Elise helped Annabelle move him into the back of the closest truck and they began to drive away, the rest of the members taking over the other trucks. Annabelle looked at Adrien. Elise knew she was fighting the tears. Annabelle held his face in her hands. "Adrien, look at me! You have to try and stay awake! I'm going to save you" she vowed.
Adrien, even though he had just been shot three times he had the energy to snicker and said "You wouldn't let me die a quick death anyway" he said smirking at her.
Annabelle looked at him and said "Shut up! Stop talking, just rest!". She said trying to apply pressure to his wounds with Elise helping.
Elise said nothing....she once more looked very solemn.
The trucks were quickly driven away back to their building. Luckily they didn't run into anymore trouble.
Adrien was quickly whisked away to the hospital. They put him down on a bed and Annabelle quickly got to work, though looking a lot more stressed than she always did. She was all over the place. She quickly hooked him up to bloods and to a heart monitor.
"Don't you dare die on me!" she said to him. Adrien smirked, his face looking pale.
Annabelle cut away his clothes and looked at the wounds. She was relieved a little. The bullets were no where near his spine. If they had got him there, it could have meant he would be a paraplegic.
"I'm going to put you to sleep alright" she told him getting out a needle. She did not expect him to reply.
She injected him with the drug slowly. She watched him sleep before she began to remove the bullets slowly. She then stitched him up. The whole time she was sweating bullets, and looking back at the heart rate monitor every few seconds. Her hands shook a little as she worked.
Once she had finished his stitches she wiped the wounds clean and bandaged him. She then had him moved to a clean bed. Annabelle looked at him and breathed in deeply before walking out of the room.
Elise followed her and said "Annabelle...are you alright?"
Annabelle turned around. Her face had an angry expression.
"No! I am not!" she shouted in french.
She pointed to the door she had just walked out of and said "This is your fualt! You said you would be watching! You were just sitting in that building all safe while Adrien was getting shot! I hate you!" she shouted angrilly in french before walking away with tears in her eyes.
Elise stood their watching her. She agreed with her. It was true, everything she said. She never should have planned this mission. She watched as she turned away, her own tears forming in her eyes because of her guilt and shame.
