How did you get your name?

I needed a name for an second character for a MMORPG back in 2000 and just typed and made it into a name. I don't use it as often as my main name, but it's definitely one of my favorite ones to use.

Mine's a cross between my actual nickname and the last name of my mother's alter ego when she would receive a call from an unwanted suitor.

OR:
...the fictional character Mrs McGillicuddy from a long-gone TV show called Hey Hey It's Saturday:

Mtvarisa is an old Georgian girl's name (not popular in modern times) and it vaguely translates as "one who belongs to moon", or "one of moon"... Thought it sounds quite Fantasish for such a site.

P. S.
Real name's Nastasia. Friends call me Nas or Nassy as well

Years ago, back when I played one or the other MMORPG, I wanted to make a paladin-esque character. Tried to create a name for him that would be both short, so that people would remember it, and would refer to his class. That's how I came up with Nathan Chapel. His name is like that of comic book characters: short, rolls from the tongue easily and referes to his shtick.

Dirty Fingers is a type of pick up used on Gibson guitars, it is high output and popular with metal and rock players. The name of the pick up conjures up images of smut which also works for RP.

This is my artist pseudonym. It's derived from Oberon Blue, as I've been cast as Oberon in Midsummer twice, and the second time I got to paint myself blue every night. It was awesome.

I grew up in Nevada and I've always had a love of arid deserts and sand. That said, "Mojave" just didn't work for me, and "Sahara" is a perfectly cromulent name, so here we are.

I'm a brunette and I've always been an upbeat, bubbly person, always looking on the bright side.

So, mine is a bit fun, or so I think. Whenever I travel I always give a different name, you know, when eating out, or meeting strangers you know you’ll never see again. And one time I spontaneously chose ‘Holiday’, I instantly fell in love with it, as did most of the people who heard it. I’m actually debating just going by it all the time now.

Ha! I love that! I should try that out sometime.

I was just thinking of words I like. “Glimmer” sounded cool. Then I needed an adjective to make it unique and make sure it wasn’t taken already. NightGlimmer sounded middle school edgy and cliche in just the right way.

Settled on it after deciding I was spending way too much time trying to find a clever porn pun for a username.

Anael is an angelic character hidden somewhere on one of my hard drives in a story never finished.

I wanted to pick something suitably Sci-Fi while also being iconic and recognizable. As I'm a Terminator fan I found that Skynet was good. It rolls off the tongue well.
