He moved to the wagon and grabbed his cloak, pulling it over himself and pulling the hood over his head. He asked around, seeing what could be done, and he was told to make an appeal to the king. He scowled, he was tired of dealing with kings, but he made his way to the castle hiding on the Eastern side of the capitol. When he reached the entrance, he was stopped.
"I want to speak with your king, gain asylum for my mate and I."
"Where is your mate, shark?" Asked the guard. Gio fought his dissociation, growing disinterested in this conversation.
"She's resting. The journey here took a lot for her to complete." He answered, "Let me pass."
"The king doesn't just grant anyone asylum." The other guard said. Gio's pupils started to slit.
"I am the first born son of General Kalpios of the Cestradae. By blood, I outrank you. Let me pass." He growled. The guards looked to each other. They knew of Kalpios, he was one of the most terrifying Cestradae alive. They didn't want to test it further and let him pass. Gio walked into the main chamber and expected to see a bag of bones for an elf sitting on the throne, but instead it was man who looked no older than his late thirties. Gio moved and took a knee, bowing his head lowly. He didn't care to bow for anyone, but he needed this man to give him what he came for.
