Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Yukimura gripped his spears tightly in each hand. "Katakura-dono, I don't want to have to fight you." He said. "But this woman was taken and I will not stand for the heinous acts your lord has put her through."

"I'm sorry, Yukimura-dono." Kojurou refused to move and Akihime only grew angrier.
"Step aside, Right Eye, or I will send you to whatever afterlife you crave." She spat venomously.

Yukimura brought his weapons to the ready, scowling softly, he didn't want to have to fight Kojurou, but it looked like he didn't have much of a choice.

"Kojurou." Akihime went rigid and she turned sharply, glaring death at the One Eyed Dragon. Masamune pushed through the small platoon and stopped before Kojurou. "Take Sanada and his warriors outside. I'll be out to deal with them soon."

Yukimura watched Masamune, a disappointed frown on his face. "Masamune-dono, what is this? Tell me this is a misunderstanding." He didn't lower his weapons, scowling heavily.

"I cannot let you do as you please!" Yukimura took a stance. "Release her now!" He demanded, a bit of anger in his chest when Masamune called Akihime a bitch.

Masamune looked to Yukimura, his pupil slitted. "I'm not gonna ask you again, Sanada." He snarled.
"Yukimura-sama, please...I'll handle this...forgive me for even dragging you into this." Akihime said, giving him a sad smile.
"Dana, I hate to be a bother, but you have a massive group of Masamune's forces headed your way!" Sasuke called.

Yukimura ground his teeth and scowled, but gave a short nod. "Retreat to the courtyard." He ordered begrudgingly. After leading his men out of the dungeon and to the courtyard, Akihime was left by herself, Amaya on the floor not gen feet in front of her.

"Where's the shard?" Masamune growled. Akihime clasped her hands together gently and scowled softly.
"Gone."
"Gone where?" He sneered. She shook her head, giving a half hearted shrug.
"I don't know. It was stolen from me." She replied. Masamune clenched his jaw and moved into the cell. Akihime's blood ran cold but she kept her expression stoic, "What are you doing?"
"Convincing you to give me the information I want." He stated before grabbing Amaya by her hair.

Amaya frowned weakly as she was pulled to her knees by her hair, empty eyes falling on Akihime. A soft whimper came from the mangled woman, then she reached out with her remaining hand, trying to reach Akihime desperately.

In an instant, the hand that was extended was on the floor, severed at the wrist. Akihime's eyes widened and she looked to Masamune. The Dragon's Claw dripped and shimmered with fresh blood, and Masamune's expression was cold and uncaring.
"Y-You..." Akihime began to shake, "You son of a WHORE!!"

Amaya didn't even cry out when her hand was severed, simply pulling her arm back to look at the bloody stump. A single tear ran down her cheek, as if even in her current state, she knew what was happening. She tried desperately to crawl toward Akihime, not even bothering to stop the bleeding.

Akihime took a step forward, but Masamune put his Claw to Amaya's throat, keeping Akihime in place.
"D-Don't..." What was wrong with her? It was like she was stuck in the burning temple again, "Please, she's all I have..."
"Where is my shard?" Masamune demanded. Akihime glared.
"I told you, it was stolen!" She said. Masamune scowled and cut Amaya's arm off just below the elbow, making Akihime twitch and swallow a scream of protest.

Amaya was starting to lose blood faster and faster, it pooling around her knees and causing her to slip forward. Masamune was still holding onto her hair however, so she was forced to struggle to get back into a kneeling position using only her weakening legs.

"Every wrong answer, she loses a limb." He spat. Akihime trembled.
"I told you, I don't know!" Akihime yelled. Masamune removed the rest of Amaya's remaining arm before moving to her feet.
"Where?"
"It's not here, let her go!" Akihime yelled. Masamune removed her left foot first and Akihime almost jumped out of her skin, "Stop!!"
"You know where the shard is, just tell me!"
"Osaka!! It's in Osaka!!" She screamed, fighting tears, "Let her go, please...!"

Amaya was deathly pale at this point, not even struggling anymore as what remaining limbs she had went numb some time ago. She'd lost too much blood, and even with magic, her organs were sure to start failing, not to mention she could no longer walk and had no arms. She was slumped against the ground as far as she could with Masamune holding her hair, her breathing shallow.
"Just cut her head off already." Megohime growled in Masamune's head, wanting both Amaya and Akihime to die for what hey did to her.

Masamune put his blade back to Amaya's throat and Akihime screamed, blasting him backwards with a solid orb of magic. She kept blasting him, forcing Megohime from his grip and halfway across the cell. Akihime's breathing was heavy, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"You got what you wanted, you bastard child!! I should repay you in kind for what you've done to my Amaya!!" She was furious, lost in the emotions she had kept bottled for so many years. Masamune's vision was starting to fade, his chest felt like it was going to cave in. Akihime used her magic to send Masamune to a random part of his estate, she didn't care where. Her hateful gaze shot to Megohime, her body quaking.
"If you don't want to be smelted down and turned into arrowheads, you'll pick up yourself and get the fuck out of my sight, you glorified toothpick."

Megohime didn't respond to Akihime, returning to her human form when she was forced from Masamune's hand. She glared at Akihime before leaving the room quickly, not wanting to see if Akihime really would smelt her down onto arrowheads.

Amaya lay unmoving in a puddle of her own blood, her raspy, forced breathing the only noise in the room. She was close to death, to close to be saved anymore; she was suffering.

Amaya groaned weakly when Akihime held her in her arms, the only thing registering in her head was the pain she was in. Her eyes stared passed Akihime, up at the ceiling as the light slowly faded from them.

She bit her lip and moved over Amaya, wrapping her hands tight around the elf's throat. "I-It's ok now, Ama...I-I'll fix it...I'll fix everything....j-just sleep, ok? I'll take care of you, I promise..." She said weakly.

Amaya let out a couple of soft gurgling noises, not struggling much at all other than the occasional weak shifting of her legs. It took a few minutes, but Akihime knew once her friend was gone. The light was gone from her eyes, she had ceased to struggle, and the room was now dead silent.

She laid beside her, not caring that she also laid in her friend's blood. She stayed that way for a long time, she didn't really care how long. The powerful mage was reduced to a trembling teen; she felt so numb, helpless. She hadn't done anything without Amaya, what was she to do now? Sasuke came in after the battle with Date's forces and froze in shock and disgust.

Amaya lay lifeless on the ground, covered in blood and missing both arms and her foot; clearly her death had not been painless. Her lifeless eyes stared up at the ceiling, mouth open partially. Akihime however was still breathing, laying beside her dead friend.
