Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

It was early in the morning, Sasuke had been alone for hours, then the door opened. Slowly at first, then it was thrown open and footsteps rushed to Sasuke. Soft hands cupped his cheeks, unfamiliar hands. "You're alive..!" Soft cries could be heard as his head was lifted up. The face he saw was vaguely familiar, but her horns brought it all back. The little girl he had saved, it was her, only she had grown. "He said you had died, but I knew you hadn't..!" She moved to undo the chains around his wrists.

His throat hurt if he tried to speak, so he only watched her, his expression holding a vague relief. He was actually so happy to see her. Maybe now Yukimura would see Akihime for the vile woman that she was. When his wrists were freed, he fell forward, not having the strength to stay upright on his own.

Minehime caught him before he hit the ground, helping him sit up before carefully helping him to his feet. "You're ok now..." Her heart ached at the state he was in, he was the only one who's helped her, he helped her find Hidemune, she wouldn't let him suffer anymore. Moving slowly, she let him lean against her, careful to not hurt his frail body as they moved toward the door.

Moving was agony. But he forced himself forward. He had been gone for years, used like some instrument of pleasure. But he wanted to continue. He needed to see Yukimura. He was Sasuke's only drive to leave this cold and dank prison.

Minehime remembered the layout of the estate like the back of her hand. It had all come flooding back when she saw Akihime, and this time, she wouldn't be running away. Moving as quickly as she could without hurting Sasuke, she hurried back to Daihachi's room.

Sasuke would whine and moan in pain but urged her whenever she stopped to check on him. Thankfully, Daihachi was out training with Yukimura and was not present in his room.

Minehime laid Sasuke down on the bed, moving away for a second to get water, then to help him drink some. "What happened? I don't understand.." She shook her head as she carefully laid him back down.

She nodded, covering his frail body with a blanket, he looked so skinny and cold. "How do I help? I tried to tell Daihachi, but he wouldn't believe me without proof. I don't know where Akihime or that woman are right now either." She kept her voice low, so she wouldn't be heard.

She nodded. "I'll only be gone for a few moments, will you be ok?" She didn't even want to leave him in the first place, he was her friend and witness.

She gave a slight nod before hurrying out of the room to find Daihachi and Yukimura. "Dai.. Daihachi!" Yukimura stopped when he saw the young girl. "Is everything alright?" He asked. Minehime shook her head.
"Please, you have to hurry, both of you!"

"I found him!" Those words alone were enough to make Yukimura's heart skip a beat, his eyes widening.
"Take me to him." He didn't have to be told anything more; Minehime obliged and hurried back to Daihachi's room, where Yukimura nearly slammed the door open. His eyes went wide when he saw his dearest friend, the one he believed for sixteen years to be dead.

Sasuke lifted his head, or tried to, and looked up at Yukimura. A smile tugged at his lips, making his tired and weary expression that much more prominent, "Hey...dana...long time, huh...?"

Minehime stood in the doorway as Yukimura threw down his spears and moved quickly to Sasuke's side, falling to his knees at the bedside. "I...I buried you... Sixteen years ago, the corpse was too mangled to tell if it really-" He clenched his fists and gnashed his teeth to keep himself from crying. "Sasuke... It's truly you, isn't it?" Tears dripped from his eyes, and before Sasuke could answer, Yukimura pulled the frail man into a hug, shaking hard as he fought tears.

"There was one time...when you were still very young...you went out into the fields of Kai to train so you could impress Shingen..." It sounded like Sasuke was struggling, and he was, it hurt so much to talk and breathe, "You went out a little too far and we hadn't heard from you in a while...so we went out looking. Shingen had...a whole search party combing the fields for you. I found you near the tree line...trapped in a cave tunnel. You were so scared." He chuckled weakly, "But as soon as you saw me...oh man, did you brighten up quick...like the sun after a storm. I pulled you out of there and you didn't let go of me, even after we were safe at the estate." It was definitely Sasuke, no one else could recall a memory so clearly like he could. Daihachi stood with Minehime, watching silently.

Yukimura began to cry as Sasuke spoke, nodding his head before pulling away to look at his friend. "Where had you been all this time?" It wasn't accusing, it was kind and concerned. "I searched for months for you.. None of your people could find you, and one by one they kept dissapearing as well." Yukimura had grown so much, and not only physically. "I only stopped when we found the body... I should have known it wasn't you, I should've kept looking..!"

Sasuke's expression darkened, "Why don't you ask her?" He nudged his head and Daihachi turned, seeing his mother standing only a few feet away. Akihime looked shocked - and not the "oh thank the Gods, you're alive!" kind of shocked. "Sasuke...! You...you're home..."
"Kaa-san...?" Daihachi looked confused. She sounded like she was upset.

Minehime nearly hid behind Daihachi, holding tightly to his arm as she avoided any eye contact with Akihime.
"Akihime... What does he mean?" Yukimura had turned to face his wife, but remained at Sasuke's side.

"He's obviously weary from escaping whatever prison confined him...!" She said. Sasuke glared.
"Yeah, because getting to here from the other side of the estate was exhausting." He hissed. She clenched her fists tightly.
"Be silent, Sasuke. You're obviously sick." She struggled to keep her voice level. But she was so angry. So beyond livid, she was ready to kill everyone in front of her.
"You can't hide what you've done any longer, you deceitful bitch!" Sasuke snarled. Akihime exploded, lightning dancing between her fingers.
"I said SILENCE!!" She screamed, body shaking.

The room went silent except for the sound of crackling electricity. "Akihime." Yukimura stood up, his eyes holding conflicting emotions. "Tell me you weren't the one who did this?" Yukimura couldn't just ignore what his friend had to say this time, he wouldn't. The last time he did, he dissapeared.

Akihime looked to him and her anger melted. It wasn't fair. How was he - a man - able to make her feel the way she did? She hated it, but it was so nice. She...loved him. The lightning stopped and she lowered her gaze in shame. She didn't have to tell him. He already knew the answer. Daihachi looked horrified.
"Kaa-san...no...you're lying!" He said, voice cracking, "Someone put you up to this!"
Akihime closed her eyes, "That is not the case, Daihachi-kun..."
