It was not your fault and if those guards where paying attention then we would have had to deal with them it would not have been a problem. " He took the ring from her and placed it back on her finger. "Elise I would rather die because i knew you then live a minuet with out you. But I need you to do something for me. I need you to help me plan one mission. A final mission for me, you, Annabelle, and Adrien. I need your connections to get us across the German lines. I can not risk losing you any more, I want you to come with me to England. "
 
Elise watched as he put the ring back on her finger. She looked at him as he spoke. She shook her head slowly, tears falling down her cheeks. "I can't go to England with you Stephan...I can't leave everything that my parents fought for behind...I know becouse you are not french, it is difficult for you to understand...but...think about it like this. If we were in America right now, and the Germans had taken everything from you, would you be able to run away to safety when there were others fighting for there freedom. Stephan...I joined the resistance to protect my home...and until every last German had been ridden out...I can't leave with you" she said softly.
 
"Elise, I do not want to leave to steal you away from your people from your home. I am scarred that if we keep fighting the Germans may take from me the only thing i care about. Elise the information you have about the ways to sneak around and the supply lines. With that information the allied forces could sweep threw France. With your help they could contact the Resistance and help them. Elise If i can convince Adrian and Annabelle to come with me. ... Will you follow us. " He teared up looking into her eyes the thought of losing her broke his heart.
 
Elise looked at him and said "Stephan....I don't know if I can...." she said looking at him. She looked into his eyes and said "I'm sorry..." she said softly. "Please try to understand" she whispered.
 
"I understand completely Elise will you at least come back with me across the American lines. You will be safe there and still on French soil." He spoke softly staring into her eyes knowing she would be the hardest of them all to convince.
 
Elise looked at him. She looked down and said "Alright". She wiped her tears away and she looked at him and said "I'll go with you to the lines"
 
"Elise i know i can never replace him the best way to honor the dead is to live your life and remember them with every breath. " He spoke softly turning his arm to face her showing 3 faint straight scars. " Every man i lost in combat i bring with me every single day of my life. It means so much to me that your willing to help me not have to place another line on my arm. "
 
Elise looked at him as he spoke and said "It's alright" she told him softly, smiling faintly. She looked at Adrien and said "Right now, we have to make sure he gets better".
 
"He is the last one... If i can convince him to come with me ... I will have you all and from there it becomes about him getting better. Go get some rest I will stay and watch him I want to be here when he wakes up. " He looked at her kissing her softly hoping she realized how much he loved her.
 
Elise looked at him and shook her head. "I slept half the day, I'm not even tired, I'll stay too" she said softly.
 
He nodded remaining silent for a long time as he slipped his hands into hers draping his arms around her causing them to become all twisted up together. "I love you Elise so very much. "
 
"I love you to Stephan" she said holding on to him gently. She looked at him and said "I never want to see you get hurt..."
 
"I would rather die then see you shed a drop of blood my dear. " He spoke softly pressing his lips into her cheek lightly his eyes falling to Adrien next to them his heart paining for him.
 
Elise looked at him and said "But you have already seen me shed blood...as a matter of fact...your blood runs through my veins now"
 
"And that is where i hope to keep it for ever I was devastated when i saw you laying there wounded." He whispered pressing his lips into her neck holding her close tears pouring down his face.
 
Elise looked at him and said "Don't cry...my mother told me that your only allowed to cry when theres no hope left" she said softly. She kissed him gently and said "You'll always be in my heart".
 
"I wont cry if you promise me to stay with me forever!" He smiled kissing her cheek again looking over at Adrien blaming himself for him being in the state he was in.
 
Elise looked at him and smiled and said "I don't think I'll live forever, but I'll stick around for as long as I can" she said softly.
 
"As long as i die first! I could not handle losing you. " He smiled brightly giving her a light squeeze before laying the pair down on the floor so they could rest. "Wait I don't want to cause that kind of pain to you... okay we have to die at exactly the same time!"
 
She chuckled at him and said "Like Romeo and Juliet". She smiled and hugged him softly and closed her eyes, head head on his chest.
 
He smiled running his fingers threw her hair closing his eyes and drifting off quickly his body exhausted from the stress of the day.
 
Elise fell asleep with him. She closed her eyes and slept soundly into the morning. She next morning she woke up with a groan. She heard a male voice. "It's about time, I thought you were going to sleep all day" he said. She looked up and saw Adrien. She looked at him and said "Your awake already?"
 
Stephen smiled opening his eyes hearing the voice. "Figures you would not even have the common decency to die so i can have a decent nights sleep. " He smiled standing up slowly taking Adrien's hand looking into his eyes. "You want me to get Annabelle?"
 
Elise stood up and she looked at him and smiled a little. Adrien chuckled at his response and said "Hah! As if three measly bullets were gonna take me out". He then nodded and said "If could, that would be great" he said.
 
"I do want to talk to you some time soon when you get a chance. " He smiled and turned leaving the room quickly to go fetch Annabelle walking up to her smiling. "Someone wants to talk to you. Something about 3 bullets not keeping him from you. "
