"Well, Ruby and Sapphire only split up to dance along I suppose," Steven mentioned as he saw the two go into another dance. "They'll probably refuse to join us to eat," Steven reckoned as he looked to Rai.

"I suppose this would count as a special occasion," Diego noted to Peridot and Lapis while he began trying the Greek food and savoring it along with the atmosphere and wonderful company. "Oh yeah! Rai said that we're gonna be having a family meal with her grandparents so Garnet, Dad, Pearl and Amethyst are coming,"" Steven told them. "Peridot, Lapis, you wanna come too?" he asked the two. Diego smiled at how Steven considered the two former Homeworld gems as equal parts of his family as well.

"Wait, what was that?" Amethyst said as she stopped stuffing her face when he heard her name be said.
 
"Steven sit down and eat already." Rai laughed. "Your food's gonna get cold."

"If we're invited." Lapis said trying to be "polite."

"Of coarse you're invited, I just wasn't sure if you'd want to come." Rai said.

"She said her sister, Eridan, has a crush on you." Pearl said. "Raiden, which one is Eridan again? The one the parts her hair on the left or right?"

"She parts her hair on the right and she's the one that has dress with the black on it." Rai said as pointed Eridan out.
 
Steven sat down and began eating his food and enjoying it. He smiled over to Lapis and Peridot. The two were like sisters to him and he did his best to make sure they would adapt to Earth and so on.

Amethyst in the meanwhile stopped eating and let out a breath. "Well uh... that's nice. But... I'm not really looking for anyone right now," Amethyst confessed. She was flattered obviously, but she did not put much thought on relationships like that.

"Well, you make your choice in what you want to do, Amethyst," Diego told her with a kind smile. "Hey Pearl, do you wanna dance?" he asked her with a shy smile and blush. He had been steadily dating her, yet he still felt strong emotions when around her.
 
Rai scouted her chair closer to Steven, saying, "That's fine. I wouldn't want you to feel pressured into something you're not comfortable with. But confidence booster, she thinks you're super hot and totally cool."

"Yes, I would." Pearl said standing up and taking Diego's hand.
 
"Hehe, well I am pretty geat!" Amethyst said with a confident smile. "Tell her thanks!" she added as she continued to eat. "Do you want to dance after we finish eating?" Steven asked Rai.

Diego smiled before he took Pearl's hand and began to dance with her. It was a bit of a slower dance, though not a slow dance was playing. He had plenty of experience dancing recently. Even though he couldn't fuse with Pearl because he was human and she was a Gem, it was still a rather nice and wonderful moment to dance with her.

"Thanks again for teaching me how to dance," he told her with a smile.
 
"I will." Rai said, before turning to Steven, and continuing to speak, "I'd rather head back to the beach house if it's alright. My feet are killing me and I do not want to get my feet stepped on if we dance with me being shoeless."

Pearl smiled as the two danced gracefully. "Of coarse." She said. "I'm happy to." She was relieved to find out that Diego was fond of her type of dancing versus a style similar to Amethyst's that had ass shaking and hip gyrations.
 
"Are you sure you don't wanna do just one dance?" Steven asked curiously though he also got a look of concern on her face regarding her hurt feet.

Diego was happy being able to dance with Pearl and such. "Do you picture Steven and Rai getting married?" Diego asked Pearl as he twirled her around while dancing.
 
"Yeah I'm sure." Rai said standing up. Truth be told she didn't want to accidentally fuse and freak out her family, and she didn't want to take the attention away from Dennis and Sadie.

"Definitely, I just hope they don't rush into it." Pearl have the two a quick glance. "Raiden can be rather impatient at times. She has been designing her wedding dress, so that says a lot."
 
"Okay," Steven told her with a smile before he finished his current plate of food. He asked Peedee if he could get him some extra to go. While Peedee did so, Steven told the Gems and Greg he would be heading back.

"Maybe you should talk to Rai about it then," Diego suggestand e to pearl. It wasn't his business per say, but he wanted to help and he knew that rushing into a relationship could be rather reckless, or at least, when going through the stages.
 
Rai waited for Steven before the two headed off to the beach house. She took his hand intertwining their fingers. "You know you're gonna get leftovers tomorrow, right?"

"I will, but I'll wait until after the dinner tomorrow when we meet her family." Pearl sighed. "Maybe meeting her grandparents will give me a better understanding of her. She has said her parents waiting until their late twenties to have kids was weird."
 
"Yeah, but I also got some for Dad," Steven told her with a smile, his hand squeezing hers all the while. "It was a whole lot of fun. I told Peedee to save us some birthday cake," Steven added with a smile while they were heading to the beach house. "Once we're there, you can rest your feet," he comforted her.

"From what I gather, I think it is a culture thing. Different cultures implant different values and expectations," Diego explained to Pearl. He gave her a hug to sooth her. Diego was naturally a very huggy person and Pearl wasn't... least not at first. Apparently, she was okay with large amounts of hugs, least from him.
 
"My feet are fine." Rai said as she rested her head on Steven's shoulder. "I just didn't want to accidentally fuse and freak out my family. Besides, I thought we could have some alone time, you just look so handsome that suit."

"I know. I remember when humans had to get married as teenagers because they died in their fourties or fifties. Now it's unneeded as some of you live to be over a hundred." Pearl hugged him back.
 
Stven just chuckled and blushed. "Well, I mean it would've just been a slow dance. Not enough energy for usto fuse," Steven figured out. He noted some dances need some energy and oomph to fuse. "I understand what you mean though," he told her with a smile.

"Yeah, but I think its an old habit. From the big picture, our lifespan has only been that long fo a little bit when compared to the existence of humanity as a species. Should an apocalyptic event occur, those instincts still remain. Besides, its where those cultural ideas come from," Diego explained, savoring his hug with Pearl.

"Well, we'll be around to protect you humans from that," Amethyst said with a confident smile. Diego couldn't help but smile back.
 
"I'd rather be safe than sorry." Rai said as she climbed the stairs. "We can dance inside if you'd like. Or we could do something else." She added a wink at the end.

"Not unless whatever this 'apocalyptic event' is kills us too." Lapis said as she moved some of her food to Peridot's plate.

Peridot was practically shoving the food in her mouth, saying, "I don't what Greek is but it makes good food."

"Greek is a type of people, one that Raiden and her family belong to." Pearl explained. "It's kind of like how there are different types of Gems."
 
Steven had went in to put the food in the fridge. He did blush when Rai winked. While he had been growing more intimate with Rai, it still sort of flustered him how forward she can be with it and such. "What do you mean?" he asked her as he sat down on the bed of his room.

"Though unlike Gems, culture really is not defined by purpose or design," Diego explained. He had gotten into plenty of philosophical and psychological discussion with the Gems in regards to human and Gem culture as well as the nature of things like life and death.

"We do celeberate the milestones and accomplishments we all make in life," Diego noted with a smile. "And we'll protect the Gems as well," he said confidently.
 
Rai slipped her shoes off and sat next to Steven on the bed. "Well," she said wrapping her arms around him and kissing him on the lips, "we could start with this and see where it goes from there." She wanted Steven to take charge of the situation, push her onto the bed and pull her clothes off. She wanted to feel him on top of her, and, more importantly, inside her. To feel him loose composure and give into pleasure.

Pearl smiled when she heard Diego say he would protect them. She leaned in and kissed him on the lips, something that no one (probably not even Pearl) had expected.
 
Steven embraced Rai with his arms and happily returned the kiss to her, blushing at what she was wanting. He wasn't sure fully what to do, even with the exploration he and Rai did, but he started os slowing, simply savoring the sweet kiss between them and in the embrace.

Diego smiled back at Pearl, but he did not expect for her to lean in with a kiss. Amethyst just stared before giving an impressed whistle. Ruby and Sapphire even paused ther dance to look at the situation, both slightly startld but also cheerful about the whole thing. Diego's face was red and lit up yet he kissed back.

"T-that was wonderful," he stuttered, a goofy grin on his face.
 
Rai continued to kiss Steven, enjoying how safe she felt in his arms. Admittedly she was nervous but she had prepared ahead of time for this. Three days after the two had officially started dating, she'd gone to Planned Parenthood to get a prescription for birth control pills and immediately filled the prescription and starting taking it that night. While there she'd talked with the OBGYN that was working there about ways to further prevent pregnancy.

During the kiss, Pearl shot Amethyst a death glare before returning her attention to Diego. After they broke from the kiss, she just smiled looking at him. "Yeah."
 
Steven savored the comfort and warmth that Rai was as he continued the slow kiss though he also began going a bit more intense with it. He just squeezed and held her tighter while he caressed her, savoring just their connection between the two.

Diego just smiled back, chuckling with mirth while the blush was on his face. "How does that feel?" Amythest before she got an impish smile. "Hey Lapis, why don't you try kissing Diego to see how it feels?" she says cheekily. Greg just sighs while smiling at being with his friends. "Steven and Rai do need to go at their own pace though I think I'll join you Pearl in talking to Rai," Greg stated.
 
Rai shifted herself so she was fully facing Steven before she moved her arms to his shoulders and began leaning back, guiding him to climb on top of her. Once he was on top of her, Rai broke the kiss, saying, "Steven, I love you. My body is your's to do whatever you want with."

"That would probably help." Pearl said. "I don't want to say something and accidentally offend her, although she has proven time and time again to not be easily offended."
 
"I love you too Rai, but you know I'm not as good at this stuff," Steve confessed before he kissed her at a slow and steady pace while he was caressing her body. He still wasn't fully sure to know what he was doing, but he wanted Rai to enjoy herself. "I'll tyr my best," he told her before he tried to kiss her neck. He did get some advice by reading some his dad's... racier romantic novels that he used to read with Rose. It was a bit awkward, but he wanted Rai to be happy.

"So don't worry Pearl, we'll figure it out," Greg told her with a smile. "It is ultimately what Steven and Rai want to do though," Diego did note while he saw the party go on. "How have things been? It is good things have bene quiet with no corrupted Gems," Diego added.
 
"I'm sure you'll do great." Rai said as she let out a small moan feeling Steven kiss her neck. "Just do what feels natural, unless what feels natural put it in my ear or something." Rai said adding a joke at the end to lighten the mood.

""It's been pretty relaxing." Lapis said.

"You mean boring." Peridot was still eating.

"Didn't Rai give you eight seasons of that show she was talking about?" Lapis asked.

"Yes and I watched all eight of them." Peridot responded.

"She gave it to you three days ago."
 
Steven just chuckled a bit shyly before he continued to move at his rather slowish pace. He held her tighter as he kissed her on the face, lips and necks. "Do you really wanna go further?" Steven asked her. Not only did he wanted to make sure, but also so they could strip some of their fancy clothes off so they don't ruin them.

"Wonderfully obsessive our Peridot is, ain't she?" Diego couldn't help but say with a smirk. "How has it been going with you helping the lighthouse, Lapis," Diego asked her. He knew that some of the Gems were gradually helping out more in the town to help people.

"Though I heard we were still trying to find a way to help the corrupted Gems," Diego murmured.
 
"I'm 100% sure," Rai said as she began unbuttoning Steven's suit jacket. "Just so you know, I'm on birth control pills, and using a condom there will only be like a 0.001% chance of pregnancy, so it's like next to impossible."

"It'd go a lot faster if that human would stop bothering me." Lapis stated, not knowing she was talking about Peedee's brother.

"Can we talk about the later?" Pearl asked Diego quietly.
 
Steven blushed a bit harder at what Rai said, but he did smile. He felt like he was ready. He leaned over to kiss her on the cheek. "Where do we put our clothing?" Steven asked her as he hung the suit jacket on its coat hanger while helping Rai with her dress. He also took the time to remove their shoes and socks.

"I'm sorry about what Ronaldo has been doing," Peedee said with a sigh. While his brother has been gradually getting better, he was still difficult to deal with. He wasn't sure what was up with him often. "I do hear alot about sailors and boats thanking the person in charge in helping to keep them safe," Diego tells Lapis with a smile.

He nodded to Pearl while he saw the dancing was slowing down a bit. He encouraged Peedee to go and dance with his date. "EVerything okay?" DIego asked Pearl quietly.
