Rune groaned. "No! I don't want that." he shook his head and poked his belly a bit more. "Hear that? Do NOT come out like uncle Relic. He's a masochistic bubbly man who has a sadistic side that isn't neat like mine. No. You do not come out like him."

Tomias sighed and squished his lover's cheeks together, smiling a little more. "It will be fine. Before we try for another one, we can have Jupiter run some tests to be sure that it will not happen again. All right?"

He nodded and rested his forehead against Tomias'. They would put off leaving until they saw Jupiter, who would be over to see Rune the next day anyway. The brunette hugged his husband tightly, scared even though he had nothing to be scared about just yet. When Tomias was pregnant, Nikkos knew that he'd be a complete nervous wreck.

When Jupiter had finished examining Rune (he was fine), the doctor moved over to give Tomias a look over. He was thorough, considering the man's last pregnancy, and had really been hoping for a better result than what he got. After Tomias had dressed, he sat them both down. "Your pregnancy with Nikko really took a toll on your body, Tomias..."

Tomias sat down, fingers lacing with Nikkos's and he stared at the doctor. His features slowly dropping as he heard his words. He... He could not mean what he was thinking. "But... So I can't have a kid?" He asked, his free hand moving to rest on his stomach, gripping the fabric there tightly as he kepth is gaze to his.

Nikkos gripped Tomias' hand tightly. Jupiter would have told them right away if everything was fine, and the doctor didn't look very enthusiastic. The brunette's heart was beating hard and fast in his chest, scared for the answers that were coming.

Shaking his head, Jupiter sighed a little. "No... Probably..." He paused for words, but there were only two that would describe it. "Probably not ever, Tomias... You can easily get pregnant, but to do so... I can't guarantee that you'd survive the first trimester." His voice had dropped to barely a whisper. While he loved to torture his family, this was never something he'd joke about.

Tomias blinked a few more times before he looked at Nikkos then back to the other. "S-so um... I can't?" He said, nodding a few times and his heart beat a bit faster. "What about Nikkos? Am... I still fertile in that aspect? And what if I wind up getting pregnant? I can't just assume Nikkos is going to take it up the ass for the rest of eternity. That... That's horrible. And I like it too! So ... what if a condom breaks or something? Or he doesn't pull out quick enough? I... And I get pregnant? That mean I'm going to die?!"

He tried his best to answer the questions. "Whatever spell you used to create the ability to get pregnant, you can try to reverse it... But seeing as it seems to pass to your children... There are potions and pills that will keep you from getting pregnant, but should be used with condoms. I'll leave some with you and then a prescription for more." Jupiter studied both men, especially Nikkos who was now curled up in Tomias' lap, obviously having turned in on himself. "Conceiving won't kill you, no. But...it will have to be dealt with quickly. I... I think your mental health will be better off if you don't wind up pregnant, though..." He reached across and patted Nikkos' knee. "We're working on it... Your family was the first to be so successful with that spell, and no one ever expected these complications. After Nikko's birth, we began working on ways to effectively sterilize the ability for you to give birth, without destroying your ability to get your husband pregnant." Jupiter had faith...even if the final answer was decades off.

Tomias closed his eyes and his arms wrapped around Nikkos a little tighter. He pressed his head into the crook of his neck, nuzzling him a few times and slowly beginning to rock their forms back and forth to try and comfort his husband. "okay... thank you, Jupiter." he whispered and pressed his head against his husband a little bit more, kissing his cheek and neck and forehead - anywhere he could really have easy access to. "It's going to be okay, Nikkos. I promise you. We'll be okay. We can adopt for now! We haven't done that in centuries. They're always so cute and happy to go home with rich parents. How about that? Hm? We can go on our little vacation then come back, or oh! Go to Australia with those boys and get some cute bunny babies." He giggled, trying to lighten the mood.

Nodding, Jupiter left the potions and prescription on the dresser (with instructions) and left the pair to take in the devastating information. He wished he hadn't had to give it...

Nikkos sniffled a little and curled tighter into his husband's side. His head shot up before Jupiter left, though. "You-you never answered. He can still get me pregnant, right?" he asked, using the back of his hand to wipe the tears that were falling down his cheeks.

He smiled. "Yes. Yes you can still safely get pregnant, Nikkos." Jupiter gave them one last smile and left.

Looking up at Tomias, Nikkos just nuzzled into his lover's neck, soaking in the strength that Tomias offered. He felt bad, because it was him who should be comforting Tomias, but he couldn't help but feel that he'd nearly killed his husband.

Tomias smiled. "See? There's no need for tears, love." He whispered and wiped the tears away from his eyes "For now, we'll use condoms and potions to make sure I don't get pregnant. We'll find out how to reverse it on me... And in the mean time, you can have a baby and I really kinda like the idea of adopting one. Then neither of us go through labor." he giggled and kissed his lips softly. Standing up with him, he began to sway him from one side to the other as he walked to the bed to lay him down. "Let's just sleep, okay?" Especially because that way he could just crumble and sob to himself whil ehis lover slept.

Nikkos crawled into bed and waited for Tomias to do the same. The brunette quickly moved behind his husband and hugged him tightly. It was instinct, after knowing Tomias for as long as he had. He knew that his husband was strong, but was devastated. He was going to be there for Tomias the way his lover had been for him every other time. "No," he whispered, sniffling a little. "No, because you're not going to grieve by yourself."

Tomias let out a soft laugh, his arms wrapping around the other's that were around his torso. "Jerk... you know me too well." He laughed and curled up, burying his face into Nikkos's hands and letting out the tears that he had been holding back to keep his lover strong. He slowly turned and buried his face into his chest and he nuzzled him a few more times before he sunk into him some more. "I love you, Nikkos. I love you so much. We... Wee are going to get through this. And we... we'll be fine."

"I know," he answered, kissing Tomias' forehead as he hugged him close and cried with him. He was nearly cried out an hour later, and the brunette leaned down to kiss his lover's lips. "Lets go to Serenity tomorrow," he suggested in a soft whisper. "We need to heal before we can bring another kid into our family." They could head to Australia after they felt better...after a week or two.

Tomias took in a deep breath and leaned up to kiss his lips. "I like that idea. A lot." He whispered and then slid his fingers up and along his torso then wrapped his arms around his hips and he yawned. Laying into him, he nuzzled a little more then settled down once more. "Okay. Tomorrow we go. The whirlpool bath should be finished by now, too."

Rune's pregnancy had been a false alarm, and Calder was a little relieved. He loved their children, but a few years in between wouldn't be horrible, either. And besides, he was getting restless. The blond had been doing some research and had printed out a few houses that he found in Northern Ireland. It'd be a nice change of pace. After all, they'd been in Italy for at least a century or more. Starting over would be fun! The blond came up behind his husband and hugged him around his middle. "What would you say if I suggested we move?" he asked innocently, fingers drawing patterns on his lover's chest and stomach.

Rune looked down at his love, eyes staying with his form and he shrugged his shoulders a little. He leaned down and kissed the top of his head before he thought for a moment. "Yeah sure. We can move. What are you thinking? Down the road? In town would be nice. We can get a nice penthouse suite." He offered while biting into an apple, turning in the embrace to look at his love to see just what he would want.

"Um...a little further?" Calder knew this wasn't going to go over well... "Like... Ireland?" He pushed on, not letting Rune answer. "It's so pretty there and we've been here so long and it'll be a nice change of scenery and I looked at some houses online and they're really nice and we could come back on the weekends or for vacations and the schools there are just as good as Atlantis or Prometheus..." He looked up at his husband, chocolate eyes pleading with him.

Rune stared at him before he laughed. "Honey. I'm not going to Ireland. I haven't been away for my brother for more than our trips to Avalon, and I"m not starting now. We'd start coming here on weekends and vacations then it'd slowly stop. So no. I'm not moving to Ireland." He said simply, not wanting to talk about it. Even think about it. He was NOT going to move to Ireland. He refused to leave his brother.

"But... But it'll be good for us! To be on our own and create our own identities, instead of being Rune and Calder and Relic and Tanner and Tomias and Nikkos... We need that, Rune!" He wasn't going to give up so easily. "And visits will only stop if you stop them. You can pick up and go for a weekend without me..." Calder stepped away to breathe for a minute. "This is something that I want, Rune. It's something that we both need... Relic is your twin but he's not you and you need to cut the cord a little!"

Rune arched a brow, the apple no longer being brought to his mouth to munch on. He placed the fruit down and snorted. "I have my own identity. Or do you feel like you're married to Relic? Just because I don't want to move thousands of miles away from my brother, my literal other half doesn't mean I'm being unreasonable! I have cut the cord. I cut it when I married you! You agreed to live with Relic and Tanner in teh other half of the house! You said it would be fine! I'm not moving to fucking Ireland and leaving my brother."

"And it was!" he argued, getting frustrated now. "But that was a century ago, Rune! I feel like we're the young couple who's been living with family because it's easier than being out on our own, and now it's time to move on. It's not like I'm asking you to not talk to him. I'm just asking you to grow a pair for once!" As soon as he said it, he'd known it was the wrong thing to say. Calder really hadn't meant to say it, but he was angry that this was such a fight.

Rune's hands clenched into tight fists. "WHAT?!" He hissed, growling as he glared at the other. "GROW a pair?! I HAVE a fucking pair! Just because I don't want to leave where I"m comfortable doesn't mean that I am some fucking pansy! I'm NOT leaving my god-damned brother to go live with some fucking gingers in a goddamned green country! I'm staying HERE! You want to move there, FINE! GO fucking move to Ireland Look up Val. GO fuck him again! I'm sure he'd love. HE has quite the pair of balls, I'm sure!" He growled and threw the apple out into the garbage and walked past him.

"That's not what I meant!" he called after him, turning around quickly. "AND I NEVER FUCKED HIM YOU ASS!" Okay so maybe that wasn't the best thing to say, either. Calder was angry now, both at himself and at Rune. He didn't understand. He didn't understand why Rune wouldn't go when he knew that they had unlimited funds to visit whenever he wanted.

"THEN GO FUCK YOURSELF!" He yelled back before sliding into his car and roaring off down the street after the screech of tires filled the air. He rushed off to one of the bars, skidding the car to a stop and stepped out. Huffing and walking to the bar, ordering a bottle of ... something. He had no idea what it was. He poured himself a glass. After glass. After glass. Until his vision literally became blurry. He had no idea what was happening. Even as he was grinding and dancing with some gorgeous blond that he chatted up. He held the other and it was not long until the two left.

In the morning, Rune groaned. His head pounded. His ass hurt. Everything hurt. He why did it feel like there was something on his skin? Because there was! Combination of semen and blood. He arched a brow, looking at the marked up man beside him and freezing. That was not Calder. "Oh fuck." He hissed, the very words causing quite the pain in his head. He poked the other, seeing him groan and curl up and he sighed. At least he hadn't killed him. Falling out of the bed, he lazily pulled on his clothes before making his way home.

He stumbled into the house and hobbled to the kitchen, rubbing his lower back as he took some water and aspirin.

The night had been restless for Calder. He'd been sure that Rune would come back, and had even checked in with Relic a few times to see if Rune had gone there instead. Nothing. The blond was worried sick, and had sat up in the living room all night, listening for his husband's car while thinking about everything. He wanted to move. But maybe he could get Rune to compromise to a vacation house first... He'd fallen into a very light sleep at some point, but the door closing had woken him. The blond rushed into the kitchen, and skidded to a stop when he saw Rune. The blond didn't say anything, but his eyes questioned Rune.

Rune turned to look at Calder and he groaned. "Damnit." He whispered, his torso falling onto the countertop. He had no more power left in him to hold himself up. "Calder... I'm a piece of shit." He mumbled and buried his face into his arms, still trying to get over the throbbing in his whole body. "Two bottles of Jack and a blond I thought was you... I.. oh gods Calder.... I'm so sorry." He whispered and braced himself for the inevitable pain he would feel. Either just from the other yelling, or from physically being hurt by the other.
