He peeked an eye open at her and made a noise. "Yes...but I'm giving you the bedroom. I repulse you, don't I? Sleep in there so you won't be on the floor."
"Oh shut up and sit down." She said, pushing him back into his seat and moving to prepare yet another cut of meat for him. "I swear, I should have just married Izin in my village." She hissed under her breath.
"Hm? Oh I'm sorry, husband I must have been having those pesky opinions again, I'll stop at once~!" She said, just to spite him. She soon returned with a slab of meat, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. "There. May I eat my now cold meal?"
"Do what you wish, woman." He huffed before cutting into his bear steak and taking a large bite. He sat quietly for a moment before lowering his head, "I'm sorry..." He muttered.
She sighs. "As am I.. I was in the wrong.. what I said was harsh.." she said. She drank her wine and simply went to bed. This was awful. Either fighting or nothing. What did she do to deserve this?
When she woke up in the morning, he had his arm wrapped tightly around her, holding her tight to his chest as he slept heavily. He was warm, which she found odd for a reptile, but it was not unwelcome.
When she offically decided to get up, he was gone and the house was quiet. Moving into the main room showed a covered platter of what she assumed was food. Lifting it showed juicy roast pheasant with scrambled quail egg and three thickly cut strips of bacon. Beside the plate was a note: "Went hunting for more meat, will return before sunset. Enjoy your morning meal."
