I was thinking about running a game where the next generation of superheroes is coming up and into their powers. Starting with basic training and other things one would imagine such people would do then evolving into other things. Of course, the nature of the scenarios would depend on whoever decides they want to try to play and what characters they make.

I was going to run this with MURPG rules, I understand those rules well enough to help anyone who does not. I have had very little luck keeping a game going unfortunately as most tend to die out because of people not reposting so I would like to create a game where if I have dropouts and people who want to come in it works with the flavor and this scenario would probably lend itself well to that.

Master of Light 7 6W AN+0 (includes force blast and shield barrier, requires device)

Magic for healing. I calculated it at AN+2.

For the device, I was thinking a kind of focus that without it, he can drain energy and heal (since those are separate powers), but he can't do the blast or shield, since that requires the energy to have "force."
 
This looks like fun, but I have absolutely no clue about MURPG.
Thinking of playing a young terrakinetic just coming into their powers?

Okay better turn out than expected Tenshi wants to join as well and everyone who has already posted brings us to 7... KC obviously we reached the goal of 4 so you can be an instructor take a 10 stone challenge for that because you are responsible for when they screw up.
 
Yay, this seems to be actually going ahead! So, We have have a teacher of some kind, Psychic twins, some lucky bastard, a demon-possesed person, Basically a cleric, an earthbender++, and whatever Sith feels like.

Does that sound like the start to a joke, or is it just me?

Currently brainstorming power origin - maybe went spelunking and fell and fell deep into the ground? Landed in deep crystal/stone grotto, contacted by curious elemental powers (incomprehensible, not as though elementals speak English or other European languages...)
Had to struggle and fight out of the deep caves, ended up bedraggled and exhausted several weeks later at the base of a mountain range, almost blinded by the sunlight that hadn't been seen for weeks?
How does that sound?
 
And just how lewd is the world as a whole? Does it run on sexy logic, or porn logic, or is sex just more socially accepted? It'd be nice to know that sort of thing.
 
Okay what is the diffrence in level there?

Porn logic- Everyone runs around nude?

Sexy logic- Everyone will have sex at the drop of a hat?

Sex is more socially accepted- I think I understand this one. None of the taboos stand and only things that harm the unwilling are really banned?

Currently I am leaning toward socially accepted and this is an Alt universe Marvel.

Stones remaining are simply held in reserve for use at a latter time they act as any other stones remaining... Sometimes heroes gain new power after a traumatic event. This is the games way of explaining that, note you may get LOE (Lines of Experiences) as well as challenges (which generates reserved stones).

The difference is that stones can add new powers as well as improve existing ones so stones are much more valuable. You must pay the price of the difference in level for the new AN. LOE are gained and assigned to your existing actions (note the difference here between actions and modifiers LOE cannot improve a modifier except under extreme circumstances).
 
Would my character's disability to use their power without being in physical contact be considered a "Character needs "attachment" to use power" challenge?

They're gonna have pretty much average physical acumen perhaps with a heightened intelligence.

As for abilities I was thinking Telepathy, telekinesis, Force Field and Astral Travel for a primary powerset. Social Skills, Vehicle Operation, General Knowledge and maybe Illusions on the side?
 
I think what you are looking at is power out of control without device unless you are speaking of something specific if so let me know otherwise no that is just range 0.
 
Yes, i was thinking of the twins being in physical contact as an activation trigger for their powers, so out of control without device fits way better. Thanks.
 
Oh I understand what you are asking they each have some power alone correct? So honestly what you are going to end up with is a modifier which allows them access to more power when they are together.
 
Question are their powers any different from each other when separated? Basically what I am asking is each supplying something the other does not give?
 
I was thinking that apart they only have a connection to each other. Shared sensation and thoughts. The trigger for their ability being that they are in physical contact, holding hands or somesuch.

Born as separate entities but since their X-gene activated in their early teens the shared thoughts has slowly eroded their individuality, effectively making them one person inhabiting two bodies.

-Anyone worried about demonic invasion would be concerned about her and many would be active in trying to deal with her, also cultists of her demon self would like to free it from her mortal shackles, and old demonic enemies would want to prevent her demonic self existing.

-Her human self she has a lot of pent up anxiety about her life choices - and the fact that she can't escape even in death.

-Her demon self is insulted at its loss of power and wants it back.
Conflicting Interests: 2W
-Her human self wants to be safely free of her demon self and put everything behind her, her demon self wants to return to the ranks of upper level reality warper (which might not be safe for anyone).
-As such both are frequently working against the other as one tries to remove the other from existance.

I will need expliantions on Deadly and conflicting as well as specialties on powers that require them but you are good.
