What's a RP craving you want so bad but can't seem to make happen? (SEE OPENING POST)

There are some I've definitely written off on finding partners for, but some I will bitterly persevere for!

Fandoms are an eternal struggle for me pretty much. Most of what I'm interested in a roleplay-sense are extremely niche in RP-circles as far as I've seen, and in those rare cases I do get nibbles on they usually turn out to be OC x CC-plays which I generally won't do. Have started to flex on this on some fandoms to even get the slight chance of getting some fandom-cravings fulfilled.

Usually the most mainstream of anime and games on my list are the ones that thrive when focusing on fandom searches for obvious reasons, but there's only so many RPs I want to do based on same fandoms (the reason why I have excluded Genshin, Star Rail and Naruto from my fandom-list, and will probably exclude a handful of shounen-titles in the future).

I've had a few Genshin ones start and never flourish which is fine, the plot I want I'm very anal about since it's really the only pairing I have a solid plot for. My other fandoms I'm usually pretty chill with plotting with my partners, but this one I need either a knowledgeable partner that's played the game/knows the lore and characters. Admittedly my fandoms are a bit "older" since I've gotten into very few newer animes due to lack of time and being stubborn to change.

I'm content waiting to see if anyone inquires about, or eventually I might fanfic it myself.

That is pretty much the tale of my Genshin-related plays as well. Couple that with the fact that after the first year I stopped playing it regularly and now really only log-in and play it if there's a nice character in the banner my interest towards basing RPs in it slowly decreased as well. Hope you'll find taker for the Genshin-plot soon!

While following seasonal anime myself I do enjoy more of older/niche stuff in general, which I tend to focus my searches on as well. After peaking your RT there's honestly many older series I never see getting mentioned like Revolutionary Girl Utena, which is one of my favorites and stuff like Wolf's Rain which I'm always glad to see. Then some more popular favorites of mine like Dragon Maid, Haikyuu and Fate of course, so a lot of great picks in my eyes there!

I was the same up until like 6 months ago I started getting back into it because Yelan had a rerun, then I've been playing daily since. But thank you! I keep holding onto hope that it will happen someday.

Oh man Wolf's Rain is one of my all time favorites, along with Utena and Witch Hunter Robin. I'm also just SUPER random with what I like in anime and art plays a huge role usually. I keep telling myself I'll get into Jujutsu Kaisen and just haven't had the time to sit down and start it, as well as pay attention.

Understandable reason. The one who will probably bring my ass back to playing it again is when Raiden-banner drops again. Have had terrible luck pulling her.

If I had to pick my favorite modern battle-shounen series that are still ongoing it would most likely be either Bungou Stray Dogs or Jujutsu Kaisen, so definitely recommend giving it a go when you get the chance.

Definitely need to rewatch Wolf's Rain myself. Saw it in 2010 or something when I was starting my anime-journey and remember liking it. Utena I rewatched in 2020 and it was as amazing as I remembered it to be. That soundtrack is still one of the most memorable ones in any anime to me.

As of late I have had an interest in writing a male human x female kemono story. Hard to find that though, so it remains on the eternal backburner.

There's a FFXIV idea (well, several of them actually) I've been wanting to play out for a little while now but I've only just remembered. One of them is inspired by a NSFW animation where Yugiri is captured and interrogated by Yotsuyu. Obviously it would be a yuri focused one, set during Stormblood and such. Though I wouldn't mind putting MC Viera male in there as well, taking on a sub role alongside Yugiri.

I do tend to like "what if" stories a bit and this is definitely one of them.

Just realized that my favorite webtoon Mage & Demon Queen had finished it's last season, and now that I've been binge-reading it the craving to do an RP between Malori and Vel has grown exponentially by every chapter, but also the craving to do an original story that's heavily inspired by this peak webtoon.

Though in general a wholesome and cute story-focused GL roleplay is something I've been craving for a long time. Been feeling my interest towards MxF stories waning over time since those are good chunk of what I get offered and end up playing, so any change from the formula would be appreciated, but FxF is where my interest lies most heavily at the moment.

A good Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds RP. One complete with scripted Duels, character exposition, plenty of angst and some chances for lewdery.

Had a few buuuut they've since petered out due to RL stuff.

We all have those cravings, that one itch that just can't seem to be scratched, what's yours?

Mine

Titanfall 2: One of my top fandom cravings. I have a thing for sapient free willed robots and there is something about being bonded to one that I really like in terms of RP. Add in all the possibilities and things the IMC could do to captured enemies and all the experimentation, the exploration of the bond between man and machine and more, I'm surprised no on has jumped on it for RP

Staff Edit 01/18/2022:
If you see someone's craving in this thread and you want to discuss RP with them or ask them more about it, please PM them! Otherwise, others' posts might get lost with frequent discussion posts. Feel free to PM a member of staff if you have questions. Thank you!
Just anything too oddly specific and something only you'd seemingly get, that kind of stuff.

just want a submissive cat girl that will let me be her master, which is harder to find than I originally thought.
Would think something like that would be an easy one.

Finding someone Security Breach/SAMS that does not involve turning a character into a pervert/sex feind is extremely difficult.

Been dying to write a Fallout New Vegas RP. Been dying to write my soft spoken New Canannite cowboy, maybe against an escaped Legion slave? Or maybe a Follower of the Apocalypse...hmmm

I would love to write a Dragon Age II romance between my Hawke and Fenris. That is my favourite coupling in the entire series (Yes, Fenris beat Zevran for my favourite companion) and it will always leave me weak in the knees.

I beat 2 not too long ago, and got WEAK for Fenris. Might honestly be interested in writing him

Ok, so have you ever heard of the Schmidt pain index? If not, it's an experiment created and performed by Justin Schmidt where he categorized and rated the level of pain of every insect sting in the world. Of course, the list wasn't truly exhaustive, but it was 71 total bugs. A super cool experiment that honestly does little for science, but does warn people of how painful various bugs can be.

Ok, now take that... change it from "how painful is the sting" to "how painful is the sex." Then, change "every insect in the world" to "every Pokemon."

I'd crawl through broken glass and lemon juice to do this rp.

I'm having a hardcore craving for an RP based on the setting of the Scout Crossing Comics... but that will never happen because it would require for me to find someone else who;
1. Read Scout Crossing
2. Enjoyed Scout Crossing
3. Would be down to play in the setting of Scout Crossing

...though just the idea of superpowers based on tattoos, was really cool.
I just loved the magic system they came up with, and now I'm gonna gush about it a little bit because I can't find the comic online anymore.

Basically, the Crossing bloodline had unique blood that, when interacting with ink, could bestow superpowers. The older son of the Crossings, Chance, and his best friend a tattoo artist named Finn, figured out how to weaponize this and established their crew in the city as the top dogs. Except one day, a rival crew managed to take down Chance, and they drained him dry, using his blood to power everyone in their gang...

Their problem then became known after five years; ink mixed with Crossing blood slowly kills you as you use it if its not refreshed with more Crossing blood, as the super-powered ink ends up draining the moisture from your body as a substitute for the needed power source that is their unique hemoglobin, to the point where your skin, and eventually, bones start cracking and shattering like glass on impact. So now, everyone is out to hunt Scout, Chance's younger brother, the last source of that needed ichor they can use to keep their powers from fading away with lack of use as their tattoos fade out, or from killing them as a result of using them without refreshing said tattoos with the ichor mixture of Crossing blood and ink.

There were so many cool elements to that power system, like people figuring out other cool things to do with the ink, such as Finn who spray-painted eyes on his shop so he could see what was going on around it at all times, and did the same on the inside so he could continue to perform as a tattoo artist despite having been blinded in the attack that lead to the kidnapping and death of Chance.

It was campy as hell, but fun, and I'm sad that the writer never continued it.

Some elements were chew the meat and spit the bones, but overall it was a fun concept and I'd love to play in it, or write something inspired by it.

At that odd stage where I'm totally obsessed with Frieren (the anime), but don't know if I should wait until more of the show is released before doing RP's in it... either way, definitely, definitely gonna be wanting to do some AU stuff in this fandom someday soon.

I just finished this webtoon like 3 weeks ago and was fangirling hard. Super happy with how it ended.

I still have handful of chapters I saved for the 3+ hour bus trip that I will take tomorrow, but I'm sure I will be jumping up and down on my seat as I read it. It's one of those rare webtoons that have stayed as amazing as it was in the first chapters. At least one that has been 100+ chapters long.

Need to look for more GL/shoujo-ai manga/manhwa/webtoons etc. to read as well. Read quite a bit, but there's never enough of it for me lol

If you haven't read it yet, Not So Shoujo Love Story on Webtoon is SUPER cute.
