Ethniu scowled and left in a huff. Idri turned and scented the cave. It wasn't the best living conditions. He turned his head toward her, as if asking if he really had to stay here.
She made a noise and moved to pet his snout. "I know, honey.. but there are plenty of lesser pesky demons.. you'll always have food.. and I'll always visit..!" She said.
He seemed rather disappointed by this. Maybe she didn't trust him enough to let him stay with her. Maybe she didn't trust her own kind. He moved inside and laid down, head tucked in his arms.
"I'm sorry Idri.." she said. She did everything she could to comfort him. As time passed, it would seem that she had kept her promise. No one came for him besides her.
