Hi there.

Some friends of mine recently got me into D&D and I find it really fun, but we have not gotten very far and don't play often enough for me to feel super confident in my understanding of everything. I'm interested in getting involved in either D&D or something similar, but I would need to play something where the DM and other players will be beginner friendly.

batman seemed interested to some degree and lilithsboy might have as well, but I'm not sure. The only interactions about this have occurred in this thread so far.

I'm up for that, let this grab attention and measure further interest. But it's up to you, this is your request after all.

Okay, I am setting up something give me a couple minutes, originally I intended to help out with people who had questions or if someone needed things explained to take some pressure off so I am going to fly by the seat of my pants until I get a coherent campaign together.

I made a dice room call Shadows over Nalderin in rolz.org please use that and give me 6 rolls of 4d6 drop one assign them how you like to your stats.

If anyone has questions let me know if you hate the name or want something particular please let me know that too. If you want to use a book other than the PHB or a variant rule let me know and I will look at it.

13, 11, 16, 14, 17, 14.

Damn those are some good stats.

I may want to use the college of swords subclass for the bard. That or valor.

Ah see, where I come from the code would have been b3 instead of h3, for best three, instead of highest 3.

What level do we start at? 1? 3?

Interested as a player, not sure what as. Got 16/14/13/12/12/11 in the rolz. Will wait for setting/ERP/mechanics info before deciding what to make.

EDIT: Hovering over the i though, it shows 6 rolls 1-3 rather than 4 rolls 1-6. I think I fucked up? >.<

I am doing a custom setting so that older players do not have an advantage in understanding the lore. It is 5e. and 1st level.

NOOOO I have to wait till level 3 for my college features!

Sue shouldn't have dropped out of college I guess.

Yep I want new people to get a feel for their characters before they have to start picking features that will define them for the rest of the game.

Normal amount of fear and distrust. I am not changing the aspects of the core book I am simply not going to say we are in a setting like eberron where people who have been playing for years have an advantage.

Sweet, we have a DM.

Stats for me are 13, 12, 16, 15, 11, 12. Pretty average, considering the total (I think).

As for references other than the PHB, I've looked into Xanathar's and want to use a class feature there - mainly a fighter archetype.
