It's Just Human Nature (MysteriousD/DaddysLittleSkank)

"See ya." Jake said before leaving.

"I spend all day with him practically everyday." Marceline said as she came back into the living room. "I can spend some time with my friends."

"It's been weird going from living with you to barely seeing you." Morgan commented.

"Later Jake," Diego tolds them with a smile before facing Finn. "It looks like Morgan or Marceline, aren't going to come back for a while. What do you wanna do?" Diego asked Finn with a smile while Finn was thinking of what to do.

"I hope the guys aren't lonely," Princess Bubblegum said as she looked at the two. even while she did get closer to her friends, she remained slightly aloof to all of them.

"They have each other, I don't think they'll get bored." Marceline said. "I ordered double cheese with anchovies and pineapple."

"The hell?" Morgan asked disgusted.

"Kidding, I ordered double cheese with bacon." Marceline laughed

"Regular or Canadian?" Morgan asked.

"Regular." Marceline answered. "Canadian bacon is just ham."

"Hey Finn, can I borrow the Enchiridion for a moment?" Diego asked Finn. "Sure, what are you looking for?" Finn asked as he gently gave the tme to Diego to look through. With his advanced augmented mind, Diego scanned through the book before finding what he was looking for.

"Hmm... yes. Yes. And it does look like... all right... Yes, it'll work," Diego said before he closed the tome with a smile. "Finn, prepare. We're going on an adventure and if Jake wants to, he's coming with us. I'm gonna get something important," he said with a smile.

"Wait, what is a Canadian? I assume it relates to Canada, but I never heard of such a land before," Princess Bubblegum told the two girls of the past.

"If Jake wants to what?" Jake asked reentering the treehouse.

"Canada was known for four things; snow, maple syrup, apologizing for everything, and having terrible bacon." Morgan explained. "And that's about it."

"Don't forget the weird way they said about." Marceline added.

"I didn't forget a-boot that." Morgan said with a giggle.

"Finn is going to help me find something important and I'm wondering if you wanna come. This is big serious, guys, at least personally," Diego told them both with a smile. Finn wondered what was it that lit a fire in his eyes.

"Ummm... I don't get it," Princess Bubblegum said as she turned her head looking rather confused though based on how Morgan and Marceline said, they were not being fully serious about it. "What shall we do while waiting for the pizza?" she asked.

"Sounds cool." Jake said giving a thumbs up. "So what's it for?"

"Canada was a country and it exported a lot of maple syrup, there was a lot of snow, they called ham Canadian bacon for some reason, the people were way too nice and some of them pronounce about as a-boot." Morgan clarified.

Diego just smiled mysteriously. "It's a surprise, guys, but it is for something important. And the good news is that it's surprisingly nearby as well," Diego said before facing Finn. "Finn, do you know of a dungeon with this symbol is?" he said before showing him the symbol on the book.

Princess Bubblegum remained quiet as she felt a bit of an outsider regarding these references that Marceline and Morgan did. "Are those very well-known facts... or are those stereotypes?" she mentioned, wondering if they were just messing with her.

"Is it for Marceline?" Jake asked teasingly with a suspicious look.

"The snow, maple syrup, ham and some people saying a-boot are facts." Morgan stated. "However people being to nice are stereotypes but I never met a Canadian that wasn't super nice."

"I never met a Canadian, so I wouldn't know." Marceline said.

"Well yeah, obviously, but this is a very important thing I need to get," Diego told them both with a smile. Finn took a closer look at the symbol. "Hey Jake, isn't that over the borders of those weird mountains," Finn noted as he saw the symbol before he brought his brother to look.

Princess Bubblegum couldn't help but laugh at the whole silliness of it all. "Well ladies, what do we do now while we wait for the pizza?" she asked her two friends there.

"Yeah." Jake said rubbing his chin. "It's kinda late, it'd probably be better to leave tomorrow."

"Talk I guess." Morgan said. "Marceline, are what are you naming your son?"

"Diego picked out a name and I don't remember it. It starts with an a." Marceline said.

"Guys, it's only mid afternoon though. Besides, it would be a good opportunity while the ladies are away," Diego said as he opened the window to reveal it was indeed not that late. "If you don't wanna come, then I'll just go myself, no big deal," he said with a smile. He was filled with inspiration and it just made him more energized. It was a brand new hope and day.

"I believe it was Aurelio, was it not?" PRincess Bubblegum said, recalling some of the talks she had with them. "What did you plan on naming the child if the reveal was a daughter?" she asked Marceline.

"Yeah but what if Marceline comes back and freaks coz we're gone?" Jake explained. "If we go tomorrow, we can tell them I'm bringing you on soul searching trip to teach you how to be a good dad and that Finn's just coming coz he had nothing else to do."

Marceline shrugged. "I really don't remember. I could have sworn it had a t in it."

"Nice." Morgan chuckled.

"Hey I got twenty more weeks until he comes out to learn his name." Marceline said pointing to her belly. "And we talked about naming the baby after my mom if it was a girl."

"Hmm... I don't think she buy that. Marceline knows you guys well enough when you're trying to lie," Diego mentioned thhough he was also in thinking. "Though if you don't wanna look now, then what do you wana do?" Diego asked the two. "Well, what are you looking for?" Finn asked for, curious about Diego's sudden excitement.

"Can you keep it a secret?" Diego asked the two.

Princess Bubblegum just facepalmed a bit at Marceline not remembering the name, but she was in thought. "Marceline, when the child is born, I do need to run tests and oberve to ensure they're in the bet of health, especially with the various possibiltiies, such as if they are or are not vulnerable to sunlight," she explained over to Marceline.

Jake started thinking, before speaking, "Just tell her your coming over her and we'll lie to Morgan, she's a lot easier to trick." He listened to Diego's question, "of coarse!"

"As long as you don't hurt him, I don't mind." Marceline said as she rubbed her belly. "Its hard to believe I'm already half way through my pregnancy already."

"No she's not, bro," Finn chuckled at how Jake was underestimating Morgan and her mental capabilities. Diego sighed as he leaned in closer and joined them what he was looking for. "It's a Ring of Grand Protection; a special ring that can protect the user from anything when worn, but requires the right enchantments... including protecting vampires from sunlight or anything else," he added with a smile.

"What are you going to do with the ring? I don't think it's Marceline's birthday soon... is it?" Finn said a she turned to Jake, subtly confessing the difficulty in keeping track of these sort of things because of how Ooo was formed.

"You know I will do my absolute best not to hurt your son," Princess Bubblegum said as he saw Marceline rub her tummy. "Morgan, didn't you say that pregnant human women glow when they're happy or something?" she asked Morgan.

Jake stretched to fist bump Diego. "You go, man!" He nudged Finn. "He's gonna ask Marceline to marry him."

"Sometimes, I mean it's not something that every woman experiences." Morgan stated.

"I'm not getting much sleep," Marceline said, "between him moving and me having to pee all the time."

"WHAAAT?! No way, man! That's awesome!" Finn told Diego with a smile before he gave a fist bump and a hug to his bro. Diego just smield embarassingly before he nodded. "Yeah... and the ring will let Marceline live in the sun and not be hurt by it or so on," he added with a smile on his face.

"I suppose so, but when I see you with Diego... it's wonderful," Princess Bubblegum said with a smile. "I've never seen you look so happy or at ease," PRincess Bubblegum added as she would recall all the times Marceline was happy with Diego.

"We'll help you, no probs." Jake said. "And I'll even help you plan you actually proposing."

"Yeah, he's pretty great." Marceline said looking down at her belly and rubbing it again with a small smile on her face. "I honestly can barely wait till this little guy comes out and I get to see Diego being a dad."

"That is so adorable." Morgan said chuckling.

"When are you and Finn gonna pop one out?" Marceline asked as she nudged Morgan teasingly.

"Never." Morgan replied straight faced.

"It's just gonna be pretty simple," Diego confessed to the two with a smile as he rubbed the back of his head embarassingly, but with a shy smile. "Though once I get the ring, I will be planning it," he added wth a smile.

"And you're going to be an excellent mother, Marceline," Princess Bubblegum told her with a smile as he went over to give a small hug over to her friend, the vampire queen. Princess Bubblegum was a bit quiet on Morgan's thoughts on not giving birth, though she did have a thinking expression.

"Nah, dude, you gotta do something big." Jake said stretching his arms wide. "Like get her a new guitar or something and put the rig in the case, you gotta be creative."

"For this kid's sake I hope I am." Marceline joked.

The doorbell rang and Morgan sprang up to get it, returning with the pizza. She placed it on the coffee table and popped the movie she'd picked into the TV. "Y'all ready for one of my fav movies?"

"Is it the Pokémon Movie?" Marceline asked

"Nope, its The Road to El Dorado." Morgan replied grabbing a piece of pizza.

"Well, that's what the ring is for, but I'll figure something out," Diego chuckled with a smile as he was trying to figure it all out himself. While he would get the ring, he had no idea what to actually do. "But thanks for helping on the mission to get the ring, guys," he said.

"That's what we're here for. And we're also gonna help take care of your son," Finn added with a smile. "Though Morgan said she didn't wanna any kids," he said shrugging his shoulders. While he was dating her and being intimate, they weren't super serious yet, though Finn didn't really know about his feelings and such.

"What's El Dorado?" Princess Bubblegum asked. From what she knew about movies, she knew most had emphasis in the human culture that existed before, but not much else that she figured out. Some showed that humanity was not all that different than how people were now while others could rival the absurdity that made up Ooo.

"No problem, man." Jake said giving a thumbs up. "You'd do the same for us."

"El Dorado was a mythical place that was reported to be made of gold." Morgan explained. "What most people didn't know was that the place wasn't actually called El Dorado."

"What was it called?" Marceline asked.

"I don't remember, but the supposed king of the place was named El Dorado." Morgan explained further as she fast forwarded through the previews.

"So guys, what do you wanna do now?" Diego asked them both. "You wanna play some video games or something?" Finn asked before the two faced Jake. "I mean, B-MO can do three-man games thanks to the upgrade chip Moe left in the will," Finn added as he recalled finding it in an earleir adventure.

"Well, regardless... thanks for the help, guys," Diego says as the trio spent the rest of the night playing games and preparing for the next day.

"An entire city made of gold would be largely impractical. I imagine dorado means gold in some sort of language," Princess Bubblegum commented as she saw the prewviews being skipped and it reminded her of the time they tried making movies with Finn and Jake. The night continued with the trio of young women having fun and getting to know each other.

One Week Later...

Diego was in his room as he was looking over some boxes. One contaned the two wedding rings that was for both of them. They were enchanted to communciated and sync with one another no matter where they were. Another was the actual engagement ring that was the result of his and the guys' adventure. It would protect her from sunlight and allow her to live all the fun in the sun. The last one was a ring he ended up fighting on accident. It was a weird one that gave some ice powers and it was ina gift box for Morgan's surprise party.

Princess Bubblegum meanwhile was planning the surprise party over in a private room in the party for everyone to celeberate while she finished her own present to Morgan, a special visor that would allow Morgan to do better with her bow and arrow capabilities along with a more high tech bow.

Marceline had brought Morgan out to have a girls' day so Morgan's surprise party could be set up. They went out to have lunch before going to the movies and then shopping. They ended before the party was ready, so Marceline had to figure something out. The two ended up going to a salon to getting their hair and nails done. Basically just a bunch of stuff the two normally wouldn't do.
