Book 1 - The First Shard - P L O T
  • Left in ruins, the world of Marosia tries to survive under the King of Darkness' reign. The people wonders where the noble knights have gone, and while some blame them, some would open their homes for their protection. While the knights trek on the journey to where the first shard is said to have been sent (to the West, through the mazes and towards the Elves), it is rumored that the Treacherous Knight has been sent on a hunt for that shard as well. How many times will their paths cross roads? What dangers lie in the path towards the Western kingdom, and who will achieve the first known shard?[/list:u]

    * I know we're still working on some profiles and some openings are still available. However, this is to get the ball roll. The 2 posts per week requirement will start the coming Monday, 12th of October.

I was driven home to get my painkillers during class because I nearly collapsed..

  • xD S'ok, it doesn't have to be extensive for the KoD~
    Actually, since he doesn't show up for quite some time, perhaps
    a bit NPC'd or even flashbacks of him from other characters for now,
    you don't have to finish it ASAP. Well, unless you wanted the whole
    consistency like with the Queen of Light. <3

Yeah,

I just felt a little dissapointed because I wrote down his life's history earlier and it is like 2 pages long on word...
I am proud of that...

There is also his personality.

Not a problem, as I said, I can easily do the king's full profile, since I have already written it and actually have it handy.
No burdon at all


I also have a bio and personality for my Vile Sorcerer, but I still need a face, I wanted him to be pretty, and nice-looking to fool his enemies into a false sense of security before he horribly kills them and makes their corpses dance... :3

Will you be making a new "Intro" Kitten? Or is the one already posted what we're basing from?
Also: how are all the characters to start out?
Are they together? If so: where?
Are they separate? If so: why?

So many questions. D:

  • Same intro will work. I'm just starting myself off with Nao for fun.
    As for all the characters, it's up to everyone where you want to start it.
    The good guys will be together, and the bad guys will be together *talked to Raiden already*

    Other than that, the "where" is wherever you guys want.
    I left it opened ended at the end of the intro, so that the good guys
    could either start off in the bar as well, staring at the drunk, taking a rest, or whatever.

    Or, they could be out and about on the journey. In the Quick Help thread,
    there's an easier access to the map of marosia. Because it doesn't have direct names,
    feel free to make up cities, towns, and landmarks' names as the story progresses.

    I'll totally read it all and make a note of it, to put it on the Quick Help, so we can look
    back and remember the new landmarks we created <3

Say, should I write up a bio thing for you for the Vile Sorcerer or are you going to do that later?

Metagaming, as in not separating the player from the character knowledge-wise. IE a player magically imparting OOC knowledge into their character, like weaknesses the character shouldn't know.

He is a Warlock I guess, or whatever people in this land call evil spellcasters who use black magic. He also dabbles in Necromancy, but that is raising corpses and stealing souls.

Age: 24?
He wouldn't really have an element, and for the most part he doesn't often use elemental spellsw, he uses Black Magic (Forbidden or demonic magics), kind of a non-elemental thing, you know, raising the dead (as souless slaves), summoning demons, ripping souls from bodies, dealing out curses and hexes and otherwise dabbling with things that a mortal shouldn't dabble with. His magic draws on the evil in his soul instead of relying on outside help.

His weakness however will be close combat... By himself and unenhanced he may be able to knock out a hooligan with a sword, he wouldn't stand a chance against a well trained knight unless properly armed. Getting close to him however is the hard part.

    (also the start of tests and midterms for Kitten. WHOOTS)

    Can't wait to see what's going to happen~ <3

    Just as a random note, but since there might be two-three different scenes going on at once,
    (try not to get too confused?) posting order will be a bit..strange. As example, I'm going to be bringing in the treacherous knight to get the dark side going with Raiden, but they don't immediately interact with the good guys. So, whether or not I post for him, shouldn't hinder the posting order of the good guys.

    Yes, I probably just stated the obvious, but just wanted to cover some grounds. *spreads self on ground* xp
