Restoration of the Sands

Stepping forward the Gnoll lunges his spear into the chest of the undead, like Kas, striking home. Also like Kas it seems to not be effective against the rotten creature before him, sinking in to little effect. Nishe, who had been watching with her keen eyes, gets an idea and as she turns to throw her knife, she aims it to slice across the zombie instead of letting the blade stick point first inside, seeming to do better against it. "Think we' better off slicing instead of stabbing here!"

Gnoll hits but does no damage

Khettio looked at Alderdrix, her puffed out tail wagging back and forth in surprise. "Y-y-y-you understand me?" she said in Abyssal. "Whatever! Keep them away from me!" Wanting to put as many things between her and the zombies as possible, she bounded towards Ana until she was behind her. Like with Kas, she placed her hands on Ana's back, her tattoos glowing with energy that transferred from one woman to the other.

Khettio moved directly behind Ana, and cast Guidance on her!

Feeling some positive energy from Khettio placed into her, she felt the energy course through her as her blade lashes out, a weaker strike than before - but still hopefully a solid blow all the same!

14 (That's with guidance) to hit zombie 2, for 7 slashing damage

The blade strikes true and slashes into the former human, cutting easily into the decayed flesh. However the monstrocity clings too unlife, still standing after Ana's swing. All the while another of the fiends move, finally closing in with Nishe and Willow.

For her own part, she would step around Nishe, as she would reach out, hand wreathed with positive energy, as she would aim to merely touch the Zombie, to ravage it with the energy of life.

Melee touch (1d20+0); 14
Damage; 5 positive

Laying her hands upon the undead creature, the flows of life shot through the creature, disrupting the energy keeping it animated. It collapses and dies, but not before leaving behind a cloud of rot that lingers around Nishe and Willow for a moment. The Zombie next to Ana slams its arms against the woman again, but once more is easily fended off by the swordwoman's shield and armoured form.

Zombie 5 is struck by the positive energy and breaks down, exploding with another sickening cloud of decay.

Zombie 2:

Well that was another one down, they were making progress at least but not out it trouble just yet. Ana still seemed to be doing well and in order to get a shot on the one she was fighting he would have to expose himself to danger so Kas again drew and nocked an arrow as he aimed to the right and loosed it towards the zombie yet uncontested by Willow. She might be able to handle it but those clouds of decay certainly didn't seem like a good thing to be dealing with if they could help it. His arrows might not be the most effective here but they were better than nothing.

The arrow hits home, and seems to do some damage, however it continues on its original path, charging forward at Willow and slamming itself into her, finding much more luck with her than its companion with Ana. Likewise the third undead starts throwing itself at the Gnoll, though with no success.

The Arrow hits home and does reduced damage

Zombie 4
Action: Charges Willow-18, hit
Damage: 8 points, Willow needs to make a Fortitude save

The Gnoll continues to keep the zombie busy using it's spear, while it is not a good weapon for this sort of creature it is the only one he has, knowing it's last attack was not effective he puts more effort into the damage become slightly reckless.

10+3-1=12 for 3+3+2 Dmg

Nishe takes this chance to get into a more advantageous position. Quickly darting past the Zombie before it could turn and hit her, she comes round behind it and quickly slashes with her small blade. However it is clear the girl is not that used to combat as her effects are rather minimal in hurting the beast.

Gnoll hits, but does no damage

Not taking her hands off Ana, Khettio sent her another surge of focusing energy. "What are you doing? Aren't you a fighter? Kill it!" she shouted in Abyssal.

Khettio cast Guidance on Ana!

Not quite grasping the crazy demon language her clingy companion was saying, Ana lashed out again against the zombie. It'd be a lot easier for her to put it back in the ground if she didn't have someone hanging at her back but beggars couldn't be choosers.

12 to hit (w/ guidance) for 7 slashing damage

Ana's sword finishes the work she had already begun, cutting down the foul beast and leaving behind naught but a shattered corpse and a cloud of stinking decay. One would hope that all this foul air won't have any negative repercussions.

Zombie dies in another burst of decay

Flanking the zombie, she would calmly reach out to touch it, as inside, she would be trying to flush and burn the disease away in the furnace of her life. She could but hope that some of it would work to shield her as well.

Fort save (1d20+2); 14
Positron Touch (1d20+2 touch); 22!
Crit confirm; 14
Damage; 3 (6 if crit confirms)

With a burst of radiant energy the zombie collapsed, leaving only the brief linger of the decayed gas. Nishe coughs, waving her hand to try and clear the foul air from her. This now leave but a single zombie, currently engaged with the captured Gnoll.

The momentum was well in their favor as only one of the undead remained, still he worried about the clouds of fell vapor and the way Nishe was coughing. Unfortunately he couldn't do anything about that and rather instead committed to trying to aid in the destruction of the final creature in the mean time. Drawing another arrow from his quiver Kas moved around Ana again some ten feet forward so he had a clear shot, nocking the arrow he planted his feet and drew it back with the smooth motion it required as he once more took careful aim. It was more difficult this time since that foul abomination of a gnoll was engaging it but all the same he fired and hoped for the best.

Attack Roll: (-4 for shooting into melee, +1 for Point Blank Shot)
[1d20+3] = 19+3 = 22 (Welp that'll do)

Damage: (+1 for Point Blank Shot)
[1d10+5] = 2+5 = 7

The arrow sinks in and right through the Zombie's arm, leaving the undead creature a little hindered as it came in to slam down at the Gnoll once again. Although the Gnoll's spear was yet to truly leave a mark, the bound creature was doing well at keeping the zombie tied up and fended off.

The arrow hits and does reduced damage.

The gnoll is keeping the zombie busy well enough for Aderdrix to not worry about it though he is concerned about the after effects of killing one of the creatures, still he commands his new companion to continue fighting

8+3-1= 10 for 8+3+2 dmg

The Gnoll's attack falls short of striking home this time, leaving the Undead to continue to try and harras. Nishe at this point dashes towards the last Undead, blade held ready just in case the group could not finish it off right away.

Gnoll misses

There was only one zombie left! Things looked a lot safer, but Khettio was still wary.

Could Khettio make a check to see if the miasma is dangerous?

Wait, something didn't seem right. There was no way that miasma spewing from the slain zombies was healthy. In fact, her nose told her so. Khettio's ears pressed against her head, and the fur of her tail poofed out. She tried to tell the others, but the only words that came out of her mouth were in Abyssal.

"The clouds! Get away from them, or you'll get sick!"

Crazy demon language again, this time from Alder too. Whatever. She knew well enough that the miasma clouds were probably bad business. And the gnoll seemed to have this thing well enough - she side skirted away from the miasma, back to the entrance even to wait a bit. If the Gnoll could finish off the last zombie, great. If not, then she'd step in to finish it but like hell she was going to stick around rotting carcasses filled with decay.

Moving back closer to the entrance. let the gnoll and the archer plonk it to death! But if they suck at that I guess i'll go back in to finish the job.

With an impact and a gasp of released air, the zombie stopped in its tracks. Crumpling to the ground, once more inanimate, the cloud of greenish miasma dissipating as the desert winds carried it away.

The courtyard was once more quiet, still as the grave besides the wind catching ruined canvas and cloth. Nishe gave a sigh and took a moment to retrieve her dagger, wiping off the foul ichor on the tattered remains of the zombies outfit. "Gnolls an' Zombies, Ember is gonna get an earful, bloody bastard."
