"yeah, seems her ex wasnt keen on letting her go, something about mustangs not letting any of there women go, which tells me she wasnt the only one" he said holding her tight. "I would have killed him myself but, he swung at me and tripped breaking his own neck." he said sighing. "thank you for taking us in while our home gets patched up" he said feeling all the bruises and bumps on his body starting to throb as the adrenaline wore off.
 
"Mustangs run in herds. Or harems basically." Daisy pulled out slowly and made sure it was dark in her SUV. "1 stallion for a large group of females. The stallion's job is to reproduce and protect and steer any stray females to their herd." Giving him information of Mustangs or well any equine mind track. "I had Lillian's number as she came to the club alone and if she was in trouble I call as the 'emergency' so she can leave without looking like a bitch." Driving abit out of the city she pulled up to a decent house and parked.

"I have twin fawns and they are asleep. Would it bother you if James carried Lillian in? You don't look fit to carry her without making to much racket."
 
"thanks daisy, tyson did more damage than I thought" he said feeling the effects as his body was hurting. daisys husband, a burly and mighty stag met them and eased the door open. "easy friend, I got her" james said working with fang to get her out since his antlers didnt exactly make it easy to get in. "go wash up fang, itll do you some good, then come to the den, I have some good brandy thatll help take the ache out a bit" he said with an offer like they were old friends.

james was an old soul as people would say, his family heratage were healers and medacine men. theres much to be said about the relationship between wolves and deer, the mutual respect was a fast way to friendship as fang almost lost his balance had daisy not been there to steady him.
 
Daisy had lead him to the bathroom that connected to the guest bedroom. Daisy helped Fang out of his bloody clothing while James laid Lillian in the soft bed with a light blanket laid over her. Once the married couple left Daisy left to check on the twins as James, the large stag with glasses was going through his collection of brandy. After Fang arrived he pulled out a smooth golden bottle out and poured him a glass.

"I heard Tyson made his fatal mistake. Good thing too. You two are welcome to stay as long as you need. Who knows...My girls may call you Uncle Fangy." James jested with him taking a sip of his own brandy. It seemed purebloods either have respect for one another or hatred for one another.
 
"thank you james" he said sipping his and sighing as it warmed his blood and made his fur fluff a bit. "its been a rough night, its good to have friends" he said with a smile. "im glad I didnt ignore my instincts, had he done what he was planning.... I.... I dont think id have ever been able to forgive myself" he said and sipped some more. "you remind me of the old shamen from the deer tribe back home a few miles from my home town, it was his idea I come to the city after I left home" he said finishing his glass.

"I owe you and daisy a great deal, any time you need help, just call" he said standing and offering his hand to james. as the 2 shook hands fang felt exhausted "im gonna turn in, best I be with lily if she wakes up having a bad dream" he said softly to which james nodded and patted him on the shoulder. "I think id like being an uncle" he said with a chuckle and found his way to bed curling in with lilian in his arms.
 
James had helped Fang upstairs to the guest room. "Just a couple of requests. No loud sex or walking around naked. I got 3 year old daughters." Gently pushing him in as he shut the door, James joined Daisy.

Lillian curled up to Fang as it seemed the medicine made her sleep the entire day away with Daisy taking Fang to work then driving back. By the time they got back Lillian had been the victim of make-up time. Her nails were all different colors with odd colored eye shadow. Daisy couldn't help but take a picture and caption it as her fawns playing with their new Aunt.
 
fang had been lethargic and looked exhausted the whole day and through his shift, something his team knew was not normal. handling most of the work they made fang take it easy for his shift so he could rest and recover. everyone knew from daisy the short of what had happened and there admeration for there cooler grew with his dedication and loyalty to his mate shone clear. every time hed try to step in one of the bouncers would gently make him stay put and pat his shoulder to make him stay.

it was all worth it when he got home and couldnt help doubling over as he laughed so hard it hurt seeing the fawns had totally made over lilian. james chuckled as he moved asis with daisy knowing either lilian would get him, or the fawns would and prepared for the hilarity that would follow.
 
The fawns looked at Fang with fear until Lillian walked over and hugged him. In seconds she pushed him on the couch. "GET HIM GIRLS!" Lillian's voice rang out as Daisy held Fang's feet to get his boots off. The twins assaulted Fang with lip gloss, nail polish, perfume and all the girly stuff. Of course James was taking pictures of the family beauty assault.

Once the twins had worked their energy out Daisy moved the girls to get them bathed and clothed for bed. Lillian sat beside Fang snickering. "Good thing this stuff is wash out."

"Yeah, I wouldn't let my mother in law to get them something with dye and such. I mean they are kids....I don't want them to grow up to fast." James said as he handed Lillian some weak wine cooler.

"I know...They aren't mine and I already feel protective over them." She looked at the bottle as if a thought hit her. Was she ready to try for a litter? This sort of thing stunned her.
 
fang was laughing like a hyena the whole time they got him and when it was over had giggle fits from the whole thing. james chuckled handing him a beer and sat opposite them in his favorite chair with a beer as well. "its not easy, being a parent, but I wouldnt trade a second of it for the world" he said as fang sat beside lily wondering the same as her about children and if shed ever want any.

daisy soon joined them with a wine cooler of her own and sat in james lap kissing him tenderly. "so howed you guys meet?" james asked with a smile as fang blinked shaking off his thoughts. "funny thing, it was my first night at work, remember that night daisy, I saw something was off so I knocked off and went outside and found lilian at her car upset" he said with a smile and looked at the love of his life taking her hand in his.
 
Lillian looked up as if bolted from her thoughts. "Hm?"

Daisy smiled and nodded. "I remember seeing you getting into her car and taking off but the next day you looked like you were walking on clouds."

James chuckled. "Imprinted huh? Weird, never thought a wolf would imprint on a feline. Another canine perhaps but a feline...But who are we to say who we should be with." He nuzzled Daisy who sipped on her drink. Though he watched Lillian carefully take small sips of her own drink.

"Is something wrong Lily?" Daisy asked with a worried tone.

"Oh nothing I took some pain killers and just taking it easy with the alcohol tonight." Lillian wasn't exactly lying but she was thinking of other things. James spoke of how Daisy's brother challenged him but he bested them all with other suitors but Daisy was in love with James since their childhood days.
 
fang was considerate to pay attention to there talking and interact with them but his instincts told him something was on lilians mind. he made a note to talk when they went to bed and discuss it in private, some things dont need to be done in front of others and hed learned she was proud and not to keen on showing any kind of weakness in front of others. "oh the cops called tonight on our shift babe, said the appartment will be ready for us to go home tomorrow" fang said remembering that call and the urging again by the detective to consider his offer that was on the table whenever he wanted it.
 
Lillian smiled but she looked at him. "More good news. The new publisher loved the book with the new ending. My lawyer made sure he was true to his word on his deal. While under contract I get a new car, plenty of cash plus any retirement fund I want to invest in." Smiling softly as she got up. "I'm going to grab a bath and head to bed." She kissed his cheek before disappearing. Though Lillian was soon clean and in an over sized shirt, lying in bed with a book.
 
james and daisy both gave him a smile with a knowing look reminding him no loud sex but telling him without speaking to go get her. he chuckled and finished his beer before vanishing upstairs. james smiled "I like him, hes good people" he said pulling his glasses off and pulled daisy into a tight kiss.

upstairs fang joined her in the room and washed up a bit before joining her in bed in a pair of sweatpants. "whats on your mind babe" he said softly kissing her cheek as he settled beside her.
 
"Nothing..." Clearly something was nagging at her as her eyes weren't moving as if she was reading. After awhile she put the book down. "While playing with the Fawns and well interacting with them I enjoyed their hugs, their smiles, their laughter, even their fighting makes me giggle." Her voice was cracking abit but she looked at Fang. "I don't know how to say this but the thought of having a litter is sounder better by the second."
 
he smiled at her and caressed her cheek "hey, its ok, look" he said sitting up and taking her hands in his after moving to face her. "I love you, your my lifemate, my everything, I want to make you happy" he said softly as he looked into her eyes. "I know its been a few days and I know ive turned everything upside down, but I know I want to be with you forever, I want to see our children in your arms, all of it" he said with a smile.

"lilian... will you marry me, and be the mother of Our, children" he said emphasizing the fact they were partners and there children would be both of theres.
 
What came next made her head swim. He proposed! "Fang... I... I don't know what to say." She knew there was many milestones between them. Its been about a week since they moved in together. Sitting in silence she thought about it. "Fang, I'll say yes but what of our families? Or your family....Mine are in another country." Her eyes searched his own unaware the Detective was hounding the wolf for him to join their force.
 
"lily, my family is... odd, it will not be easy but... they will accept you, and if not.... then they have no place in our lives. you are my one and only, there are no others for me but you, without you, im better off dead" he said softly. "I know I cant keep going, the life of a bouncer, retirement isnt a very promising option" he said lowering his head. "lily... I got offered a chance to join the police force by detective Rex" he said looking at his hands.

"im a fighter, its all I really know, but, if I can use what I know to help save just one life... then everything I have suffered and learned was worth every ounce of pain. but... if you dont want me to I wont, ill think of something else. and if I must I will prove myself to your parents and family however they wish, if I must fight every man from your home town to prove my worth I will" he said as his tail swished and thumped.
 
All of this was going so fast but she held his hand tightly. "So you got another job offer?" Asking him softly seeing he was serious but yet seemed concerned. "Fang, you being a cop is dangerous like being a bouncer but atleast you get benefits... But you have to think about this one. Is the pay worth it? I mean you can save lives and track down killers and give families closure. I think its worth it."
 
seeing her encouragement made his fur fluff and he couldnt help but kiss her "the pay might be a bit lower, but its steady with room to advance. detective rex said 4 years on the beat and I can work my way up to be a detective, hes willing to pull some strings for me, says I got a natural instinct for it" he said stroking her face. "babe, we have a shot at our dreams, lets take it together" he said as his eyes sparkled looking into hers.
 
Sitting there silently with her holding his hand tightly. He seemed begging her to take the leap of faith with him. With a deep breath she looked into his eyes. "Yes, I'll marry you. Lets make this trip together and show this world what we're capable of."
 
he grinned, "we take the world by the throat like hunters and fight for whats ours" he said with a grin. "I am Fang Nightmoon, Lilian my lifemate, tonight... we hunt for life" he said using old words ending with a deep kiss. pulling her into his arms fang fluffed his fur in excitment and joy, utter desire and love carried by his kiss.
 
Within his arms she returned his kiss. Even with her feeling utter passion pouring from him made her aroused but when the kiss ended. She looked up at him with concern in her eyes. "So how are we going to do this? Court house? Traditional ceremony?" There was so much to plan from him to changing jobs to planning a wedding.
 
he chuckled "I have no idea, but I think it only right we start with seeing our families to get that set. should we go see yours first or mine?" he asked nuzzling her face. "I think my sisters will like you" he said with a smirk knowing it would be a shock but his little sisters were innocent and fun loving, all 3 were about 13 now and full of energy and life.
 
Lillian laid her ears back with her pulling back. "My family lives in another country. When things were going rough they ran while I stayed behind." Her eyes fell on him while she told him bit of her history of why she found it hard to let someone go. She was afraid of being alone but yet her kind was suppose to be alone. "We can visit your family first and just send a letter to my family. I doubt they'll reply."
 
fang nodded, "ill never leave you lilian, were both not like the rest of our kind... but thats alright... because we have eachother" he said softly. "and thats all that maters" he said and stroked her cheek "ill hold you every night and stay by yourside in this world and the next" he said pressing his forehead to hers "I sware it" he said in a whisper just for her.
