Office Romances don't work...do they? (Nightstalker x Candi)

"Hmmm, well, we'll have to start looking for houses soon. The company has already spoken to a real estate agent we can talk to later on. But...." she paused and took a deep breath, stretching herself out on the chair. "For now, I think it's best if we just let it be. Don't you?" she asked, letting the sun wash over her beautiful ivory skin.

Chris heard her words and grinned slyly as he watched her stretch out more, catching the look of some others near by as he spoke softly. "Yes lets just relax and enjoy our time together."

People continued to stare for awhile longer, but once they grew accustomed to the beautiful people, they put their attention back onto normal things, only glancing now and then. With a yawn, Claire closed her eyes and began to doze off. "Mmm, I love you Chris."

About half an hour later, Claire got a call about Rex. The lovable fur ball was ready to be picked up. "Alright, we'll be there shortly," she said, hanging up her phone. She got up and wrapped the towel around her waist, disappointing a few of the onlookers by covering herself up. Picking up her bag and putting her sandals back on she held her hand out to Chris. "Time to get your best friend."

Chris had fully relaxed by the pool when he heard her phone ring, glancing across at her then towards some of the onlookers he chuckled softly and stood up slowly. One strong muscular slipped around her waist as he spoke barely above a whisper. "So later my soon to be wife shall we take a walk along the coast like last time."

"Anything you want," she said with a smile. "It sounds like a great idea to me." She put her arm around his waist as well. Together, they made their way to the rental car service to take care of Rex and his every little need. "Ready to see your boy again?" she asked, grinning.

Chris chuckled softly as they made their way from the rental place towards the airport. "Yes I am but need you more. Just not sure the hotel will accept him there."

Claire shook her head. "They don't. But there's a Kennel a few blocks away that I arranged for him to stay at while we're still here. We can visit him every day for as long as we want," she said with a smile. "The owners were really understanding of our situation. They've advised all their employees."

Chris smiled and listened intently to her words, he was keen to see Rex again and knew it would feel more like a family then. His eyes took in the scenery as he spoke softly. "Is that not the turn off to the airport my love. Have I got you slightly distracted."

"Oh? Hmm, well we'll have to take the next turn then," she said, having missed the first one. They arrived after a quick turn around. They were ushered down to the area where they kept the pets after flights. Once they were there, Rex came bounding toward them, clearly happy to see them again.

Chris stepped back slightly as Rex came bounding up towards them, almost trying to play a small game with him before placing one of his strong arms around Claire's waist kissing her cheek softly. "Love you so much and so does he I am sure."

She laughed and reached down to pet Max before kissing Chris's cheek back. "Aww, my boys. I love you both."

Chris grinned at the combination of her reaching down to rub Rex's back and her words, smiling her took the small biscuit from his pocket giving it to Rex. "Oh I know now he will enjoy the Island."

She grinned, "I hope so." Rex looked pretty happy after having probably been disoriented for awhile. "Well, shall we take Mr. Rex for a walk? No need for him to go to the kennel just yet."

Chris grinned at her words and slid his long thick hand down over her buttocks giving it a gentle squeeze as he spoke softly. "Indeed we shall. The coast line will be good for us all."

She blushed again as he squeezed her bottom and then smiled down at Rex. "Come on, boy. Let's get you to the beach." She thanked the person in charge of the animals and put a leash on his collar, leading him to the car again with Chris. "Hmm, What else should we do?

Chris smiled as they walked back towards the car, his mind recalling some of the small shops before speaking. "We could visit those shops or the ones on the other side up there. Possibly make it a picnic up there."

"Sure. If I can find them again," she said with a little chuckle. It would take some getting used to to be able to drive around with confidence here. "Let's go then, fellas."

Chris smiled at her words and put Rex in the back of the car, taking the passenger side again and reading the small map that was on the dashboard. "Oh I am sure we will find them."

And after a few wrong turns here and there, they did, in fact, find the shops from before. This time, however, she didn't think they'd be quite so...frisky at the historical sites. "Mmm, okay. Let's get out and look around."

Chris had recalled many things from their last visit and as he stepped out of the car his eyes took in the small house towards the far edge of the town. "Oh Claire my love, since you like the coast how about that house up there."

She blinked, not really seeing the house right away. "Ah...well...I wonder if it's even on the market. Why don't we take a look?" she asked, putting her beach bag over her shoulder.

She smiled, liking the idea of a small home on the coast. If this house was on the market, she would have to consider it. "Let's go ask," she said with a smile. "If nothing else we can see who sold them the house...if it was sold," she said with a chuckle. She slipped her arm around his shoulder and then the three of them were off toward the house in the distance.
