Requiem of Destruction (1x1 with DarkMudkip)

Minehime slid out of bed and stood by the side of it while she watched Sasuke pack her things, carefully cradling her bruised arm.

Minehime nodded and took a step closer to Sasuke, taking his hand and squeezing her eyes shut as tightly as she could.

Sasuke took a small black ball from his pouch and threw at at the ground by their feet. It popped and a black smoke formed around them, once it dispersed they had arrived in Osaka. "Alright, you can open your eyes now.."

Minehime opened her eyes and looked up at Sasuke. "Where are we..?" She asked quietly.

Minehime looked terrified, looking around the bustling city with wide eyes before back up at Sasuke. "What do I do?"

He frowned softly. He really needed to get back to the estate; he still needed to find Yukimura. But something could happen to her while he was away. He was conflicted on what to do. "Ok, I'll stay for a little bit to help find somewhere safe, ok? But I do really need to get back."

Minehime nodded and held Sasuke's hand against her bruised cheek; it was warm like a normal humans, and even the bruises radiated more heat like a humans would. "Am I in trouble..? I said I was sorry for hurting Yuki.."

He frowned softly and knelt beside her, "You aren't in trouble...I'm doing this to keep you out of trouble. Don't...don't worry about what happened to Yuki. Let's just take care of you for now."

He walked around with her, looking for a secure place every chance he got. Under Toyotomi rule, she would be more than safe here; no one would dare make a scene here, not even that suspicious priestess Akihime. He then had an idea. What better place than Osaka castle itself? "Come on, I know just the place to keep you safe." He said and tugged her along gently.

Minehime gave a nod and trotted after him, keeping pace easily even with her heavy limp. "Where are we going?"

She swallowed hard, but continued to follow Sasuke without any protest, albeit nervously.

They approached the castle and were undoubtedly stopped by the guard. "What is your business here?" "I am here to ask Lord Toyotomi to shelter this child while I deal with the turmoil in Kai." Sasuke answered. The guards gave each other a glance before both laughing loudly. "Hideyoshi-sama would not take in a child." "Certainly not an odd looking one like her."

Minehime felt shame burn in her ears when the two men laughed and called her weird. She looked down at the ground and hid one of her horns with her hand, as if that would help. "I'm not odd looking.." She mumbled.

"If that helps you sleep better at night!" One laughed. Sasuke scowled lightly, "Listen, would you just let us in to speak with him?" "Sorry, ginger, no can do." The other guard said. Sasuke grew frustrated, clenching his jaw.

Minehime gave Sasuke'a hand a little tug, looking up at him. "What are we gonna do... I thought you said I'd be safe here.." She looked scared and disappointed, frowning softly.

"Aw, ya gonna cry~?" The guards teased before bursting into a fit of laughter. "What's going on over here?" The guards jumped to attention, looking terrified. "Okaerinasai, Hidemune-sama!" They greeted as they bowed. Sasuke turned and looked behind him; a much younger looking version of Masamune stood with a disapproving scowl on his face. "These two come seeking the aid of our Lord and you choose to do nothing but laugh?" "F-Forgive us, Hidemune-sama!" The first guard stammered.

Minehime's eyes widened and she took a cautious step behind Sasuke and out of sight, keeping a tight hold on his hand. Something told her she knew the young man before them, he looked so familiar, yet she couldn't place where she had seen him before. A soft light radiated behind Sasuke and the assassin was no longer holding the hand of a young girl, but a sheathed dagger.

"What the?" Sasuke looked at the dagger confused and Hidemune's eyes widened. "You have a living weapon?" He asked, "May I?" "Uh...sure..." Sasuke carefully handed the dagger over and Hidemune looked it over gingerly.

The small dagger was warm in Hidemune's hands, not hot but a comfortable sort of warm, and it hummed softly. It was clear the dagger was indeed a living weapon; it glittered in the sun, the little blade quite an impressive piece.
