Rain Was listening to the small group of girls and one woman talk discussing the details of the day and what all went down. Eventually, through bits and pieces, she was able to determine what actually happened but no one just outright said it. Glancing up at the sound of someone making their way down the hall she spotted two more girls coming to join them. As the other girls began to talk to them she was able to determine that they were somewhat in charge. She patiently waited and watched the girls somewhat rocking on her toes listening until one of the newer girls headed off to the med bay cradling her hand as she did. Raising a brow she moved after her following her into the room before snagging her hand gently "Oh my this looks like someone hit a brick wall or at least a very strong wall made of something better than bricks." She smiled and shrugged before placing both her hands on Nightstars one wrapping them up before huffing and warmth would spread out encasing her hand with a blue light "Mmm that should be better now."
Atalanta
Glanced up as Artemis and Nighstar made their way down the hall to join them in their small grouping that seemed to be growing with every moment. As she listened to what they said she shook her head at what happened after she was knocked out and now the league was talking to their members. Shit for her first day on the job things had definitely taken a turn for the worse and only grown as the day went by. Shaking her head some she looked up at Nightstar and gave her a weak smile "It wasn't your fault ma'am so stop beating yourself up about it. Everything went wrong that could go wrong and you did your best." She gave another small smile before hanging her head again starting to relax and unwind finally.
Oracle had rolled away from the table to look out one of the windows in the room. This particular room's windows faced deep space, so she didn't see PowerGirl nodding to Arthur's question or Wonder Woman silently assenting to his lecture.
"Man, ya know I love ya like a brother," Cyborg said shaking his head, "An' so far you've been right about Green Hornet's li'l girl... But right now..." He bowed his head falling silent as Wonder Woman glared at him. Cyborg had no room to disagree with Aquaman since a gridiron warrior was far different than the kind of warriors Aquaman, Wonder Woman and even Amethyst were. Diana gave Arthur a pat on the shoulder before looking at Oracle.
Elsa
Elsa gave Ravager a scoff. "We BOTH are being called in. How do YOU know you're being dismissed? From what I saw in the aftereffects of that warrior's blood lust, it's something else." She wasn't close enough to give a pat of encouragement, but hoped the words were enough.
She was grilled first about her part in the battle with Freya. With more decorum than was just shown her by a still "mad as a Mom" Oracle, she explained in detail her part in the battle and the look in "the ice warrior"'s eyes, which both condemned Freya farther to some, yet exonerated her in the eyes of others... Including a previous naysayer in Jordan.
In the middle of the debriefing, Oracle's phone rang. "Hornette... You're on thin ice with Stewart. This better be good!" She barked, again rolling away from the table.
"Oriole! This compy thingy is going wonky! It's saying there's a silent alarm at... Hold onto your hairdos... The batcave!" Harley said excited, sliding into the debriefing room.
Oracle hit speaker on her phone. "Hornette. Repeat your message?"
The soft spoken yet authoritative voice of Green Hornet's daughter came over loud and clear. "Boss lady... I can ASSURE you... You did NOT mishear me. I said, I just saw Batgirl drive by on her motorcycle!"
"That's what I thought you said, Hornette. Copy that on Batgirl. Going to trust you to contact the rest of the Birds. You know what rooftop we meet. Be there in five." she hung up with her and addressed the rest of the League debriefing council. "Probably more skullduggery from Loki, but just in case.... Take over Wonder Woman."
Diana sighed, and said, "Anything farther, Queen of Arendelle?"
"Yes, Princess of Themyscria. My ex, the winter elemental himself, has not been as forgiving as I. I hate to add to your already full plate... But he seeks vengeance for his daughter's death. Starting with Metropolis."
"Wonderful..." Flash bemoaned.
With a dejected sigh, Diana looked at Ravager. "Onus unfortunately falls on you. Can you offer us any help on this Loki? MOs*, targets, strength of magic from your perspective? And is this piling on of mischief a typical MO for her? That's what you were going to be called for, but I and the others thought we were going to have a normal briefing with you about this."*
Ember
Olive took one look at the hand. "Again?! Really?! Did you learn nothing from the last time?! I love you dearly, Nightstar... You know that... But dammit, you need to stop with that punch! Seriously!
Artemis
Artemis frowned at Nightstar's disregard. "Nightstar... Wonder Woman gave you a direct order. Don't you think you should have followed it? I get you're pissed at her...Hell, I'm not leader, and I am! But so we don't get yelled at any more, will you at the very least tell her exactly what Wonder Woman directed? No, I'm not doing it. She told you." Artemis was going to make it clear, that as leader, Nightstar had to correct Quincy jumping the gun on her authority.
The helicopter came crashing into a forest on a dark but clear night, not far from Metropolis, Alina's bindings were destroyed in the crash and it seemed her 'escort' and driver had been killed in the crash. She looked around as she got up to her feet, feeling weak from the strain the crash took on her. She managed to grab a couple of briefcases that were being transported along with her encase they would help her, though she had no idea what was in them before she ran.
She ran for what seemed like hours through the forest to get further away from the crash, the sound of other helicopters going over to the crash site had quickly filled the air, were they looking for her? She had no idea but she didn't want to go back, she wanted to be free. She continued to run, she had eventually made it to a set of train tracks, just as she stepped on them she felt the warmth of light hit her to her right, followed by the loud sound of a horn. An oncoming train sped at her, her pupils shrinking as the light hit them as she turned to face it. A last-second decision to jump out of the way came a little too late as she was sideswiped by the speeding locomotive and got sent flying into the other side of the forest, bouncing off several trees, holding onto the briefcases for dear life. The bar went flying as she bounced from tree to tree before finally hitting one directly to a dead stop. Alina looked down at herself, the white dress like gown was torn, burnt and dirty, but she was still fine, though she was getting tired, and her vision was starting to fade. Giving her head a shake she took off again, making her way closer and closer to the city.
Current Day:
Alina had managed to get settled into the city after that trying night, the locks had been broken on the briefcases when she was hit by the train, or perhaps from the crash, wither way she was grateful, as one of them was full of cash, what it's original purpose was, she had no idea, but she managed to get a low key apartment that accepted cash and asked no questions, everyone who lived there didn't seem to be in great state, but she could stay there for now as she learned how to live and act in society. Every day she would go out, and watch people, and at night would often do the same. There were bad people, good people, but most people, it seemed they were grayer, not good, not bad, just getting by, what kind of person was she? Then there were these other people, people who seemed special, heroes, people called them. They would wear masks sometimes, but even when they didn't people didn't seem to know who they were, people would talk, trying to guess who they might really be.
Soon Alina learned about the hall of justice, perhaps she could go there, her supply of cash was getting low from the rent food and clothing she was buying and paying for if anyone could help her maybe they could, and perhaps she could use her gift to help as well. She decided she wanted to try and be good, she wanted to help like those heroes, she already had one advantage, she didn't have an identity to protect, she was a nobody, only ever referred to as subject 18 by the scientists who raised her, though one nice woman, had called her Alina before, saying that could be her name if she wanted, it was as good as a name as any she supposed.
One night as she was making her way back from a night out, watching the nightlife she had heard something coming from an ally way as she got close to her apartment. At first, it sounded just like talking, but as she got closer, she saw a woman at gunpoint, it was two men, she couldn't make out what they were saying but the women looked terrified. She looked around, none of those heroes around this time, was it up to her? She walked up behind the man with the gun and tapped his shoulder.
"Excuse me" she spoke out the women's eyes had been avoiding looking to her, perhaps she assumed Alina would try a sneak attack? "Gah!" The man, on edge, jumped as he turned around firing his gun directly into her, she clenched where the bullet hit instinctively. "Shit! go go!" Both the men took off, knowing the sound of the gunshot would draw attention, and they didn't want to go down for murder.
As they ran the women looked to Alina and for a moment seemed like she might run to before running up to her and pulled out her phone. "It's okay I will call an ambulance" The women spoke as she placed a hand on Alina's back trying to also support her if she started to fall. "Oh!, no it's okay I think they missed" She moved her hand away to show a hole in her clothes, but no blood. "Or umm, maybe it was a blank" She insisted before turning around to walk away. "Right... well thank you, whoever you are" The women didn't seem to keen on figuring out what happened and left back on her way, happy to leave with her life and her possessions.
Alina made it home and let out a sigh of relief taking off her shoes to see something was in one of them, it was the bullet that hit her, squished down like a button. Her ability saved her again. As she looked at the bullet she wondered something she often found herself thinking, what would it be like if it had hit her, would it be painful? does she even know what pain is? has she ever truly felt it? or just proximity to it? She tossed the bullet into the trash and went to sleep. That night she dreamed of that woman returning home, perhaps she had kids and a happy family waiting for her? she hoped so.
The next morning Alina knew what she had to do, she had to go the place known as the hall of justice and see if they could show her how to be a hero. She got up. took a cold shower, got a meal at a cafe closer to the better side of town and made her way to the hall of justice, using a map she picked up at a variety store. As she stood at the bottom of the stairs she took a deep breath, this would be the first time she put herself out there for anything, what if they asked questions she couldn't answer? what if they wanted to know who her parents were? There were so many factors she couldn't account for, but she had to try.
She took the first few steps, and each one became easier but more nerve-racking than the last, eventually making it to the doors. She took another deep breath before grabbing the handle and opening them, walking in to look around and the fanciest building she had seen, the giant status of heroes decorated the halls and a spacious front area, where was she to go? She Noticed a front desk and started to approach it.
Watch Tower Briefing Room Ravager:
Arthur nodded to Wonder Woman, expecting her to agree, and that they would be releasing the former Viking soon, with a new set of rules and hopefully the guidance of the Amazonian Princess.
Ravager listened as the others spoke and couldn't help but over hear what was going on in Gotham which had her arch an eyebrow. Someone was parading around as Batgirl? 'Who would want to pretend to be her?' she thought with a small scoff, hopefully it went unnoticed. She tried to look attentive as Elsa spoke, though to be honest she wasn't exatly interested in hearing more accounts about what happened, she had been there to see it all after all. When the question about Loki was posed to her she frowned, but guessed they were asking because of her past.
"How am I supposed to know that? I've never met her." Ravager replied, more then a hint of annoyance in her voice. "I've heard of a magic user who likes ancient artifacts, tomes and the likes. Mostly Norse, so it could be her. But petty theft wasn't this person's thing. My dad didn't often mention his plans or who he used to me. Is everyone forgetting he tried to kill me? So how would I know the people he worked with. I was a mercenary, like him, and stop assuming because of that I know every Free Lancer on the market." she added as she folded her arms over her chest. She thought about throwing in a jab about the apparent Batgirl wannabe but she decided it was best to quit while she was ahead, given the glares she was getting for her attitude.
Hall way & Medbay Nightstar:
Nightstar glanced over at Atalanta, "Thanks, but it's my job to worry about everyone," she commented just before entering the Medbay. As she noticed Ember she sighed, knowing what was coming and cringed a little at the reaction to her hand. But then she had to take down Freya some how. So with a sigh she looked at her girlfriend, "Well how else would you have taken down Perma? She almost got up from even this," she replied as she motioned to her hand. When the Blue Lantern approached she was confused as she had never seen her before, but she wasn't going to turn down help, unless it was coming from Dr. Quincy right now. She knew about the healing power of the Blue Lanterns but it still surprised her. Once her hand was healed she moved it, opening and closing it a few times.
"Wow, good as new, except for my glove, thanks. You know Young Justice could use someone of your skills." she said to the girl. Then she sighed, "Sorry, just a moment." she commented as she turned to Artemis, "I was planning to pass on the message, thank you, I just had no intent to let her touch my hand after thinking she has the authority to report members of our team," she replied to her second in command. With that done she turned and found the Doctor near by, and approached her with a sigh to pass on the message from the League.
"Oracle says that while you can ask for help from team members, you are to "exhaust all avenues" before trying to supersede my orders to team members as this is my team and Artemis is my second in command." she said as calmly as she could before walking away and returning to Ember's side. "I'd like to check on the others now," she said simply when she came to a stop next to the other girl.
Gotham Batgirl:
Rachael smiled as she rode into the city, she was on the look out for any crime she could spot. Her confidence was high as she looked for the right building to scale for the best look around the city. She didn't know the amount of trouble she was about to be in as she located her target. It helped to know the city and soon she was parking her bike below one of the tallest buildings in the city then used the grappling hook to reach the top in no time. Once she was on the building she sat on the edge of the roof and watched for the Bat-signal and listened to a police scanner that she had.
"Bet they will be in for a shock tonight, Batgirl is back Gotham," she said with a smile. Though she was the one that was likely in for a surprise more then any criminals or cops.
Helena Wayne/Huntress:
Helena was relaxing in her apartment and had just turned on the news and was lounging on her couch wearing only a tank top and panties. It was her night off, no patrolling her her tonight, or at least that's what she though given that Oracle was busy and the Birds didn't operate with out her as their Leader. It had taken her some time to get adjusted to her new life after being pulled from one universe to this one, it had taken even longer to stop calling Catwoman and Batman, mom and dad. They had taken in in stride though and never chastised her for the act, but now she was used to not using those names, though she had slipped once or twice when very tired. She was musing about this when her Birds communicator went off and she sighed thinking it was nothing but an interruption of her night off.
"I guess Batman was right... 'There's never a night off'" she said to herself, mimicking the Dark Knights gruff voice. Seeing the message to meet on the usual building she frowned as there was no more information. She felt another ping of annoyance at seeing the message wasn't from Oracle, but none the less she got up. Quickly she put on more appropriate undergarments then pulled on her suit over them and checked her crossbows and made sure she had all her bolts. In total it was only a few minutes from getting the message to getting out the door and jumping on her bike and speeding off into the Gotham night. About 15 minutes later she arrived at the Gotham Clock Tower, "This better be good." she commented as she entered the command center of the clock tower converted into their base of operations and looked around for the others.
Metropolis Hall of Justice
It was Red Tornado and Guardian's turn on duty at the Hall of Justice, the latter always seemed to have this kind of duty these days. It meant the pair were missing the meeting going on at that moment back on the Watch Tower. They were in the middle of a conversation when the door opened and a young woman entered. The pair found it a bit odd, given how late it was, but unlike most museums the Hall was open all hours, probably because it was run by Super Heroes. Of course there was a civilian staff or tour guides but usually a hero, like Red Tornado or Guardian were at the desk.
"Can we help you, young lady?" Red Tornado spoke up in his mechanical voice.
Freya Cuddled up around herself trying to ignore her situation, but she was trapped inside this box.
Echo Would occasionally say something random or make a weird noise but other than that she was still out of it.
Cera Slowly started to make her way back to the group of girls
Atalanta Gave a nod to her leader before following her into the med bay to take a look at those who she had hurt. She stopped by Echos bed and shook her head giving a small smile as the shapeshifter moved around in her bed and made some ridiculous sounds. Shaking her head again she moved over to the other speedster and gave a sigh as she saw the girl was nearly fine her body just needed time to rest at the moment. Then she finally stepped over to Ameythysts bed cringing as she walked before letting out a sigh of relief upon seeing her breathing and doing ok for the moment. She let out another sigh before finding somewhere to sit down and relax
Rain Smiled up at the other woman and gave her a thumbs up "That's what I'm here for something like that is easy." She gave another nod before blushing some glad she could get such a compliment. "Oh well thanks um I honestly think that was the plan for me just no one had had the time to ask you yet. So yea there's my audition for ya I guess." She laughed some nodding at her before moving around the room double-checking the others in the room. Once again though after her little light show those with small wounds would have them healed if they hadn't been in the room earlier.
Black Canary Grumbled and stretched her arms out over her head as she looked around the main room of the clock tower "That was my line Huntress."
As a tall mechanical red man spoke to her she paused for a moment, she had to avoid all the contact she could since her escape, never knowing if someone would get word of her location to those who had her for so long. She had been trying to learn what the company or business was that held her, but she had found nothing that seemed to match what her experience gave her. Feelings of dought and fear raced through her mind in the short moment she took to respond to him, but she had gone through this a thousand times before, in her head, she needed something that would give her some sort of income or way of life, that and, she wanted to help people like she had helped that lady in the ally.
"Oh! I umm, yes! I am umm here to apply, fo uhh, hero work, I umm, I don't exactly know how this works to be honest" Alina admitted as she walked up to them.
Alina had no idea how they would respond to her after all the other jobs she tried to apply for all wanted a reference or past experience and education, usually all of that stuff. She had none of it, her life up to this point might as well have been in a coma because it didn't count for anything. Alina wanted to do good, and she was willing to prove herself to the heroes, but she didn't know how to approach her past if they pried.
It seemed Ravager was freed... Until, Hal Jordon raised a forefinger and squinted at her, "Aaahhh, one more thing before you go, Ravager... Any chance you might know how we could counter a winter elemental? Any advice would be helpful, I'm sure."
Karen (PowerGirl) thumped her head on the desk and let out a "Oh, for the love of Rao, Hal... I don't think ANYONE is going to have ANY idea how to combat Jack Frost!"
Ember
Olive sighed, yet nodded. She then pointed to Amethyst. "Our Princess woke up. I'll get Atalanta, I noticed her leave just before Sleeping Beauty came around." She patted Nightstar and looked for the other speedster. The pat also said they weren't done discussing what Nightstar had done, since Olive had yet to answer how else it could be handled.
Amethyst
Amethyst opened her eyes for the first time since Atalanta slammed into her. She sat up slowly, wincing and holding her head. She saw Nightstar approach with Ember and smiled weakly, managing a meager "Hey" whilst looking not unlike a delicate flower Princess with the weak wave.
Artemis
Artemis sighed but nodded. Then watched as Nightstar went through with the reminder. "Uh. Nightstar? Technically, ratting out Zatanna was well within her rights as she faked an injury to get attention drawn to her dad. As far as Lady Shazam... Supposedly for someone with the wisdom of Athena... She sure didn't act it, so I can't fault her there either. Both cases made her job harder. What pissed me off, was she took it upon herself to pull rank, and it apparently pissed off the higher ups. Yes, as emergency doctor, she has that ability.... It was just unnecessary this time."
Dr. Quincy
Quincy just quietly looked at Nightstar and Artemis, she was about to open her mouth to defend her actions on the two on report when Artemis came to her defense... Yet stabbed her in the back at the same time. She bit her tongue, to keep from turning into her Grandpa about medical etiquette. Apparently, according to Artemis, someone higher on the food chain than Nightstar put her up to it. "If that'll keep the peace." She said. "I'll consult my journals to see where I might have crossed whatever line got crossed. But answer me this truthfully, how many serious injuries will it take for it to be enough to warrant an emergency field doctor to have the need for all available hands on deck? You don't have to answer right away. Think about it." Quincy was still focussing on the three serious hero injuries, four once Freya had to be knocked down and out, and not the lack of civilian injuries or the fact there were so many available to help out without a medical emergency being declared.
Oracle & Ivy
Oracle nabbed the other Bird out of the greenhouse, which made Ivy's pet cactus very not happy. He crossed his little arms after firing some needles, that Ivy blocked and yelled "Bad, Spike! Bad! No!" She sighed and sheepishly apologised.
Oracle shook her head. "Ivy. You need to get better control of your pets! You know how some of the others feel about you since there's an older version who is a criminal, running around. This is your make or break mission, young lady. One more foul up like that... And you're demoted. Do you understand?"
Ivy sighed and nodded. "I want to be a hero, Miss Oracle. Honest."
Oracle nodded. "I believe you, Ivy, but you need to have better control of your plants. One more and I'll let Nightstar handle you. I'm serious."
The teen hung her head and just nodded her understanding. They quietly went to the zeta tubes and beamed down to inside the clock tower.
Gotham
Alfred (NPC)
The Bat butler was busy pouring tea for the three that had showed up.
Hornette (before beamdown)
"I was just told to send the message out for you to come. I'm not at liberty to say why, although I saw the event with my own eyes." Hornette had to be careful not to divulge too much about the new mission. Yet. "Believe me, it's definitely going to be worth the time. I just got one request. Huntress, can you save us a piece of the action too, this time? I didn't get a shot in, and I don't remember Canary getting a cry in edgewise." She was being as polite about it as possible, but, even Green Hornet himself had a hard time sounding polite even when he was. His daughter would be no different.
BoP HQ Gotham
Oracle
"Down, Hornette, you said that after the last mission, already. How quickly you seem to forget who took down Rupert Thorne... With a little help from Ivy and Catwoman, and hardly any from the rest of us." Ouch. "Since you are running your mouth.... You will tell all of us what you saw and give a complete description." Double ouch. Oracle must've still been upset with what happened to Young Justice as the last bit wasn't warranted. Oracle rolled over to the computer, turning it on and looked over to the youngest Bird.
Hornette
With a simple nod, Hornette expounded the information on the female Bat she saw, and described Barbara's old suit to a tee. For someone who had never seen it to describe it that well meant only one thing... This newest Batgirl was wearing the old suit.
Oracle and Alfred (NPC)
Barbara Gordon had to stop typing. "Alfred. Is the same security system still up, that was there when I had to EARN that suit?"
"The very same, Ms. Oracle. Only the password has changed."
"So she had to earn it the same way I had to in order to steal it?"
"No doubt."
Oracle looked at the gathered team. "With that in mind, ladies, good luck fighting her. You all have your work cut out for you. I'll monitor from here and let you know when I find her. Meanwhile spread out among the rooftops, because you all know that would be the real Batgirl's MO. Happy hunting." She grimaced and poured over the screens as she sipped some tea.
Watch Tower Ravager:
Ravager was on her way out the door, given she couldn't add anymore when she was called back by one of the Green Lanterns, and frowned at the question. "Right cause I'm just an encyclopedia of all the bad guys the League faces..." she deadpanned before rolling her eyes and leaving the briefing room and started towards the Medbay. She made a guess that was where the rest of the team was. On the way she came across Cera, also headed the same direction. "First time on the Watch Tower?" she asked as the other girl seemed to be taking in the sights.
Nightstar:
Nightstar got the message from Ember, though she didn't feel their was anymore to say that hadn't already been said. Having delivered the League's message to Qunicy she didn't stay to listen to the Doc's question and instead went back to the Blue Lantern. She was also glad to see Amethyst waking up, but she thought it was best to let her wake up fully before saying anything that would make her have to think. "Well it would have to be cleared with Oracle and whomever our new mentor is, but you've got my vote to join the team, what do you say Arty?" she asked as she looked towards her second in command. Once Amethyst was more awake she would check on her, for now she gave her time to get her bearings.
Gotham Huntress:
Huntress rolled her eyes as she heard Black Canary, though before she could respond Helena heard the second voice and on instinct turned and fired a crossbow bolt in the direction, missing Hornette by only milometers as the bolt embedded in the wall near the girl's head. Then as she realized it was Hornette, it didn't really bother her so much that she had nearly shot a teammate. "Try showing yourself before talking next time, I won't lose so many bolts that way." she commented without offering an apology. It was pretty well known that she didn't exactly like Hornette much. It was mostly because she hadn't come up through the "system" which meant being part of at least the Teen Titans or Young Justice teams. Once Oracle arrived she turned her attention to their leader.
"So since everyone is already thinking it, how did she even get into the Bat-cave to steal the suit? I mean doesn't Batman have like the best security system on the planet? Better even then the Watch Tower? That's enough reason to stay on our toes for me." she could be forgiven for not knowing how Oracle had to earn the suit, as she wasn't in this universe then. With that she turned and left the tower, through the window rather then the door, quickest way to the Gotham City roof tops after all. It wouldn't be hard to find the new Batgirl, she was on one of Oracle's old roof tops.
Batgirl:
Rachael sat on the tall roof top, near the GCPD station that had the Bat-signal. She wanted to be close in case something happened and they turned on the signal. On top of that she had a police scanner as well. One could never be too thorough when looking for crime in Gotham, not that it was hard to find crime in this city. She didn't know she was now being hunted by some of the best Heroines in the business, but it would excite her to know that her idol, the Original Batgirl was directing the effort to find her, the impostor. Soon enough as if on schedule a crime had been reported and came through on the police scanner. "Alright, time to go to work." she commented as she got up from where she was sitting on the ledge of the building and began looking for a good place to fire her grappling hook.
Metropolis:
As the pair heard the girl's request it was Red Tornado who spoke up first. "We are not currently taking applications for that." the robotic hero said simply. This caused Guardian to sigh as he turned to the girl.
"What my friend here means to say is that what we do is dangerous work for anyone, but more so for normal people." Guardian replied, a little nicer then his counterpart had, at least he thought so. "Not to say you don't have talents, but you'd also need a member of the League to sponsor you. We can't just let anyone join, cause if you get hurt it would be our fault." he added. As Guardian spoke to the girl Red Tornado noticed an alert from the Justice League's weather monitors.
"Abnormal weather changes detected in National City, and Star City. Alert has been sent to the Watch Tower." Red Tornado said as if repeating some kind of programming system or reading off a computer screen.
Location: [#%#!%$^!~Data Corrupted~$&*#*%$#&] Subject: [@^$%$#@$~Data Corrupted~$!%$#&^%]
It was late and the Asgardian Princess was asleep in her room and large comfy bed, when a sudden explosion woke her. She sat up with a start and rushed to the window as she noticed the orange flickering along the ceiling of her bedroom. Upon reaching the window and balcony she noticed their were fires all around the city, Asgard was under attack. She was shocked and surprised, who would dare to attack Asgard! As she felt her anger building she also began to worry about her parents and grandfather, the latter of whom was in The Odinsleep. Though he had passed on the crown of Asgard to Thor only a few years ago, he was still important to Asgard. Turning away from the scene of her city burning below her she summoned her sword to her hand, which she caught with ease as her armor formed. She was ready to engage in battle, just in time too as she heard movement outside her door.
She flung open the large wooden doors and was greeted by the sight of an Asgardian soldier just about to knock on her door. "What is happening?
"Asgard has been attacked Princess, your Mother sends for you! She was last seen in the throne room." The soldier said calmly, as Torunn nodded and took off down the corridor. She didn't bother running, as flying was so much quicker and she could dodge any fights and cut down any enemies that crossed her path much easier this way. Once she arrived in the Throne Room, where she found the Warriors three battling creatures that Torunn had never seen.
"Volstagg, where is my mother?" she called to the closest of the Trio.
"Defending the Bifrost with Thor and Heimdallr" Volstagg called to the Princess who nodded and took flight once more, cutting down several of the creatures as she did, helping the trio a little before she made her way towards the Bifrost. When she arrived she found her mother and several of the Valkyries fighting the creatures, forming a defensive line to protect the Bifrost. Torunn landed behind their line where she found her mother.
"Mother, what is going on, why have we been attacked?" Torunn asked as her mother turned to face her.
"There is no time to explain, you must go to your father inside. I love you my dearest daughter." Lady Sif said before hugging Torunn.
"I don't understand... why does this feel like a goodbye?" Torunn asked even as she returned the hug.
"There is no time, go!" Lady Sif said calmly as she pushed Torunn into the Bifrost room. Once she was inside the spherical room shifted, closing the door.
"Are you ready Heimdallr?" she heard her father say.
"Yes, it is up to Loki now." the Gate Keeper and Watchman replied.
"I am ready, and it's is done." Loki said with confidence. The Bifrost activated and chanced to a color Torunn had never seen as her uncle's magic took effect.
"Father! What in the name of Odin is going on?" she called to Thor who turned to her, and his eyes softened slightly.
"It is Ragnarok, your mother and I had decided to send you away to protect you from certain death here, you have so much life before you." Thor explained as he walked over to his daughter and pulled her into a hug. "This is for the best."
"What!? I don't want to leave you and mom! I can fight... Uncle tell him this is madness!" She said as she returned the hug but stepped back, moving around her Father, inadvertently turning her back to the Bifrost.
"Sorry dear, I am afraid I agree with my Brother on this one, it is for the best" Loki said simply.
"There isn't much time!" Heimdallr called looking to Thor, who nodded.
"I'm sorry Daughter, but I can not let you die here with us." Thor said as he stepped towards Torunn once more.
"But wait don't I get..." she couldn't finish her sentence as Thor pushed her back into the Bifrost gate and she was sent away from Asgard for the last time. As he watched his Daughter disappear into the Bifrost he pulled out his trusty hammer Hjolnir and raised it to look at it one last time.
"Protect her my old friend, protect my daughter!" and with that he threw it into the Bifrost as well. Then the portal to the other Realms closed for the last time as Thor turned and picked up the spear, Gungnir, and rejoined his Wife on the battlefield. "It is done..."
Star City
The weather in Star City had gone from perfect and calm to a sudden, unpredictable and violent storm. The unusual and dangerous change in weather had caused an alert to be sent to the Justice League and it's affiliated teams. During the storm a bright light came down, some would call it freak lightning but it was more reminiscent of a portal or something similar, and it swirled like a glowing tornado before disappearing once more. A certain archer had been just about to follow her mother through the boom-tube to join her in Gotham, after all Speedy was trying to get accepted to the Birds of Prey and didn't want to miss out on their mission. That was until the weather took it's violent turn, then the light appeared. "Um... Oracle... I don't think I'll be joining the hunt tonight... you should take a look at the weather for Star City, when you get a chance..." she called over the Birds comms that she had borrowed from her mom's things.
National City
The strange weather change wasn't limited to Star City, as farther down the coast, but far enough away that it shouldn't have the same weather as Star City a similar storm just as violent started at nearly the same time in National City. There was only one difference between the two storms really and that was the light that happened in Star City didn't happen in National City. However, something that people would end up calling a meteor, but would turn out to be something no one would expect, light up the dark sky and landed just outside the city limits, forming a large crater on the outskirts of the City.
WW
Once the meeting was over Diana gave a nod to the rest of the heroes assembled and stood up, it was time she took charge of her newest ward. Making her way from the room she started through the halls until finally, she stopped in front of the girl's cell. Stepping into the room she waited for Freya to stand up and once she did Diana gave her a nod before backhanding her and truly getting her attention. "That is the first lesson, you lost control nearly killed your team and even now you want to strike at me but you won't. We have discussed what you did the other heroes and I and we have determined that you are not off of the team. However, you are not off the hook young lady. I will be your raid leader from now on you will listen to any order I give you or you will be taken down. I as well as Nightstar and Artemis are in charge of you and you will not go against us. Along with this every day you and I will meet for a sparring match and we will work on that rage of yours, now then you are with me for the rest of the day until your team leaves." She nodded at the girl before turning around and making her way from the cell expecting the girl to follow and knowing she would.
Freya Glanced up as her cell door opened and then as the Amazon princess stepped in her eyes went wide and she slowly moved off the bed to stand up in front of her. She looked her up and down not sure what was going to happen only to be struck out of the blue. Gasping her eyes flashed only the princess started to berate her barking orders and laying into her. Taking a step back eyes wide one hand on her face she could only stand there and nod occasionally until finally, she was done. Once she was done Freya gave her one last nod before slowly following the heroine out of the feel and through the watchtower.
Cera As she was making her own slow way back towards the med bay she found herself walking next to the white-haired aggressive one. Smiling down at her she gave a nod before shaking her head "Hmm it is a yes and a no. I have been to the watchtower before but only for the short time today I have been given the chance to explore more of the tower. Although why it is a tower I do not know for it is not part of a fortification." She smiled and shrugged before raising a brow at the girl sensing she was more than a bit miffed "Are you the ok?"
Atalanta Glances up as Ember stops in front of her she offers her a small smile before shaking her head "I'm ok thanks I know shes ok I'm fine with that I don't need to see that shes awake. Just knowing I didn't kill her is enough." She gave her another smile before settling back into her chair with a sigh
Echo Lets out a small groan as she rolls over, there were too many people making noise and she was trying to sleep. She would be perfectly fine when she woke up at the moment she was simply being stubborn and staying in bed.
Rain Glanced up as Nightstar stopped in front of her and gave her a small smile "Well I would very much like that. I'm tired of being up here and apparently you guys need someone like me. Although I'm not just a healer I can fight on the front lines as well my ring lets me make pretty much anything." She smiled and flexed her muscles just to prove her point.
Black Canary
Eyes went wide as the bolt was fired, but it seemed nothing would come of it for now so she was content to let it be. Shaking her head she made her way further in stopping and crossing her arms as she listens to the small debriefing
Alina was about to speak up when Red Tornado announced the weather emergency report. This gave her a moment to think;
should I really trust these people with my secret? what if they turn me into those scientists? But they are heroes, they wouldn't do that, would they? She was the victim, right? those people didn't really own her, did they?
After a moment she took a breath and addressed Guardians' point, as he seemed less dismissive than the red robotic hero.
"Wait! I umm, I am not normal, I have abilities, I won't be a liability I swear" She wasn't sure if that was the right decision but she couldn't go back to doing nothing, in a worst-case scenario she would run, she had plenty of practice with her abilities, it shouldn't be hard for her to escape, though she didn't really know what powers these two heroes had.
"Is there like a test or something I can do, I don't know any heroes that can sponsor me, I don't really know anyone" She admitted, though felt she may have been stalling his response, worried about what it might be.
"Again. From the top." The goddess of wisdom was very unhappy with one of the heroes to which she had blessed. The old wizard, Shazam, patted her shoulder.
Mary Batson, currently stripped of her powers stood trembling in front of the angry goddess. "As I stated before, ma'am... No one could understand each other because they couldn't hear each other. I thought if they read what the other actually said..."
"You THOUGHT?!!" The goddess slammed both fists on the table making everyone in attendance except Batman and Martian Manhunter jump. "ALL that wisdom bestowed upon you, in the middle of a medical crisis... And you THOUGHT NOTES would help?! No WONDER the doctor put you on report!!"
"If I may interject something here," Captain Comet stated. "We rely on our hearing and communication so much, that when it's not available, we do not know what to do with ourselves."
"Then you humans need to stop taking it for granted so much! That still doesn't excuse a grown woman passing notes out like a grade schooler!" The goddess, Athena, snapped angrily. "Especially in the middle of a medical emergency!"
Mary Batson hung her head. "I still don't know what I could have done differently."
Athena and Shazam both glowered. Shazam put a hand on Athena's arm. "I've got this, milady." He looked solemnly at Mary. "You could have healed their ears, young lady."
"That would have been my choice," Mister Terrific admitted.
"With my shrinking abilities, I could have actually touched the eardrums to stop the vibrations." Atom stated.
Athena glowered at him. "Shrinking that small is not an ability of Captain Marvel." She said. "Mary would have had to cup their ears."
Mary looked up. "I didn't know I had healing powers, too."
"A lesser used power, but there." The wizard explained.
"She was meant, from the beginning, to be Young Justice's detective. We were in agreement on that." Batman growled.
"Bruce. I'm ashamed of you." Athena sighed, sounding motherly. "Yes, I agreed to growing her intellect in that manner, but not at the cost of her other abilities. You of all people should have realized that."
Harley Quinn
Harley flew in. "Uhh! We got like serious situations out west, like seriously serious situations!" Realizing what she said, she quipped, "Try saying that three times fast!"
Manhunter rolled his eyes. "I'd rather not."
Athena sighed. "Dismissed. Walk of shame for 24 hours. Get someone who can help you grow your healing powers when you can once again become Lady Shazam."
"But ma'am.." Mary pleaded in tears.
"Walk. Of. Shame." Athena growled. "For the next 24 hours, you're a normal teenage girl. Dismissed."
"Athena. That's a bit extreme." Atom gasped.
All Batman had to say was, "Don't forget to wear your sunglasses. Rules still apply."
Athena gave Batman another cold stare as the door opened and everyone left. "That rule is antiquated. Get rid of it. I won't ASK again."
Harley then explained about the sudden cold snap in Central City and the weird severe storms, including a glowing tornado in Star City. "A meteor fell during the severe storm in National City." Harley added.
"I'll alert PowerGirl." Atom said, "She said she wanted to go to the Medbay."
"Good idea. PowerGirl is pissed off at me right now. I'll talk to Flash." Batman went another direction.
"I've got Arrow." Manhunter stated going a third.
Athena went directly to see how another of her 'children' was doing. The Amazon princess herself. Besides, after scolding Lady Shazam... She needed a more intellectual conversation.
Medbay
Amethyst
Amethyst blinked several times having heard Nightstar, but not knowing she was referring to the healer Blue Lantern. "I'm sorry, what? I thought I was already on the team. What did I do so heroic? Block the escape route through the portal?" She was understandably confused.
Artemis
Artemis nodded enthusiastically. "Oh absolutely, ab so LUTE Iee!" She frowned at Amethyst. "Yes. You're already a member. Don't worry about it."
Ember
Ember listened to Atalanta before shaking her head. "Hey. Enough of that nonsense, now. That wasn't your fault. I doubt it was anyone's except Loki's. She's the one that decided she was going to steal. She decided to deceive us all with magic and trickery. We need to be better prepared is all. Which reminds me. Something I need to say to Nightstar."
She walked over, "You know that one video game I play that has heroes of different elements? What if we used the same kind of element against element scenerio to fight Loki and Frost? Hear me out on this. Light and dark cancel each other out in my game, and we both know that Loki is using a kind of dark magic. So.... All our light bearers fight her. That's you, Cera and Amethyst once she's better, and any lantern we get. I couldn't have done anything against Freya, because she's ice. Water puts out fire, I'm weakest again it. Minimal damage, y'know? We need to combat with nature. Who do we have there? Easy. Artemis, most of her arrows are natural element based. Also the speedsters, because lightning is natural I'm fire so I'm best going up against green, or nature. Freya being ice is strongest against fire. The next time we go up against Loki... Let's hit her hard with our light element heroes first and last. Sandwiched between would be the attacks from the others, coordinated by you, of course. Well, you and Artemis."
PowerGirl (part 1)
After checking over the injured parties, talking to those who could (which was only Zatara) and hearing his point of view, she went over to Atalanta. "So, like Ember said... It was out of your hands from the start. No amount of kicking yourself now, will restore them completely to before. All you can do is learn from it, and move on."
She then was alerted to the trouble in National City, Star City and Central City. Frowning, she said, "Beam me down into the Hall of Justice. I need to talk to Guardian."
She quickly sent a text to Oracle. Babs. Tell Helena Karen says boo. Once you've apprehended that faux Batgirl, that is.
Velocity
Windy came around and the first thing she wanted to do was get up and fix Young Justice's dinner as that's what was on the schedule. She stumbled a bit and fell backwards onto the bed. Not to be deterred she was determined to get back up. Someone would probably have to end up sitting on her!
Gotham
Hornette
Without flinching and a simple sidestep, Hornette watched the bolt hit the wall, kicking up plaster. With a grimace and grunt she yanks it out and looks at it. "Reusable. Still sharp." She mused offhanded. She made her way to Huntress. "That's not my MO, dear Huntress." She handed her the bolt. "Nothing wrong with it except dusty. You killed a bit of plaster over there though."
Ivy
Did nothing more than salute, and using some vines like grappling hooks took off for another section of the city.
Oracle
As she studied the Gotham skyline, she noticed one thing. "That suit should be easily located by the tracer.... Where is it?"
Alfred sighed. "Miss Gordon. It's a museum piece locked up in the batcave. Where do you surmise it is?"
Oracle growled in disgust, just as she received Speedy's message. "Acknowledged, Speedy. Going to have a disappointed insect who wants to team up, although I'm sure, if you have read her undercover story as I requested, you'd want to kick her ass for being in street gangs and intimidating, first. You take care of yourself and your city."
Oracle then radioed the Birds. "I'm flying blind here. The tracers are no longer there according to Alfred, because, batcave museum." She took a breath as she heard Hornette yell freeze and heard the sting fire. Obviously over a culprit's head.
Hornette came on frantic for the first time ever. "This crazy perp really thinks she's Batgirl, hone in on me, girls... I'm going to need all the help I can get. Going over rooftops. Two blocks west of the police station!" Another gun firing. "Tracer on Oracle! Was aiming for her lower cape though, not where I got her. Sorry."
Oracle was happy to see the tracer blip on. "Alright! Everyone has the tracer signal now? Hornette, don't you DARE lose sight of her! Birds, swoop in and surround her!" She needed to get mobile quick. "Alfred!"
"Already on it," The bat-butler said.
Metropolis
Perry White (NPC)
"Lane, get your protegé and your ass in here pronto!" The editor of the Daily Planet barked in the intercom.
Lois Lane (part 1)
Shortly Lois was in. "What's up, Chief?"
Perry quickly filled her in, and then concluded, "Star City flights are understandably cancelled. It was a flaming tornado! National City has minimal damage because it was a meteor. I want pictures of the space rock and eyewitness accounts of the thing falling!" He sighed. "As for Kara. Strap her to your hood like a hunted deer if you have to... Just get her there. I want both of you on this!"
"Right away." Lois nodded.
Kara Kent (part 1)
Kara just stepped out of the bathroom as Lois got out of the office. With a yelp, she suddenly found herself dragged out the door, down the elevator and out the lobby to Lois's car. "What? No 'lets go Smallville!' this time?"
Lois shook her head, unlocking the door. "No time. Get in. We're flying to National City! Meteor fell in the middle of a raging storm." And off they went... One block and into a traffic jam.
PowerGirl (part 2)
PowerGirl made a stop at the Hall of Justice and right into the quandary that was the girl wanting to apply. "I'll sponsor her. Think I saw her doing small time heroing. Take her to the back, Tornado and start the paperwork. Guardian. I need anything you can dig up on Jack Frost. The winter elemental one. You know. Winter Maiden's dad. And I mean everything. Send them to the batcave, Birds of Prey HQ and the Watchtower. The sooner the better. Oh. And Guardian? Thanks."
No sooner she reached outside, she heard Lois complaining about missing her flight to National City. "Non stop flight from Metropolis to National City now leaving." She said as she picked up Lois's car and flew off with it and it's two occupants.
Star City
Erin "Sherlock" Holmes
Erin Holmes, nicknamed "Sherlock" by Scotland Yard because every case she ever helped on was a sure lock to be wrapped up quickly, sighed, putting aside her paper as she puffed on her pipe looking out at the storm. "Intriguing weather phenomenon today." She mused. "Hullo? What's this?" She peered squint eyed at the developing light tornado that seemed to appear out of the skies, and then dissipate just as quickly. "Hrmm. Roughly five and a half miles to the south west of my current position, as the crow flies. I best check the area, as this mystery is most intriguing." She grabbed her deerstalker cap and cloak and headed out of her hotel and in the direction of the phenomenon she witnessed with a hearty, "At last, excitement on this dull vacation, the game is afoot!"
National City
Kara Kent (part 2)
Upon arriving in National City, Kara asked, "So now witnesses, right?"
Lois Lane (part 2)
"Wrong, Smallville. First we scope out the area where the meteor was seen to have fallen. It should be around here and roped off according to the directions we were given in Metropolis." Lois said calmly.
PowerGirl (part 3)
"Interesting. There appears to be a sledgehammer in this crater. Maybe our meteor is under it." A crowd started to gather, some having already been there. Once actual eyewitnesses to the meteor falling were singled out, Lois and Kara began interviewing them, as yet an unbelievable spectacle played out in front of them. Try as she might, PowerGirl who was definitely stronger than Superman, couldn't pick up the seemingly light hammer! Her grunts and groans, as well as her strained facial and arm muscles spoke volumes.
"If PowerGirl can't lift that hammer.... Who on Earth can?!" Kara gasped, asking the question on everyone's mind.
Central City
Jack Frost (NPC villain and majorly pissed off winter elemental)
In Central City, the day had dawned at a balmy for September temperature of 72 degrees. Clouds appeared out of nowhere right above it and the surrounding area. Wally West, who lost use of his legs thanks to Slade, rolled over to his apartment window as the news reports stated the unnatural drop in temperatures. Fifty degrees in mere minutes. Just as the blizzard began to rage, he could hear, high above, what sounded like maniacal laughter. "Humans! Hear me! I am Jack Frost! You stole my eldest daughter from me, so now you shall be snowbombed back to the ice age!" More maniacal laughter. Wally called Artemis first and then dialed up his other best girlfriend. "Speedy! Dammit I really needed you to answer! You know Queen Elsa? Winter Maiden's mom? Well... Her Dad is here turning Central City into Antarctica! The Antarctica of Pluto! Alert the Titans and..." The power failed, so the message was cut off there.
In another part of the city, Captain Cold, looked around at the blizzard. His last word until the thaw would come was, "Chilling."
Frost laughed at his handiwork. His next stop, right across the frozen river to Midland City, then to points East. All the heroes he was blaming would find their cities frozen wastelands if he had anything to do and say about it.
Ravager glanced at Cera as she spoke and gave a small chuckle, "I see, and yes I'm fine." she commented as they arrived at the Medbay, though they wouldn't likely get much time to see how the others were doing because of everything that was happening back on Earth. It was very likely the team would need a break soon, but for now, they would be kept busy, and had their biggest challenge of the day before them.
Nightstar could only ache an eyebrow as she heard Amethyst before noticing that Velocity was trying to get up. "Hey, you're not ready for that yet, so lay back down." she called to the other girl. Then she turned back to the Blue Lantern. "Great, I'll let Oracle know to add you to our roster when I have the time, until then you're more then welcome to tag along, I'm sure your skills will come in handy sooner or later." Nightstar didn't realize just how soon, soon would turn out to be. She was about to reply to Ember's suggestions about elements or alignments when the alert went off for them to deploy to Star City. Of course give the state of the team this caused her to frown as she looked to Artemis to make sure she had heard the alert as well, and to silent express her displeasure at having their team still considered active at half strength, but at least they had gained a member to make up for the temporary loss of four members.
"Comet, Ravager, Captain Marvel; meet the team at the Boom-tube. We're going to Star City to investigate some kind of weird storm." she called over the team comms then turned to the Blue Lantern. "Well guess we'll get to see what you can do sooner rather then later. Amethyst, Velocity, and Echo will stay here, everyone else lets go." and with that Nightstar led the others to the Boom-tube which wasn't far away.
"Well, guess rest and checking on the others will have to wait..." Ravager said with a small sigh as she turned and headed for the Boom-tube instead of the Medbay.
Metropolis: Hall of Justice:
Guardian and Red Tornado glanced at each other as the girl explained that she had power and were about to reply when Power Girl showed up and decided to sponsor the girl. It certainly caught the pair off guard as generally another League member didn't exactly appear on command for such a thing, but this time everything lined up perfectly. Upon hearing Power Girl's words Red Tornado's mood changed almost instantly as he turned to the girl.
"Very well, follow me please." he said before turning and leading the way deeper into the Hall, coming to a stop in the main room and moving over to the computer next to the Boom-tube which led only to the Watch Tower. "Welcome to Young Justice, your designation will be C012, I do not believe you gave me your name." he said as he paused and looked at the girl, it was impossible to read his expression given he was a robot.
Gotham Batgirl & Huntress
Huntress did her usual act of ignoring Hornette, she didn't really like the other girl much, Oracle knew the reason, and Huntress didn't feel the need to waste her breath on it at the moment, at least not until the girl made a mistake that could cost a mission. Hearing about the tracer, and how Hornette missed at least her intended target was enough for Huntress to bring it up, again. "And that's why everyone is supposed to spend time as a Titan or with Young Justice, rookie mistakes like that can't happen at this level." she commented over the Bird's comms for everyone on the team to hear.
For the moment this new Batgirl was blissfully unaware of her pursuers, at least she was until one of them shot at her. She got the strange feeling she was being followed and wasn't as alone as she thought. In her calculations of Batman's whereabouts she had forgotten to take into account that the Birds of Prey would be sent after her instead. She knew her idol, Oracle would eventually find out, but she had hoped it would be after she had stopped some criminals not before. For reasons behind her own explanation she felt the need to alter her course, which is what caused Hornette to miss the cape and hit the back of Batgirl's leg. "Ouch! What the heck!?" she yelped as she landed and rolled on the next roof top before reaching back and pulling the tracer out of her leg. "What's this? Crap... well I guess I wanted Oracle's attention, but this is way too soon..." she commented as she tossed the tracker away.
Huntress had been close enough to see the whole thing and landed on the same roof as the new Batgirl, she wanted to see just how good she was. "You got more then Oracle's attention, make it easy and give up.... or don't." Huntress said with a smirk, aiming her crossbow at the other young woman.
Batgirl frowned as she heard the voice and looked up to see Huntress standing in front of her. Well she supposed this would happen eventually, but the night was getting interesting sooner then she expected and she wasn't about to just give up. She didn't know the other Bird's weren't far behind. So she tossed a smoke pellet at Huntress followed by a batarang, then charged. Huntress could only smile as the red-head decided to fight. The smoke threw her off a bit and she didn't see the batarang until it hit her wrist and knocked her crossbow out of it, but she saw the shadowy figure in the smoke in just enough time to block the incoming punch with her uninjured left hand. And so the fight had begun, the pair obscured by the smoke pellet.
National City
By the time Power Girl arrived with Lois and Kara there would people already moving towards the site. However it wasn't just civilians as not one but two Government Agencies had also arrived and were arguing over who had jurisdiction over the site. A.R.G.U.S. and the D.E.O. had both arrived on scene and while their respective Lead Field Officers argued their troops were in the process of kicking people off the site and buildings a base of operations around the "anomaly" that had fallen and were attempting to cover it up. A few soldiers were already on there way towards the pair of reporters.
"This is a restricted area, move away or you will be arrested!" the soldier called to the two woman as the group blocked their view of the creator.
At the same time the two Field Agents in charge noticed Power Girl and stopped their argument to confront her. "Power Girl, this area is under A.R.G.U.S. control, I'm going to have to ask you to leave and inform the Justice League to back off." the first said.
"It's under D.E.O. Jurisdiction, but none the less we need you to leave." the other commented. Aside from the two competing agencies, S.T.A.R. Lab was also sending a team from the San Francisco branch to the site as well.
Star City Torunn, Nightstar, & Ravager:
Meanwhile in Star City, when the Bifrost, which was mistaken by the locals as a glowing tornado, closed it left behind a young woman, and Nordic Runes burned into the street and sidewalks. It had been a rough ride for the Daughter of Thor, not only had she been pushed into the Bifrost but she had crossed denominational planes, and while the Bifrost had been stable, it was not a smooth ride. Such a feat should have been impossible. So it was a very groggy and disoriented Torunn that got up with a groan and realized she was on Midgard, but not the one she knew. Her first reaction was to look to the stormy sky, she didn't want to be here while her parents fought for their lives, she wanted to be with them, fighting by their sides.
"Heimdallr! Reopen the Bifrost bring me back! I can fight, I want to fight!" she cried out loudly, her voice echoing off the unforgiving steel and concrete buildings around her. The streets around her appeared to be empty, as people had run from the glowing "tornado" leaving the Asgardian alone in her misery. "Father bring me back! Please don't leave me here.... I can help!" she didn't know they couldn't hear her as she was in a completely new universe where different gods reigned. There was no Asgardian to hear her pleas, she was alone and the last of her kind. "I don't want to be alone... mother.... father...." she felt hot tears forming in her eyes, only to be washed away as the rain fell around her, the storm only seemed to get worse as Torunn's misery and sadness grew.
Nightstar and Ravager were the first of the team to arrive, after Nightstar had told the others to be prepared for anything, she was not prepared to find a blonde girl with a sword shouting at the sky. "I don't know who you are but we have some questions for you, please put down the sword!" Nightstar called to the young woman. She really wasn't looking for a fight with only half her team, not after the disaster of the first one, she didn't want anyone else getting hurt.
The girl seemed to hear her as she quickly turned towards the voice "Who dares challenge the Princess of Asgard!" Torunn shouted back, she didn't know who these girls were, but in her disoriented state, and not knowing where she was meant everyone was a potential enemy.
"Great another idiot who thinks they're a Norse God..." Ravager quipped.
"You dare insult the Daughter of Thor, King of Asgard! You will pay for your disrespect!" Torunn growled as she took a fighting stance and the storm grew even worse above.
"Great job Ravager... you pissed her off." Nightstar commented with a huff, it was turning into a long night.
Comet Smiled down at the other girl and gave her a nod "Ahh that is good that you are the fine it is important to care for yourself as well as for others." She smiled at her again as they wandered towards the medbay. As they drew close though the alarm went off with the announcement that they needed to report to the boom tube staging area. "Ohh it would seem we are needed for firefighting." She shrugged and made her way to where everyone was getting ready and as she moved into position the tube activated and they were off. As they landed all of them were able to take in the raging woman who only seemed to grow angrier. "This is the not good. Although she seems to be distressed not really on the attack the storm grows with her emotions."
Atalanta Glanced up when the announcement was made, she nodded and stood up "Alright I'm ready for this I'm gonna make a better impression and actually do something this time." She stretched her arms out above her head and pushed her leg out in front of her some. Making sure she was good she followed the other girls to the departure room quickly getting into place so that they were able to go. Landing in the city she looked around taking in the growing storm then turned to nightstar waiting to see what she would say and what they should do.
Echo Managed a groan as she heard them leaving and gave a wave followed by a thumbs up.
Rain' Smiled and nodded her head to the leader of the team "That sounds like a plan." She smiled and glanced around the room before nodding "It seems like they don't need me any longer so I think I shall join you." She smiled pumping her fist before skipping on down to the departure room. As they settled down on the ground before the attacking woman she quickly surrounded them in a bubble of power. This was a basic shield meant to protect them from the lightning and other projectiles that came their way but also allow them to speak and communicate with the other woman or any civilians.
Freya and WW As the announcement went off Wonder Woman nodded and followed after the other girls making sure Freya followed her. As they settled into the back of the group she forced Freya to stand next to her so that she could watch her if need be. "When we get down there you are not to act unless asked to." She glared down at the girl before they were suddenly transported to the city. As the woman cried out Freya tensed and started to move forward only for Wonder Woman's hand to grab her shoulder and hold her back. "Stand Down"
Black Canary Was content to let her voice rest for the moment so she was leaning against the wall in the back and allowing the other women to work out what they needed done
Alina, after her announcement, was ready for yet more rejection, as she still didn't have a sponsor, but before she could give up and leave a powerful female voice spoke up, and she was saying she would sponsor her, she had noticed her helping people? she didn't realize that anyone was watching. "Wow umm th-thank you" she looked up to the muscular woman. She had no idea why she would do this, she didn't even know her. But she didn't fight it, instead, she walked with the red robotic man.
"C012? Oh right umm my name is Alina Avira, or did you mean my hero name? umm I don't know that yet, do I make that up or is it given to me? Sorry, I don't know how this works" She replied in a sort of ramble. "Oh and umm Young Justice? what's that? is it like Justice league training or something?" She added asking, clearly nervous, his cold emotionless tone and expression not helping her demeanor.
Mariam "Mary" Batson was all begging for Nightstar, Artemis, someone to listen to her. Before she knew it, she was a citizen in the way as they were transported to Star City.
Star City
Finally, in a rage befitting the person who was currently causing a stormy scene of her own, Mary bellowed, fists clenched, "The Greek goddess Athena stripped me of my Shazam powers for 24 hours for not using wisdom on the last mission!!!" As if to emphasize the point, lighting and thunder flashed right above them, but no lightning bolt came down.
Erin Holmes had just arrived a few minutes earlier, and looked calmly around, taking in everything. "I say, my name is Erin Holmes. Erin as in the poetic name for Ireland. And Holmes as in the famous Victorian Era detective. Why don't all you costumes just take a blink and go over to those tables and chairs, sit down, calm down, and let's discuss all over some hot tea?" She motioned towards the three tables in front of a sidewalk cafe and went in, soon appearing with a rather thin built older man slightly scared, but somewhat relaxed considering all that happened outside his establishment. "Tea IS fine for all, innit? Come, sit. Or shall I start right in on everything I've already observed of you lot in just the five minutes I've seen you." She was being cordial to all, even giving a kindly smile to both the 'Princess of Asgard' and the one the woman in a purple costume called 'Ravager'.
Artemis made the first move. "What do we have to lose? We really can't afford to fight now can we, when even I can see the sword wielding young woman is more scared than anything else? Especially since we all want the same thing. Answers." She made her way to the sidewalk cafe and flopped lazily into a chair, arm nonchalantly over the back and leaning it back slightly on it's back two legs. "One question, Sherlock. Meaning, Miss Erin... What are those markings?" She pointed to the marks surrounding their strange visitor.
After a puff of the pipe, Erin said calmly, looking again at them. "Those, dear girl... Are Nordic runes."

PowerGirl was not going to back down... This time. "So you can just cover it up, both figuratively and literally, with all these witnesses... Too many for all of you to silence this time, by the looks of it? Thousands saw that thing fall, but suspected it to be an ordinary meteor. Those fall every single day all over the world, many about that size, and yet this time, as every severe storm, you come out with armed guards, tanks and personnel, actually DRAWING unwanted attention to it. I'm also willing to bet, that since I couldn't lift it, you won't be able to move it with any of your equipment... And I also seriously doubt it will stay buried should you try to cover it. Here's what I suggest, since you two want to squabble over squatters rights... None of us do anything. Nothing but stare at each other. Until STAR Labs arrive. You're witnesses, too, and there's no sense denying it, as I won't, that you as well saw that no matter how hard I tried... I couldn't lift it. What makes you think you'll do better? STAR, at least, can say where it came from. Maybe some Lantern lost it. Or maybe it belongs to Hephaestus. You know the Greek gods are real. Wonder Woman has proven that, time and time again. For once be scientists, or even children, and let your curiosity lead you. Also, think. If it was a threat, it would have attacked me." Karen wasn't going to call them what she thought they were; instead, choosing, for now, the mature route.
Gotham
Hornette charged into the smoke behind Batgirl, doing exactly as she was told. She gave a flying tackle... Except hooking herself around the neck was about all she was able to do. "Reminder, Huntress. You're not fond of me. Don't you want to slug me one?" No matter how much Batgirl would whip... A Green Hornet didn't let go of it's criminal.
Vines suddenly wrapped around all combatants, because Ivy couldn't see into the smoke. The vines would have Batgirl firmly wrapped up like a mummy, but...
"EYE-VEEEEEE! MAKE IT LEGGO MY LEG! YA GOT ME, DORK!!" Hornette would see the smoke clearing just enough to see Huntress tied up and headed for her! "Hell's bells... This is gonna hurt..."
All Oracle would see, would be the aftermath. And she wasn't happy. "Huntress! You okay? Ivy! You're going to Young Justice! Pack. Your. Bags!"
Metropolis: "That will do for now, and yes it is something like that." Red Tornado answered the questions then paused for a moment a he input the information into the computer and updated the systems before turning back to the girl. "Hmm, it seems the team has been deployed to Star City... It will be up to whom ever is monitoring the Watch Tower Computer whether you join the team or not, For now I'll send you up, please move to the Boom-tube." he added as he motioned towards the teleporter in the wall. "Watch Tower, one to beam up C012 Alina, to be escorted to Young Justice ready room, Red Tornado out." the robot called to the main console on the Watch Tower, as he didn't know who was on duty at the moment.
Star City: Nightstar, Ravager, & Torunn:
With everything going on one would be forgiven for missing something and the oddity of the scene, though perhaps not for Star City, which had an archer that wore green defending it. Nightstar's attention was taken off the scene as she first turned towards the odd woman who was telling them to come to the cafe, given the storm raging around them she couldn't help but find it even more odd then usual. But soon it was Mary that had her full attention as Ravager's annoyance grew by the second.
"What do you mean you can't transform!? At a time like this!? Look I don't know what happened with this Athena, but the team really needs you right now we are short handed as it is, if this gets messy... well.... I mean someone that can square off with who ever this girl is... If she's who she says she is, that means she's a Goddess and we don't have anyone who can compete with that right now!" Nightstar said as she looked to the others for a bit of support here, noticing Ember seemed distracted as well and Comet was showing signs of concern as well. In all honesty Nightstar didn't know what to do, but Ravager on the other hand was itching for a fight, as she didn't get to do much against Lady Loki.
"What the heck are you doing Artemis? This girl could be an accomplice of that thief Loki! Nightstar we need to take her down... ugh!" Ravager snapped as she glanced around.
"How dare you call my Uncle a thief! You will pay for your disrespect!" Torunn called as she lifted her sword and lightning stuck her. When she glow died down there were sparks flowing around the blonde girl, and her eyes glowed and sparked with electricity. "For Odin! For Asgard!" Torunn called as she charged forward and jumped.
"Crap! Look out!" Ravager said as she shoved Nightstar aside and ran forward out of Rain's protective bubble to meet the charging goddess. Torunn brought her blade down as Ravager lifted her's to block. When the blades met Ravager was actually knocked down to a knee from the power in Torunn's attack. The storm grew in strength as the pair clashed and Ravager was forced to roll way from the blonde who glared after her.

As Power Girl was arguing with the two agents another arrived on scene, clearly annoyed that the operations base wasn't set up already. With a frown he made his way over to the trio. "I'm Agent Dolson, DEO Agent in Charge, and unfortunately you are interfering with our job. This was to be used on the guy in Blue if he showed up, but it seems he's gone MIA," the man said as he pulled out a green rock and held it up towards Power Girl. "It's nothing personal Miss, but we have a job to do, and I intend to see it done." he added as he motioned to two soldiers to arrest Power Girl. In the meantime another ARGUS agent showed up, the Agent in charge for them, Agent Hill. Between the two they got the base set up moving much smoother.
"Ms. Lane, I suggest you cooperate with these Soldiers. I'm Agent Hill, so if you'll follow these gentlemen I'm sure this can be resolved." she said calmly.
Gotham Batgirl & Huntress:
Huntress was knocked out as soon as her head hit Hornette, and that was exactly whom she planned to blame for what happened. As for Batgirl, she struggled against the vines, "What the heck!?" she said as she tried to get free. After a moment she went for a batarang to try and cut herself free.
Freya/Perma and WW Eyes lit up as the girl started to really ramp it up growing angry at the other girls for their disrespect of Loki. She stepped forward aiming to join in the fight or to talk or do something other than just stand here and watch. But as she did her shoulder was grabbed and she was roughly pulled back to stand next Wonder Woman. "You will watch if they require our help they will ask for now as I have stated multiple times you are on probation." After a moment she called out to Nightstar "Do not blame Lady Shazam she was punished by the deity that gives her power for the moment she is simply a mortal." Freya stepped back chewing on her lip but as she watched she could see that what the girl said was true as her powers and mannerisms fit those of the Norse gods
Cera/Comet Was about to stop Ravager, but it seemed she was in the right as the storm dropped even more and the other girl's power grew in reaction. Shaking her head she watched as the former mercenary launched herself forward only to be stopped when the other woman met her. Her eyes went a bit wide as Ravager was forced down the other sword pressing down on her, shaking her head Comet started to glow and then she pushed off the ground and slammed into Torunn knocking her off of Ravager. "Please be of the calming down we do not mean you the harm but will take you down if need be." She gave her a weak smile as she floated above the ground her hands and eyes glowing
Rain Watched as the storm grew worse around them and the other girls started to react trying to figure out what they needed to do. The other alien girl and the aggressive one dashed off to fight the girl, she glanced across at Artemis and the other strange human. Grunting she forced her shield to grow so it could wrap around them as well, while this wasn't too much for her if that storm got any more powerful she might be in trouble. "I know I am new and all but maybe we take care of the girl destroying things first and then we can talk to her.?"
Atalanta Stepped out of the way as Ravager ran forward watching as she was quickly stopped by the sword-wielding girl but she had also stopped her so for the moment they were alright. As she looked around she decided she was going to actually help this time but not get knocked out. She started to zip around moving things out of the way so that the storm couldn't turn them into projectiles, at the same time she would help anybody move out of the way if there were any still there.
Black Canary
Shook her head and sighed as she rolled forward and popped up seeing the mess the other women were in. "Really ladies?" She shook her head and gave a small short whistle shooting a sound wave at the faux batgirl hitting the Batarang and sending it flying from her grip "That really wasn't Ivies fault Oracle she was just trying to help." She chuckled as walked over to the batgirl
Alina watched in aww as the mechanical man typed her information into the computer, once again hoping that this wouldn't end up getting back to the organization that she had run away from. Surely they couldn't have access to the information that the greatest superheroes have right? She shook off that thought as Red Tornado once again addressed her. It seemed she was not yet an official part of the team, figures it wouldn't be that easy, hopefully, the women she had seen before she belives was supergirl, but she seemed a bit different. Though that wouldn't be the end it seems, what other tests did they need? there were several tests that she knows wouldn't work on her from the lab tests that were conducted on her. Most machines, heart rate monitors, lie detectors, even psychic powers to read her mind or even communicate, her natural barrier seemed very picky on what got through, she even used to have issues breathing because of it. Perhaps she would simply be quizzed on her powers, she had plenty of answers if that was the case, her being tested was most of her life up to this point, but she didn't want to be poked prodded and shot anymore, testing a variety of caliber bullets, different materials speeds whatever the egg heads could think of.
The other heroes were off in Star City? Where was that? she hadn't learned much of the other cities of the world, it didn't seem to matter, was this information most people knew? She decided not to bring it up, as it may make her seem stupid or strange. Watchtower must be some sort of base of operation I guess like a middle area between here and where she will go if she manages to pass all their tests. Whoever was there would be the one who decides if she can join? Hopefully, they are nice, hopefully, they don't ask her too many questions. She continued to be incredibly nervous as she was gestured toward something called a Boom Tube, surely whatever it was, wasn't dangerous. right? She walked toward the teleporter having no idea what to expect, was this perhaps a scanner she was to use before she was brought to the Watch Tower?
Then he heard him talk about beaming her up. Beaming up? what did that mean? She only had time to question what that meant in her mind before hearing the man refer to himself As Red Tornado, which let her let out a response.
"Thanks, Red, err Mr.Tornado?"
That was the last thing she managed to say before she was brought through the Boom Tube.
Harley Quinn was monitoring all JLU activity on the earth and space, because she was the only one besides Oracle who could handle all the screens, monitors and such. She snapped open the link to the Hall of Justice. "Heidi hi-hi, Torcon! What's shakin'?" As the message came over, Harley nodded. "Roger-roonie! Beaming commencing!" She flipped another switch. "Hey Hawkgirly, gotta new recruit for YJ! Need ya t' show the kid around the joint!" She turned back to the Hall of Justice, "Torcon? I need t' pick your mechanical brains. Jordy will be heading to Oh-Ay for some mandatory Green Lantern thingy, so I'm losing Stewie, too. PowerGirl just got arrested by power crazy DEO over that stupid meteor gods hammer thingy that fell in National City. Sending you all the info and monitored convo. I need to know who I can send. All that's left is like a buncha C, and D heroes and the new girly ya jus' sent us. I swear, Supes picked the absolute worstest time to pull his disappearin' act, I tell ya!"
Hal Jordan, meanwhile, was looking for John Stewart. "Ten minutes before we need to head to that mandatory Green Lantern Corps meeting, Marine. Where are you?" Those two always rode each other's cases teasingly, referring to each other by their branch of service. He was 'Air Force' to his best friend.

Oracle, Hornette and Ivy
Oracle, gave a 'not now' look at Canary as Hornette, holding her head, snarked, "I'm fine, thanks for asking."
"With your hard head, I figured that. That's why I didn't bother asking you." Oracle snarked back before turning back to Huntress. "Before you start... IVY is the one who screwed up the bust, although she did tie up the perp in vines, too. If you're able to get it together, I need you to take the perp in. Oh. And Karen Starr says 'Boo'." She looked at Canary. "Thanks for the assist on the batarang. I know she was trying to help, but she tied two of her teammates together. She's almost cost us this case with her out of control plants! She needs more seasoning and is going to Young Justice to learn control. That's all there is to it, that was her last foul-up on this team, oh, and by the way... You're the new Young Justice denmother."

PowerGirl, Kara and Lois
As PowerGirl fell weakened by the radiation of the Kryptonite, calling the DEO head a "male asshat" (let's face it. He was), Kara Kent couldn't see anything but red.
"You sick bastard!" Kara hissed and wasn't alone in her thoughts as a college cheerleader in her National University uniform screamed next, "How typical! You wouldn't know diplomacy if it was dropped on your head!" The two, without knowing it, started an uprising against DEOs abuse of power, as much of the crowd agreed with them and verbally said so.
Lois yanked away from the other agent. "Yeah, I've seen first hand how you treat 'citizens', sort it out your damned selves. And save it, I already know your damned routine!" She hissed storming out of the park and into town.
Kara, meanwhile, with a speed she didn't know she had, raced over to the head of the DEO. "I recognize you, you son of a bitch! YOU caused my Pa to have a heart-attack! Smallville, Kansas, asshole! Ten years ago! Remember?! Over a damned green rock!" She noticed the glowing green rock still in his hand that had caused PowerGirl to fall, and seeing her being led away, snatched the rock from him. Ignoring the pain it was causing her, she dropped the agent and heaved the rock three hundred yards and into the golf course's flagged hole #7. Dropping the man, she staggered back slightly, as guns all around her cocked. "Go ahead, you bastards. Kill an unarmed woman by shooting her in the back, and prove how much of a man you are to the remaining witnesses! I'm officially done with men, now, anyway! You lot make me sick!" Nobody fired, yet, and most were now looking to the ARGUS head agent for answers. This whelp of a girl just threw Kryptonite 300 yards (and made a hole in one without even trying), yet left the DEO agent she obviously met before (and hated), very much alive!*
Meanwhile, Lois walked a good two miles before she was calm enough to stop and catch her breath. She sent a text to Perry outlining everything including how Kara lost it and why, ending with, "Kara's most likely been shot dead by now."
Star City
Artemis, Erin Holmes, Elsa**, Mary Batson, Ember
Artemis and Erin exchanged looks as the battle was engaged. "Saw that coming. Excuse me a moment." Artemis said, getting up and readying a concussion arrow to shoot between the two of them as they separated.
Erin had escorted the shop owner back into the building where he would be safer and came back out just in time for the blue shield bubble to encase them. "Allow me, Archer." She cleared her throat whilst tapping her pipe, upside-down, against her heel to clear it. "That, my dear Blue Lantern, is precisely what I intend to do. Calm her down. I now know whom she is!" Setting it's stem back in her mouth, she called aloud to the Asgardian Princess. "Highness! You're better than she in manners! If you truly are as you claim, which the storm is evidence enough you are, wouldn't the Thunder god, your father, have sent you the mythological hammer as well? Forgive the butchering of the word as Norse mythos isn't my strong suit, mole-ner?"
Elsa had somehow been there long enough, unseen by anyone. Her correction of Holmes might actually get through to Torrun. "It's pronounced myol-near. Meow like a cat except use an L. Say it with me...." Slowly she again pronounced it correctly. "Me-ol-near."
Mary snapped her fingers as she took cover where the others were. "Of course! Norse mythology! It all makes sense now!" She yelled over the storm to Ravager. "Ravager, honey, you can't win against a true goddess! We had our asses handed to us by Loki! Do you REALLY think you have a chance against the offspring of the Norse God of Thunder?! Be reasonable!" She called to Nightstar next. "We learned the Greek gods are real because of Wonder Woman!" She stated, pointing to the Princess of Themyscria. "Why can't the Norse gods be real, too? Try diplomacy again, like Miss Holmes attempted!"
Ember was trying to start a fireball to throw if the second attempt at diplomacy failed.
(*-Kara was weakened, and even turned a little green from handling it, so she would feel the bullets hit, but not feel them bounce off. They'll hurt, much like if she had on a bullet proof vest, and she'll have nasty bruises, but otherwise unharmed
**- I originally intended not to use Elsa, but obviously her pronunciation knowledge of Norse mythology is going to be needed.)
Watch Tower:
Hawkgirl groaned as her comms went off and she punched a new dent in the bulkhead. She never seemed to get to spend time with her boyfriend, who had the presence of mind to duck when he noticed his girlfriend's annoyed sigh.
"Let me guess, duty calls?" John Stewart said calmly.
"Yeah... looks like I'm playing tour guide." Hawkgirl replied with a sigh.
"Well at least play nice." the Green Lantern replied with a chuckle as the pair left the storage closet. "Looks like I missed a call too." he added as they walked together towards the Boom-tube area.
"Let me guess, Green Lantern business? You don't have to answer that." Hawkgirl replied. Then entered the room, "What did you want Harley? And who's the newbie?" she commented as she noticed the girl she had never seen on the Watch Tower before.
Star City Nightstar, Ravager, & Torunn:
Nightstar groaned as she got up after being shoved down, her sleeve now torn and elbow bleeding as well as her right hand having a new scrap where her glove was still torn from before. "This is getting out of hand..." she muttered to herself as she stood and dusted herself off. "Has everyone forgotten we have a chain of command... I didn't order an attack guys... Atalanta, Comet... oh never mind... do what you want!" Nightstar snapped in annoyance as she watched the events unfold, and tried to figure out something that would stop this without escalating it anymore. Though with so many people trying to make suggestions or acting on their own, it was making it more difficult for the team leader to get control of the situation. This was just another reason she hadn't wanted to be leader in the first place.
As Comet hit Torunn she rolled back through the impact and got back to her feet, only for the concussion arrow to go of and blind her for a moment. A moment she used the blindly fire lightning bolt in the direction the arrow came from, but she missed. This meant the lightning bolt hit the Blue Lantern's shield, causing lightning to spark along the whole shield for a moment before it hit something metal to ground the electricity. Torunn didn't look like she was ready to back down, or that she was listening to the people trying to talk to her, not when she had some attacking her at the same time. In her mind this group weren't here to talk, if they were, they wouldn't have attacked her like the did. During her musing she heard the twang of a bow behind her and turned in time to cut a red arrow in half with her blade.
"Crap... that wasn't what I expected to happen..." said a woman dressed in red. She was wearing a suit that looked like a combo between Black Canary and Green Arrow's suits, but was red with yellow accents. "Always needing me to pull you out of trouble I see, Artemis." the woman said as she landed in a kneeling position with her left leg out to the side and one hand on the ground before standing up.
Nightstar noticed the arrival, "Speedy!? What's with the new suit?"
"It's Cardinal now... don't look at me like that, Your favorite Uncle* uses Red Bird when he flies solo so I couldn't use that... but come to think of it I don't like Cardinal either... But Mom and Dad don't think I should use Speedy anymore..." Speedy replied with a shrug. "So what kind of trouble has Young Justice gotten into this time?"
With the new arrival Torunn knew she was too out numbered to win this fight, so she decided to pull out one last move, and raised her sword above her head, calling forth a large lightning bolt. Speedy noticed this and felt the hairs on the back of her neck standing up as the electricity in the air built just before the lightning hit the blade. She also noticed a blur moving to her left and guess it must be one of the teams speedsters.
"Everyone get back!" Speedy shouted as she turned to her left and dove back, hoping to catch the speedster and pull her back out of the way too. She made the move just in time as Torunn drove her blade into the street, sending a shockwave of lightning in a 10 foot radius around herself. Ravager wasn't as luck as Speedy as she was hit by the shockwave and slammed back into the Blue Lantern's shield, hitting her head and falling into a heap at the base of the shield, unconscious, most likely with concussion.
After the attack Torunn stood for a moment, glaring at the group of girls, before her eyes rolled back and she fell backwards, her energy and adrenaline depleted. The trip through dimensions had taken it's toll on the girl, and the only thing that had kept her up for so long was the energy supplied by the storm, which continued to rage, though it was less violent now with out the influence of the daughter of the Thunder God. No one would be able to lift her sword, because it only answered to her.
"Is everyone alright?" Nightstar asked as she move forward to look around for everyone that wasn't protected by Rain's shield. Speedy slowly sat up, hoping she had caught the speedster in time, and not hurt her.

A black car soon pulled up at the scene and out of it stepped a tall dark skinned man who frowned at what he saw. "What is going on here? You know what I don't want to know. Agent Dolson, Agent Hill get this base set up and prepare for Star Lab's arrival. And if there are anymore incidents you'll both be out of a job." the man said in a deep voice.
"Yes Director... but you see we have..." Agent Dolson started.
"I already know what happened, I'm in charge of the scene now." the Director replied coolie. Then he turned to the troops that were with Power Girl and the now unconscious Kara. "Take both of them to the holding area, I'll be there shortly." the man added simply. Then he followed after Lois Lane, who had just received a reply from Parry asking what the hell she was doing out there and how she wasn't supposed to be causing riots. "Ms Lane, please come with me." the man said in a calm voice. The man's voice would sound very familiar to Lois and Power Girl, though he didn't look familiar.
Gotham City Huntress & Batgirl:
Helena rubbed her head as she got up with a sigh and a groan. "With all due respect Oracle... Hornette needs just as much training, she shouldn't even be on this team. She should be riding the bench for the Titans." Huntress replied as she dusted herself off, "Ivy's mistake was just a miscalculation, and we still caught your impostor. You know they say impersonation if she sincerest form of flattery. But seriously, Hornette could have just as easily messed the mission up by blindly rushing into the smoke instead of waiting for an opportunity to make a move."
Meanwhile, Batgirl was getting a bit annoyed at being ignored, "Hello... I'm still here! Come on guys I'm on your side... I mean sure I took the suit... but I mean... Gotham needs Batgirl..." she was trying to get herself out of trouble, but it probably wasn't working. Though Huntress was pretty impressed by what she had seen of the girl's skills. Besides not just anyone could hack the Batcave, that list was very short, and included Oracle and Nightwing, and maybe Nightstar.
Perma and WW
Freya was pacing back and forth her hands balled up beside her as she was forced to watch the battle. The girl was strong and she could control the storms flying around them she had to be of the gods she just had to be, finally, there might be someone who understood her. Wonder Woman watched with disapproval Nightstar was just letting her team run all over the place instead of calling out and getting them in control. As the girl called out she brought her sword down and smashed it into the ground creating a wave of electricity that smashed into the other girls knocking some of them out, but for the most part, most of them were able to protect themselves. Shaking her head she made her way forward after ordering Freya to stay back, stepping up to Nightstar she growled out "What was that NightStar, you're the leader here and yet your team did whatever they wanted. Now the battle is over you have injured and a girl who we need to figure out what to do with so get to it and prove you deserve your station." She huffed and nodded before stepping back once more
Comet Cera yelped as the lightning flashed and danced down from the sky but she managed to dodge it and watched as it crackled along the shield Rain had thrown up. Shaking her head she dashed forward aiming to slam into the Norse woman again only for her to break an arrow and then bringing her sword up streaked with lighting and slamming it down into the ground. She gasped as she was hit by a rolling wave of electricity that tossed her into the wall of a nearby building. She groaned out as she sat up her hair fritzed out "She is not a nice lady that was an unpleasant experience."
Atalanta Continued to zip this way and that helping where she could and dodging any stray bolts that would fly towards her. At the same time, she was aiming to be a bit of a distraction so that the woman would hopefully focus on her and not some of her friends. After a while of doing that she was able to notice the new woman and the rising blade and as she drew near the new woman she jumped at her and tackled Atalanta so that they rolled until they crashed into one of the parked cars. "Wh what was that for and who are you," It was then that the wave passed over them but thanks to her quick actions the pair of them were safe.
Blue Lantern Managed to hold the shield up through the brunt of the Asgard girls attacks but the last one was something else not to mention the mercenary being slammed into it. So once everything was settled she let it fall away and suddenly they were all wet as the rain was allowed to fall again. Sighing she dropped to her knees panting "Ahh give me a moment and I'll have you guys as good as new just need to rest." She smiled giving a thumbs up as she rested for the moment.
Black Canary
Raised her hands up and chuckled as Oracle stared her down but then she went on to explain. "I mean there wasn't much she could do, she couldn't see and was trying to help. She did better than those two who despite both being in the same situation are fighting like cats and dogs."
Alina managed to reply before Harley could, albeit nervously she managed to speak up. She knew that a hero was someone who needed to be able to demand respect, so she did her best to portray that.
”I, my name is Alina! and I was sponsored to join the young justice league!” she managed to blurt out before retreating back into her nervous shell.
”I mean umm, if you say it's okay, I umm think there us a test or something for me? I am not sure Red Tornado sent me up” she explained.
”That’s right, and you need to send her through the wringer. I am stuck up here till Oriole gets back!” Harley spoke up.
”Haha, don't do anything I wouldn't do!”
Erin and Mary both wondered if they were ghosts, as neither was heeded. Finally, as Artemis gave Speedy... Or rather Cardinal as she wanted to be called... A look of friendly disdain, Erin spoke aloud, again. "I say! NOW that you lot are FINALLY finished fighting amongst yourselves will you all please sit and have some tea?!"
Artemis grumbled, "If someone had been paying attention, I was all for that, from the getgo... It was Ravager that wanted to start a fight with a Norse goddess! Way to go... Spitfire!"
Erin through up her hands. "And that is precisely why your leader gave up on you lot and let you find out the hard way. No offense Princess Diana of Themyscria... Yes, I know who you are, in fact I also know this is the third installment of the Young Justice team as well. Moreover, I personally applaud Nightstar for letting you... Knuckleheads learn the hard way, and I certainly do hope you lot have learned a valuable lesson." She stared down Ravager, but also the others who jumped in head first.
Mary, still unable to change to Lady Shazam said, "I got stripped of my powers for 24 hours for not using my head. Someone could have lost their life this time."
"Someone get the Norse Thunder goddess out of the bloody rain before she catches her death." Holmes said calmly, "Now... Perhaps... We can be civilized, and find out what brings Thor's offspring to... Uhh... Midgard, I believe they call Earth."
With all the excitement over (for the most part) Ember powered down and glomp hugged Speedy... Or rather Cardinal, in a tight embrace. "Your Fireball missed you, Speedy.... Just like I'll always be Fireball to you, you'll always be Speedy to me." She separated from her hug and looked to see where Nightstar was.
Mary finally answered Speedy. "Two words, Cardinal, in regards to the trouble we're in. Norse mythology. We already fought Loki, or rather a woman with the powers of Loki, or Loki in the guise of a woman. And now Thor's daughter, although all my knowledge of Norse mythology leaves me at a loss to how."
"And that, Watson, is precisely why we should have been civil with her from the onset." Holmes didn't seem at all like she was pleased one iota.

Hornette, Ivy, Oracle
"We've been over this, Huntress. She's undercover, and you know what her cover is; but neither her dad nor the commissioner want her off doing things on her own! We are the best team for her because we both know what'll happen to her if she was on Suicide Squad. You want Green Hornet Senior breathing down your neck, go ahead. Make your complaint. Probably the only one who might listen is Katherine Spencer... The DA, who she also works for."
Hornette and Ivy seemed to be the only ones hearing the Batgirl wannabe. Hornette, likewise had been impressed with her abilities. Looking at the faux Batgirl she said calmly, "I'll try to talk to Oracle, but you see where I stand with a certain member, so don't hold your breath."
The Birds of Prey were really the only team that went after the mobs and not a lot of supervillains, although they had their share. Ivy had a better chance against the likes of Lady Loki than Hornette did.
Watchtower
Green Lantern Jordan, Star Girl
When Hal finally saw John Stewart, he was making his way back to the Boomtubes. "There you are, we better power up for the long flight to Oa. We've got a good bunch of parsecs and scant time to do it. Harley! Open the hangar door for us, hear?"
Star Girl, was not happy with being considered a class C or D hero. "Harley, you C class ex-supervillain! How DARE you lump me in with the likes of Plasticman and Booster Gold! I PAID my dues and have the lumps to prove it!"
National City
Kara Kent, Lois Lane, PowerGirl
Lois managed to get in, "Perry. Incite nothing. Government shut us down and injured PowerGirl! There. Is. No. Story. Just like any other time. Got it Chief? Nothing to see in National City. No story!" To say Lois was pissed about the wasted time and effort of the Daily Planet... Again... Was an understatement. She slapped her phone shut, and looked at the ARGUS Director. Sighing some, she just threw her hands in the air. "Fine. Seeing as you're the Director, but you also heard what I just told Perry. You were probably there all along."
Kara got lit up by tasers. Not knowing the Kryptonite had actually affected her a little bit, she, thinking about three tasers hitting her was a bit extreme. She collapsed in a heap unconscious, clothes and hair smoldering.
PowerGirl was barely aware of her surroundings, and was starting to get some of her strength back, thanks to Kara throwing the glowing green rock. She decided to play possum, aware that Harley would have sent everything that happened to the Hall of Justice. She hoped Superman showed up, although she hated to admit as his "cousin" she needed his help, not knowing he'd be more pissed they hit his sister! Even if that information had never been told to Kara Kent... Fully. She didn't know her brother Clark was also Kal-El of Krypton and she was Kara Jor-El, also from Krypton.
Watch Tower:
Hawkgirl arched an eyebrow as the girl answered, she kind of liked this one's attitude, but before she could answer Star Girl burst in causing Hawkgirl to sigh. "Give it a rest kid, we've heard the same story a dozen times." she commented before turning back to the new arrival. "Test? Isn't Zatanna responsible for Young Justice? Oh well, I suppose I've got nothing better to do." she added as she glanced towards John before turning and leading the way towards the Young Justice area of the station. "Follow me kid, you're going to run the obstacle course. And don't get the wrong idea, it's not just any course. You'll not only gave to navigate the course but also avoid traps and face holographic enemies. And that doesn't mean they can't hurt ya, we use a hard-light technology so you get hit, and it's gonna feel like getting hit with a stun-gun. Take enough hits and you'll be down for the count and find yourself in the medbay." as Hawkgirl talked she lead the way to the entrance to the course, stopping just outside the door. "Any questions? If not you can go in." she added as she moved to the control room, which had an observation deck.
Star City: Nightstar, Ravager, Torunn:
Nightstar watching the aftermath of the fight for a moment before Wonder Woman approached her, and frowned at the lecture. "Yeah, well I never wanted to be the team leader in the first place!" she snapped back to the Amazonian Princess. Though as others came to her defense she sighed and calmed down a little, "Yeah, I suppose that about sums things up." she added with a shrug before turning back to survey the scene.
Speedy or Cardinal slowly got up as she heard the speedster's comment. "Didn't you just hear me? I'm Cardinal... or Speedy... just pick one. And I was saving your neck." she added as she pointed towards the other girls that had been knocked down by the electrical shockwave. Before she had much more time she was glumped by Ember. "Yeah you'll always be the kid who we had to keep saving at Gotham Academy." Speedy replied with a small laugh before turning towards the others, her expression serious again.
Nightstar sighed as she walked towards Ravager, who was still unconscious, "Ravager is down, probably has a concussion check her first Blue then check on our opponent. We'll need to move them both to the Tower as soon as possible, but if you can help it, don't wake the latter, we don't need another fight." she said calmly before looking around once more. Atalanta, if you're okay check for any civilians in the area that might have gotten hurt, Ember go with her. Comet check in with Blue when you get a chance, your suit is smoking a bit, but it might be your hair."
As Nightstar gave her orders Speedy had made her way towards the unconscious girl in the street and was looking at the sword still stuck in the ground. "I wonder what this is made of, I've never seen anything like it." she commented as she tried to pull it free and found it didn't budge. "Whoa... heavy..." she commented with a whistle. "To bad Lady Marvel is on ice, maybe she has the strength to lift it." she added as she looked at Mary before turning her attention towards Nightstar who had just turned to the rather out of place woman.
"Look Ms.... this is a League matter, so... while I appreciate your concern, I think we can take care of this from here. Besides you don't have clearance for the Watch Tower and once I'm sure you're the only civilian in the area and there aren't any more injuries we'll be going back there." Nightstar said calmly. She wasn't really dismissing the woman, though she did find her rather odd, and wondered how she knew about Wonder Woman, she didn't have time to find out. There were more important things, like the health of her team and getting what could be a dangerous threat out of the area before she regained consciousness.
National City
The Director didn't answer Lois' comment about him being there the whole time. He had eavesdropped a little, but that was just a side effect of his good hearing. When the DEO had started it's deployment he had gotten curious but waited until it looked like there would be trouble before intervening. Which was why he was too late to stop what had happened. It was also why he was only just sending a message to Harley not to send anyone, the situation was under control now. The Director lead Lois to the holding cells where Kara and Power Girl were. He told the guards to leave them, then waited until they were out of ear shot.
"Was it really necessary to escalate the situation Karen?" he asked calmly as he opened the cell doors. "The DEO was simply setting up a perimeter around the object, we don't know how dangerous it could be. Humans can't handle radiation like we can." he added. The man was talking like he wasn't human himself, and given what had happened to both Kara and Power Girl that was probably even more confusing since most of the league didn't know about his connection to the DEO. "I can see you're are confused, I forgot you do not often see this side of me, but you all know me. Yes even you Ms. Lane. I am J'onn J'onzz, or as you human's pronounce it, Jonn Jones. I am also known as The Martian Manhunter." as the man spoke he shifted into the appearance of a Detective that Lois had meet more then once, before changing into his normal Martian Manhunter appearance.
"However aside from the object. You, young Kara seemed to be more then you appear, much like myself and Power Girl. I believe this is only the beginning for you my dear." he commented as he turned towards the youngest of the group.
Gotham City Huntress, Batgirl:
Huntress didn't like Oracle's answer at all, and it showed, "Wrong, you're Team Leader, you make the call on who's on the team and who isn't. You know as well as I the Titans are the best place to train up newbies" she snapped, but didn't go as far as to get into the red-head's face. Instead she scoffed. "Fine if you're too scared to stand up to a D-class wannabe hero, then maybe I will go have a word with them." she replied as she turned on her heels and walked towards the edge of the roof. "Nice seeing you again Canary, have fun with Young Justice and let Nightstar know she's ready to be a leader, she just needs to stop being worried about living up to her parents, they cast a big shadow." she commented, if anyone would know about "big shadows" cast by parents it would be her. In her universe she was the daughter of Catwoman and Batman, two of the biggest names in Gotham City. Then without another word she jumped off the roof and shot a zip-line towards the next building and was off.
Batgirl arched an eyebrow at the girl whom was talking to her, "Who are you anyway?" she honestly didn't know who this girl was, and Rachael knew who most of the Justice League Members were, even the C/D class Star Girl**. Her attention turned from the girl in green to the other Birds of Prey as Huntress left the scene, "Wait, the daughter of Nightwing and Starfire is still on the B team!? How isn't she a full League member by now?" The new Batgirl commented rather loudly, reminding everyone she was still tied up and waiting for Oracle and the other Birds of Prey to judge her.

((carry over notes from last post: *For those who don't know, as the daughter of Dick Grayson, who was adopted by Bruce Wayne, like all the other Robins and of course there are his biological children; Damion Wayne and Helena Wayne. That makes Red Hood/Jason Todd, Red Robin/Tim Drake, and Damion Wayne/Robin/Red Bird Nightstar's uncle, and Helena Wayne/Huntress her aunt. The Favorite uncle comment is directed at Nightstar because she constantly teases Damion because they are close to the same age, and she's pretty much the only one he'll listen to besides Bruce and Dick without complaining about it. Also on that same thread Huntress isn't much older then Nightstar herself, which is why she doesn't refer to Nightstar as "My Niece" in this post.
Also if ya'll can't tell I'm not a huge fan of the Green Hornet >.> Kato was the real hero of the show, go Bruce Lee!
Notes for this post: **I had to do it Princess, you set it up so perfect in your post ))
Freya and WW WWs eyes flashed as the girl before her grumbled saying how she hadn't even wanted to be the leader. "That's just to bad, you were chosen as the leader so you need to lead. I understand you think Artemis is more fit, but the problem with her is she tends to be a loner and a bit brash with the newer girls. You were the best choice you can lead now you need to show this team what the heroes know you can do." She shook her head then pointed at the woman who continued to yammer on "You need to step back ma'am this is hero business and you have no place being here and distracting these young heroes. I understand you are trying to help but what you really did was create a conflict of command so hush up and let them be." She growled and moved back to Frey who was chomping at the bit to go see the knocked out woman, while that wasn't Mjolnir the fact that they couldn't lift it meant it was near enough and just more evidence for this girl being who she said.
Atlanta Slowly stood up and brushed her pants off as she turned to look at the other girl and blushed some as she nodded "Oh um right sorry just the whole thing surprised me. I'm Atalanta thanks for your help." She smiled some as she rubbed the back of her head and then stepped out of the way when the archer was attacked by the firestarter. Shaking her head she gave Night star a nod "Can do Captain." She flashed her a smile before taking off moving up and down the street and checking all the nooks and crannies for anyone that she might have missed in her earlier run through.
Comet
Groaned and stood up stretching her arms some and rubbing her shoulder and arm checking for anything that might be hurt. "Hmm I think I am the ok." She glanced to the side where the smoke was coming from "Ahh that is me yes my powers must of went off when the building and I met." She chuckled and quickly moved to put out the small fire and then nodding she started to float gently moving over to the Blue lantern girl. "I believe I am the ok but Nightstar says to get checked out so here I am."
Blue Lantern Smiled as she glanced around making sure she was good to go before she glanced up at Nightstar and gave her a nod "No problem although how quickly they wake up is really up to them and the pace at which their body accepts my healing powers." She smiled and moved over to Ravager where she leaned down her hand on her head and then with a sigh she expended a flash of power that would encompass the girls body in a shield of blue. She kneeled there for a moment longer before nodding and hopping up then walking over towards the knocked out girl stopping over her she kneeled down and did much the same to her. Finally she stepped up to Cera and quickly gave her a jolt of power "Ahh all good if anyone else needs help that's what I'm here for hehe."
Black Canary Raised a brow at everyone's reactions but she kept out of it for a moment "Will do although you should probably let her know that yourself."
