Calder rushed to follow. The blond shook his head at his husband. "Help him. I'll get the chairs, and after Relic is comfortable and sitting, he and I are going to have a long talk that he is in no way ready for but needs to hear if his marriage is going to survive this." He leaned up and kissed Rune before moving to get a comfy arm chair and an extra bed to set up in the room for Relic. Calder wasn't sure what he was going to say to Relic, but knew that his brother-in-law needed to know how Tanner had been after his first attack; the other man needed to know that it had taken months for Tanner to allow Calder to even hold his hand, and it had taken longer for his friend to stop jumping when someone accidentally brushed against him. He couldn't remember how long the nightmares had carried on for, or what he'd threatened the male with to get him to go outside again.

Once everything was set up, Calder sat on the extra bed and waited for Relic, knowing that the worst was yet to come and hoping that Tanner's long marriage to Relic would make everything so much better...

Relic whimpered softly and pulled his knees to his chest. He hated this whole thing. He pulled his knees closer while he slowly rocked back and forth, heart racing a bit as he did so. He slowly turned to Calder when he came back. He stared at the man, eyes closing for a while before he took in a deep breath. He turned to look at him once more. "So... What.. What do you have to tell me?" He asked, rubbing his knees quite a few times and trying to calm himself from jumping out a window.

Calder moved over and sat next to Relic, hugging the man in sympathy. He went through the last time this had happened, knowing that the worst case scenario sucked, but at least it would prepare the other man for what might be coming. "But he's going to be okay, Relic," he offered at the end. "Jupiter said so, and he's a good doctor, yeah?" He signed and stood up, not sure what else could be done in that moment. "Do you want us to stay? Tanner will probably sleep through the night. We can go downstairs and have some tea?"

Relic could not believe all this. He just could not. His lover was on the bed, beaten and raped by multiple people, and he could not do anything to help him. He slowly looked up at Calder. "Stay.' He whispered while pulling his legs closer, fingers traveling over his long legs and rubbing the flesh every so often. "I... I don't want to be alone. And.. I don't want him to wake up alone either." He bit his lip, looking up at him with quite the lost look. "Calder... You have to help me! And... and make sure he won't be lost forever..."

Sighing once more, Calder nodded and kissed Relic's temple. "Come on. He's going to sleep for a long while yet. You need to eat something." The blond stood and held his hand out for Relic to take. Besides, it wasn't good for the man to sit here and worry so much.

Poking his head into the room, Jupiter surveyed the scene and groaned. He didn't want to be the bearer of more bad news!! The doctor tugged at Rune's shirt sleeve. At least he could tell him when and how he should tell Relic!!

Rune looked over at Jupiter, staring at him for a while before he stood up and stepped outside of the room with him, seeing Relic be dragged into the kitchen on the other side. He then led him over to the living room so that they could talk. "Yea?"

Well this was much scarier than he'd thought it would be. Jupiter whimpered slightly and handed over the lab results. "Bottom of the page..."

Calder sat Relic down and moved to make tea. It was the best he could do right now outside of asking Jupiter to drug him, too. And they both knew that Relic wouldn't consent to such things anyway. The blond set the mug down in front of the other man and sat down next to him with his own. "He's strong, Relic. He'll come out okay."

Rune sighed softly as he took the results. He paused as he read the familiar results that he saw quite a bit in his own life. He stared at the page for a while, head lifting to the man then back to the page, repeating the action a few times then finally handing the pages over to him. "I... I will tell him." He whispered, biting his bottom lip. "And... you're sure it's from this? Not just ... excess of Relic?"

Relic sighed and leaned over, head resting on Calder's shoulder, whimpering lightly as he did so.

He wanted to kiss Rune when he said that he would tell Relic, but the question came too soon and he had to tell the truth. "No... He's not very far along...but he's the only one of any of you who's never been pregnant before. I... Relic will have to answer some really tough questions for me to know for certain. And even then, it's a matter of a week or less. I don't know that there is a way for us to know for certain..." Jupiter felt horrible giving such news, but he couldn't lie, either. "It's...going to complicate things. Tanner will have to have check ups if..." Jupiter left the thought hanging, and chewed on his bottom lip.

Rune stared at the sheets some more, remembering the conversations with his brother and he sighed a little more heavily. "Relic hasn't been able to... top yet." he murmured, knowing how much that basically killed his love, but he never minded. He looked up at the other and sighed. "Just... go think of ways to make this better for Tanner."

While there was nothing that was going to make it better for Tanner, Jupiter nodded. Rune knew the choices: give birth and place up for adoption, give birth and keep the baby or abort. It would be a tough decision for both men.

Calder hugged Relic closely as they sat in the kitchen, not saying anything. There wasn't really much that could be said, anyway. Nothing said would make this have never have happened. "Do you want to eat something, Relic?" he offered, carding his fingers through the man's hair.

Rune moved and sat next to his brother. He pulled him into a tight hug, kissing the top of his head and relaxing after a few moments before he kissed him once more. "Relic... Er. I have really bad news." He stated and then moved through the pages to get the results. "Tanner um... He's pregnant." He whispered, not really wanting to tell him, but knowing he basically had to. And fast. He did not want him to be caught off guard.

Relic laughed before he looked back down at the pages, his mind working a mile a minute. He quickly went from one thing to another and the tears started up again. "MY BABY!" He cried, hands colliding with his face and he whimpered a little bit more.

Groaning, Calder stood up to pour everyone a stiffer drink. This was not going to go over well...maybe worse than the rape itself. The blond handed each man a glass of whiskey and sipped his own, too. He hated not knowing what was going to happen. The sudden screams from upstairs didn't help, either. The blond (literally) dropped his glass and took off for the stairs, taking them two at a time.

Relic was faster than Calder. He was only a stair or two ahead, but that only increased when he got clsoer "Tanner! I'm coming!" He chimed and skidded into the room. He fell onto his hands and knees then crawled over to the side of the bed, moving closer to the edge and he straightened his form so that he could look over it at the man. "Tanner?"

The blond skidded to a stop in the doorway and watched for signs of (more) trouble.

There was someone close to him... That was all that registered in his brain as Tanner scrambled back and away, curling into a tight ball in the furthest corner of the bed. The blond didn't know where he was or who had brought him here. "No! Go away! GO AWAY!" He couldn't fight them-he'd tried. This was his last resort, though it wasn't much of one.

Relic gasped and stood up, stepping away from him a little. "Tanner, sweetie, it's me. It's Relic." He said, eyes staying with the other, not quite sure what to do. And the look that he gave Calder showed that. He needed help. He obviously would not be able to do much in the way of helping him if the man was freaking out when he was only near him.

Moving forward, Calder stood behind Relic. "Just keep talking to him... Tell him things only you would know." He patted Relic's shoulder. "He's in his head. He doesn't know you're here." He'd seen it a dozen times or more, and the only he'd gotten to work was talking.

"No! No you're lying! DON'T LIE!" Tanner scooted back further. "Relic wouldn't hurt me like this!"

Relic pulled a chair closer to the bed and sat down beside him. "okay..." He whispered then sat down and scooted a bit closer to the other. "Tanner. It is me. I would not hurt you. I did not hurt you like that. Hell, I get worried when I pinch your nipples." He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck a few times, sighing lightly as he did so. "It's me, Tanner. It's really me. I..." he let out a little giggle, shaking his head a few times. "You know me, Tanner. I would not hurt you. I don't like to shed blood, unless it's my own." He looked up at the man. "And... and I ..." he giggled. "I keep trying to get you to wear one of my dresses, but you keep telling me that your legs would not look good in a skirt."

"I... WHO TOLD YOU THAT? Where's Relic?!" Only Relic knew those things, and Tanner was terrified that these men had his husband. The blond was angry, and despite any pain, he leaped forward without much warning, hands going for any part on the body that he could reach, clawing and even trying to bite. Being in survival mode was one thing, but now they had Relic! "Where is he!?"

"baby!" Relic took his hands which attached to his thighs. He looked up at him. "I'm right here." He whispered, kissing his forehead and then gripping his hands as he looked into his eyes. "It's me!" He took one of the hands and set it against his chest where the nipple ring could be felt then the side of his neck, everything - other than probably the most convincing part of him between his thighs. "See? It's me. It's ME!" He whimpered and cupped the other's chin. "Kiss me and you'll see. It's me! I would never lie to you. They're gone! They're really gone." Not dead yet, but oh how that would happen soon.

Something clicked and Tanner stopped his attack, but still pulled away. "I... Oh god..." Relic was here, so he must know what happened. What would he think of him? He'd been so weak! He should have fought harder, or run faster, or...or... something!! The blond bolted towards the door, sick to his stomach with the thought of his husband being disappointed in him, disgusted with him.

"Hey hey!" Relic quickly ran after him, taking a bucket with him in case he could not stop him from getting sick. He knew that look. He looped an arm around the other's shoulders and he pulled him against his side, face pressing into his neck and he nuzzled him a few more times. "It's okay. It's not your fault. I love you. I love you so much, Tanner. PLease... Please do not ever think other wise. I know. I know things will be bad, but don't... don't forget that." He looked up at him. "I love you no matter what."

Shaking, Tanner wrenched away, falling to the ground as he did so and emptying his stomach (luckily into the bucket). How could Relic want to touch him? Let alone love him? He slid away as soon as he could manage, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. His husband deserved more...better. "N-no... no I... I cheated..." Backing away further until his back hit the wall behind him, the blond continued to shake his head. "You... deserve better."

"oh my love." Relic smiled and moved closer to him, but staying at a fair distance. "You did no such thing. You never would. They overpowered you and not even my blood can help you with that." He stated and he then held up his left hand to the other. "This ring is forever. Completely. No matter what." He tilted his head to the side, smiling a little bit more. "You... you need to know that I will be with you for better and worse. This is worse. Tell me that you know this. That you believe this. I... I have something to tell you, but... I can't. Not until I know."

"I..." What could he say? He didn't want to hurt Relic further, but Tanner also didn't want to lie to him, either. The blond pulled his knees to his chest and buried his face in them, shoulders shaking as he sobbed. Calder's heart broke to see his friend like that, and he stepped forward, patting Relic's shoulder as he did so. He sat next to Tanner, though a respectable distance, to give it his best shot.

"Do you remember last time?" he asked in a whisper. "I told you to trust me-that if I ever left you, you could hurt me as badly as they hurt you. Remember?" Tanner sniffled and nodded slowly. "When has Relic ever hurt you? Ever." The other blond's head shook that Relic had never hurt him. "Let him help heal you. Can you do that?" It took a long time for Tanner to answer, but eventually the blond nodded very, very slowly.
