"Yeah, but he also told me he wasn't going to tell you the surprise either," Finn said as he was thinking about how Ice King will arrive and when he will. "That's really cool! I didn't know you could sow. Marceline will like it," he added with a smile. "Yeha, though let's hope she doesn't keep it for herself," Jake joked with a smile.

Diego faced with Marceline and was a bit quiet about the thing. "Is... is it kinda the same with us?" DIego coildn't help but ask, his insecurities showing up. He always did what he ccould to make Marceline happy and while he was more relaxed, he couldn't help but worry at times and such.
 
"I could always make her one of her own." Morgan explained. "It's not that hard." She looked at her watch, "you think I should call him?"

"Kinda, I mean I know now to keep my independence but still let you be a huge part of my life." Marceline explained. "The problem was Ash didn't love me for me, he loved me for who he could make me."
 
"Well if you think you need to, go ahead," Finn said as he was wondering about the Ice King. "I'm sure he's all right and he'll be here soon," Finn added as he was sitting next to her. "I hope they like my gift," he added while Jake also nodded as he and Jake lookd through to get some good stuff.

"I love you for you, every bit of you. And if he ever comes back to hurt you..." Diego begna to say before his eyes glowed in anger at what the bastard wizard would face if he messed with Marceline. Though he hasn't been seen since Jake crushed him.
 
Morgan pulled out her phone and sent the Ice King a text asking when he was getting there. "I'm sure they'll love it." She said.

"You don't have to worry." Marceline chuckled. "Finn helped me beat him up pretty good."
 
"Yeah, and Lady brought some nice stuff too and I heard PB got a really nice surrprise too for them," Finn told her with a smile as he decided to go and help out set some things. A text was sent that Ice King was on his way.

"Still.. you are amazing and I don't want anyone to hurt you again," Diego told her as he went over to her to lightly hug her and not disturb her parasol and kiss her cheek. He was still in thought for what would be his master plan.
 
"My Dad's on his way." Morgan said slipping the phone back into her pocket. She looked out the window. "They're here!" She opened the door just as Marceline was going to ring the doorbell.

"Wow this place looks pink and blue." Marceline joked.

"Yup and I have a bunch of Marceline friendly stuff for you to eat." Morgan pointed to the table with strawberries and various other red stuff."
 
"Hey everyone!" Diego told them all with a smile before going to give everyone hugs as he usually does. "Hey Marcy, hey Diego, Hey Hunson," Finn said as he and Jake were greeted them. Hunson just waved at everyone before Peppermint Butler decided to go and talk to him, also keeping him occupied with it.

Heading on the way, Ice King was arriving, but in an unexpected way and a surprised one.

"Have fun with all the red," Diego told Marceline with a nice smile
 
"We'll get started once my dad gets here." Morgan told Marceline. "We're gonna do the cake before gifts because my gift kinda is colored to match the gender."

"Okay." Marceline nodded as she put some strawberries on a paper plate. "Yeah I am. Morgan's pretty good about keeping red stuff around."
 
"Yeah that makes sense. WOuld you like to do the honors to announce it?" Finn asked Morgan with a smile before something arrived. "Surprise everyone!" Ice King said a she appeared. He was dressed in his swanky blue suit and even Gunter had a bowtie and he had a present. "Sorry, UI'm late. Was waiting for my new suit," he said.

"What do you think of his new suit?" Diego asked Marceline as he saw the arrival of the Ice King.
 
"It reminds of Simon before he became the Ice King." Marceline said a bit sad.

"Okay, everyone. I'm gonna have Marceline and Diego play a game before they cut the cake." Morgan said pulling out a chalkboard and some note cards. On the chalkboard it had "girl" written in pink and "boy" written in blue with a white line dividing the board in half. "I'm going to read off an old wives' tale that is supposed to predict the gender and we're going to tally up which one gets the highest score."
 
"Yeah, thought I heard that's also how Betty felt about it," Diego said as he hugged Marceline, referring to Betty, better known as Magic Woman now.

"Uhh sure? But what's the point of the game. Like guess which gender is associated to which old wives' tale," Diego asked Morgan, making sure he got it right.

"And for everyone else, we got snack bowls and other games," Finn pointed out while Jake stretched out to offer everyone drinks.
 
"I think she means we're gonna try to predict the gender based on old wives' tales." Marceline explained.

"Yup." Morgan said excitedly. "You guys ready?"

"Yeah I guess." Marceline answered.
 
"How many of those are still around?" Diego actually said with a smile. "THen again, we're both from before the Mushroom War so we're the only ones who might remember some of these," Diego realized with a smile.

"What are old wives' tales?" Finn said with a raised eyebrow, having not really ehard of the expression before.
 
"It just some that people thought was true a really long time and it was just passed down generation to generation." Morgan explained. "Kinda like if you shave the hair will come back darker, chocolate makes you break out, that kind of stuff."

"Majority of it is complete bull." Marceline added. "But this should be fun to see how many of them can get it right."
 
"Sounds like the stuff PB would say is not scientific at all," Finn commented on what Morgan said. He heard a few of what those sort of sotires were from back when he was a young kid with his mom and dad.

"I wonder if there will be a theme, like all the right answers are what the baby is or if it's a bait and switch," Diego wondered out loud.
 
"The gender is in the cake." Morgan stated. "This is just for fun. Okay first question: are you carrying high or low?"

"What?" Marceline looked confused.

"Is the biggest part of your baby bump above or below your belly button?"

"Below I guess." Marceline lifted up her shirt to see better. "Yeah definitely below."

"According to the wives' tale, boy." Morgan added a tally mark to the boy side and went to the next card. "Next question: are you craving sweet and savory or sour and salty?"

"Sweet and savory." Marceline responded after thinking about it.

Morgan added a tally to the girl side. "Have you been moody or chill?"

"Chill like always." Marceline chuckled.

Morgan add another mark to the boy side. "Is the baby's heartbeat above or below 140 beats per minutes?"

"I don't know." Marceline looked at Morgan like she was crazy.

"Above." Bubblegum yelled.

Morgan added a mark to the girl side before taking a key from her pocket. "Grab the key."

Marceline still looked at Morgan like she was crazy but the key at the round end.

Morgan added a tally on the boy side. "Are you getting acne?"

"No."

Morgan added yet another mark to the boy side. "So far two for a girl and four for a boy. Now that you're out of the first trimester, did you have a lot of morning sickness during the first trimester?"

"Oh yeah." Marceline said with a look as if she was having war flashbacks.

Morgan marked another for the girl. "Which one of you was more aggressive during conception?" Marceline raise her hand and Morgan marked another for the girl. "Okay we're back to being tied. Have you legs swollen up?"

"Nope. I still got the same old thin legs."

Morgan marked the girl side. "Have you been clumsy or graceful?"

"Uh, graceful duh." Marceline chuckled.

Morgan added another mark for the girl side. "Are your feet colder than usual?" Marceline shook her head and Morgan added a tally to the girl side. "Are you getting headaches?" Marceline shook her head again, and another mark was added to the girl side. "Is your pee bright yellow or pale yellow?"

"Dark."

Morgan added another make to the girl side. "And since you think it's a girl." She added another. "Last question is for Diego. Have you gained weight since Marceline got pregnant?"
 
Diego just remained quiet while listening to the questions that Morgan was giving over to Marceline. He wasn't sure really on what to do. So he just wondered whic answer could be which regarding all of these strange old wives' tales. He haven't heard of any of them that she was saying.

He was snapped out of his thougths when Morgan asked him a question. "Um, I haven't gain any weight," Diego asked, a bit confused.
 
"Okay so that's another for the boy side." Morgan made the final mark, "that is seven for a girl and five for a boy. According to old wives' tales, you're having a little a girl, but is it true?"

"Yes, yes it is." Marceline said flatly.

"You two ready to find out?" Morgan asked.

"Yup." Marceline said before looking at Diego.
 
"Yup, let's see," Diego said as he couldn't help but smile a bit at how sure Marceline was. He himself didn't know what to expect. He wasn't as confident in how he'd raise a daughter than a son though part of that was because he didn't have a sister or any female friends to help give him a basis back when he was normal.

However, regardless of how the child woould be, Diego felt confident that he and Marceline would and take care of them no matter what.
 
Morgan pushed the cart holding the cake over to the couple and handed Marceline a knife to cut it. "Here you go."

Marceline carefully cut the cake and pulled a piece out. It was a dense chocolate cake with chocolate chips in it, and between the layers was buttercream frosting that Morgan used food coloring to dye.
 
"Well, which is it?" Diego asked Marceline when she was the first to cut the cake. He was admittingly becoming a bit antsy with the reval, but also the fact that the chocolate cake looked really good. She had her back turned to him so he couldn't see.
 
Marceline turned and showed him the cake on her plate. She was tearing up while smiling. "We have a son." She said before putting the cake down and hugging him. "I'm having a mini you."

Morgan turned to everyone and threw her hands up. "It's a boy!" She yelled happily.
 
Diego looked at the cake slice, having blue buttercream frosting. He looked to Marceline and his own tears were on his eyes. He lovingly hugged her back. "It's really sinkin in. We're gonna be the best parents ever!" Diego told her with a big goofy smile as he kissed her.

The entire group celeberated and cheered, even Hunson. "I wonder how much he'll look like me," Hunson Abadeer couldn't help but joke. Diego was too busy hugging and kising Marceline to listen to what he said.
 
"I know." Marceline said overwhelmed by emotion. "I love you so much, Diego, and I'm so happy you're my son's dad."

Morgan nudged Finn, "I was right."
 
"I love you so much too, Marceline and I'm happy that you're carrying our son," Diego told her back with equal levels of emotion like his beloved was. He leaned in for another kiss while holding her.

Finn just smiled at the whole scene before wrapping an arm around Morgan to bring ehr closer to him. "It's nice. They look so happy," Finn commented with a smile on his face.
