Is He A Lover or A Fighter? (Part 3) WF+GF

She rubbed his chest and gave his shoulder a kiss. She watched the fight in silence with and let him study. She fell asleep against him and stayed asleep until she heard Owen call out through the baby monitor. She stretched and got up to get him.

“Hi baby. You hungry?” She asked and gave him a kiss on the cheek. She changed him and put him in a Reebok t-shirt and sweatpants that Reebok sent for him. They also sent him shoes and other clothes because Daddy was the current face of Reebok.

She set him down in the bottom stair and went to the kitchen. She got him an apple sauce and water. She made a bowl of fruit to eat and share with Jake and Owen. She took it back into the living room and sat on the couch.

“Mona!” Owen said looking at the TV.

“The boy has spoken. Moana, Daddy.” She smiled. Easily the hundredth time they have seen it but Adri still loved it.
 
Jake watched the last fight of Romero and then turned on ESPN until he too fell asleep. Just relaxing with her was really nice. It was a much needed nap for both of them as well. It would be a bit hectic of a week ahead for both of them.

He stayed on the couch and kept his eyes clothes until Owen ran in the room and smacked his legs. He opened an eye at him. "Hey you big boy. How was your nap?" He just smiled at Jake. Jake turned on Moana. "What if daddy wants to watch something else? Like Sing or Trolls?"

Jake opened his mouth for a piece of fruit. "Where's my drink?" He asked her with a smile. "Whenever you get back up will you get me one? Don't get up for one though." Jake pulled Owen up on the couch so he could eat too. "Do we have more applesauce for us?"
 
Owen shook his He’s with a smile. “Mona!” He said and tried to grab the remote.

Adri tossed a grape into his mouth and sat on the couch. She raised her eyebrows when he asked for a drink. “Say please daddy. We are teaching manners now.” She said and looked at Owen and back at Jake.

She got up and grabbed the apple sauce and Jake drinks. She handed them back after he said pleas and she sat on the couch. Owen was happy on the couch for a little bit. Then the first song came on and he wanted off so he could hop around and dance.

Adri smile at Jake and watched Owen dance. “You dance like your dads Bud.” She laughed.
 
Jake kept the remote. "No it's daddy's." He smiled.

He gave her a look. "Please mommy...." When she sat back down he thanked her and leaned over. "You're lucky he's here or I would have gotten a bit more demanding..." He whispered before kissing her cheek.

Jake ate the apple sauce and watched Owen. "That's a compliment O. Daddy dances as good as Uncle Nick. Mommy is just jealous." Jake got up. "Show mommy to drop it like's hot..." Jake did the move first to show Owen and then Owen tried to do it. "Good job O." He held his fist out to Owen. "Give daddy the fist."
 
“You could have tried. Then you would have gotten your own drink and applesauce.” She laughed. “I don’t take well to demands. Unless you’re naked.” She nipped at his ear and gave him a kiss.

Adri rolled her eyes, “Whatever.” She recorded when Jake got up and danced with Owen. She shook her head and laughed. Owen kept dropping and wiggling his butt back up until he was standing. “That’s cute.” She laughed.

Owen bumped his fist and kept dancing doing anything and everything Jake would do. Adri posted her clips on Instagram and Snapchat and then took a few selfies.

"Are you having fun O?” She asked and for up to dance with them. She twirled Owen around and picked him up so they could swing together.
 
"That's the type of demands they would have been." He grinned and kissed her.

Jake whispered to Owen. "Mommy knows its true. Even ask Uncle Nick." He smiked and kept teaching Owen cool moves.

"Do not teach him quirk Adriana." He told her. Jake danced with Adri and Owen. It was nice to forget about training and just be a family. "I can't wait to marry you and make another one of these cuties." He told her with a smile.
 
Adri sat Owen down so he could dance some more. He held their hands and kept bouncing. The song was off by then but Owen was still happy to have his little dance party.

"I can't wait either." She told Jake and gave him a hug.

"Do you want to be a big brother Owen?" She asked picking him up. "One day you are going to have to share Daddy and me with a little brother or sister." She told him. "You're going to have to share your toys and Max too."

"No!" He yelled.

"Yes. You will. You will be a good big brother and share." She told him and kissed his temple.
 
Jake couldn't believe how big their boy was getting. He was learning more and more every day.

He hugged Adri back. "You had okay with it until you mentioned Mac. He doesn't want to share his Maxi. He will have to share us and Aunt Amy and Uncle Luke in a few months."

"By the time we have baby number two he will be two so it will be easier. He will be our big helper." He kissed his head. "Right baby boy?" He nodded but was watching his movie.

Jake kissed Adri. "After my win we can keep practicing." He smiled.
 
She smiled at him, "True." She should have left Max out of the sharing. Owen was doing well when it came to sharing toys at daycare. So that wouldn't be a problem at home. Max might be a problem.

She nodded her head, "Jeez. He will be two." She said. "Hopefully he will be potty trained or work on it by then too." It would be nice to only have one baby in diapers.

Adri took him to the couch so they could watch the movie again. "I can't wait."

The rest of their evening was a quiet affair. Then their guests started coming. First Brian, who Owen loved to jump on. Then Liam, who asked about the fight and Jake's opponent. Sushi was ordered and Adri put Owen to bed. She stayed up later than she should have but she was enjoying time with her friends and fiancé.

She and Brian did a little talking about work but tonight was supposed to be a relaxing night before the craziness.

Adri and Brian were up very early the next morning to catch their flight. She got her hug and kiss from Owen the previous night so she gave him a kiss on the temple and let him be.

She woke up Jake when she was ready to leave. "I will see you tomorrow." She told him and gave him a kiss. "I love you." She gave him a hug. He didn't have to drive her because he was staying with Owen. Emma would be around later in the morning.
 
'"I know. Our baby boy is growing up. I would definitely prefer that he's potty trained before we have another baby. It will be a lot easier. We can tell Emma get started on it now after we get home. We have that little potty seat so we just will need to put him on it in the morning and stuff like when we are in there. See if that helps. You down for trying when we get back?" He asked with a smile.

Jake had fun just hanging out with everyone. It was nice to have Liam to talk to about the fight and his opponent. Brian wasn't a guy who seemed to really follow fighting.

"Liam is going with you?" Jake kissed Adri back and gave her a hug. "Travel safe baby. Call me when you land?" He gave her another kiss. "I love you Q. Kick some ass. I'll see you tomorrow." He smiled at her.
 
She nodded her head, “I am all for trying when we get back.” She smiled at Owen and gave him a kiss. She looked at Jake, “We can start now. Just by asking him if he has to potty. If his diaper is dirty. That stuff. Get him some paw patrol pull ups. And we need treats.”

She nodded her head, “Yeah. I am taking Owen. I will call you when I land. I love you too.” She gave him another kiss and tucked him back in. He had some hours of sleep before Owen got up for the day.

Adri and Liam got into the car taking them to the airport. She had a million bags compared to Liam’s two. They got checked in and then waited in a first class area until it was time to board the flight. It was a long flight to London. When she landed she sent Jake and her parents a text that she was there.

She didn’t call until she got to the hotel. But she was on a time crunch because all of the girls were getting together to go out to dinner and go out to a club as a group for press.
 
Jake thought about it. "Pull ups would be nice. I'll get some tomorrow. It will give us something to do with mommy being gone. We can go shopping without her!" He dropped his jaw and looked at Owen. "You want to go shopping without mommy?" Jake chuckled.

He nodded. "Okay. Bye babe." Jake went back to sleep before Owen got up. When he woke up he got him breakfast and himself some before Emma arrived. Jake then went to the gym to get one good last training session in with Luke. Luke kicked his ass which worked because he wouldn't get hard sessions in while in London. He showered them went home and got Owen to go shopping.

They got Paw Patrol and Mickey Pull Ups. Owen picked out the Mickey ones and Jake figured if he wore them then he could pick them out. Jake tried to figure out what to get him for treats. He didn't get candy often so he found the individual mini bags of M&Ms. He also bought a traveling potty that folded up and fit in his diaper bag.

They then got some lunch and stopped at the park for a bit before going home. Owen was tired but Jake tried keeping him awake as much as he could but he was cranky so he let have a short nap. He was wondering if Adri would be right about not letting him sleep and paying for it later. He fell asleep on the couch so Jake just let him sleep with him while he watch fight tape.

Jake figured she would just text when she landed, she normally did then called when she had time. He didn't expect much, he'd see the following day and she already told him she landed safe so he wasn't too worried with her with Liam and Brian. When she did call it did make him smile. "Hey babe. Your little man is out sleeping but we got pottying training stuff so we're good to go. I've asked if he has had to go and he keeps saying now. He did pee a little when I set him on it when I went. I'm hoping after his nap he will go. I got M&Ms as a treat. Is that okay?"
 
She laughed, “What happened to keeping awake? Don’t want to deal with the fit on the plane?” She teased and sat on the bed. “I think you’ll like our hotel room. We have a view of the Ferris Wheel and big hen. It’s beautiful. I will check everyone else in tomorrow and get their keys so when you guys arrive I can pass them out in the van and you guys can sleep or do whatever.” She told him.

“Ooh m&m’s? Do I get some when I go potty too?” She laughed. “Yeah. I think that’s a good little treat.” She smiled. “You’re in Dailymail with him, leaving Target. It’s so cute. His hand is in your mouth and you look so annoyed.” She laughed. “Was it a long trip to Target Boo?” She asked.

“Hey Nick might be on your flight. He sent me a text about being able to come. If he is I’m sure you’ll see him but that should help for that long flight. You can talk to Nick, maybe some light spar. Just don’t knock him out.”

She thought about what else they needed to talk about, “Did you send out luggage to New York?” She asked.
 
"No I didn't want to deal with his fit now." He chuckled. "Do you have any time to sight see at all babe? I will skip sleeping if you can go on the London Eye or check something out with me or us. Or even just going out to dinner."

Jake laughed, "I guess so. The dogs get treats when they go outside sometimes so you may as well." He laughed, "I am?" He shook his head. "No I wasn't annoyed. It wasn't too bad. I got him a travel potty and the essentials we need. Then got lunch and hit the park."

He laughed, "Baby I don't think that the pilot would want us sparring on the plane. Owen will like it though."

"Casey did it while I trained. I have the tracking number and he also called the hotel to let them know it was on the way. They said it will be in our room when we get there." He gave her the tracking number in case she wanted to track it herself. "How was your flight babe? Get any rest?"
 
“I might. I know they want to shoot some stuff at night when the city light on and during the day. I can do dinner the day before the show but it can’t be anything heavy.” She said. “I might stick a salad or fruit.” She told him. They wouldn’t be able to go out the day after either because he would be gone. It was a little crazy.

“Oh of course. Everyone should get a treat when they go potty. It will show Owen that it’s a good thing. Maybe. Probably not. But whatever makes us feel good.” She laughed.

She wrote down the tracking number and searched for it on her iPad, “And I was so looking forward to spending your money.” She smiled. “Alright. You had a good idea.” She told him and sighed. “It was long. I couldn’t sleep. A mix of nerves and excitement and being on Vegas time. I have to get my body adjusted.” She told him.
 
"I understand. You know me, I won't eat too heavy either. Protein mostly." He chuckled. "Well I just was wondering if I'd get a little time with my girl in London. If not, we will just have to go back right?" He smiled at the thought of them going and just spending time together and not rush anywhere.

Jake laughed, "Yeah why have we not gotten treats before now?! We've been doing it wrong." He smiled and rubbed Owen's back. "I should wake him up soon, I don't want him sleeping too much."

"Damn right I had a good idea." He laughed. "I should get something for being right and having a good idea. Like kisses or something." He smiled. "Yeah I'm worried about Owen being on Vegas time. He won't be there long enough to get him on a new routine. Another reason I'm hoping if he sleeps on the plane he will be ready to go when he wakes up."

"Have I told you I'm proud of you Adge? Cause I am. I'm very proud and even prouder to be able to call you mine. I'm one lucky man. You go do your thing. Your boys will see you tomorrow. I love you babe." He smiled.
 
“I am sure we will find a good place to eat while we are out here.” She told him. “Even if it means staying at the hotel and eating downstairs. I will be happy to be with you.” She smiled.

“Mean Daddy. That’s going to make him grumpy too but it’s probbaly best to make him grumpy at home and keep him awake until the plane ride. If you can get him to crash before you board your plane you will be golden.”

She rolled her eyes, “Yeah, Yeah. I’ll kiss you if I remember.” She teased. “We are just going to have to fight him and his sleep schedule. He will hate us but he will get over it. And then we will be in New York and we will have to fight him again.” She sighed. “It will be a lot for our little guy but he will handle it.”

She smiled at his pep talk, “Thank you Boo. I love you too. I’ll talk to you later.” She hung up and wine through her luggage to find something to wear tonight. The dress code for the night was all black. So she picked up a low cut blazer and a pair of black skinny pants. She wouldn’t wear a shirt even though it was cold outside. Fashion didn’t care about the weather.

Brian set up her nad hair and make up so she could sleep and get ready while they worked.
 
"I'm sure we will. I can always ask the hotel if they know of good places too." He smiled.

He laughed, "Yeah I know he's going to hate both of us for awhile. And that's okay. I get grumpy too when I don't get to sleep. It's my fault." He chuckled. "We will be okay baby. I'll keep that idea in mind though."

"I'll remind you. I'm not missing out on extra kisses from my love. You're crazy." He smiled. She seemed calm for now which was good.

After they hung up, Jake let Owen sleep another half hour before gently waking him up. He was a bit fussy but cuddly and soon got over it when they found Paw Patrol on tv. It was a task to keep him awake as much as possible. Owen was fussy and Jake almost swore he was getting a tooth which made it worse. Worse case he could give him some medicine and maybe it would help him sleep on the plane. It may be a task to have cold teethers and stuff on hand for him on the plane.

He kept in contact with the rest of the family as they were getting ready to get on their flight. Jake spent the night with Owen and Emma so they could get up early and head out for their flight. A few times Owen cried for Adri and then Jake just showed her pictures of her and some of her instagram videos. It helped he could see and hear her.

Jake texted Adri, "He's getting a tooth or two...he's fussy. Prepare for a fussy baby. If he's bad we can keep him at the hotel with Emma." That's what they had Emma for. If they needed to keep her back with Owen then that was what was going to have to happen. He couldn't be there and be fussy watching Adri walk, it would stress Adri and Jake both out.

That night was a bit rough, Owen was up and down all night crying. Jake just hoped that meant he would sleep on the plane. They got up and Jake got him some breakfast, he would just get a breakfast sandwich at the airport.
 
The scene hour time difference between her and her family was a little difficult. She was up way before them and she was at work busy by the time they got up. She would have called but it was never a good time.

Texting was much easier because they could carry on the conversation and go back to read pasts texts to keep up with the conversation.

“Poor baby.” She replied to Jake’s text about Owen teething. “Drew bought a ticket for his girlfriend so she is coming with him *eyeroll emoji* shoot me.” She wouldn’t be able to get into the show though. Tickets were sold out.

She made time to call him before the flight heard Owen in the background. She made it a FaceTime call so he could see and hear her and she tried soothe him. He stopped. Tying a little bit but he was still upset. His tears would be back soon.

“You can always rub some rum on his gums. Be careful he doesn’t bite you with those demon teeth.” She told him. She did it once when it was really bad and it worked but she did get bit which was a painful experience.

“I should get some more sleep. Have a nice flight. He’s tired. He’s in pin. I’m sure he will sleep and calm down.” She told him. “I love you.” She blew Jake a kiss and waved.
 
"I'm glad his girlfriend is on the flight before ours." Jake sent back.

When they got to the airport, Jake tried to keep Owen happy but didn't have much luck. He answered the call. "Hey babe." Jake let Owen see Adri. He kept calling for 'Mum mum.'

"I'll try the rum if I have to. I don't want dirty looks on the plane cause I give him alcohol." He chuckled. "I'll make sure I won't get bit. I'm fast like lightning. You're just too slow..." He teased.

"Get sleep babe. We will see you before you know it. Love you." He hung up and got some food with Owen and Emma. Then right before boarding he got Owen asleep. He took a photo and sent it to Adri for her to get it when she woke up.

The first couple hours was perfect, he got some sleep himself while Owen slept. When he woke up he cried and Jake gave him some Motrin and a cold teether and he was happy for a bit while he watched Paw Patrol. He was extra cuddly like Jake was when he didn't feel well.

When they landed, Jake grabbed Owen and carried him and their carry ons off the plane, Emma wasn't too far behind. "You ready to see mommy big guy?"
 
Nick was one of the last to board the flight. He was a row in front of Jake and Owen, "hey. Make sure your kid doesn't kick my seat okay?" He joked knowing Owens legs wouldn't reach the seat and they were in the seat that changed into beds so it didn't matter. "And for the record I'm not following you. I just happen to be going to London and New York and to your fight." He shrugged his shoulder. "If you need me to take over let me know." He said pointing to the sleeping baby.

Adri was asleep for a good portion of their flight to London. And then she was working for the rest. It was looking like she wouldn't make it to pick them but she was released from B-roll shooting just in time to make it to the airport to pick them up.

She was actually getting out of the car by the time they had their luggage. She moved past paparazzi into the airport but they were allowed to follow in here so there wasn't a lot of privacy. She kept her sunglasses on and smiled when she saw Jake and Owen.

She kissed them in greeting and took Owen who was happy to see Adri and wouldn't let her put him down if she tried. She said hello to Emma and lead them to the car. She saw Nick coming out of the airport and said hello really quick. They would see him back at the hotel later. While they got the bags in she buckled Owen into his car seat. "I have something for you." She told him and gave him a teddy bear in the palace guard gear. She made the bear dance which made Owen laugh.

"How did he do?" She asked Jake and Emma. "I have some apple that I cored and skinned and cut to make teething rings that he can eat." She told Jake. And I have bananas on Popsicle sticks in the freezer to help him out too."
 
"Oh my son will kick the back of your seat. And for being a jerk, I may have to kick the back of your seat too." He teased back but said it in a straight face. "Thanks man. I'll keep that in mind. He may want to hang out later when he sees you. And I know you're following me. It's okay. I know the truth...I'm pretty awesome. I'd follow me too. I'm glad you could come support Adri and then come to the fight. Means a lot man." He gave him a nod.

Jake put Owen down when he saw Adri. They weren't too far away so Jake let him run to Adri. He gave Adri a hug and gave her a kiss. "Hi baby." They went to the car and Jake watched Ari give him his bear. "Someone missed his mommy."

"It was't too bad. He woke up fussy but after Motrin, his favorite show and cuddles he was okay. He's just like me when he doesn't feel well so expect a clingy baby...That's good ideas babe. I have some teethers too we can toss in the freezer. Maybe we can get some plain fruit for him to eat." It was nice that her mom and Amy were there too so they could help keep him happy.
 
“Yes. I have regular fruit too but the firmness of the apples and bananas will soothe those aching gums. And if all else fails we give him a ninny and hope he doesn’t get attached to it.” She rubbed Owen’s cheek and kissed his forehead.

“You’re in a London buddy. Are you excited?” She asked. “This is where daddy proposed.” She smiled at Jake and squeezed his hand. “I missed you guys.” She kissed Jake and put her head on his shoulder.

When they got to the hotel Adri tried to put Owen down but he would unravel his legs from her waist. “Can you believe Drew though?” She asked Jake. “How are they still together? She released pictures of me after an attack and I’m the bad person. She’s despicable. I got Nick a ticket to the show. I’m not getting her one. Don’t let nick give Her his if you ever go out together.” She told him.

“I don’t want her there and I don’t want her at Christmas.” That was a fight she lost to her mother who forced her to invite Stacy when she invited Drew. Christmas was about family coming together, her mother said. It was annoying.

“And I’m getting a pimple on my chin.” She pouted and poked it. “It’s goig to be huge I can feel it.”
 
"I thought about that too. We have a couple in his bag." He told her about his bink. He did good a out not having to have one. "He isn't the only one who wants fruit." He smiled. "I missed you too." He smiled and kissed her softly. "Daddy did propose here. That's why daddy wants go take mommy out..."

Jake warned Nick through text to not like Stacy if he wanted to stay on Adri's good side. "You're not a bad person. You don't have to like her babe but you do have to het along and you're doing a good job. I'm proud of you."

Jake shook his head. "I can't see it but they have make up for that." He kissed her cheek.

"O you should show mommy your pull up. Maybe take her in and go potty. You gotta go potty? You can show mommy your Paw Patrol potty." Owen climbed down and ran to the bathroom. "Go babe!"
 
“I don’t like her and I don’t want to play nice with her. I want her to go away.” She told Jake. She sat on the couch and bounced Owen on her lap. She grabbed the remote and turned Paw Patrol so he wasn’t listening to her complain about Stacey and his uncle.

“For the record Owen doesn’t like her either. He wouldn’t go near her during thanksgiving.” She smiled triumphantly. Adri also called him to her anytime he ventured near the stripping beast. And if Owen wanted anything near Stacey she had Jake or one of her brodhers get it for him while she “checked his diaper”.

She watched Owen run to why he thought was the bathroom and got up to follow him. She called him over to follow her and pointed to the bathroom. And the noises he was making were not English but she could tell he was excited.

“Do you have to go potty?” She asked and helped him pull his diaper down and sat him down. It was a little too late but he could try to go again while she got a new pull up.

“Mom said we should let him run naked and follow him with a potty. Have him sit every so often and make him go. That will motivate us to make him go and he will catch on quicker. It might also mean having pee all over the house which I’m not excited about.” She shrugged her shoulder. It’s was an option.
