It's Just Human Nature (MysteriousD/DaddysLittleSkank)

"Thanks." Morgan said as she hugged him back. "It's been a long day and I am ready to go to sleep."

Marceline looked at Diego like he was crazy, "I do not trust myself enough not to roll over on him." She scooted down in the bed and laid down. "That is honestly my biggest fear."

Finn picked up Morgan bridal style and began walking back to their place in the treehouse. "I know you have some stuff to deal with yout mom and such. I know how it is, but we're all here for you," Finn told Morgan before he kissed her while he kept going to the treehouse.

"Don't worry, I'll watch over him. I don't need sleep as much so i can watch over Aurelio," Dieog told her with a smile as he looked at her before kissing her forehead as she laid down.

"I love you." Morgan said looking up at Finn as he carried her. It was the first time she had said it without him having said it first.

Marceline kissed Diego before settling down. "How does it feel to be a dad?" She asked.

Finn smiled. He was always happy to hear when Morgan would say 'I love you' to him. He leaned in over to kiss Morgan on the lips while he was taking her back to their treehouse. "I love you too. And I want you to be happy," he told her with a smile.

"It's surprising... frightening yet wonderful... It's like some sort of new feeling," Diego said as he tried to process everything that happened yet he was happy because of it all. "How do you feel being a mom?" he asked back at her,

Morgan smiled back and rested her head on Finn's shoulder as she relaxed in his arms.

Marceline was lying on her side, facing Aurelio. "Unreal. While I was having him I was just thinking to myself 'this kid better be worth it' and the moment I saw him I knew he was. It's weird coz all the negative feelings I had about my pregnancy and the delivery just melted away. I really never thouht I'd care about someone this much." She sat up and kissed her son telling him, "Good night, my prince, and sweet dreams."

"How do you feel?" Finn asked Morgan with a smile as he saw her smile and relax. He was always happy when he was around her and he felt it was mutual. "You want something to eat when we get home?" he asked her.

Diego just saw Marceline observe Aurelio with a loving look. "I guess that's what it means to be a good parent," Diego said before he went to kiss Marceline on the cheek. "How do you feel, sweetie?" he asked her.

"Tired." Morgan said. While everything seemed to go by quickly, the entire day had gone by.

"I'm in a lot of pain still." Marceline sighed. "It's mostly just soreness but it still hurts." She put an arm under the pillow yawned and closed her eyes.

"Well, when we're back home we can relax and have some dinner," Finn told her with a smile before he softly kissed her. He wanted to let her know that he was there with her, always.

"I'll watch over Aurelio. You just get your rest, sweetie," Diego told Marceline while giving her another kiss and embracing her. "I love you so much," he added.

"Sounds good." Morgan said as she smiled back at Finn.

Marceline kissed him back before going to sleep

Fast forward nine months and Aurelio is crawling and even standing, causing his parents to have watch him closely as make sure he doesn't injure himself. Marceline on the couch watching Aurelio as he watched the tv using the coffee table as support to help him stand.

Morgan had just gotten off of work and was walking back to the treehouse.

"How's he doing when it comes to walking?" Diego said as he walked in with some red food for Marceline and some fruity baby mush for Aurelio before he sat on the couch alongside Marceline. He then kissed Marcy with an excited look. "I got a surprise for you," he told her with a smile.

Finn had grow even taller and almost finished growing into the confident man everyone knew he could be. He even chuckled at the couple of times he saw Princess Bubblegum staring at him. However, he cared about her as an elder sister. There was one woman who he loved and it was Morgan. She was currently on ehr back from work while he was cutting down a tree for some lumber since PB said she was gonna use them for something.

"He hasn't really stood for more than a couple of seconds on his own so he's got a bit before walking." Marceline said taking the food. "Most babies don't walk until they're a year old." She looked at him "Should I be worried?"

Morgan saw Finn working in the yard and walked over to him instead of going into the house. She kissed him and asked, "what's up?"

"No, it's a pleasant surprise," Diego told her with a smile. "I'll show you later when we put Aurelio down for his nap," he added as he saw Aurelio keep supporting himself. "Maybe we can try and help him to walk," Diego suggested to her.

"Just getting lumber for PB and her projects," Finn told Morgan before he hugged and kissed her. "How is it going?" he asked her with a smile. "How was work?" Finn added.

"Or we could let him walk when he's ready." Marceline said as she moved over on the couch to let Diego sit down. "He's ahead of schedule since he can stand on his own."

"It was good, I had a bunch of orders that I needed to deliver. I'm thinking of hiring a delivery person to make my life easier." Morgan said

"Yeah that's true," Diego said as he snuggled up to Marceline. "Watchin more old TVshows from that video store?" Diego couldn't help but ask. He was aazed at just how much time flew by with everything that had happened. It was utterly incredible to say the least.

"Well, maybe you can hire Jake's granddaughter. She's been looking for work," Finn suggested as he kept hugging his girlfriend. "Jake's been spending mroe time with his kids and I think it's been good for all of them," he added.

"Yeah, it's a kid's show that I can actually stand watching." Marceline smiled. "There were some real crap shows."

"I'll definitely consider her." Morgan said as she kissed him again. "What were thinking for dinner?"

"Yeah, but there were also some good shows back in the day too. Back when I was in college, I wanted to write and create my own animated shows," Diego told Marceline with a smile as he put an arm around her. "What did you wanna do when you grew up?" he added.

"Well, I'm thinking we can have a barbeque and have some burgers," Finn told her with a smile. "What were you thinking? The same or something else?" he asked her.

"I meant shitty kids' shows like Caillou or Peppa Pig." Marceline clarified. "Aurelio really seems to like Sesame Street which is good, because I don't completely hate it and there's like forty plus years of it."

"I could make some burgers." Morgan said kissing Finn before going to make their dinner. She cooked the meat and got the condiments ready.

"Did you ever watch Mr. Rogers?" Diego asked Marceline. "He was... well, he still is the most amazing human being who ever lived. Yes, I think he was more of a goody-two-shoes than even Finn is," Diego told Marceline with a smile before he kissed her cheek. He then saw Aurelio looking around. "I wonder if he's looking for his stuffed animal," he wondered.

"Sure, anything special?" Finn asked her as he began putting the wood chips in for their barbeque to help them out. "Anything else going on?" he asked her with a smile.

"If I did I would've been really young like too young to remember. I do know some stuff about him though, and a few rumors like him being Vietnam vet who were the sweaters to cover up war tattoos which wasn't true. I remember watching Blue's Clues when Steve was still on it, Jack Hannah, Muppets, a show called Out of the Box I think it's was on Disney, Bear in the Big Blue House although those memories are less vivid, Rugrats, and a bunch of others." Marceline picked up the Hambo Morgan gave them and handed it to Aurelio. "Remember Face on Nick Jr.?"

"Not really." Morgan replied setting a plate of burger patties on the table attached to the grill.

"Oh man, I remember so many of those. I mainly watched cartoons alot back when I was younger," Diego said as he was chuckling at all the memories. He was looking back at everything that had happen. His younger self would probably not believe on how everything that happened that led him to the here and now. He smiled when he saw Aurelio sit down to snuggle his Hambo. "Wanna try and guess your surprise?" he teased her.

Finn got out the buns and the cheese along with the other things for their burgers. "I heard from Ice King that you're getting better with your ice nija powers," Finn said while he was setting the table for the two of them.

"Or you could just tell me." Marceline said as she reached forward and picked her son up, placing him in between her and Diego.

"Yup." Morgan said with a smile. "Although it sucks that he doesn't get most of my jokes. Like I made a joke about being like Elsa and flew right over his head," she saw his confusion, and added "and apparently your's too."

"I have to show you then. I'll be right back," Diego said as he went upstairs to get the surprise that he spent the last couple of weeks trying to find and fix up for Marceline.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. At least Diego and Marceline get your jokes," Finn responded with a smile as he kissed her forehead with a smile of his own. "How is it like, since it's been over two years since you now live in Ooo?" Finn asked her with a smile.

Marceline continued to sit on the couch but picked Aurelio so he was standing on her lap facing her. "Your Daddy is being weird, isn't he?" She asked him in an upbeat tone.

"Dada." Aurelio said.

"Diego, get in here! Your son just said his first word!" Marceline half yelled, trying not to scare Aurelio.

"We'll have to watch that movie it's pretty good." Morgan stated. "Ooo still surprises me sometimes but I've mostly gotten used to it by now."

Diego went up to the second floor and got the box that he had in the closet behind some clothes. However, he was startled by what Marceline said. He sprinted down while holding the box. He put the box on the sofa while having a shocked look.

"What, what did he say?!" Diego said in surprise and excitement.

"How have things been with Ice King though? He has told me that he kinda feels like he's not being the best dad for you," Finn told her when he finished setting up the table for the two of them.

Marceline turned Aurelio so he was facing Diego. "Tell Daddy what you just said." She coaxed.

Aurelio didn't say anything for a few moment instead just looked at Diego before finally holding out his arms to Diego and saying, "Dada."

Morgan chuckled before saying, "You can tell him he's being an awesome dad." Morgan flipped the burgers.
