A soft groan left Coltons mouth, his head moving to burry into Nya’s chest. His lips pressed to her bare skin, his body staying still.

“No work. Only sex.” He grunted.

Dominik was up in a second. His eyes a tuned on her once she had awoken from her shaken state.

“Another one?” He asked, his arms wrapping around the woman in an attempt to help comfort her.

The mans eyes slowly opened, allowing the bright light to wash over his blurred sight – still fresh with the slightest of dreams.

“Always in your arms love.” He purred, his lips pressing against her skin. “How about yourself?”

She sunk into his arms, wanting to cry. It was so real. And yet...yet the longer she stayed awake the more she couldn't recognize it. It felt like a memory, and yet it wasn't.

His words struck a cord in her, like she had had this nightmare before. Had she? Kayden couldn't remember.

"I'll be okay," she sighed, rubbing her temples, "Just a little shaken. Are you on call today?"

She groaned, her perfect body rolling under him as his head buried into her chest. Her eyes closed as her fingers dug into his scalp, massaging it.

"As much as I love sex with you," she sighed, "We have a rogue vamp on the loose baby, and he's been killing every three days. Today's day three."

Her perfect voice coated the air around them, making it light and airy as she sunk deeper into the sheets.

"Fine, a quick round and then I'm getting your ass into a shower."

He had won this game again. Something he never complained about. Colton’s head moved up while his lips quickly found her nipples, one of his hands quickly finding her lower regions to massage.

“Sex. Don’t care for the vamp.” He grumbled against her soft skin. “Or shower.”

"Always?" she smiled, "You make it sound like we've done it more than once silly. And yes I slept perfectly."

She kissed him, then pulled back blushing realizing how brazen she was being, "Um...sorry. Hey, are you hungry? I can probably sneak downstairs past Jay and Cole and grab us some breakfast."

Why had he asked if she’d had that nightmare again? It seemed odd to ask something when she had never woken up in such a fright. That wasn’t right. Yes she had. Had she? The demon shook off the confusion and moved back to what was at hand. One of Dominik’s hands rubbed her back and the other moved to rub her thigh gently while she now rested in his lap.

“Nope. The day’s all to us. Unless there’s an emergency.” He grinned, leaning in to kiss her hungrily. “How about a day at the mall? You need some new clothes.”

An hour later she was scooting him into the shower, a stupid grin on his face.

"I'll make some coffee," Nya called, "I have work in an hour though, so no more distractions."

While her boyfriend ran around the city playing cop to the supernatural, Nya worked from home in their beautiful study in their recently mortaged home. Between her consulting job with a cosmetic company as a front to help Colton with research and her normal job at a local dance studio, Nya was a busy woman.

"Do you want an omelette love, or some french toast?"

Kayden sighed, growing calmer at his touch. She nodded at his suggestion, happy to have him for the day. The life of a firefighter was never dull, and the free time she got to spend with her other half felt like a slice of heaven.

"I always like new clothes," she grinned, "Maybe we can call Lily and John and ask them to join."

Grayson’s clear blue eyes stared at her with curiosity. She should have been affected. Why hadn’t she been tossed into the life he’d created for her? Was it her proximity? That had to be it…

“Uh.. Yeah. Breakfast would be awesome..” He breathed, watching her with complete and utter focus. “…Just be quiet.”

Bouncing up, she tugged on her tossed jeans and slipped out the door to tip toe downstairs.

He could hear her scream.

"Gray! Gray what's going on?! This isn't my house!"

She was hyperventilating, on the floor racking her hair in panic. Where the hell was she? What was happening?

Slipping on a flannel button up, Colton wandered out of the shower with a large lazy grin. His arms wrapped around her waist and he kissed along her neck.

“Splits with a side of bacon babe?” He grinned with a wink.

"No more sex," she laughed, sticking bacon in his mouth, "You'll get the splits tonight, when I hear all about the vamp you killed today. Now get that cute ass moving."

Spanking him, she handed him a thermos with coffee and a kiss before slipping into her office to get a little work done before her first dance class at two.

Colton and her had met eight months ago, ironically during one of his hunts. He'd picked up the case after noticing the oddity of a man in his twenties having a heart attack in bed, with no prior medical record. The clues had led him to Nya, who admitted she had accidentally killed him - through sex. She explained her siren blood, and that she hadn't been aware how addictive or lethal she could be. The man had literally taken no breaks or sleep, fucking her senseless for an entire weekend till his heart gave out. Somehow he had shown a little mercy, but kept tabs on her. It wasn't long before Nya found herself in his bed, and she hadn't left since.

Dominik’s lips moved to her neck, nipping at the skin playfully as she suggested inviting their friends.

“Maybe. Or maybe I just want Kayden time. How often does that really happen?” He purred against her skin.

Grayson stood, adjusting his clothes quickly before rushing downstairs. His eyes looked around to gather the surroundings – even if he knew what they where he needed to be convincing before he gathered her within his arms. She hadn’t a clue.

“I don’t know babe. But we’ll figure it out.” He breathed, gently moving her hair out of her face and behind her ears. “Deep breaths.”

Colton huffed, kissing her with a mouth full of bacon.

“Fine. But it better be good.” He grumbled, grabbing his shot gun hung beside the back door. “Don’t make them seniors dance too hard babe – don’t want another broken hip.” He teased.

With that, he was out and ready to hunt.

Dakota clung to him, staring out the large window she was beside, overlooking what she could only guess was a city. There were buildings...everywhere. It overwhelmed her, never seeing so much life and so little trees. She took in gulps of air, trying to steady herself. She couldn't smell anyone other than Gray in the house, no other heart beats nearby. And yet she could still hear other people, just further off like they were just outside the house. Sure enough she could see people passing down a street outside the house like Cleansed City had, except they wore odd clothes.

The house around her was nothing like her home either. The layout seemed similar and yet foreign. There was more windows, and everything seemed to have shifted. The master bedroom upstairs had moved but the second floor hall still had a railing and overlooked the main sitting room. The kitchen had completely moved and was no longer hidden by a wall and swinging door, instead more of an open concept that blended with the living room. There were no spare rooms on the main floor either, she could only see two other doors and they were ajar. One opened to a bathroom, and she could see a sliver of a washer in the other.

The decor had renovated itself too; the rustic wooden feel was gone, replaced by a cleaner and edgier black and white look, with tones of red. The entire house was floored in a mahogany wood, with cream colored walls. The living room had a large furry white rug she now sat on, with black couches contrasting it. The kitchen was black granite and white cupboards; she hadn't even checked the master room yet.

"Grayson," she squeaked, her nails digging into his arms, "I'm scared."

"Not often," she sighed.

Kissing him, she got up, rummaging in her large glass wardrobe for the outfit of the day. She loved their small condo, newly renovated only a month ago when they moved in. It was only a one-bedroom apartment, but it was all theirs. Small and cozy, with a fireplace at Dom's request and a small staircase leading to a tiny study at Kayden's request. On the left side of the study was a small door leading to her art room, her sanctuary in the house where she did all her artwork. While he was off fighting fires, she was painting new murals and canvases. Her favorite to date was the wall mural overlooking their king sized bed.

Jumping back onto the bed she kissed him more hungrily, "Okay then. We shower. Grab brekkie and shop the afternoon away. Then tonight I'll make you one of your favorite dishes for dinner. How's that sound handsome?"

Phoenix came back from an early morning run, Changing back to her human form. Her hair was a mess, and her body was sun kissed from a summer of sun, making her look gorgeous.

Unashamed of herself, she strolled into her house to wake the guests and Kyli up. But at Kyli's door there was no answer, and looking inside she found it empty. Her stomach felt uneasy, but instinct told her to check the other rooms. Sure enough they were all empty. Kayden, Dominik, Hades, even Kyli were gone.

"Maybe they are next door."

'Jay you up? Colton? Dakota?' she called out as she jogged across to the other house, walking in without knocking. She caught Jay coming down the stairs looking confused, and for a second she thought it was at her lack of attire.

"Morning kid. I was wondering if the gang was over here?" she asked, looking around, "I took a run this morning, and when I got back the house was empty."

Her morning went by quickly, the consulting work minimal and most of the research for Colton already finished. Emailing what little left she had found and hadn't already sent, Nya packed a snack and changed into leggings and a loose blouse before heading into the garage. They lived in a beautiful two story home, with two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and a kitchen Nya drooled over. It had been hard to find a big enough property too, most houses built these days being cookie cutter and pressed together. But they had held out, and between both their paychecks had found a gorgeous home with a luscious green front and back yard, and a pool to boot.

The attached double garage was dark as she stepped in and found the light switch. Colton, as always, had taken his impalla. It mattered little since Nya's baby was her bike - a sleek harley davidson night rod. It purred to life as she started up the engine and remote opened the garage door. She had fifteen minutes to get to work, and only a ten minute ride through the community streets.

"I'll take the long way," she grinned, peeling out and down her driveway.

His lush lips pressed to her hair, allowing himself to take in her beautiful floral and wooden scent. Strong banded arms pulled her into him as his eyes looked up to take in the wonderful energy of the city that surrounded their beautiful modern home.

“Shhhh. We’ll figure this out together.” His deep lush voice purred. “Why don’t we poke our head out and go take a look?”

Dominik’s arms relented against his mates intentions to get up and dress herself. Once she plucked her perfect body down in his reach his arms slid back into their rightful position.

“I think…” His lips pressed greedily to her neck, wandering along the soft flawless skin of hers with an unmatchable hunger. “…That sounds peeerrrrrrfect.”

With that, he moved his arms to scoop up her light mass, carrying her to the bathroom for their morning shower.

Jay groaned while he twisted throughout the mass of silky blankets. A voice pulled at the edge of his mind but he swatted it off as he struggled to wake. But something deeper than that voice pulled at him. Something was wrong. He may not have any children – that he knew of, but there was an imprint left there from the years of caring for the twins. With a defiant groan, he rolled out of bed and scratched at the twisted green boxers that hung from his thin and overly boney hips. From the way he moved he didn’t look half asleep as he wandered out to Dakotas room. Poking his head in something rung louder in his head. Her bed was a thrown about mess and her pillows in an unusually imperfect manner. With that, he moved out of her doorway and proceeded down the hall and stairs to stare at Nix’s naked form. He nodded at the woman in acknowledgement before swiftly moving to Colton’s room. Without so much as a knock he let himself in. The bed was made, the room was in perfect manner.

“This isn’t right.” He breathed, his large frame turning while he limped in a rather rushed manner. “Dakota’s bed is a mess and Colton’s is made…”

Days pass and Phoenix and Jay have realized they are alone. At first she panicked, knowing they'd be dead when the parents found out, not to mention they were missing 4 adults. Then the plotting came, Jay and Nix coming up with a decent lie to serve Xael or Eli or Reyn when they came looking for their kids. It would buy them time to find them, and the was all the two wolves were doing.

On the third day Nix heard a knock on the door and her heart rose before immediately sinking, recognizing the scent of Elijah.

"Fuck."

Dakota was having a hard time accumulating to her surroundings. On the first day Gray had tried to get her outside, but then a giant beast of metal roared by making her jump and she turned tail and ran indoors, not sure how to defeat the creature. Metal usually stood up well against teeth and claw.

After Gray calmed her down, Dakota set about learning the new world they'd been dumped in. If she was here, there was a high chance the rest of her family and friends were too. But she needed to know the dangers that lurked outside. She found what looked like a library, books lining the walls with a desk in the middle and a weird electronic screen. After a little trial and error she turned it on, and realized it was a computer, something her father had talked about once or twice.

The second day Dakota barely left the library even when Grayson said he was going to take a gander outside. He returned unharmed, to her delight, and Dakota seemed much more at ease, knowing more about the world around them.

"This google thing is amazing," she smiled as he came into the room, "Those metal machines? They're cars. They can transport you anywhere, and so can planes, trains, or boats. Oh and there are these things called..."

She rambled on for a few minutes before realizing he was giving her a funny look, "What?"

The thick scent of perfume and death lingered around the large mans body, his aviator’s covering the darkened and almost blackish red orbs behind them. His blackened and heavily scabbed knuckles tapping against the wooden door. He’d come home not so long ago to find the house empty, and dust layered throughout. He would say he was worried – he wanted to be but he simply couldn’t be. It had left him several days ago. And so had his family. Simply upon the finding, he’d moved on to Jay’s house to ask where his wife and children had disappeared to.

35a09d36c900d21a0421c397daabb917.jpg

Nix answered the door, keeping her heart beat calm and her voice steady.

"Looking for Reyn?"

His wife had left days ago, before the disappearance of the rest. Jay had brought up that sending Eli to Reyn would buy them a couple more days before they asked more questions about Nya. Phoenix also knew she'd need to get rid of him soon, since Ash and Brax were on their way with Nolan. Having decided they needed help, the obvious choice was those two. Telling the parents would end in a lot of slaughter, and Ash was good on her feet.

She could smell the cheap whores and death on him, but chose to ignore it, knowing whatever was going on between the couple had nothing to do with her.

"Reyn went into town over three days ago, and she hasn't been back. If your looking for Nya she's gone too. Kyli took the kids for a trip to the coast, to try and get Nya's mind off her parents split. Me and Jay were just packing up and getting ready to head off after them. Probably be back in a week or so."

Having disappeared into the city to simply enjoy the hussle and bussle of the town, all while buying several things to try and impress the lady wolf while she enjoyed the world at her finger tips. Once arriving back to the library, he listened to the joy in her voice and the wonder across her face.

“Nothing, it’s just cute love.” He purred while sliding in next to her before revealing a small box. Opening it to reveal a rather decadent greenish-blue jewel gently draped with a decorative white gold wrap that exposed the glittering jewel. His eyes looked up at her with a mischievous grin, gauging her reaction.
