Theo made a noise. Here goes.

"No, dad, I understand..." Sena said gently, sitting on the bed, "I know...I know...I'm being careful..." She closed her eyes, maybe to keep calm, "Why did you call?" She asked, as if interrupting him. Her eyes shot open and she looked over to Theo quickly, "You want me and Theo over for dinner?"

 

[Mr.Aznable]

Theo froze and instinctively shakes his head.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Uh...I-I don't know, dad, Theo hasn't been feeling really good lately and-" She stopped, "Oh...oh, I see...um...well, I'll talk to him and let you know. Ok. Ok. Love you, too, dad..." She said and hung up.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

Theo made a noise and sighed softly. "Christ.."

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Um...so..." She tapped her nails gently against her phone, "Mom made dad feel like absolute shit for his behavior on Christmas so he...wants us for dinner on New Years..." She told him.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Ah.. oh.." he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Yeah...if you don't want to, that's totally fine, I can go and say you got sick or something..." She said.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I.. I dunno.." he said

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"He sounded really sincere..." She said gently.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Huh.." he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"You don't have to, babe...I can tell him no..." She said, "He might...take it as an act of disrespect, though..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He made a noise. "I dunno.. your dad seemed.. pretty disgusted when I saw him.." he said.

She made a face, "Only cuz I brought you to the party...if he didn't know you were with me, he would actually like you..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"It doesn't seem like that, babe.. I.. I dunno.." he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

She made a face and nodded, "Alright, I'll tell him no.." She said and picked up her phone.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He sighed a bit. "I just.. I'm nervous I guess.." he said.

She stopped and looked up, "I'll be right beside you..."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I.. I know but.. he really.. really didn't like me.." he said.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"He doesn't like anyone I bring home that isn't a bull." She said, "Babe, really, if you don't wanna go, we don't have to.."

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"I'm not sure.. I want your parents to like me but.."

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"Do you wanna go? If he's sincere about making peace, I usually go for it. But I'm his daughter..." She said.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

"Would you like it..?" He asked.

 

[PoisonousIvee]

"If there's a way to make him like you that doesn't require anybody breaking your legs, I'm for it." She said.

 

[Mr.Aznable]

He sighs and nods. "Alright.."
