She smiled and began to eat, eventuslly cleaning up after herself and making sure the house was tidy. Things seemed to be slightly more pleasant after this.
 
Until another fight broke out. This time it was over her cleaning his trophy animals. "You must be careful with these, they will fall apart if not cleaned properly, you can't just go in and scrub them like a rug!"
 
"I'm sorry, you never told me how to care for them properly!" She said. She was getting defensive, but he was being an ass.
 
"Because you're always out hunting, you're never home for me to ask you anything!!" She spat. She was getting fed up with being blamed for everything, but she stuck with it for the sake of the treaty.
 
"You want to eat, don't you?!" He snapped. He swallowed his pride and took a breath, "Give me the cleaning rag, I will show you.." He offered with a strained voice.
 
"No, forget it! Your damned trophies mean so much to you, clean them yourself!!" She said as she threw the rag in his face and stormed off.
 
"Ifera..." He called but sighed, taking the rag and gently cleaned his trophies so she could calm down on her own.
 
She huffed and vented to herself and eventually left to the edge of the village to meditate and relax.
 
She didn't quite know how long she had been sitting there, "I cleaned the house for you..." Maleris said behind her.
 
She jumped a bit. "Gods, don't scare me like that.." he said. "And you don't have to do that.." she said. "Just don't start shouting at me.."
 
She made a noise. "Probably a stew.. or.. I'm not sure, something quick.." she said. After this spat, things reached a point of high tension. Their arguments were more frequent and more severe.
 
Things didn't seem to get any better. The fights were worse and worse to the point where he didn't even sleep in the same house.
 
She still cooked and cleaned, but whenever she spoke to him was met with resentment. She was so close to giving up and heading home, treaty be damned, she couldn't take this anymore.
 
"Why are you so insufferable?!" He shouted at her, "I have done all that I can, I do trivial things for you, I want this to work for the sake of our people! But you do nothing but act like a child!"
 
"All I ask is that you not scream at me!! I cook, I clean, I keep my damn word and I do all that I can to keep myself quiet under this oppressive fucking roof! Why am I insufferable?! What did I do to have you hate me so much?!" She screamed at him, firmly holding her ground.
 
"I don't hate you!! I actually find you rather attractive!!" He shouted. He then realized what he said and snapped his mouth shut, his snout and face turning dark purple.
 
"Maleris.. I mean it.. we've been married for.. three months.. you have done nothing but yell at me and demean me and call me insufferable the entire time.. if you don't want me to leave.. then prove that you don't hate me.." she said. She was looking down, more serious now.
