I think you didn't read down far enough.

She's a voice actor (a lot of Pixar movies), she's been the star of a sitcom and a supporting player in at least 3 others, and she's been in a dozen different movies. She's written for TV and movies, and she's been a director. She's been a steadily-working actress since 1986.

Therefore, she's not just some local talk show lady, she's a respected B-list actor and Hollywood professional.

And that's why she's got a show.
