What is your profession?

Aaaaand I swore left and right that I'd never go back into academia, but here I am, reworking my thesis because I was told there would be interest in a second edition...

I'm currently in-between jobs, unfortunately. I'm attempting freelance writing and editing, but I'm struggling to find a place where I can actually get clients. I'm also interested in being a virtual assistant--a cool concept that I wish I'd known about when I was working! I'm also hoping to self-publish on Amazon.

Just a bunch of things to make work--but I'll probably have to find another "real" job soon.

I have the glamorous job of being a stay at home mom, even though I have a college degree in art with an emphasis in graphic design.

So you're focusing now on your baby? The said degree is in-demand nowadays, you can also work home based if you want too.

I'm an IT guy. I have my A+ and CCNA, worked as a network analyst for while and nowndo in-home PC repair.

Construction, mostly solar, some ones gotta do it ^^; (new hires like me get crap pay even if we are skilled and certified) ^^;

Steamfitter / Welder at a Oil Refinery. Looking to get shipped out to a Platform once my Certs are in order.

As much as I would have liked getting into HVAC, there's a ton more money and entertainment in my career

"CEO" at a larp shop. We're producing stuff ourselves, we're buying from others, we're selling both to resellers as well as to "end customers".
"CEO" means... i am her royal majesty when our "big boss" is away to visit our production (which he does about 5 months) each year, which actually means im doing everything. *l* The important stuff as well as cleaning our bathrooms at the office.
In summers im selling our stuff at a lot of festivals and renaissance fairs and so on. It's a LOT of fun, it's tiring as hell, I'm often working 250+ hours per month and i LOVE it.

I work in the dairy industry at the local plant; and let me tell you...
...for someone having a lactation fetish, work (too)often turns in a dumb-smiled routine :D
But hey... Why not? Time possesso quicker

Have recently moved and transitioned, temporarily, as a casino employee. But within the next month or so, my father and I will finally be in business together running our own comics and games shop.

Electronics engineer/systems designer. Focused mainly on designing interfaces between hardware and networks and programming the drivers.

Food service worker.

Technically, that’s my job description. I’m a host at a little Italian place I live near. It’s close enough that I can walk (even though with the upcoming Arizona heat... yeah)

Same as Sync I think: IT Help Desk.

I'm less shit-kicker and more blame-receiver & mushroom. That is: Kept in the dark and fed bullshit.

You have no lived until you've had an angry cardiac surgeon who cannot get his email to work while he's on vacation in Italy on the line. Vicious is the word! He was later told by his chief that he was forbidden to call the help desk. We cheered. :p
