Hearing her words and feeling the soft kisses to his neck he reached for the remote, changing the channel several times before he spoke softly.

"I could think of a few other things to do them"
 
"Yeah?" Katie said then rested her head on his shoulder as she turned to the tv and massaged his stomach. "Like what?"
 
Feeling her fingers massaging his stomach he sighed a little, eyes settling on the television as he tried to steer the conversation elsewhere.

"Still looking forward to the weekend away"
 
His eyes stayed on the television as he heard her words, laughing a little at some of the action on the screen he felt his eyes getting heavier as he took a glance at the small clock. The alarm had already been set early and next week he would be making sure she attended college too.

"You ready for bed yet"
 
"mmmm...yup" Katie said as she stood up to change for bed. She stripped down to her underwear then got into bed as her mind went to the weekend. She began to think what might happen if Roscoe ran into Kyle.
 
Roscoe was vaguely aware of her words as he felt his eyelids getting lower and lower. Turning off the television he put his head back down against the pillow, within seconds he was fast asleep.
 
Katie turned and saw Roscoe asleep. She just smiled at him as she joined him and tried to get her mind off the possible scenario. She cuddled close to him and was asleep within minutes. When morning came she was waken by the alarm.
 
Roscoe groaned at the first few seconds of the alarm going off, reaching for it and turning it off he blinked a few times and sat up slowly. Moving from the bed he stripped down and threw his clothes into the large cane hamper, taking his robe as he headed for the shower.
 
Katie sat up and stretched as Roscoe did and grabbed the clothes she planned on wearing today. She was dressed and ready before he finished his shower.
 
Roscoe took a slightly longer than usual shower to help his body wake up more, drying off he put his robe back on. Walking back to his room he smiled and got dressed. His eyes met hers as he spoke softly.

"Ready to go, was planning to get some breakfast on the way"
 
Katie smiled back as she sat on the bed and watched him dress. "Yeah. that sounds great." she said, standing up then made her way out to the van. She got in then strapped her seat belt on and waited for Roscoe. Her mind once again went to the scenario of Roscoe's and Kyle's meeting.
 
Roscoe heard her response and was soon following her out to the van. Making sure the house was locked up they were soon on the road. Early morning lights of other cars shone on the other side of the road occasionally. His own mind had gone to several scenarios over the weekend, not many of them good.
 
Katie started looking more worried as the inevitable confrontation between Roscoe and Kyle went through her mind. She began to fidget around as she sat there.
 
Roscoe glanced across towards her, noticing the fidgeting he turned the stereo on and wound his window down. Taking a few breaths of the cool morning air he spoke.

"Katie something bothering you"
 
Katie jumped slightly as his words broke her train of thought "O-Oh...ummm....yeah kind of" she said then her mind went back to Roscoe and Kyle. "I just hope that...he doesn't show up." she said which was barely audible to him.
 
Roscoe listened and absorbed her words. Reaching across he gently squeezed one of her hands and changed the channel on the stereo to a more upbeat station.

"Katie try to relax, it will be fine"
 
Katie nodded and smiled back as she leaned against the chair and listened to the radio. She tried her best to get her mind off of everything as she looked out of the window.

"So, where to for breakfast?"
 
Roscoe noticed that they had bypassed two smaller towns and taking the turn off to the next he smiled and steered the van into the parking lot of the local eatery.

"Right here should be good"
 
"Ok" Katie got out and looked around as she waited for Roscoe. Her stomach began to rumble at the anticipation of breakfast.

"Man, I didn't realized I was so hungry until now"
 
Roscoe got out of the van, hearing her words he laughed softly and strode towards the entrance of the small diner. Opening the door he waited for her and spoke.

"Katie i am starving too"
 
Katie smiled back and headed in the diner. She sat down at a nearby booth and looked to the menu as she thought about what to get.

"So, what are you going to get unc?"
 
Roscoe smiled and took a seat on the opposite side of the booth, laughing softly as he glanced at the menu and its large range of food and drink items.

"Katie think that large burger and drink package sounds good to me"
 
Katie smiled back then listened to his words as she scanned the menu for her selection.

"I think I'll have a salad and a turkey club with a coke"
 
Roscoe smiled and noticed out of the corner of one eye the waitress taking both of their orders. Several minutes later she returned with both and taking a small bite out of his burger he licked his lips.

"mmm so good"
