Too Far Gone [Ama + Randomname98766789]

The entire scenario brought a sense of peace for Tara as well, Knowing that the love of her life was nearby made everything feel so much better. The smile honestly did not leave her face as she was being held. The feeling of the blonde’s strong arms around her was welcoming on levels she never imagined. After such a difficult time in dealing with the people of Terminus, it felt nice to have a slight reprieve, to enjoy their time together. When the girl kissed her neck, Tara felt these sensations coursing through her body, reminding her of the way she felt earlier that evening. It was strange how only a simple touch in such a time or place could turn her own. Angela’s touch was basically magic. “Yeah, I’m glad you two want to join us. I think all of us going would mean a lot. It certainly helps the chances of getting him there safe.” Even if Eugene’s cure was unfounded and did not work, perhaps Washington D.C. was still somewhat safe, right? Not everything could be lost, especially not the fucking capitol of the country. Tara chose to have hope, for the moment, at least.

The group continued talking, realizing it was a good idea to have hope for something in the future. Maggie and Josh were all in, Tara and Angela were all in. They just needed to speak with Abraham in the morning. They should probably also speak to Rick, but that was something she heard Josh say that he would handle. It seemed like everything was squared away until morning. Now, the girl looked around the church, seeing they were basically the only ones still awake at this time, minus anyone on watch duties. Deciding they should probably get some rest if they are heading out early in the morning, Tara made the soft suggestion. “I guess we should get some rest then. We’ll need to be full of energy when we leave in the morning. We have a long road ahead of us, and it starts tomorrow.”

--

When Maggie turned to face Josh, her words warmed his heart. The look in those beautiful, green eyes made him smile back at her. It was the little things – the cute, southern drawl when she talked, the way she smiled at him, the way her lips moved – he fell in love with Maggie all over again in that moment, just like every moment of each day. Finally, he draped one arm around her body, pulling her into his chest for a hug. He would have felt like it was criminal if he did not at least give her a kiss, so he did just that. Their lips touched for a brief, few seconds, despite knowing they were sitting there with another group of people. However, considering they were also a couple, he figured they did not mind a little PDA. They seemed quite all over one another as well. Pulling back from the kiss, Josh brought that hand upwards, starting to play with his wife’s long hair while listening to Tara finish talking. It sounded like they had a plan for the morning. Before anything happened, though, they needed to get some rest. There was a long road ahead, regardless of what they did.

“I agree. We should all get some sleep. I know Abraham and the other two want to get started early in the morning. We’ll need to make sure we wake up in time to tell everyone our plan.” Turing to Maggie again, Josh squeezed her hand one more time. Since it was time to get some sleep, he figured they should find their own little area to sprawl out in each other’s arms. “I’m ready when you are, babe.” Josh whispered, signaling that he was ready to find somewhere for them to make their bed for the night whenever she wanted, but he was unsure if she had anything else to talk about with the other couple, so he would simply follow her lead whenever she wanted to go elsewhere.

Oh shit - everyone else was asleep. Angela had been pretty focused on the conversation at hand and hadn't realized that - luckily the group had been speaking quietly so they likely had not kept anyone awake. Maggie said some goodbyes and Angela responded in tune, and then the pair of women were left to their own devices. Angela, for one, did not want to let go of her girlfriend. If it was possible to be comfortable sleeping sitting up she likely would have just leaned back and nodded her head to the side so that she could hold on to Tara all night, but they would have to move at least to some degree. Ange gave Tara a squeeze and then let go, a quiet request for her to move a bit. "You too, beautiful," she said, referencing the idea of sleep.

"We have an adventure starting tomorrow, let's do our best to sleep well." With her arms now free she stretched them out, cracking her shoulders as she did so. As she stretched she yawned if Tara hadn't moved yet then she slid herself free in order to lay down. Then she rolled on her side and looked towards the brunette. "I love you so much, I hope you know that. How you wanna do this - little spoon, big spoon, using my tits as pillows again?" The last part was added on with a little bit of a teasing tone to it because she knew that Tara loved her breasts, but at the same time Ange would enjoy any possible way that they could sleep together.

----

Maggie was also ready for bed, especially considering that they would likely be up bright and early. Nowadays sleeping in was a foreign concept, after all. When Josh said that he was ready to get to sleep she nodded, said a quick goodbye to the girls, and then got to her feet. She held her hand and walked towards a quiet place in the church that was big enough for the pair of them - with so many bodies it was bound to feel a little crowded but as a group they had slept in much smaller, tighter spaces than this. Compared to those days, like the first winter after the world ended where they were constantly on the move. Hell, compared to some of the places they had to stay back then, this church was a five star hotel.

After picking a spot she sat down, using her hold on her husband's hand to urge him down beside her. Once they were sitting she shrugged her boots off and then leaned in to place a soft kiss to Josh's mouth, her lips parting slightly. It was never simply one kiss with Maggie, though - one was followed by a second then a third and once she pulled away she gave him a happy smil. Despite everything that was going on, she was and would always be completely in love with him, and even if tomorrow would mark a change in their path at least they were doing it together. "Good night my love," she said in a soft tone with her lips still inches from her husband's. Her accent was obvious in the way she spoke, soft but still very much there. After that she needed to lean in for a "final" good-night kiss (it would likely not be the last).

Likewise, Tara bid the other couple a good night. Even though she did enjoy their company, the woman much preferred being alone with her girlfriend. Listening to the blonde reaffirm the need for sleep, Tara responded with a bright smile. The gentle squeeze did tell her they needed to move. Even though it was a comfortable position, it was not final. For the following seconds, Tara remained mostly quiet until Angela had finished moving around. “I know. I love you, too... so much. I think you already know how I want to sleep, though.” Tara winked playfully before dropping down onto the ground beside her girlfriend. “I think I’ll go with boobs as a pillow.” Giggling happily, she waited until Angela agreed with the idea. It was easily Tara’s favorite sleeping position, it always had been. However, she did not mind mixing it up. Little spoon. Big spoon. Letting Angela use her breasts as a pillow instead. They were all valid choices.

Before settling her head onto the woman’s chest, Tara stole another kiss from her lover’s lips. “Good night, babe. I love you so much.” Closing her eyes with a smile on her face, the woman drifted to sleep quickly. She stayed asleep, just like this, resting quietly against her girlfriend. She did not awake until the following morning when the others were moving around too. She hated having to wake the peaceful, sleeping Angels, but they needed to get moving. She placed a kiss onto her lips, hoping to wake her up in a loving manner. “Babe, time to get up. It is morning.”

--

Following Maggie away from the two females, Josh settled down whenever she chose a location for them to rest. After the first kiss, Josh knew he should expect at least one more. He returned each peck of the lips, unable to help himself from smiling. Whenever he saw the woman smile, it was impossible to not return the gesture. Her happiness was synonymous to his own happiness, after all. “Good night, Maggie. I love you.” After the declaration of love, Josh found his lips attached to hers one final time. As anticipated, when it was over, Josh needed just one (maybe two) more kisses before going to sleep. So, he took them, kissing her lips once, then kissing her neck, kissing the corner of her lips, and finally pressing firmly against her lips a final time. Once he was actually finished, Josh pulled away from her a final time.

His arms wrapped tightly around Maggie’s waist, his hands locking around her waist. He moved so she could put her back against his chest, his face buried against the back of her head. Some might not have liked the feeling of strands of hair in his face all night, but Josh truly did not mind it. Her hair was soft, and it just made him feel happy, for whatever reason. The male slept soundly after closing his eyes, deciding to tangle one of his legs with both of hers before drifting into an unconscious state. Finally, morning came, interrupting the peaceful slumber that Josh felt. Knowing they didn’t have time to waist, he brought one hand up to caress the side of her face while his mouth trailed warm kisses along her shoulder. He didn’t say anything, though. He only let his actions and his body wake her up so they could get started on their new adventure.

"How did I know?" Angela replied with a teasing remark, but she loved being a pillow. She loved using Tara as a pillow, too - and spooning and pretty much any way that she could fall asleep with that beautiful girl. Angela wasn't picky because everything was a good choice. Tara cuddled up to her and she wrapped her arm around the brunette's form, and it didn't take long before she too fell in to a slumber. Like every night spent at Tara's side, she slept rather peacefully. Once upon a time Ange had not been a morning person - and frankly that was still the case. She could get her ass up on command but she would be at least a little grumpy while doing that. At first all Tara got for her was a displeased groan, but as soon as those beautiful lips of Tara's pressed to hers Ange's attitude changed - at least a little bit.

Barely conscious, she moved just enough to wrap her arms around her girlfriend's body, and hold Tara's lips against her own. After a moment her baby blues peered open, eyelids barely daring to separate, and as soon as she laid eyes on the love of her life her lips turned in to a slight smile. "Hey beautiful," she said before pullng away from Tara's lips just enough to let out a yawn. Her fingertips found the brunette's hair and started running through the locks but only for a minute. After all, Tara was right - and if she spent much longer in such a peaceful moment there was a decent change Angela would find herself passed out again. She took her hands off of Tara's body, which felt like a crime in its own right, and stretched her arms up above her head. "Is anyone else awake yet?" She asked as she leaned up just a bit.

----

Maggie fell in to the nooks of Josh's body with ease, ending up on her side with his arm around her waist and legs mingled together. Before passing out her fingers tangled loosely with one of his hands and just like that she felt peaceful enough to fall in to a slumber. The night was dreamless but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing, and morning seemed to come within seconds. Maggie had still been fast asleep when Josh started kissing her, trying to rouse her from her slumber in a peaceful, comforting manner. It didn't take long before she grew aware of what was going on, and she let out a small moan as she clasped her fingers tight within her husband's. She didn't want to wake up but she never wanted to wake up - and it only took her a few moments in half-consciousness to realize that the sooner she got moving the better.

"Five me minutes," she barely managed to say as she dug her body against Josh's, pressing against his flesh. She didn't mean to tease, not in that moment at least, but her ass rubbed up against him and the way she grasped at his hand effectively had him touching her breast. She continued to make small, subtle movements for a few moments before her green eyes finally opened slowly, and she turned her head to look to the man of her dreams. In her eyes Josh barely ever looked better than he did first thing in the morning, when she got to lay her eyes on his handsome figure for the first time that day. To some people the newness of such a thing would wear off, but Maggie didn't think it was possible to "get used" to waking up with him. Each morning that came was a blessing, only amplified by having him at her side. "We really do gotta get up don't we?" She mumbled as she released his hand in order to rub sleep out of her eyes.

No matter how displeased Angela acted early in the morning, Tara still found it adorable. She was so cute while groaning and attempting to wake up. Tara just giggled softly when Angela started moving around. Her lips were still tingling after the kiss. The brown eyes gazed deeply into Angela’s, watching her face while she was beginning her day. Waking up beside the beauty never got old. It always brought a smile to Tara’s face when she could start off with a kiss to Angela’s lips. Her arms were locked around Angela’s in return when she felt the blonde embrace her. “Hey, gorgeous.” Tara responded with a grin on her lips. Leaning into the touch that Angela placed into her hand, a smile formed on Tara’s face again. “You’re too cute when you yawn, you know? I love watching you wake up.” There were so many little things about Angela that Tara adored, and these things were some of them.

As much as she wanted to stay cuddling with Angela, Tara knew they needed to get moving. “Yeah, everyone is starting to get up already. We should probably get moving, talk to Abraham, talk to Josh and Maggie. We don’t have much time to sit here and kill, sadly.” Forcing herself away from the sweet embrace of Angela, Tara moved into a standing position. Her arms and legs stretching out, ready to get moving. She looked towards Abraham, seeing him interacting with Rick, giving the leader a map of the route they were taking to Washington. She could also see Josh and Maggie waking up, preparing to speak with the two men as well. “Josh and Maggie are getting up, let’s go to them, and find out what we’re doing next.” She murmured softly, but not before pressing a kiss onto her soft lips once more time.

--

“Sadly, my love, we do.” Josh responded, chewing on his lower lip. She might not have meant to tease him, but it sure as hell was working. Feeling her ass pressing and shifting against his crotch was not exactly something he could ignore. Plus, finding his hand on her breast until she released his hand to rub her eyes made him feel these feelings as well. Still, he would be alright. He knew, whenever they had an opportunity again, he could find a release with her. Forcing himself to pull away, Josh planted one more kiss onto the woman’s lips before pushing himself into a standing position. The young man stretched out his body, watching everyone else beginning to wake up as well. Turning his attention back onto Maggie, Josh grabbed the woman’s hands, helping her up to her feet. Once she was standing, facing him, Josh simply embraced her, giving her a warm hug before pressing another one of his “good morning” kisses onto her mouth. Just like every night before they fell asleep, the morning when they woke up was full of touching and kissing. Josh would not have it any other way. He was thankful for the contact.

After releasing Maggie’s body from his, the male reached down to grab one of her hands so they could get prepared for the day. Josh snatched his bag, sliding it over his shoulders. The first thing he did was approach Tara and Angela. It seemed like they were just waking up as well, so that was good. “Hey, you two still ready to do this?” Josh asked, wondering if they had changed their mind. When it was confirmed that they wanted to see it through, Josh led the way. Abraham and Rick were still talking, planning about the future. Once they reached the two men, Josh decided to call their attention and say that himself, and these others were interested in joining Abraham, Eugene, and Rosita to Washington D.C.

Angela let out another groan as she urged herself in to a sitting position, reluctant but able. As Tara leaned in to give her another kiss Ange met her part way as she'd had the same plan, and then they were up and moving. The blonde kept close to her girlfriend the whole time, from the moment that she sat up through a quick conversation with Josh and Maggie until they had all approached Abraham and the others as a group. That conversation went well and it wouldn't be long before they were on the move. Abraham wanted to leave pretty quickly now that he didn't have to wait to get people to follow and Angela was okay with that. As nice as this group seemed, everyone that she felt close(ish) to would be leaving with her. So she walked back to where the girls had settled down for the night with Tara's hand in hers and then grabbed her bag, getting ready to go. In the corner of her eye she could see Maggie still talking to Rick, though at this point she was being handed some canned goods.

"You ready babe?" She asked Tara after slugging her bag over her shoulders. Ange leaned in to kiss the brunette's cheek and then took her by the hand once more, while the other rested with a thumb in one of the belt loops of her jeans. Her fingertips traced over her knife, the sole weapon that she had, and instinctively curled over the handle. At this point the other pair had walked away from the group and it seemed that everyone was ready to get heading out.

----

Maggie didn't miss the way that Josh's body had reacted to her movements, and as she turned to look back at his handsome face she knew that she would make up for the teasing at the earliest convenience. For a couple minutes they kissed and cuddled, enjoying the quiet before they joined the waking world. After they finished, reluctantly, they got up and Maggie stole one more hug from him, a tight squeeze around the waist paired with a happy smile. She grabbed her bag as well and slung one strap over a shoulder, following closely behind Josh. The couple approached Angela and Tara, and once everyone was on the same page about still wanting to go the four approached Abraham, Eugene and Rosita. Josh spoke up to let them know that the group was interested in joining. The trio, especially Abraham, were pleased about that. Rick seemed less thrilled but Maggie handled talking to him - the would like end up no more than a couple days apart and as long as they stuck to the course on the map that would not be too terrible. A period of separation would be worth it if they truly did find a cure.

In the end everyone was in agreement, and they would be leaving shortly as Abraham did not want to wait much longer. Having some people go along made him less inclined to wait until noon, so everyone was instructed to get their stuff together and get on to the bus which had just been fixed up. No one had more than the pack on their backs, but some of the canned goods from the pantry that had been raided shortly after arriving at the church had been spared to the group that were parting ways. Maggie hugged some of the people she was closest to before retreating to the door to take Josh's hand and make her way out.

“Yes, I’m ready.” Tara responded with a soft smile gracing her lips. Standing from the position, Tara double checked her bags one final time before agreeing it was time to move. She reached down for her girlfriend’s hand, her eyes scanning towards the exit. When she spotted the other couple, the brunette started walking forward. When they walked by the rest of the group, a couple of the others did say a goodbye to Tara and Angela, but there was no send off like there was for Josh and Maggie. It was anticipated though. Not everyone felt as strongly about the pair as Josh and Maggie did, but there was certainly good progress being made. When they walked out of the church, Tara spotted the other five people heading towards the church van. Abraham had been working on it most of the morning, making sure that it would run fine. When the two women joined everyone on the bus, she could see Abraham sitting down in the driver’s seat with Rosita and Eugene taking a seat down in the two seats directly behind the front.

Tara walked her girlfriend to a couple rows back before sitting down since Josh and Maggie had seemingly taken the seat as far back as possible. She dropped her bags and Angie’s bags onto the seat opposite from them so they have more room together. She sat down beside the blonde after deciding whether Angela wanted a window seat or an aisle seat. Nonetheless, when they all sat down and prepared for the ride, Abraham was telling everyone to get ready to save the world as he turned the key inside the ignition, propelling them forward.

--

Even though some of their people did not like the idea of Josh and Maggie leaving, the couple managed to speak some sense into them. If this cure was a real thing, then they could be part of something special. It was not just something they were doing for them. It was for everyone. Plus, Abraham left a detailed map with instructions on the plans he had for D.C., leaving it with Rick. Rick and the others agreed to meet up with everyone in Washington D.C. once Carol, Daryl, and Beth had been found. After the goodbyes, Josh linked hands with Maggie. He could see the other pair getting ready to leave, so they went ahead towards the bus. When they arrived, Josh decided to walk himself and Maggie to the back of the bus, recalling some fond high school memories. When they sat down, Josh decided to wrap one arm around her shoulders, pulling her into his chest. “I remember our freshman and sophomore year of high school… we’d sit in the back every day, we’d cuddle, we’d kiss, and the driver would get so pissed when we kept touching.” He laughed softly, nuzzling their noses together. When they started driving, they would always ride to school together as well.

Sitting in the back of anything was something Josh loved doing with Maggie for the privacy it provided. Once they were ready to get moving, Josh started kissing down her neck, his hands roaming around her shoulders. “I love you, baby. This can be great for us. I know everything will end up working out. In the mean time, I think we’re going to enjoy some cuddling together on the trip.” Josh did intend to have his hands all over his wife during the journey. The bus started moving now, and Josh had a great feeling that this was going to work out.

Angela took the window side of the seat, tucked in close to the wall, and held her hand out to Tara to pull her in to the spot next to her. Given the fact that the girls had effectively been grinding on each other the previous night before heading off on their own, it wouldn't seem like Ange was the type to have reservations about public displays of affection - and she didn't, not really. She did have boundaries, though, and unless she was drunk and not thinking straight any touching done in the presence of others was pretty tame. She considered it a respect thing - obviously other people on this bus did not (which she didn't really care too much about given that Maggie and Josh were hiding in the back - as long as they didn't start groping and grinding on each other). If Tara wanted to cuddle up then Angela turned sideways in the seat to pull the brunette back against her that way; if not she settled for a simple handhold.

They were on the move pretty quickly, and she flashed Rick's group a quick smile and wave through the window as they vanished in to the distance. Ange had make sure to thank them before leaving, they had taken her and Tara in after all, but she didn't feel very bad about leaving them behind. She barely even knew the people currently on the bus and they were the ones she'd been around the most. As the church vanished in to the distance she squeezed Tara - either her hand or her waist depending on how she had wanted to sit. "I know I've probably thanked you a million times for being in my life already, but I need to say it again. Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you babe, and I'm so happy to be on this journey with you."

----

Maggie was thinking about the same memories as Josh lead the way to the back seat of the bus, and she fell in to it right beside him. She was nearly on his lap and she was okay with that - because almost as soon as she had sat down, Josh had pulled her nice and close. It was nothing new for them to be affectionate with each other and given the familiarity it was hard not to fall back in to old habits. As he talked about their history, the old days when things were simple and easy and they were nothing but two touchy teenagers in love, she couldn't help but smile and laugh. Maybe they didn't need the privacy (was it really right to get all touchy with so many people around?) but Maggie definitely appreciated it, and she agreed that they would likely have some good cuddle time along the way. It wasn't like they were needed immediately, and everyone seemed content to leave them alone - though that was probably exacerbated by the fact that they pulled away from the group immediately.

"I think I like the sound of that," she said in response, her drawl coming out as she spoke and then brought a gentle hand to Josh's cheek, turning his head just enough that she was able to press her soft, full lips to the flesh of his cheek. Obviously she was not going to let things get too out of hand, she had a lot more respect for others than she did when she was younger, but the way that they were currently kissing and touching was impossible to say no to even if she wanted to. Besides, it was tame. After adjusting her position so that she was nice and close to Josh, her hand found his thigh and gave it an affectionate squeeze.

Tara shared Angela’s sentiments regarding public displays of affection. In her opinion, they were both more conservative about touching in public before the apocalypse. That did not mean they abstained from having hands on each other, but it was much more tame than what it was now. After all, it was not like they had any rules or regulations of society to worry about anymore. Furthermore, since the world was so unpredictable, they could lose each other at any point. It was a grim, cold reality that they both needed to understand. Once it was understood, they would begin valuing time together even more than before. For Tara, it meant taking advantage of every opportunity she had of touching and kissing her girlfriend. That was something she cherished deeply. Cuddling up did sound like a great idea. This was not some crowded public bus, so Tara happily leaned against Angela, her back against the blonde’s chest. It was such a comfortable position, allowing her to easily turn her head and press a kiss onto her lips, offering her a sweet smile while locking eyes with her for a brief moment. Tara immediately felt relaxed, hoping for the best even though this trip was dangerous without any guarantees. Then, she listened to Angela thanking her, which brought a bigger smile to her face.

“Aw, babe. No need to thank me. I love you so much and there’s nobody else I’d rather spend time with, especially now. No matter what happens, I’m so happy to be here with you. Nothing will change that. I’m never going anywhere, I can promise you that.” After offering her another smile, Tara stole one more kiss from her girlfriend’s lips. “Whatever happens in D.C., I’m happy that we did this together. I like the idea of us being part of the group that helped deliver the cure. That thought is so special, so sweet. I like the idea of us making a difference outside of our own lives.”

--

Honestly, Maggie probably had more respect for other people than Josh did when it came to the idea of touching and kissing in public settings. It had always been like that. On many occasions, teachers and administrators at their high school were forced to scramble them away from one another between classes. He remembered using the side hallways where not many adults roamed so they could get a good feel and kiss in. Josh remembered how their friends always hated watching them eat lunch together at the table since they were always touching one another. It never bothered Josh. At the same time, he realized the same thing that she did. There was nothing too wild they could do right now, so he settled down enough for some cuddling and kissing as the bus started moving forward. “I love you, beautiful.” Josh whispered into his wife’s ear, slowly threading his fingers through her long hair. Then, he nuzzled his nose against her cheek, simply looking to give her some affectionate loving and care as much as possible. Plus, he knew that she was still probably quite worried about Beth, rightfully so.

The thing that Daryl told them about her abduction was unnerving. On the other hand, he did choose to be positive, hoping that they could find her soon enough. The group was still looking for her, maybe Daryl had picked something up on her trail. Either way, they did know that Beth was strong and could handle herself. This world was so horrible, but they both decided to believe that she was going to be alright. It was even more important to Josh to keep making her smile, to keep her mind occupied. He wanted her to be happy, and he wanted to be the cause of her happiness in a time like this.

Luckily, by now the pair knew each other well enough to know what kind of stuff was and wasn't okay. Angela had most definitely relaxed her opinion of being touchy in public since they had left school and work and what had once been normal "day to day" life because, obviously, things weren't normal any more. It was important to stay close to the people that she cared about because any day could be the last. While she still stayed on the tame side, she didn't care nearly as much about having her hands on Tara around people she wasn't yet comfortable with as she would have in the past. Angela was more than happy for Tara to take the opportunity to cuddle, and pulled the brunette close to her so that she could rest her chin against the other woman's shoulder after accepting the sweet kiss. Ange's arms found their way around Tara's waist and that was that - there was no place in the world that she would have rathered been than right where she was.

"Shush, I'm thanking you anyways," she laughed as she accepted that second kiss. She didn't actually want Tara to be quiet because she loved hearing those affirmations that the brunette wanted to be around, but Tara wasn't the only one who liked to make her appreciation clear. Angela had always been big on making sure that her girlfriend always knew that she was loved and appreciated, even in the few moments over the last few years that they had gotten in to arguments. "Every day that you choose me is a day worth thanking you for it, whether you'd rather be somewhere else or not. There's no one else I would rather have at my side, especially doing something as big as we could be."

----

When it came to getting handsy, Maggie preferred to be at least just slightly out of sight - and there was a thrill that came with knowing someone could catch them at any moment, especially when they were younger and their hormones were only amplified. While those may have calmed down it was only slightly; just like when they were young the pair were still inseparable and they still did enjoy being hands on. Whether it was cuddling, holding hands or just touching each other casually Maggie always appreciated when Josh was within arm's reach. Kisses (of the calmer variety) were also very, very welcome. If there was a chance that they couldn't be caught she would have been more than happy for things to get more passionate but that simply wasn't the case.

"I love you too," she whispered back as she wriggled further in to his hold. The bus continued to drive on and she was content to stay there in his lap the entire time. Things stayed mostly quiet for a while, though Maggie kept herself occupied with soft chatter to her husband. Occasionally they would be pulled in to conversation with the others and Maggie at least was more than content to chat as needed to but during the down time she was happy to just talk to Josh or even just stay there in the quiet. It wasn't awkward nor uncomfortable - over the years the pair had grown very comfortable with each other even in the quiet that newer or less secure couples would find to be stressful or even problematic. With her head leaned back against his chest she kept her breathing even and deep. She was definitely worried about Beth and that was one of the things that the pair spoke about. They didn't even know if the blonde was actually alive still and as much as Maggie wanted to hold on to the hope that she would see her sister again, she was also preparing to never see that girl's angel face again.

She had just closed her eyes, falling in to a soft slumber, when everyone inside the bus was shaken as it swerved and then tipped over too fast to even properly react.

Everything was going wonderfully well (perhaps that should have been a warning!). Tara and Angela continued talking and cuddling, eventually getting some rest. Tara was awake when shit turned south. There was a loud pop, which signaled one of the tires being blown out. “Oh shit, Angela!” She squealed while Abraham had difficulty controlling the bus. Shit. It was a miserable place to have something in the bus fuck up. They had just passed his field of walkers that were undoubtedly attracted to the machine, especially now because of the loud sound that just shot through the air. Abraham was swerving, which ended with the bus being flipped on the side, skidding a few yards before it ceased. Tara was thrown across the seat, ending up against what was the roof of the bus. Tara hit her head pretty hard, which caused her vision to go blurry. There was a cut right above her eye that was starting to believe.

What the fuck happened? What did they do? “Ah… fuck…” Then, it hit Tara – what about Angela? Oh, fuck it. This was not good. It was tough to see anything right now. Hell, it was tough to hear. Ears were ringing and the sounds of commotion from the front of the bus reached her, but she could not decipher it very well. Within a few seconds, she finally recovered to a state of coherency. Looking around, she found wherever Angela landed and grabbed her hand. “Babe, oh shit! Are you alright? We need to get out of here.” She called out when the smell of gasoline started reaching her nose. This was not good. This bus might explode or catch fire at any second. If it did, well, they were all fucked, so getting out was imperative.

--

Just like Maggie, Josh had begun to slip into a state of slumber. It was quickly interrupted, though. His eyes opened when the bus swerved. At that point, everything seemed to move in slow motion. Looking out the window, he could see the holy hell they had just driven straight into while crashing the bus. When it began tipping over, Josh had an impossibly tight grip on Maggie, hoping if he could keep her close to his body, a few things could happen: he would take most of the impact, he could shield her body from debris, and it would end in an overall better result for his wife. The tight grip on her did not end until after the bus had fallen and skidded to a halt. Both of his hands were also up, over her head to shield her face from anything else that could have flown around. In a situation like this, it was impossible to guarantee that she was getting out safely but he damn sure was going to try. Eventually he looked down to Maggie and quickly scanned over her body, hoping that she was not hurt too bad.

It did seem like Josh could have taken most of the impact. There were scratches and cuts all along his arms. He had a slight bump on the top of his head which gave him a splitting headache. Josh did not want to self-diagnose himself, but he remembered one time in high school, he got a concussion during a football game. He felt just like he did right now. Either way, he could regain his composure quickly enough to realize they needed to get the hell out of this bus.

“Fuck… this thing’s about to explode. We gotta get moving.” He murmured to Maggie, taking the step forward and pushing the rear doors open. He could hear commotion near the front of the bus, hoping that the others would follow the path out the back. “Alright, Maggie. Come on. You first.” Josh ordered, pushing her out the door, soon following her as well. Then, he held the door open for the others to pile out as well. However, they had quite the problem ahead of them with the dead closing in. There was nowhere to run, so they had no choice but fighting them.

As the bus toppled, Angela's hold on her girlfriend slipped. She tried to cling - she really did - but in the end Tara was tossed and so was she. Luckily she managed not to hit her head - which was a miracle in itself. "I'm fine," she said as she squeezed Tara's hand. "Come on let's go," she then said as she scrambled over to her lover's spot and did whatever she needed to in order to help Tara get to the back of the bus, whether that was simply a held hand or more of a support. She'd go as slow as she needed to but at the same time they definitely were in a rush. The last thing that they needed was to be trapped in a burning bus - if that happened, both of their lives would end today. She also saw Eugene still inside and urged him to get moving. After all, what was the point of surviving this mission if the man of the moment didn't make it?

----

Maggie wanted to hold back to help the others out but she knew that Josh wouldn't tolerate it - in fact he pushed her out before she even had a chance to think straight. While she didn't think she was hurt, she definitely was stunned and only once her feet hit the ground did she properly realize what was going on. She eyed their surroundings as the others made it out of the bus - and the dead were definitely moving in. She grabbed her knife and raised it, preparing to bury it in to the skull of one of the closest ones. "We're gonna have to fight our way out of this," she said. While she was mostly talking to Josh, it was also a statement to the group in general. She hoped that the crash hadn't hurt anyone too bad, especially given that they were going to have to fight.

Unfortunately, Eugene appeared too petrified to even move. That was going to be a big fucking problem. A walker tried to bust in through the window, near Eugene. Pulling away, reluctantly, from her girlfriend, Tara quickly stabbed the rotted head before it could attack Eugene. “Come on, Eugene. It is time to be brave!” She shouted, hoping that was enough to get him moving. The woman even gave him a knife he could use, which he took and followed Tara and Angela outside. Finally, everyone was away from the bus and moving around. Just then, a walker came up behind Tara, but Eugene actually stepped up and killed it before she could be attacked. It took them at least ten minutes, but they were finally able to take down all the walkers around them. Tara made sure that Angela stayed close during the encounter, making sure that she was not harmed during the process of fighting. It did appear that she was fine. Abraham said someone should check Eugene to make sure he wasn’t hurt, so Tara basically pulled Angela with her to check him out. If he was, the nurse here could help him, but Eugene looked unharmed.

Even though everyone was important, Abraham obviously wanted to make sure that Eugene was not hurt. The mission was clear and this man might be the cure that everyone had been looking for. However, Tara thought it was suspicious that Eugene wanted to return back to the church already. Shouldn't he want to do whatever he could to get the cure to people he knew in D.C.? It was almost like Eugene felt guilty about almost getting these people hurt or even killed in the crash, but Tara decided to not voice her opinion right now.

--

When the walkers were defeated, Josh quickly pulled Maggie towards him. After ensuring that everyone was safe, Abraham suggested they grab their supplies from the bus before moving on. Unfortunately, before they could get back to the bus, it caught up in flames, exploding to destroy every piece of evidence it even existed. The only things they had were any bags they managed to snag before exiting the accident. Eugene suggested that they should move back to the church while Abraham insisted they kept going with the mission. Basically, Josh was in support of continuing on since it was so important to get to D.C. If they did this successfully, it would be worth the wait. However, Abraham took a nasty hit during the crash. Before they went on, they needed to make sure the older male was good to go. It seemed like he was, so once everyone was reassured that the mission was still on, the group decided to move out, hoping to find something else they could use for transportation other than their own legs. It was going to be a long road ahead, but the positives from doing this would far outweigh anything they encounter now.

As they began walking, the male reached down for his wife's hand again. He managed to snag one of their backpacks before exiting the bus, but that was about it, other than the gun and knife he had on him. "You alright?" He asked softly, hoping that the woman was holding it together now since the mission just got a whole hell of a lot harder.

Of course the man would end up being scared shitless - when hadn't he been so far? It was kind of disappointing that Eugene couldn't even look after himself enough to get himself out of the bus, but at least the women were able to help him out. He looked un-injured but they would have to wait until the crowd of the dead were gone before she would be able to properly check him out. Ange kept close to her girlfriend's side the entire time and didn't even spare a foot between them unless she absolutely had to. Once everything was dead, she obviously decided to go help out. Eugene got the first check over of course, given that he was the VIP of this mission, but Ange was extra careful about looking Tara over as well, and then everyone else in order of who seemed to have it worst. She herself had no worse than a couple scrapes here and there, luckily. Things could have been much, much worse and life could have been lost.

Eugene did look suspicious, though. If his mission was so important why would he want to turn back? That seemed way too cowardly, even for him. It wasn't her place to say anything, she knew virtually nothing about this group still, but she would be keeping her eye on him. Like the others, she was in agreement that they should keep moving on. While the bus was now useless, they should be able to find a car or something nearby. If not... Well, night was going to come so they needed a roof over their heads anyways. They wouldn't make it back to the church before darkness fell.

----

It absolutely sucked to lose their supplies to the bus fire. They hadn't had nearly enough in the first place and now they had even less - the only weapon that Maggie had on her was a knife, and she'd left her bag under the seat before the bud had toppled. She'd had a few days worth of canned goods for them to eat - a terrible loss. While they weren't outright screwed, they were not in a good place now. As Angela did her rounds on the whole group, Maggie had stuck by Josh's side. "I'm good, just a few scratches and nothing that seems too major," she promised him as she gave him a tight squeeze and then a kiss. "What about you? It looked like you took quite the tumble, I hope you're alright."

When Angela passed them over, Maggie had said she was fine - the blonde didn't seem to believe that. She appreciated the other woman's concern, but the worst of her injuries was a touch of dizziness. She had no major open wounds, cuts or gashes and no searing headache. It seemed like she was going to be just fine. Like the others, she thought that it was important to continue on the mission. Even if they had to walk some ways in order to find a place to hold out for the night or a car to keep moving in, that would be much better than turning back.

Not long after the crash, it was revealed that Eugene lied about having a cure. The group was upset at him, rightfully so. However, Tara was among the members that believed in forgiveness, that Eugene should not be exiled or punished, even if Abraham seemed like he might kill him for a split second. It was tough to continue on, but the group started the journey, trying to link back up with the rest of the group. They did, just outside of Atlanta and the Grady Memorial Hospital. Tara did not know the girl, but she knew the girl was Maggie’s sister. Beth was killed during the rescue attempt, which left everyone in the group devastated. Still, they were forced to continue on, to look for something better in Richmond, where Beth had intended on heading when she escaped the hospital. Tara and Angela quickly became assimilated and accepted in the group, much easier than the brunette thought.

Following that catastrophe at Richmond where Tyreese was killed, the group fell on hard times with little food, water, supplies, or shelter. They were being watched, though, confronted by a man after one of the worst storms Tara had ever seen. The group was eventually talked into the offer of going to a community, a place called Alexandria. Tara was surprisingly optimistic about it, believing that it could be something beneficial for the group, she wanted to believe it was real. Now, she was riding along in the small RV that the group had, approaching the gates of this supposed safe haven – her hand was in Angela’s, hoping for the best.

--

Tragedy happened. They found Beth, but she was dead before they could even see her. Of course, Maggie was crushed, but Josh was, too. All his life, she had been like a little sister to him, always believing she would be his sister-in-law, even as a teenager. Maggie and Josh grieved together, but despite how horrible it was, they did not let their spirits die. No. Beth would want them to keep fighting, to keep living as best as they could. That was how they honored her, so they kept soldiering on. If anything, it only brought them closer together. Life was so finite, and that was just proven to them in a gruesome, brutal way. Josh held Maggie tighter, he loved Maggie harder, and promised to never let themselves get separated. When the group was found by Aaron, Josh was more skeptical at first, but Maggie eventually talked him into being open to the idea.

When the convoy of vehicles arrived to Alexandria, they were told to stop, exit their vehicles. Josh climbed out of the truck with Maggie, linking hands with her as the gates opened. He could hear the sounds of children playing and laughing in the streets. With each second that passed, the more of the community he could see – and it looked just like it was advertised, houses upon houses, just like it was untouched by this outside world.

Just when the group had been reunited and things had started to seem like they were looking up, the world crashed down around them once again. First she lost her father and then as Daryl carried her sister’s limp body out of the hospital she lost her sister as well, which left Maggie truly without any part of her birth family. She wasn’t along, though. She had the family that she had made along the way as she trudged through the apocalypse, a group who had each other’s backs through whatever may come. More than that, she still had Josh. If it wasn’t for him, the day she lost Beth may have became the day that she gave up. A true partner kept someone strong, though, and like always that man had done everything he could to lift her spirits and remind her of how Beth would have wanted her to carry on. Her was right, of course. He reminded her to soldier on and keep fighting.

She was skeptical at first when the group first found Aaron, but it wasn’t long before she saw it as an opportunity - a light at the end of the tunnel. Kids, power, walls. Maggie had seen enough of the bad in the world to know she needed to maintain her reservations about what this place could offer, but she was a dreamer who would never stop holding on to hope and trying to find salvation even if it would never come.

“Hey, this place does seem really nice,” she remarked as she tucked her body close to Josh’s, squeezing his hand as they finally made their way through the gates. They had been asked to hand over their weapons and that left her feeling nervous, but that wasn’t enough to put her off… yet. There was no telling what was going to happen from here but the first impression was positive, and she looked around the walled-in community with wonder. it seemed almost pristine, like it had been untouched by the outside world this whole time. “Well kept at the very least, which is hard to find these days.”

"Yeah, it really is well-kept." Josh agreed. It was only natural that he kept Maggie close to his side the entire time. His arm remained looped with hers, keeping her body close to his own. Josh was protecting her, ready to fight any threat that showed up. Plus, he just wanted to make sure that everyone here in the community knew that the gorgeous woman joining their town was very much taken! Part of the initiation process was doing an interview with Deanna Monroe, the community's leader. Apparently, she used to be a congresswoman from Ohio, and now she was a leader in this community. She explained that Alexandria was previously a sustainable community complete with its own solar grid, cisterns, and eco-based sewage filtration. These interviews were supposed to be done on an individual basis. However, Josh refused to leave Maggie's side and Deanna eventually caved, allowing the couple to be interviewed.

She seemed to like the way they were so closely connected. It was obvious that relationships like this did not last long in the world anymore. They were also interviewed about their lives before the outbreak and after, trying to find jobs for them. It could be changed, however, Josh seemed like a great fit for the police role with Rick. Maggie could be a leader. Deanna wanted Maggie working with her, trying to learn from her. Basically, Deanna said she wanted this group to help this community to survive. She did a great job of selling it. Josh was becoming more open to the idea the longer they spoke.

Everyone could separate into smaller groups and have their own home. However, the majority of the group wanted to stay together to make sure they were able to stay safe. Josh could understand it, but the idea of actually being in a home with Maggie was wonderful. That was always their goal, right? They wanted to have a life together. They wanted to have a home together. They could make it happen in a roundabout way, so as they stood outside one of the houses watching the rest of the group enter, he spoke. "Maggie, do you think we should stay with everyone? Or... what about using one of the empty houses for ourselves. You can tell me if you think I'm being crazy but I really like the idea of that... of having our own house."

With every moment that passed, Maggie was taking in her surroundings and trying to come to a more thorough judgement of what Alexandria was and had to offer them - the first impression was quite good, she had to admit, but she also knew good and well that oftentimes things weren’t quite what they seemed. All in all the place seemed to be decent, though. Going in to the interview with Deanna, it became clear that she was used to persuading the masses and that her time in congress had given her the kind of skills needed to rope a group like this together and keep morale high. Maggie enjoyed the idea of staying around, and as the interview went on she could see in Josh’s eyes that he was becoming more open to that idea as well. That was good - Maggie would follow her husband wherever he may go, but staying with the group would be ideal.

Maggie was on board with the idea of sticking around a house or two with the majority of the group as they had suggested because she too saw the value in keeping the people she knew and trusted closer. However, just like Josh she found herself in a fantasy world where they had their own little house of their own - in another life, one not so far detached from the one they were living now, that would have been the next step in their life. She’d wanted to stay at home with her father getting older, keep an eye on him and help with the farm - but one day either that farmhouse or maybe one a little bit like that would have been their own to call home.

”It’s like you can read my mind,” Maggie said to him as she wrapped her arms loose but caringly around Josh’s waist. A sweet smile formed on her lips and she tilted her head up to be able to kiss him, as she absolutely loved how they seemed to be on the same page. “Don’t get me wrong, I see the benefit in sticking with the others at least for a little bit. Buut there are other empty houses and I think it would be quite lovely to finally get to play house with you like we’d always dreamed of.” Clearly, the young woman was all on board for the idea, and thrilled that Josh had suggested it.

When Maggie wrapped her arms around Josh’s waist, Josh repeated the process with Maggie. His own arms wrapped around the brunette loosely, too. When she told him that it was like he could read her mind, well, that just put a big smile on his face. It did not shock Josh in the slightest when they were on the same page again. They were always on the same page. So, he stole a kiss from her lips and eagerly nodded his head. “That settles it, then. We’re gonna use one of these empty houses and live in it together. We’ll just play it by ear from there.” Secretly, Josh had been hoping that would be her answer. It appeared that he was given the answer he wanted! “I’m so happy you agreed to this. Let’s tell the others.” Reaching down, Josh linked his fingers with Maggie’s. He walked forward with Maggie until they reached the group. Josh took the liberty to explain their decision to everyone. Sure, it might not be the most logical decision to make. However, he did not really care. It was what they wanted.

They grabbed their bags and their belongings and were soon heading over to another empty house. It was the house right beside the two that the entire group was using. As he gathered their bags, he glanced at Maggie, thinking about how lucky he was again to have her. “I can’t believe we’re doing this. We actually have our house, our very own house.” Of course, Josh loved to make it so much more dramatic by lifting Maggie up into his arms. He wanted to carry her the short distance from this house to their new house. He had a feeling that Maggie would not mind it at all, though. She never did.

Now, he scooped her right up in his arms, keeping her close. “I love you so much, babe.” He whispered into her ear, kissing her on the cheek. He carried her up to the front porch and opened up the door. After that, he pushed inside, dropping their bags down and finally setting Maggie back down onto her own feet once they were inside. His eyes scanned the room and he found it all to be pretty damn impressive. “Wow… this looks so much nicer than anything we’ve had since the farm, really.” Josh pointed out. “What do you think?”

Home - such a strange concept in a world like this, but one that Maggie would love to find solace in nonetheless. It would never be the same as the days back when they were at the farm, but life moved on and they had no choice but to accept that and roll with the punches. Even the prison had felt like home, after a while.

Maggie grinned wide as her husband put her back down on the ground, and she didn’t release her arms from their gentle hold around her neck until long after her feet hit the floor and she’d had a chance to lean in and kiss him. Only then did she take in her surroundings and come to appreciate just how good of a decision choosing their own home had been. The inside of the home looked just as pristine and untouched as the outside, and within seconds the young woman knew that she wished to turn this in to their home more than anything.

”It’s absolutely wonderful,” she said with a grin, the love in her eyes making it clear that even if all they’d had was a run-down shack and the clothes on their backs she would find anything to feel like home as long as she had Josh with her. ”This was a really good decision, I think. Thank you so much for bringing it up, my love. Now - should we check it out a bit more?” She leaned away just enough to gesture towards the living room and the archway towards the kitchen, excited to see what all their little house had to offer.

Of course, Josh thought it was a great idea. However, being able to see the look in his wife’s eyes once she took in the surroundings made it that much better! Josh’s smile continued to grow as she spoke. This was an incredible moment for sure. “I’m glad you think so, babe. I agree. This was the right move to make. I agree. We should check out the rest of this place and see all that it has to offer for us.” Again, Josh eagerly nodded his head, excited to really make their home feel like a real home.

To explore the house, Josh reached out for Maggie’s hand, allowing their fingers to link together as they started walking. The living room was huge, too! “Wow. This looks just like I would have expected our dream house to look, pretty much. We’ve got a sofa, recliners… all kinds of furniture and cabinets. Maybe we can borrow Aaron’s camera or some camera to take some pictures together and set them up here.”

Josh explained his thinking with a smile. “I know, that’s probably really cheesy of me but I can’t help it. I think it would be cute.” Then, they went into the kitchen. They had everything they would really need – oven, sink, drawers, cabinets… a nice table to eat. The lights all worked and everything looked really clean. “Wow, this is truly special.” Josh whispered softly, looking at Maggie. “What do you think so far? Still enjoying it? We still have upstairs to explore as well.” He figured there was at least a bedroom and a bathroom upstairs, but he wasn’t sure what else.

Hand in hand walking through the home, Maggie felt like a newlywed with her husband moving in to their first home together - which in a way was exactly what this experience was. The giddiness left her feeling light from head to toe as they began their short adventure, and with every room they entered she just had to stop and twirl her body around, grab her husband’s other hand and steal a somewhat chaste yet still quite passionate and caring kiss from him. Though she had a lot of domestic and loving ideas flooding through her head at their own little home, she also would have been lying if she tried to claim all of her thoughts were pure... this much private space for them to call their own opened up a lot of opportunities that they hadn’t had since before the world had ended.

“I love that idea,” Maggie said, referencing Josh’s idea about borrowing Aaron’s camera. In a world like this, memories were all that they had for the most part. There would definitely be something magical about being able to capture some of those moments, be able to look back and see the smiles on their faces as they spent a while in peace. As promising as Alexandria seemed to be, it would be a stretch to expect anywhere on this planet to stay safe forever. One day they were likely going to want to have those kinds of memories to look back on fondly. “I might have to go bug him once everything calms down,” she said as they made their way to the kitchen.

Each room left Maggie feeling like she was some kind of nobility in a world like this - these kinds of luxuries were few and far between. “I think we’re going to settle in real nice here,” she said as she brought her hands to Josh’s hips and gently stepped back until her back was pressed against the wall and there was a small gap of space between them. “I think we’ll settle in ever better with a bed of our own again…” She passed her husband a playful grin, a double entendre in her words as she wasn’t just referencing the fact that they’d been without a proper place to sleep for a while.

The experience was breathtaking and Josh was not just referring to the house. Watching Maggie twirling around, giddy with joy as she kissed him made the male feel like he was either embedded within a Disney princess movie or a Lifetime romance movie. These were not complaints. Considering most days were ripped from horror films, it was nice to have a break from the status quo, especially when that status quo often ended in bloodshed and terror. Not a single negative thought would even attempt penetrating Josh’s mind right now. Maggie managed override anything negative with that smile on her face.

“Yeah, it would probably be too much of a bother to fool with it right now. Once we settle in, I doubt he would have an issue with it.” Besides, Aaron was clearly in love with someone, too. His relationship with Eric was a beautiful one, even Josh could see it from outside of their relationship. So, if Josh and Maggie wanted to steal his camera for a fun couples photoshoot in their new home, something told Josh that Aaron would not deny them of that opportunity. Pushing that thought to the side for now, Josh focused on what Maggie said.

The meaning behind her words was not lost on Josh. Even if he had not picked up what she meant based on the words she had spoken, that look in her eyes would have most definitely given it away. “I really like where this is heading. I think we should keep traveling down this road.” Winking, Josh reached down and placed his own hands on Maggie’s hips. Those large hands slid down to the back of her thighs before he lifted up and allowed her to wrap those legs around his waist. Joyfully, Josh carried his wife from that wall into the bedroom, only releasing her once they reached the bed.

From there, not wanting to let her go completely, Josh took a seat on the edge and adjusted Maggie so she could straddle him and face him while he decided to lay back against the bed, now looking up at his wife. “Now, the question is…. Did we want to explore this bed right now? Or did you want to wait?” Josh asked, having no qualms about waiting if she was not feeling in the mood.

Another stream of giggles escaped Maggie’s lips as her husband lifted her up off of the ground and pulled her legs around his waist - instinctively her thighs pressed in to the side of his body and behind him her legs crossed at the shin to hold on to him. There was no doubt in her mind that Josh could support her weight - even if he wasn’t military he had always been strong, and though she was on the taller side she was not a big girl. Nonetheless, she always loved an opportunity to hold on to her husband, cling to him with all of the love that she had.

On the way up to the bedroom she had her temple rested against his shoulder, and more than once along the way she stole an opportunity to lean in and kiss Josh’s neck. Once on the bed Maggie had no qualms about the way they rested together, though she did steal a kiss before Josh laid back. Then, for just a moment, Maggie took a much-needed opportunity to simply admire how lovely this man was. Did she want to wait?

“The longest I’d want to wait is long enough to get in the shower instead,” she said to him - there was no denying that no one was at their cleanest after being on the road for so long. Hot water, soap - each other… Of course, they had always tried their best to stay as clean as possible and they could always share the sweet intimacy of washing each other up and down afterwards. Maggie left the idea in the air, a mischievous look in her eyes telling her husband that one way or another, she wanted to be close to him.

Showering. Of course! Why didn’t Josh think of that? “You know what, babe? I completely looked over the fact that we have running water now. I think that I was so focused on you that I totally forgot about everything else.” When was the last time they had an opportunity to comfortably shower? The prison? Josh did not necessarily count washing off in various rivers and streams! “Let’s get a shower, then.” Before moving away, since Josh finally had Maggie in a bed again, he crawled on top of her. His entire body straddled hers while he leaned down and kissed her passionately.

As always the kiss was full of love and desire, giving her just a hint at what was waiting for her in the shower with him. When Josh pulled back, that smile was still on his face. They had a slice of their own personal heaven for now, however long it would last. “It looks like you’re going for another ride.” By that, Josh meant he was going to carry her to the bathroom just as he carried her into the bedroom seconds ago. Rolling around onto the wide of the bed, he reached down and lifted her up into his arms again.

After Maggie latched on, he carried her into the bathroom and placed her upon the counter with a smile. “There you go babe. I’ll get everything ready for us… you just take off your clothes.” He winked at her, stepping back so he could turn on the water. He grabbed the towels as well, placing them onto the racks of the shower, ready for them to use. There was already soap and shampoo inside, so they just had to get naked and jump in now. He turned to his wife to do that exactly.
