Shark Bait (PoisonousIvee/Mr.Aznable)

She watched Terrma jump and grab Gio, digging his teeth into Gio's fin. He hissed and grabbed him hard by the throat, forcing Terrma to let go before he was tossed aside like a doll. Gio turned toward the gate and saw Sereina stopped just the entrance.
"Sereina, go!!" He yelled. A gust of wind rushed passed him and his eyes widened, watching in slow motion as Terrma ran top speed toward the wagon. No. No, no, no!! He wouldn't let him hurt her. He ran after Terrma, eyes wild with anger and fear.

She was trying to make sense of it all. What was happening? She tried snapping the reigns, but the horse just wouldn't move fast enough.

Terrma was almost on her, "If I have to kill you to break him, then I will do what I must." He snarled. Why go so far to make Gio so unhappy? What had Gio done besides enter the human capitol? Gio was close on Terrma, desperate to get him before he reached her.

"Got you." She could feel Terrma's breath on her neck, his teeth grazing her skin, before he was jerked back hard by his fin.
"Keep going, Sereina!!" Gio yelled, "I promise, I'm right behind you!!" He threw Terrma as hard and as far as he could before running to catch up with Sereina.

Gio skidded to a halt and looked to the horses, they were anxious and tense and refused to move. He looked and saw Terrma running at him again and he hissed before grabbing the reigns, tugging hard to pull the horses forward into a run to the gate. He turned and grabbed Terrma's wrists stopping him from driving a dagger into his hide, shaking with effort.
"Let me go, Terrma." He grunted.
"No!! You're coming back with me, alive or dead!!"

I'm trying, he thought, I swear I'm trying. He slammed his foot hard into Terrma's chest, knocking the wind out of him and causing him to drop the dagger. Gio shoved him hard, knocking him back onto the ground before turning and running after Sereina.

He was covered in blood and scars, his fin bleeding from where Terrma bit into it. His shiny black scales looked dull and dry, she could see his gills flare with effort as he ran to her. Terrma was struggling to stand, gasping like a dying fish as he watched Gio get closer and closer to freedom.

He looked back at Terrma, the Cestradae king looking almost destroyed. Gio's eyes hardened, flat and emotionless before he turned away from Terrma for a final time. They entered the gate into the kingdom, ignoring the frightened stares of the elves just living their daily lives. The horses knickered anxiously, the wagon safe with all of Sereina's things.

"Gio..." Gio didn't turn, didn't move, even as Terrma crawled to the gate, "Gio, please...please, come home..." Gio's expression was flat and hard, his body still tense with adrenaline.
"I'll do anything for you, Gio...! I'll give you my throne...! Just please...!"
"Go back, Terrma." Gio stated, "I've made my choice. I'm staying here, with Sereina. You have nothing that I want. You never did."

"Gio, I...!" Terrma looked hard at Sereina, jealousy and hatred in his eyes.
"You're embarrassing yourself, Terrma. Go home, with what little dignity you have left. If I lay eyes on you again, I'm going to kill you." Gio told him. His expression was so dead, Sereina knew what that meant; he was starting to dissociate, disconnecting from everything around him. Terrma pushed himself up, fists clenched, before he relented and walked away.

"We did it, pearl..." He muttered, ignoring the scared and concerned stares that were given to them, "We're free..."

He looked down at himself, covered in the blood of his own and human. He pulled his fin forward to inspect the damage, making a small noise.
