and make sure he didn't spend a ridiculous amount of money on the clothes and products she would need. "I wasn't going to assume you were gay, after that comment you made last night." That had been obvious enough on its own. After having her plate and coffee, she picked at the food before glancing at him.

"I noticed." Choosing not to say anything more on the matter, she took a sip of coffee and another bite of food. "You're much taller than me, it was impossible not to. I just chose not to freak out, since it wasn't out of your pants and you weren't touching me." Shrugging, she wasn't the least bit surprised to hear about his summer time preferences. "I would prefer you not sit around naked while I'm here. Or at least tell me so I can hide in another room."

He scoffed, "I won't be walking around naked with someone else here, unless they ask me too," he said, "I'm not sure you've noticed, but I ask for consent before doing much of anything... except for putting you on the couch where you wouldn't freeze to death last night, and I apologize," he said to her. He looked at her curiously, "You look better today you know, more color in your cheeks and all that, and you're less...skittish and nervous... I guess getting food and blood in you worked... " he said, "If you need anything just tell me, its not like I can't bleed... Demon after all... though I'm not sure how that blood might affect you... I've heard its richer, my co-worker who you met last night refuses to drink demon blood most of the time," he said.

He settled into the couch with his plate as he flipped through till he landed on a christmas movie and sighed ,"God I hate this time of year," he mumbled before simply going ahead with eating his food. He picked at it for a bit before standing and getting coffee, turning to look at her with an arched brow, "Yes no? I have creamer and sugar," he said to her.

"Yeah, I noticed." Putting her pride aside to agree with the obvious, she went back to eating her food quickly. It was more habit than anything to eat before it could be taken away, and she raised her head to look at him. "I'm tired, and you're not touching me. I can be polite until the shock wears off." Or what she assumed was such. "I was starving. It's easier to control someone when they can only function with the strength of a human, and nothing more. Not that I could have done anything without being in excruciating pain. The trials made sure of that, so I can't attack you without hurting myself." Why was she giving him important information like that? Internally cursing herself, she tilted her head curiously.

"I had your blood last night," She pointed out. "Not a ton, but it made me feel warm. It might have helped me sleep, but that also could have just been exhaustion. It was a very long day and night." Raising her own mug, she shook her head. "I've already drank half of it, there's really no point." Next time she would try it with sweetener, it had been so long since she'd had sweet coffee. Finishing up, she put her dishes in the sink, venturing out and curling up in the corner of the couch. "You can sit, if you want." She cursed out loud, rubbing at her face. "I mean, of course you can, it's your home. I mean I won't push you off the couch as long as you don't end up nudging at me or anything."

He laughed at how brazen she had gotten. A smile was growing on his face and eventually he just laughed once she told him he could sit on his own couch, "Sweetie I can do whatever the fuck I want, I'm glad you realize this or we MIGHT have had a problem," he said to her, "Listen, I'm not one for holiday cheer and all that, but you are the best thing to have happened to me during this shitty month in... decades," he said to her, "Its nice to at least have someone around to talk too... someone who isn't slobbering all over me," he said with a grunt.

He sighed as he cleaned the dishes and loaded up the washer before returning to the sofa, taking his spot on the end of it as he glanced at her, "I'm not gonna touch you or do anything without your permission, remember? But... I might get drunk later. Not to say I'll get handsy, but I might get annoying and ask the same five questions over and over and over," he said to her, "You're welcome to drink too but I have a feeling you won't want too..." he said, "You don't seem... the type to drink with someone you just met," he said. He let out a soft sigh, "Uh, I will need the TV as well as its going to be a video call with that woman we met yesterday, the one who helped me snag you...' he said.

"Don't call me sweetie." Pet names were something she had grown to hate, and she resisted the urge to roll her eyes at him. "Holiday?" Was it almost a holiday? Keeping track of time had become difficult for her, and she couldn't have even told him what the date was, let alone how close to any holidays it was. "Rest assured, I have no intention of slobbering all over you. The most you might get at some point is me biting you if I get desperate enough due to us being snowed in. And then you'd better be prepared for me to run and hide for several hours." The thought of essentially cozying up to sink her teeth into him was both frightening and strange all at once.

"I haven't drank in a long time. I don't even know what I would be like. I don't know what the tolerance of a demon is, let alone one that was.. A human before." She shifted uncomfortably on the couch, turning her attention to the screen. "You need it tonight?" It was obvious who he was talking about, and while she had a bit of an internal nudge to thank the woman, she wasn't sure if she could muster the courage. "Maybe I'll say thank you to her. Unless I'm not allowed to be around for that."

The man shook his head, "We usually do calls and shoot the shit. Its the only way we talk to anyone. And I gotta curse her out for dragging me to the whole... event last night. Half wishing I hadn't had gone at all but... eh," he said to her, "Its not like nothing good came out of it," he said with a smile towards her, "And yeah, holiday... Christmas is coming up, horray..." he said, wincing as he even said the word, "I really do hate the whole holiday... everything about it, and not just because I'm a demon," he said to her, "I've never really cared for all the bullshit around it," he said.

He sighed, "Honestly, she might be too busy with her new friend to do our weekly ritual, meaning I might be watching our show and drinking alone," he said to her with a sigh, "Not that its that bad, again, kinda used to it around this time of year," he said before pausing, "Shit... do you have family or something? Anyone you can call and let know you're okay? I know... I said I'd call the groups and what not today, try to get you home, and I will, but I dunno if you wanna make a call to anyone first," he said to her nervously.

"I suppose that's fair." The way he kept referring to her as a good thing was still sitting oddly with her, but she made no effort to contradict him. "It's.. Almost Christmas." She straightened up before settling down, shoulders sagging as she shook her head. "No. Everyone is long gone, it's probably why it made me easy to take and put through trials." Her ear twitched irritably, but she didn't curse or scream over it. "There is no home to go to, so there's not really a point, I suppose. Any home on my own would just put me straight back to where I was, being thrown between men all night long. I don't exactly.. Want to do that again." She gave him a slightly pained smile.

"So maybe watching something and drinking sounds nice. I just might do it several feet away." How long had it even been since they'd taken her? Time had become virtually nonexistent once the trials started, so she had no way of knowing. "I can stay here, if you want me to." Feeling as nervous as he appeared, she fidgeted with the bottom of the shirt she was wearing. "I'll try not to get violent with you, but I can't help being scared."

His own smile disappeared when she said being thrown between men, "They never... you know... they told me you were unspoiled or what the fuck ever but you weren't..." he paused, "If you want to go into witness protection and fight these bastards we can do that. Can't think of a better way to spend my money than putting fuckers like them out of business, but it'll make you a target, and I'd hate to see anything happen to you after you've gained... well, what little freedom you have," he said before he paused, "Speaking of, we should probably see if you have a chip in you... like they put in dogs so they don't get lost... I know it might be demeaning but... better to remove it, right?" he said.

He sighed as he looked at the TV again, "I know its not the best but for what its worth, I'm really REALLY sorry that all this happened to you. And I wish, I sincerely WISH there was anything I could do to spare you this pain and suffering," he said softly, "Because you deserve, more," he said to her, "You honestly do... after all you've put through, you should feel safe and comfortable and... I don't wanna say loved, because that might come off as a bit possessive but... you know," he said.

"Unspoiled?" Her eyebrows shot up before she began to laugh, just quietly at first before it turned into full blown laughter. "Did they mean a-- No, no I'm not a virgin. Why the fuck did they--Because it made for better publicity if people thought they had virgins for sale." Her tone was flat, and she shook her head. "I don't want to ever see them again." There was a hint of misery to her voice, her head turning slightly at the mention of a chip. "I don't know if they put one in me, there's a lot I either don't remember, or just tuned out. If there's a way to check, I won't fight you on that." Not if it kept them from knowing where she was at all the time.

"I.." She hesitated, scratching behind her ear as it twitched again. "Thank you." Shaking her head at the mention of love, she let out another laugh. "I have no want, nor need for love. I can't say I particularly believe in it anymore. Safe? It's a possibility that someday I might feel that way, but love? I don't foresee that, short of a miracle occurring."

The incubus laughed, "I live off the stuff, literally, so I have to at least hope for it, right?" He said to her, "Love... you know... lust... they're so connected now a days... I uh...' he paused, before shaking his head. He had to skip past that. Don't bother asking her about the man or men who did it... even if it would make HIM feel better to at least know they suffered. He looked at the TV, staring at it for a bit, "Well, you're welcome to stay here as long as you like or we can hook you up with your own place some where once all the craziness ends,' He said, "Might even be able to get you a job working for me or my company... not sure what to do with your... uh, genetic dispositions though," he said to her.

He paused ,"So I could do whatever and you couldn't fight back? The hell kind of... I mean I guess that makes sense why they'd do it... in a horrible way at least," he said, "But I don't see how..." he paused, "Not to sound... awful, but half the fun of it is from... fighting back..." he said, "I like a little play fighting when I'm with someone for a while... so I mean... if they couldn't even do it back I don't..." he paused and sighed, "I'm sorry, I sound... fucking awful right now. But I'm being honest when I say I can't help it.. incubi... its kinda.. in my blood so to speak," he told her.

"I guess that's a fair statement." They did seem to be connected, but it hadn't been on her mind for a long, long time. "I'm not sure the craziness will ever end." Sighing heavily, she ran a hand back through her hair and huffed quietly. "A job, though?" Giving him a sideways glance, she licked her lips before shrugging. "I don't know if I'd be allowed to work anywhere. It's clear to most people what I am, or anyone that has a brain at all, anyway." She paused, parting her lips to speak again before she went rigid. Lost for words for several seconds, she finally shook her head and looked away.

"I could, but it would be very painful. I don't know how to explain it, because it varies. It could be a quick pain that fades away in seconds, or it could be so excruciating it puts me on the floor. I kind of stopped after awhile, it was just easier not to fight, I guess?" Play fighting? She vaguely remembered things like that from when she still socialized with humans. "It's fine. I can't change what's happened. So," Changing the subject abruptly as she shifted uncomfortably again, she looked around the room in an attempt to distract herself. "Since we're stuck here, what do you want to do before your potential call later?"

He thanked whatever powers that were for her changing the subject for him as he relaxed in his seat, "Uh... what do you mean what do we do?" he asked her, "This is what I do, I mean, this is normal for me," he said, "If I don't have work, which, I don't really have too since I can't get into the office and my computer doesn't have INTERNET right now," he said, "But... if I can't work... this is what I do. I sit here. I watch TV," he said to her.

He paused, "Sometimes I play games, I have a... game console somewhere. I just don't really do much with it, mostly used it for streaming movies and things, and since the net's out I'm sure I can't get any of that," he said. He sighed, "Just be glad the weather hasn't knocked out hte dish on the roof or we'd only have static," he said to her, "I hvae books but I doubt they'd interest you, most of my books have to do with...feeding myself, for lack of a better term," he said, "And... I cook, I clean... I sleep... I dunno, I just exist unless I'm working or have purpose," he said as he leaned back and sighed. Was he REALLY that boring?

"I don't know what to do with free time, given the choice." She looked at him like he'd grown a second head. "I can see you like watching TV, but I don't know what else there is anymore. I don't know what people do these days, that they can do within their own homes. I don't especially what to go out, even if we could." Her ears went back momentarily, knowing that eventually they would have to for clothes and such.

"Sex books." She nodded in understanding. I wouldn't mind a bit more sleep, to be honest," Glancing towards the stairs, she looked back to him. "I haven't slept that well in a long time, and it was really nice to do after having a proper, ahem, meal." Looking a bit sheepish, she waved a hand towards the TV. "You can play whatever if that's all you want to do, I'll watch whatever. Just leave me be if I fall asleep, and we can worry about alcohol tonight." Did she really want to sleep part of the day away? Hell yes, but would it be a wise decision?

The man shrugged as he glanced at her, "I dunno," he said to her before hesitating, "Blood, proper meal of blood, and again you can have as much as you want, and you don't have to BITE me if you don't want too, not that I'd complain if you'd rather have it straight from the tap, so to speak," he said to her, "Don't worry too much about that... and when it comes to TV.... EVERYTHING is terrible this time of year. No one plays anything but shitty holiday movies and I can't stand that shit," he said.

He paused, "I got some games and stuff... maybe a puzzle... we can throw something on and..." he hesitated, "You wanna stay away from me still... understandable I supose," he said to her, "Just... uhh... I guess I should just bugger off," he said to her, "Maybe I'll make something in the kitchen, do some cooking, oven might heat up the house nicely too..." he said as he looked over his shoulder, "I got some supplies for cooking," he said as he stood up and walked off leaving her on the Couch.

"I.." Maybe if she got drunk enough she would consider it, but she wasn't sure just how she would be drunk. For all she knew she would hide away, or the most frightening scenario, try to soak up warmth from him due to inebriation. Regardless of the outcome, it could be dealt with when night came. "Nothing but holiday movies?" She wrinkled her nose, vaguely remembering it had been that way before, as well.

"I just.." She struggled for words as he disappeared, letting out a frustrated growl. "I just don't want to be touched." Being in the same room as him was bearable despite her fear, so long as there was a good amount of distance between them. How could she possibly explain that she didn't want to be the way that she was, but that she couldn't help it. "I'll just stay here then, and let you do whatever you're going to do." Stretching out on the couch with another noise of frustration, she stared somewhat blankly at the screen. At the very least she could use the sounds as a distraction, right? Her eyes closed as she took in a slow, steady breath, listening to both the TV and him moving around in the other room. "I'm sorry," She finally offered.

He shrugged, "No reason to apologize to me, I get it, I have times where I don't want to be touched... I've been around longer than I care to admit and I've been at the hands of people who weren't exactly nice... nothing like what you went through but... I can at least... guess, how bad it could have gotten," he said to her, "So wait... what was the year you got... abducted? I'm curious now... if you don't mind me asking. YOu seem to act like you've been gone for years but... most don't last that long..." he said softly, "Also I hope you don't mind... uh, sugar cookies. I don't have anything else," he said to her.

He started mixing and cooking, turning on some music on his phone as he all but forgot she was even there. Like he said, he needed tasks to do. It only took a half hour before he had finished his first batch and they were cooling, leaving him with, once more nothing to do. He moved back to the sofa and settled down on the other side and glanced over at her, to see if she was asleep, "I'm not sure but I think I have some... like... cards or something, if you wanna play a few card games... I know I have a puzzle somewhere upstairs someone gave me... but it is, uh, lewd," he said.

People that weren't nice? That caught her attention, although his question made her pause and frown. "I.. Don't know? It's probably not been as long as my mind thinks it has. It felt like forever." She shrugged. "Maybe a year or two? The trials can take awhile, depending what all they want to do, then of course there's the training, and depending how well the subject does, or doesn't obey, it can last awhile." What year had it been? "What year are we in now, 20? I think two years, give or take a few months. It was winter then, too." Sugar cookies? She stared at him like he'd told her the world was ending, but managed a small nod. "Alright." If anyone had ever said she would be watching an enormous demon bake sugar cookies, she would have laughed in their face until she lost her breath. Yet there she was, with this beast of a man making cookies in his kitchen.

"Hm?" It hadn't been terribly long since he'd left the room, and she had stayed curled up dozing off. "Of course half of the things here are lewd." Rubbing at her eyes tiredly, she ran through the different options. There really weren't many at that point. "I would be fine with any, but I think I'd like to take a shower first." Even though that meant ditching certain items of clothing she had no replacements for. "We can get, uh, women's clothing, when the storm lets up?" Her cheeks heated up as she left the couch, already making her way to the bathroom before pausing. "If it's not too much trouble, I mean."

The man grunted, "Half the things are... come on, that's outrageous," He said to her, "Just because the bed has a massage setting," He said as he crossed his arms, "I just... " he paused as hse mentioned about getting clothing. He thought for a minute before smiling, "Do you one better, hopefully this will all fit," he said to her as he went upstairs again. HE came back down with a small suit case and pushed it too her, "Uhh... its work stuff," he said, "Okay so yeah, I keep the prototypes... I used to have girls model them for me," he said, "But at least its... clean. And there are a few other clothes in there... if not I can get you another pair of sweatpants and what not until we can go get you clothes, yeah?" he said.

With that said he put his feet up on a coffee table as he relaxed again, "Don't you worry too much about it," he said softly, "You wear whatever the fuck you can, and I know its probably annoying to be stuck inside with a busy body ass hat like me so... you know... take your ti..." he paused, "Oh shit, uh... .water might take a while to heat up? You might wanna start it before settling down and waiting," he said to her, "With how cold it is hopefully we're fine..." he said.
