Less Than Ideal (PoisonousIvee/Mr.Aznable)

She smiles and kisses his snout again. She moved up. After cleaning up with his help, she thanked Izin and headed home. She opened the door slowly and closed it gently. She didn't want to have another fight with Maleris.

"Yes, I did have fun, actually. You could learn a thing or two from Izin, namely how to treat a woman." She said.

"And you call him a chil, that's rich." She said. "Did you at least enjoy the food? I promise you I didn't poison it." She said as she began mixing a few ingredients together.

She stopped for a moment. "Well.. you're welcome.. if you have anything you want me to cook for you, let me know and I'll try to make it.." she said as she mixed in a few more. The potion had to be strong, she had no idea how potent the Zael'rin were.

"I'll keep that in mind.." He said and fell quiet for a moment before speaking, "You know, you might have ruined that boy's chances of ever finding a mate.."

"There's a reason we forbid mating until maturity; binding and mating too young has terrible effects on our hormones. Males will either become hypersexual or will not desire courtship at all. Females do not find such a thing desirable in a mate, there is either a lack of loyalty or no desire to continue a bloodline."

She sighed. What could she do? What had she done? She could probably create a potion to neutralize the hormones, bring him back to normal. She felt awful. All this for petty vengeance.

"We will keep an eye on him." He assured, "Just be more careful the next time you wish to try and upset me."

"I can probably.. make something to fix this..." she said. She sighed. "I know I cannot make demands of you but next time you wish to visit your mate please just tell me the truth.."

She suddenly grew very sad. She had thought to ask her lover for a hand in marriage, but never got the chance. Never got the chance to say goodbye, even to her mother. "Apologies that this whole situation is auch a massive inconvenience to you." She said flatly and moved to the bedroom. She laid on the floor, not even wanting to share a bed with Maleris.

If he could roll his eyes, he would. What a selfish woman, he thought. "Oh you poor thing, married into a powerful bloodline and saving the ones you love from certain destruction. What ever will you do? Grow up."

"I was to be married and my mother is elderly and dying, you colossal ass. I got no chance to say goodbye. Oh no, poor you. You got a chance to say goodbye. You are allowed to see your loved ones. I savor the thought of saving my loved ones but I will never see them again." She said. She eventually gave up and went to bed. She was disgusted by him. She hated him. She wanted to be left alone, but she was met with mockery.

On the night of the ceremony, Ifera had many females preparing her; dressing her in their traditional fabrics and weaving wildflowers into her fire red hair.

She was smiling, but inside was nothing but empty. She had to put on a face, or be mocked and demeaned by Maleris later.

She smiled, if a bit sadly. "Thank you.. and.. I'm sorry.. I had.. no idea.." she said. She couldn't afford to cry on her wedding day, so she did her best not to. Seeing Izin, knowing what she had done, was almost too much.

"Ah...it's no worry to me...! I enjoyed myself and the consequences are mine to bear..." He pet her cheek gently and smiled, "They've already begun the process to ensure nothing undesirable happens to me so I will find a mate in the future...it will take much longer but I don't mind...! You needed a companion and I was glad to help.." He was so sweet.

She fought tears and only smiled. "Thank you, Izin.. if I can help in any way, I will.." she said and made sure thst everything was ready before she headed out to wait for the ceremony.

The ceremony seemed simple to her but she could tell the Zael'rin held everything in such high regard. Maleris looked bored as he clasped a band around her neck made from one of his plated scales.

The ceremony was lovely, but Maleris' disinterest made it all seem useless. She could have been getting married to the one she loved. But now she was wedded to this large, reptilian brat.
