December 14th

“You're going home with a new owner, whether or not you like it, Anaya.” Growling even as she held still, a pointed ear twitched with irritation. Her own body and mind would not allow her to fight back, despite how desperately she wanted to claw and bite her way out of the situation. A casino, she was being thrown into a casino as both an attraction, and in the hopes of someone paying to take her home for who knew what. Now put on your coat and let's go. You may keep it until we arrive.”

Remaining silent as she pulled on the black coat, she situated the thin strapped matching black dress they'd forced her into. It was almost skin tight, barely mid thigh and paired with a set of heels to accentuate her legs and make her more appealing to everyone that saw her. The only upside was that the way to the car had been shoveled so her exposed feet weren't immediately soaked and freezing from the snow, and she was shoved into the vehicle before they started off to the casino.

Silence.

Not a word was spoken until they arrived, her coat taken the instant they entered and heads turned to stare. Her ears twitched at the sheer volume of the place, the smells added on nearly making it unbearable. Fangs sank into her lower lip as she forced herself along, trying to ignore the lecherous looks from the men surrounding her. She could push through this, it wasn't going to be much different than what she was used to. However, the first lap she was forced onto made her flinch.

One lap to another, hands roaming over her body without bothering to hide their intent. They coasted over her chest, squeezing and moving down her sides to settle on her bare thighs. Deep breaths were taken as she tried to tune it out, but stiffened up the moment a large hand slid under the dress to slowly drag its way up her inner thigh and towards her hips. All she could do now,was hope that wasn't the man that would take her home, and that whoever did wasn't going to be worse.

The man's hand was pulled out quickly, "No touching the goods till she's yours," a guard said, tugging her off the slovenly man's lap as he gave an annoyed grunt. She was pushed forward as more hands touched and grabbed, until eventually she was passed around and pushed into yet another lap.

The man grunted as she landed there, his arm going around her hip, not to grope her or feel her up, but to hold her steady as he looked at her quizzically, "Excuse me? Can... I help you miss?" he said.

"She's one of the prizes tonight, top three get there pick, the prize money, the man, or the girl," he said as he pointed to another like her, though male. He too was being passed around, between a mix of males and older females though he seemed to be more happy with his situation than her.

The white furred demon glanced back at the woman. He was wearing a dapper suit and his hair was pulled back and held in a pony tail. His eyes looked over her as his lip curled, "And this girl is... from the black market no?" he said as he shifted, making it so she could sit more comfortably on his lap.

The dealer nodded as he dealt out cards again. The man smiled at her, "Well my dear, I didn't really have much to try to win, but I think I might have taken a liking to you... a girl like you has no place here, you belong somewhere you can live the life you deserve," he said to her softly as he tugged on her hip possessively.

The next few hands went well for him till a guard came and grabbed her, tugging her off his lap as he glared, "No gettin' comfy, you got work to do, sell this shit, no hogging the product," he said.

The demonic man glared at the guard but his face softened, "Don't worry, you'll be going home with me, one way or another," he said to her softly, "Just think of this as the last trial before your new life," he said to her as she was dragged off.

------------------------------------------------------------

Hours went by, and people were whittled away, till the original mr.handsy, an older man, the suited male who had at least tried to be kind to her, and a vampiress were all that were left. She was forced to stand next to the other male, with most people loitering even after they had lost and a crowd who were waiting to see who was going to be crowned the winner. The final hand had been dealt out. The white demon, who's name was apparently known as simply "Eligor," by at least the female vampire. The two seemed to know each other nad bantered as they played, with him stealing glances in her direction before finally asking if he could have her sit in his lap again.

The other man, the groping slob, complained, saying it wasn't fair he would be able to touch his prize. This of course drew a smile from him as she was told to stand there and not do anything to either man. The cards continued till there were only three, with her supposed white knight in last. The last cards were turned, and the results were announced. First place? The female Vampire. Second? The bastard. Third? Eligor.

A glance between the other two as they were asked which prizes they would take would make her heart skip a beat. The vampiress walked up and played with the male a little, tapping his chin and giving him a kiss before walking to the girl and taking her, "This one," She said.

The other man snarled in rage. He was furious! "WHAT?! You've been all over the other one... this is a trick isn't It? I swear..." he began to say before calming down a bit, "Fine, I'll take the money," he said.

With that Eligor stepped up and took the man's hand and smiled, "Say Ezibella, how about a trade? My new prize for yours?" he said. The woman smiled and curseyed before taking the male's hand and gently pushing the girl towards Eligor, as the man behind him exploded into rage only to be silenced by a guard and dragged off as he threatened others. The man sighed, "Lady luck was with me but only half the night," he said to her softly, "But now that I have you, I think that might change,' he said as a smile tugged at his lips, "Shall we leave my dear?" he asked her softly.

Jumping and then sighed in relief as she was removed from the man's lap, Anaya was content to follow the guard along until she was pushed into another man's lap. Swallowing hard and preparing for another random grabbing, she was surprised when his hand remained on her hip rather than roam. That was.. New, and he seemed surprised by her random intrusion on his lap. Even then he moved in a way that she wasn't pressed awkwardly against bone or hard muscle, instead able to keep herself braced more on his shoulder than hanging off to the side.

The life she deserved? That made her heart rate increase, her ears pinned back against her head as he tugged at her. Of course it was too good to be true, but she sat in obedient silence as the game progressed. Then, before she knew it, she was being removed in order to pass her around once more. The last trial? Her head tilted curiously at the demon before she was drug away, head bowed as she was tossed carelessly into another lap.

Her luck seemed to be running out, one of the final contestants the man who had been caught with his hand far up her dress. The request from the other to place her back in his lap made her raise an eyebrow before dropping her head again, following orders and not moving from her spot. The last thing she wanted to do was get in trouble for moving too far from her designated spot.

The game ended and she froze, head snapping up in surprise as the woman took her instead, only to immediately trade her to the one demon who hadn't been handsy. Her eyes moved wildly around, the confusion evident on her face as she finally realized what had just happened. She'd officially been given to a new owner, and there was nothing she could do about it, but at least it was better than the other man. Or, at least she hoped it was. With no other choice, she nodded and moved to stand closer to his side. "Yes Sir."

Eligor put a hand on her chin and pulled her head to look up at him, as he stared back at her, "Hey now, come on, look at me when we talk, I'm not scary, and I'm not going to hurt you," he said to her softly, "None of that yes sir no sir shit either... you can just Call me Eli..." he said to her as he looked her over, "You're pretty for being on the market.. whats your name?" he asked.

The guard standing nearby grunted, "That there is Anaya, she's not been used for anything but this tourney and hasn't bee..." he was cut off, by a hand on his throat, his eyes wide as a few other guards stepped back and prepared weapons.

Eligor's eyes went from there kind blue to a bright red, "Did I ask YOU... what her name was? Or did I ask... THE... GIRL," he said angrily, "My patience is at an end right now, you promised me secrecy and I had at least SIX reporters asking me questions about my company. Not only that but we have more than a few police agents snooping around, "he growled, "I don't have illicit businesses, but I was around others who do, which means now things are going to be harder for ME to do MY JOB," he hissed as he glared at him, "Tell your boss this is the last time I show up to one of his events until you can COVER IT WELL, like he said," he hissed before removing his hand from the man's neck, the guards backing down.

He turned, straightening his hair before looking directly at her again, "I'm... so sorry you had to see that, I'm afraid sometimes one must be a bit more... hmm, forceful, when dealing with idiots," he said to her softly before pausing again. He hesitated, "Oh dear I really mucked up this introduction didn't I? I'm so sorry Miss Anaya..." he said to her softly, "Here... let me... uh... let me show you to my car," he said to her softly, looking both upset and furious still that she had seen his outburst.

Managing to keep herself from jumping when he lifted her head, she made certain to meet his eyes as not to look defiant. Not then, at least. He was frightening though, and as she opened her mouth to speak she was abruptly cut off by the guard speaking for her. She shrank back in surprise at the sudden act of violence, eyes flickering around to the drawn weapons as she debated the best way to stay out of their path. If she was taken away from her new owner and injured, there would be consequences for her. Then there were his eyes, the way they abruptly changed colors in his rage, and she stood there silently as he reamed out the other man before releasing him.

"Oh." He was apologizing to her? Surprised at the way this demon was acting, she merely nodded her head and made to follow along. Despite what might lay ahead, it was better than being tossed around between men there. She could smell it, so many different scents coating her skin that it made her wrinkle her nose. Even the cold air outside didn't help, although it took her breath away as a shudder shook her body. Without her coat, it was extremely cold, and out of habit she stayed close to him the entire way to the vehicle before getting in and sitting there awkwardly. What was she supposed to say, when he insisted that she called him by his actual name rather than something of more authority?

Once they were outside he paused a moment, taking off his suit coat and putting it on her, "Its not warm but I hope it'll do," he said to her. It didn't do much but stop the wind, but at least there was something. He lead her quickly and quietly to a waiting usher who had pulled his car up for them. He opened the passenger door and helped her inside. The seats were warm, and so was the interior. He got in quickly and slowly pulled out, "You're nervous. Upset... scared. It's normal, I know, but I swear to you... I came there tonight to have a fun night... when you were pushed in my lap... I... I felt awful. It'll make you feel better, we can find a charity that will take you in, but it will take some time. I want to make sure if I do hand you off to someone they'll make sure you get a normal life and aren't thrown back into this..." he said.

He sighed as they drove along in the snow and wind, "What kind of animal was that bastard? The way he stared at you and the things he said under his breath.. they tell me these events will be for upper class only and then we get men like HIM there," he hissed, "I'd be better off slumming it..." he grunted. He sighed and shook his head before turning to her again, "I'm sorry, I didn't... get much from you while we were there... you're...fangs... born with them or was that... something else?" he asked, alluding to the genetic trials that blackmarket slaves would sometimes go through to become more exotic and desirable.

Leaning against the window, she nodded slowly. Not that she believed him, but it was easier to just agree rather than start any type of argument. He had been rather surprised when she'd landed on his lap though, that much was true. The mention of a charity however, caused a look of utter confusion to form on her face. They had charities for people like her? A quiet huff of laughter left her mouth as he continued to refer to the less than polite man from before, shrugging her shoulders. She'd heard several of the comments from the man, but had chosen to ignore them the best she could, as was her order.

"I--" She froze, head snapping up and to the side to look at him. Her hands touched her fangs carefully, then moved to the pointed but not overly long ears. "No, not born with them. I don't know how long it's been, the first while of.. Trials was a bit of a blur. I don't know." Turning away again, she stared out the window and watched the world pass them by, small hands gripping the coat tighter around herself. "I apologize for the inconvenience of them not offering any belongings to send with me."

The man sighed, "Not your fault... and I don't blame you for any of this. You're just... lost and confused," he said to her softly, "I couldn't let you go home with that bastard though..." he said as a ring filled the car. A picture came up on the center console of the female from earlier, and he sighed, "One moment Alaya, sorry," he said.

"Your'e on speaker," he said to her.

She laughed, "My my I had so much FUN tonight sweetie... I know you did too. Hope you have fun with the new toy, but you did leave rather quickly... I have the paperwork for her. You might wanna put a collar on her before anyone comes around asking questions," she said as he let out a sigh. The vampiress laughed, "That being said, I think work can last without us for... stop that," she said, "I think work can continue as usual without us... we deserve a va....vaca..." she said as she was slowly cut off, "Oh my god, is yours just...crawling all over you? I forgot, you drive yourself so probably not, or at least I hope not," she asid before letting out a little moan, "I'm not coming in to work for a few days, and I don't expect you too either, bye," she said hurriedly before hanging up.

The demon looked a little shocked before letting out a sigh, "My gods, that woman, "he said softly, "Well, don't you... worry I suppose, I'm not going to be asking for that....service, though with those fangs... I'm guessing you haven't fed for a few days? I mean, real food... we can stop for fast food if you like, get you some... some blood packs, or you can drink from me, whichever you'd prefer," he said to her.

Nodding again, she jumped when the ring filled her ears. It was loud, and she was surprised to see a picture of the woman who had originally claimed her. Then there was a voice, laughing and giddy as she relived the events of the night. Toy. That's exactly what she was, what she had been made as when her humanity was stripped away. A sharp gasp left Anaya's mouth as she pieced together what was happening in the other vehicle, immediately stiffening up at the mention of a collar. That was the last thing she wanted. What did they do again, exactly? Her brain had been so focused on other things they she couldn't quite remember, and her nose twitched when the call ended.

She could barely resist the urge to smirk when she realized her fangs had saved her from some rather.. Unfortunate services, and she shook her head. "A little, to keep me functioning enough to attend, but not very much." The mention of blood made her perk up, but she immediately settled back into a neutral posture and expression. "Blood packs are fine!" Answering hastily, the thought of having to bite him sent panic spiking through her. "They'll work just fine."

He nodded at her, "And... for the rest of it? You still eat normal food yes?" he said to her as he pulled into a gas station. He opened the door and winced, "You uh... stay in here... just tell me what you want and I'll grab it all for you," he said. He waited for a response, taking her favorite type of blood and everything else before going inside. He was gone for ten or so minutes, leaving her in the running car. The trust he put in her was surprising it seemed. When he got back to the car he got in, shivering as he rubbed his arms, "Gods be DAMNED it is cold outside right now, might not wanna go into work either way," he said.

He passed her a bag holding some food, a few candy bars, an energy drink and the pack of blood for her. He looked over at her, "I don't mind you eating, but blood stains are hard to get out of a car..." he said, "So uh... if you don't mind, I'd rather you wait to drink for when we get home," he said to her. With that he drove off again, not saying much to her, just changing music from time to time and driving through the city to the downtown area.

They pulled into a large enclosed garage, and he helped her out of the car, keeping her close and letting her carry the bag. He moved her straight into a large building where a man at the front desk greeted the two, "Morning Sir. Powers been fluctuating. Elevators will still work if power goes out, but only for a half hour, so if we do lose power..' he said to him.

Eli nodded at him and gave him a smile, "Thank you, "he said as he paused, "But uh... with how my luck's been, I think maybe its best I take the stairs..." he said before turning to her, "Its thirty five floors, you wanna take the elevator up? And I'll meet you at the top?" he asked her.

"Yes, I still need food. That part never changed." Pausing as they reached the gas station, her brow creased as she tried to think. "I don't know. I drank whatever they gave me, I didn't really get to choose. I hear universal is good, though. I don't quite know about the food, either. Whatever you'd like to get." Shrugging her shoulders as he left the car, she sat there patiently until he returned. There was no point in running, not the way she was dressed, not in that cold. "Yes, cold." She agreed quickly with him, glad for the way the car had heated up enough to keep her from freezing in her current outfit.

"Okay." She could wait just a little bit longer, it wasn't going to kill her doing so. She did however, stare at the candy bars before opening one and taking a bite. "It's been forever since I had one of these." Looking puzzled as she quickly finished it off and went to the next one, she had the decency to look embarrassed about the speed of her eating. Her curiosity got the best of her as she observed where they were going, keeping the bag close to her when they finally arrived.

"Th-Thirty five floors?" There was no way she could walk that far, not even if she ditched the heels. Not without sucking down the blood first, and she nodded her head. "Okay." It was easy enough to work it, as she remembered them clearly from before she'd been changed into what she was, so she patiently took the ride up before exiting and standing there awkwardly.

The man looked at her, letting out a laugh as she ate the candybars, "Err, well, one was gonna be for me," he teased her, "But I suppose, if you're hungry,' He teased her.

When she chose to take the elevator, it took her a few minutes to get to the top. When she got out and waited, he was around the corner already it seemed. He took a deep breath as he sighed, "That... wow..." he said to her, "I'm getting out of shape, used to be able to do that faster," He said teasingly as he took the bag from her and went inside, pulling out the energy drink.

He opened the front door to the penthouse apartment and entered with her, shutting the door behind her as he shivered, "Oh man...' he said, "Its cold in here already," He said as he went to the wall unit and hit a few buttons, "Blankets..." he said to her as he went off into a room, "Uh... there's the island you can drop stuff on, kitchen is next to that and you can go sit down on the sofa if you like," he said to her.

Jumping at the sight of the large demon, she took a step back and nearly stumbled on her tall heels. The things were monstrous, and she was eager to get them off and far away from her. She gave the bag up reluctantly, stepping into the apartment and blinking. It was enormous, and she wondered exactly what he did that he could afford such luxury. Was it something violent and illegal, or a more normal job that just paid well?

It was cold though, he was right. She shivered, tucking tighter into the jacket he'd given her before depositing things on the island and looking around for the sofa. It looked as comfortable and expensive as the rest of the apartment, and she hesitated slightly before deciding it was better than standing in her heels all night. Once seated, she leaned down to pull them off, letting out a loud sigh of relief and rubbing her sore feet. The slightly raw skin wouldn't take long to heal, and she placed the heels on her lap before looking around for him again. Now that they were away from everyone else, and he wasn't distracted by driving, what exactly was going to happen?

It didn't take long for him to come back out. He threw a blanket out and let it spread before letting it drape over her. He tucked her in before setting a stack of blankets down next to her as he sat on the other end of the couch, "Sorry again about... this," he said, "You can take the bed, it's the first door at the top of the stairs," he said to her, "I'll sleep on the sofa... I'm a bit wired from the party and of course the drink," he said shaking the half filled can of energy drink to her.

Again, he'd changed. The speed at which he did things.. he really was some kind of demon, maybe even high ranking. He was wearing a pair of sweat pants and a tight white shirt now, thought something was off about his... outfit. He settled in on the couch before she could put her finger on it before hesitating, "OH! Right," he said as he got up. He went back into the kitchen and let out a string of curses.

He came back to her, "The blood pack... it uh... it had a hole in it," he said to her, "Fuck me, it leaked all over the floor and.... and the..." he cursed again as he began to clean up, after a few minutes he came back to the sofa and sighed, "I... I'm sorry about that,' he said standing next to her, "I dunno if I can get the car out, with the storm and everything so... uh... I'm hoping you might... be willing to drink from me?" he said to her, "I'm really sorry about all the...mess... at least you ate your food right?" he said.

Jumping when he tucked her securely into the blanket, she looked confused as he apologized once again. It was so strange, and stranger yet when he told her she could take the bed. Why would he want to give up his bed, just because he was wide awake from a drink? Eventually he would want to sleep, and regardless of the sofa being absurdly comfortable, he was such a large man it just didn't seem right. She took in the state of his clothes with a bit of a puzzled expression, jumping again when he cursed loudly from the kitchen.

"It.. What?" Her heart sank at his words, realizing that the meal she needed far more than human food was now wasted. Further yet, the knowledge that he couldn't leave to get more made a pit form in her stomach, and she craned her head to look up at him. At his words her eyes widened and she let out a low hiss, bolting from the couch and across the room to press against the wall. There had been enough touching from many people tonight, and the last thing she wanted to be doing was chewing on him just for a meal. No, she could wait to eat, despite the tiredness that was setting in from being so hungry. She shook her head, looking frantically around the room before shaking it again. "No. I can wait."

He hesitated as he heard her voice. He looked at her, "You really can't, I can see how tired you are and I know... I mean, I get it," he said to her, "I tend to... get tired when I don't have my little...extra snack," he said nervously, "Lets just call it that, yeah? And... don't worry, I won't be feeding off of you at all or I'll ask you directly," he said to her, "Uh... that being said though," he said before sighing, "One second," he said.

He moved to the cupboard and took a wineglass out. He grabbed what was left from the pack and poured it in the glass before taking a knife out and cutting himself. She could smell his blood in the air, it was much stronger than the rest of it. He squeezed his fist over the glass, filling it a bit more before going and cleaning his hand off in the sink and wrapping it up. He came over to her, holding the glass and handed it to her, "Here," he said to her, "I'm not having some girl passed out or drugged or... god knows what else in my apartment if someone stops by," he said, "Since you don't seem to trust me yet, I'll give you the benifits I GET from you actually drinking and all that," he said to her as he turned on the TV and flipped around through some channels.

"I'll be fine." Probably. Maybe. Probably not. A small amount of relief washed over her as he reassured her he wouldn't be drinking from her, although she wasn't sure whether or not that would change in the future. Anything was possible after the things she'd gone through. She paused though, watching him disappear again before she hissed at the sudden scent of blood. It was so strong, and it smelled so delicious it took everything in her not to prowl after it and drink it greedily. She froze upon realizing how his blood was in the air, listening to the sink run before he came out with his hand wrapped up. Why had he done that, rather than force her to bite him, or let her starve?

"Someone might stop by?" Her voice was small as she snatched up the glass, sliding down the wall to sit on the floor. It wasn't as appealing as the couch, but it was still a safe distance away from him, at least for the moment. "No, I don't." She was blunt with her words, seeing no point in lying. She wanted to throw her heels at him, but knew that doing so would only cause her physical pain when her body rebelled against it. Instead of resorting to violence, especially with the shoes so far away, she drank greedily from the glass before setting it on the floor and licking her lips. It sent a rush of warmth through her immediately at the strength of it, a content sigh sounding as she tucked her legs under and sat there. "I don't understand why anyone would buy me with the intent of just.. Getting me away from that. It doesn't make sense."

He sighed, "I didn't buy you," he said to her, "Drink what you need, and feel comfortable. I didn't buy you, I wont you in cards, and the only reason was I couldn't see someone like you go home with a guy like... one who would have taken you home," he said to her softly, "As for people showing up? I dunno, people show up all the time, that place wasn't super legal and there are people who want to see me...." he paused, "I'm on a board of directors at a company... we sell... stuff, for people. We sell..." he paused and sighed, "I'm partly incubus," he admitted to her, "We sell sex in all its forms," he told her.

He let her react before continuing, "It means that no matter what I do, some people will hate me and want to see me burn. So they'll send cops, or investigators to come look for drugs or god knows what else. I have to be more straight edge than most and it drives me up a fucking WALL," he hissed, his eyes flashing red again before he calmed himself, "Sorry, sorry... I do... do have some issues with anger but I've never hit anyone, like I said, I can't or my career would be over, I'd be sent back to hell without a second thought," he muttered angrily, "Get up here on the fucking sofa, its cold down there!" he said to her, "Stop... stop cowering. Its unbecoming of someone as strikingly beautiful as you," he said to her.

"Fine, won me." She conceded, but in the end it was all the same to her. Her eyes wandered at the mention of the other man, jaw clenching as she thought of all the things he probably would have done to her. If the hand up her dress was anything to go by, it wouldn't have been pleasant at all. What was she supposed to do if people were constantly showing up, though? Was she supposed to hide, or make polite conversation with them? "You're--" She nearly choked on the air as her heart raced, ears pinned back again as she tried to imagine what he did, and then promptly shoved those images back.

Flinching when his eyes flashed and his voice raised, she relaxed only a small amount at his apology. It was going to take some getting used to, and she had no idea how long it would take if he continued with them. Glancing down at the floor, she shivered when she realized how cold it was, even with the way her face was pleasantly warm from her meal. A growl left her mouth, however, at what appeared to be a compliment, and she stood up to snatch the blanket before sitting on the floor in front of the couch instead. Cocooning herself in the blanket, she drew her knees up beneath it, resting her chin on them and turning her attention to the television with a shake of her head.

The incubus sighed, "Come on," he said as he reached down and scooped her up like she was nothing before sitting her on the couch, "Its warmer up here, and I won't have a dead woman..er..." he paused and listened, "Dead...er woman? You still have a heart beat... not a vampire," he said as he tried to figure it all out before sighing, "Sorry, I don't... want you sick or anything like that... and if anyone asks, I'm an incubus. Its to be expected I have people over from time to time..." he said to her, "Honestly it's more strange that I don't have people over... though I suppose that happens when you're addicted to work and the only sexaul energy you get is from flirting at work or the occasional strip club," he said before coughing, "You.... didn't hear any of that, understood?" he said.

A celibate incubus? That was something to be shocked at, but the way he carried himself made it clear he still had SOME power. though him getting ot the top of the stairs faster than her in the elevator, but being out of breath... and who knows if he cheated at cards tonight, but still came in third... It added up to some things. He eyed her up one more time before getting up off the sofa and moving to a chair, settling into it with his energy drink, as he threw his feet up on an ottoman as he stretched out a bit, "If you're not comfortable with the bed you can sleep out here. I rarely use my bed as is, which is why I offered it," he said, "I'll usually be asleep in my office..." he said to her.

"Don't--" She had left the floor before she could anything to stop him, flailing wildly and retreating to the corner of the sofa with a quiet hiss. "I'm not a vampire." She tapped on her chest as if to reinforce that she very much did have a heartbeat. "Okay, incubus." She huffed quietly, freezing when he instructed her not to repeat the last part. Was that his way of saying he didn't have sex? It made no sense at all, that an incubus wouldn't be sleeping with anyone he could for energy. That was the best way to do it, after all. Her posture relaxed slightly when he moved himself to the chair, but she still stared at him with a bit of a glare now.

"Don't touch me." It was the first bit of defiance she had shown since they'd left the casino, and she bent down to snatch up her heels and hold them close to her. "Don't touch me," She repeated. "Or I'll start throwing these despite the fact that it probably hurt me far more than it hurts you." She paused, refusing to relinquish the shoes before she gave him a short explanation. "Demon, not vampire."

He sighed and raised his hands up, "Right," he said to her, "I'm very sorry that the strong and and handsome man swooped in and saved you from the bastard who wanted to grope you and probably rape you," he said, "I..." he paused, "That... never mind, that isn't something I should say, forget... forget I said that as well," he said with a sigh before standing up. He put the remote down on the couch near her before walking up the stairs and into one of the other rooms of the house, shutting the door.

Once alone he let out a long groaning sigh. He moved over to a desk filled with papers and other things and settled in at it, looking around. Work always helped him get his mind off things. What the hell was he thinking bringing a woman home with him? How the fuck was that a good idea when it had been so damn long since he'd been with a woman. He sighed as he turned on the computer and started doing a few things before the buildings power flickered again. His computer almost cut out and he cursed. Loudly. Well there went that idea... what the hell else could he do to waste time and try to stay away from the one thing in the house he wanted more than anything?

Flinching at his statement that she knew was very much true, she refrained from making any comments once he had left the couch. After a quick glance at the remote she decided to ignore it, listening to the click of another door as her hands started to shake. The heels were still in her lap, and she stared at them before throwing one, and then the other across the room with a snarl. The sound of them hitting the floor loudly was almost cathartic, and it was all she could do to resist throwing the remote directly after it. Instead she simply set it on the floor, stretching out on the couch even as her eyes watered up.

Hell itself might have been better than showing weakness in the home of her new owner, and she buried her face under the blanket and against the couch to muffle her sniffle as the tears began to leak out. It wasn't freedom, but it was the possibility of being the closest thing to it she could attain if it were true. Her teeth gnawed at her lip before she wiped at her eyes, furious with herself for the obnoxious tears she should have held back.

He sat in the dark quietly brooding on his situation. The power stuttered again and then gave out and he cursed silently. He came out and stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at her, "Take the bed," he said to her again, "It's going to get colder," he said to her softly, "Tomorrow I'll see about getting you out of here. I don't know what I was thinking letting you come here, but it wasn't pleasent, and I'm... Sorry."

He drew in another breath before letting it out slowly, "I was thinking with my dick and I was no better than that Jack ass... Assuming everything is okay, we'll get you somewhere where you can go off and live your life as normal as it can be..." He said to her. He watched her from the top of the stairs and sighed again, "I'll be asleep in my study if you need something, make yourself at home as much as you can," be said to her.

"Did the power just go off?" Sitting up in alarm, she looked up the stairs at him, thankful for her ability to see well in the dark. "Go where? To more strangers I don't know or trust?" Would that be better, or worse? She stiffened up, growling quietly as he admitted what he'd been thinking. For an incubus who didn't have sex, it seemed out of character. "I'll be fine." Standing up and keeping the blanket wrapped around her, she shuffled up the stairs slowly and to the aforementioned bedroom. He was right, if it was going to get cold then she needed all the warmth she could get. Even with her demon traits, it wouldn't do anything to keep her small body warm, and she stared at the bed before crawling into it.

The smell of him was overwhelming, and while it wasn't unpleasant, it was still foreign enough that it bothered her. After wiping the remainder of her tears away, she burrowed under the sheets with the blanket still around her. Her head hit the pillow, eyes closing as she listened to the silence around her. It was almost peace. For once, the silence was enough to lull her into sleep and allow her to remain there.
