He laughed as he looked at her, "But that's probably because you guided me against them. What if I had started smoking like I wanted to? But I didn't because I felt something pushing me away from it. What if I had slept with that girl in high school who had AIDS but didn't tell anyone? But I felt that same feeling telling me not to do it. You've pushed me away from things that would have been bad for me." He said smiling as he looked at her, "Well that's great. I can't wait to meet you."
 
"You already have," she reminded him with a chuckle. "I suppose you're right. I could have done much worse," she said watching him. "I'll come and see you in my human form tomorrow. For now, you just get some rest. I'll stay with you in case you have nightmares," she said, laying down beside him, closing her eyes.
 
He laughed, "Yeah, but now I'll actually be able to hug you and all that." He said smiling as he nodded, "See, I am right." He said as she mentioned coming in her human form tomorrow, "I can't wait for that." He said as closed his eyes slowly, "Okay I'll sleep." He whispered as he went back to sleep.
 
Helena stayed close to him all night, her wings around both of them, protecting him from bad dreams, from reliving all the pain he'd felt again. She could at least do that for him. When she saw what time it was, she let him go and stood up. Her body slowly began to become solid, a beautiful, blonde, naked woman appearing before him. She didn't have wings now. With a small wave of her finger, she became dressed in blue jeans that fit her nicely and a white and blue shirt. Not caring much about her person beyond that, she sat on the edge of Devlin's bed and took his hand, hoping he'd wake up soon.
 
He slowly woke up after a dreamless sleep and he looked around before seeing her and feeling his hand in her's. "Oh wow, you're real now." He said with a smile, "Wow you really are pretty, even prettier than before." He said as he slowly sat up in his bed, "How long can you stay for?" He asked as he sat there and looked her over, he couldn't help it but he was attracted to her a great deal. She was sexy and beautiful, and he couldn't help himself, he started to get an erection which showed right through the gown. He figured she'd seen him naked though anyway.
 
She blushed a little at his compliment and smiled softly. She helped him as he sat up and did her best to not injure his arm. "Well thank you," she said softly. "I can stay for a few hours at a time. It's my job to take care of you as best I can." She gently touched an area next to his burn and increased the healing speed there. In her state, she'd missed the erection that he had, but if she moved away, she would most definitely see it.
 
He smiled as he felt her using her power to speed up the healing process of his burn and his broken arm. "Of course. And I hope you'll stay with me those few hours. It's a shame you can't stay for longer." He said as he looked up at her before realizing that he had a massive erection, and he blushed softly, "I'm sorry about that, but you've probably seen me naked plenty of times."
 
She blinked and then looked down. "Ah....well, this is...awkward." Helena looked back up at him with a chuckle and a little shrug. "I have, and it's gotten to be less awkward for me as time goes by. This is a little different though," she said, looking away from him. "Do you want me to leave the room for a little while?" she asked. "I know you wanted me to stay, but I'll just be outside," she said with a little frown.
 
He shook his head, "No it's okay. I mean if it bothers you a lot I can just get rid of it, or put it down." He said as he tried to think of things that would make it go away, but nothing was really working while she was standing there. "Um...are you really bothered by it?" He asked as he looked at her and tried pushing it down.
 
Helena chuckled and shook her golden head. "No, it's okay. You don't need to worry about it. It's just...I honestly can't remember that ever being a reaction to my presence. For anyone." She blushed and looked away before returning her attention to him. "But we're not here to discuss that. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" she asked.
 
He laughed, "Help me with this thing." He said smirking as he joked around, "Well it's surprising as you're very gorgeous and you look like...well like you'd be fun to...you know." He said trying not to be too crass about wanting her. He looked at her, "You know what I mean?" He asked as he looked up into her eyes.
 
Helena blushed and chuckled. "I see. Well, I suppose I might be," she said, looking up at him. "I can't help you in that way, Devlin. It's not meant to be. It can't be." She smiled and kissed his forehead. "But I can stay with you for as long as you want."
 
He laughed, "I figured you couldn't, but I mean I'm stuck up here all by myself and no one to...well fuck me or let me fuck them. You would only be doing me a favor..." He said as he didn't want to impose, but he was also really hard and he couldn't get it to go down.
 
"Unfortunately, I really can't do anything about it. I'm not really supposed to...well...you know. Besides, you're still healing. I can use my magic, though if you really need me to."
 
He sighed softly as he shook his head, "No worries, I'll just ignore it or something." he said as he looked up at her, "So what is it that is so fun about being a guardian angel?"
 
She chuckled. "Well, it's not really supposed to be 'fun,' per se. But part of the perks of the job is helping you become who you are and protecting that." Her smile brightened a little and she let some of her golden hair fall into her face.
 
"So you could say that I wouldn't be the same man I am today without you?" He asked with a small smirk before he brought her down to the bed. "Give me a hug silly billy." He said laughing as he hugged her tightly and looked at her, "Thank you for everything."
 
She smiled and hugged him back hoping she wasn't hurting her as he held her. She hadn't thought of it that way before. He probably wouldn't be the same. "Well, it does take two," she said with a little smile. "If you hadn't listened to me, you wouldn't be where you are. But you didn't have to," she said, kissing his cheek as she hugged him. How strange to finally let him hold her. Never had she imagined that it would feel this good.
 
He shook his head, "I had to listen to you. If I didn't I would have never felt you around me, and I don't think I could live without it." He said as he looked at her, "You make me feel like I'm not alone anymore." He said as he smiled softly and hugged her to him, "Thank you so much." He said as he just relaxed in the hug that they had created. It felt so nice, and for some reason she was a perfect fit to his body.
 
"Thank you for telling me," she said softly. "I've never really been thanked for much," Helena said with a smile. She let him hug her, soaking up the warmth. It just felt so good to be with him. "Is there anything I can get for you to make you feel better?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.
 
He shook his head, "Just...lay with me. In my bed. One of the things I miss the most about having a girlfriend is the closeness, and so if you would lay with me while I slept I'd really appreciate it. I know it's probably really boring for you. If anyone asks you're my girlfriend, that way it looks normal."
 
"Until they realize that visiting hours haven't started yet," she chuckled. "But if you want me to stay with you like this, then I'll stay with you," she said, kissing his cheek. She put an arm around him and cuddled into his good arm before she lay with him, fully. "Sleep well, Devlin. You deserve some rest."
 
He put his arm around her as if she was his girlfriend, and yet again she fit perfectly into him and he liked it. He had always loved being so close with a girl, and holding them while they slept made him very comfortable and happy. "Again, thank you for everything." He said as he looked at her, "Goodnight."
 
Her blue eyes looked up into his and she nodded. "Anything for you," she said softly, smiling as he drifted off. "Good night, Devlin," she said, kissing his cheek softly. She was tempted to kiss his lips but resisted that particular temptation. There was really no need for that kind of thing, and she was sure that she'd fall because of such a thing.
 
He wasn't sure what it was about her, but he liked having her around, even when he could only see her and not feel her physically. He slept better with her in his arms than he had in years, and he realized that it was probably because of how safe he felt around her. It was strange to feel so safe around her, but he was also kind of happy about it.
