“I know, but I know they did.”Tony said sighing quietly, wishing he could be as sure as he sounded. Because he wasn’t sure his own parent had loved him, his father had been so cold and aloof, tony had no idea what the man had thought. “This.”Alais said sitting down before wincing looking at steve. “Do you know anything about the hydra agent?”she asked looking at him as Sue promised to be there soon and that she was leaving right then to come over.
 
he shook his head. how could Tony know that? it was impossible to know now. or maybe not. "Private." Steve informed her. "Civilian, devoted but untrained." he paused and then shrugged, blinking at her. clearly he had only repeated what he had heard other Handlers say about the Hydra agent keeping an eye on Sue and Johnny. Reed was also coming over, as was Ben, all of them very wary of Hydra. they had never had to deal with Hydra personally, but they had seen the Avengers and Shield have to handle them and the Fantastic Four where not willing to face someone like that on their own. "Johnny! are you okay?" Reed asked, worried about the younger man. Reed thought Johnny was a punk ass little shit head who was always causing problems, but he did care a lot about him anyway, for Sue if for nothing else. "i'm fine. we don't know who the Hydra guy is..." Johnny admitted, handing Sue the tablet with the info on it, scrubbing his face. "Steve doesn't know who it is either, all he knows is that the Hydra bastard isn't properly trained. just some guy off the streets that they managed to convert... or something like that."
 
“Oh, well that’s helpful to. At least he’s not trained, whoever it is.”Alais said smiling at him, hugging him, reassuring him that that was a good job before sighing as they settled in to rest while waiting for the others. “We’re okay.”Tony said looking at reed, the words coming from between gritted teeth, because while he wanted to feed the man through a meat grinder, he’d work on being pleasant when he was here. “Johnny?”Sue looked at her twin looking him over upset, hugging him tightly before taking the tablet, frowning as he looked it over, “Damn. Well....we’ll have to go through everyone...I mean...there might be someone steve recognizes...”Sue said sounding worried.
 
he nodded. "but that means we won't be able to catch him easily. Soldiers walk, talk, act certain ways. Hydra's soldiers are the same way. this person won't act like a soldier making him much harder to spot." James muttered, unhappily. "i'm sorry." Reed said to Johnny, making the fire started twitch in surprise. Reed never apologized! "it was wrong of me, i crossed a line." Reed admitted, shaking his head. "i shouldn't be taking my problems out on you." he admitted, watching Sue hug Johnny. "Stevie? if you saw the person who is watching Sue and Johnny, would you recognize them?" "no." Steve admitted, hesitating, frustrated before speaking in Russian, his very limited vocabulary strained as it was. "i have never met the assigned civilian. they will remain unlisted as a sleeper, hidden and unseen until it is too late." Steve informed them in Russian. "only the Hydra Civilian's Handler, or contact, will know who they are personally. they and the highest of command. otherwise, they will only be refereed to as a codename, the civilian code name for the man watching over Johnny and Sue is Firebrand." he spoke the codename in English and Reed blinked, listening to Jarvis's translation. "Firebrand?" Reed asked, looking rather incredulous. Steve just nodded, moment of lucidity mostly over.
 
Tony winced at that.”Hadn’t thought of that. Dammit.”He sighed rubbing a hand over his face as he tried to think of how to find them, watching Alais thoughtfully as the woman seemed be thinking over sometimes. “we’re sorry Johnny.”Sue corrected, looking at her brother, upset he’d been upset before swallowing hard, looking at steve before sighing softly. “calm, Steve.”Alais muttered stroking his hair, hating to see him upset, before frowning at jarvis’ translation. “Firebrand?That sounds more like johnny’s callsign then anything, but that doesn’t make any sense.”Alais said staring at johnny, gently stroking steve’s hair.”Sweetheart, you should get some rest...”
 
"yeah, but still. being a civilian means they'll be more likely to make a mistake." he admitted before watching while Johnny smiled at Sue before sighing, examining the Tablet. Steve whined at her, snuggling her even as he reported what he knew. "Firebrand was renamed after the Fantastic Four developed their powers. he was instructed to keep close watch on Johnny storm and to kill him if Johnny looked like he would become too dangerous by Hydra standards. the rest of the fantastic four are also be watched, but Hydra is less curious about them." Steve reported before shaking his head, he didn't want to rest, Alais was upset, he didn't like it. he had to stay up and protect her.
 
“True. We’ll hope for a mistake then.”Tony frowned thinking about it, sighing quietly, resting his head on james’ shoulder, tired and upset enough to want to simply snuggle. Because while it took him caring for someone allot to be okay with it, he was often found snuggling all his friends, johnny and james being the most common, when he was upset. Alais sighed softly, gently stroking steve’s hair as he talked before frowning. “...I wonder why. I mean. All their powers could be dangerous given enough push to be dangerous.”Tony frowned, looking thoughtful as he watched steve. “...I’m okay. I promise.”Alais muttered realizing why she was still upset, sighing quietly. While she was still feeling unsteady, she was trying to relax, and simply not worry to much, knowing the more upset she was, the more steve would be
 
"yes, we'll have to hope." James agreed, shaking his head a little before smiling at Ton and gently running his fingers through the others hair. he knew he was one of Tony's 'special' friends. the ones who could cuddle him all they pleased. "because Johnny is Steve's clone." James suggested. "he has the potential to become three times more dangerous if the Serum where to become active. it's very odd though..." he admitted. "because his Serum HAS become active, but it's not the same as Steve's was." Bruce admitted. "i believe the cloning procedure messed with the Serum and when you and Sue experienced that 'accident' it activated the serum." "but i didn't have the Serum." Reed protested. "and neither does Ben." "yes i know. i can't begin to understand that part. at best i can theorize that you had some sort of alien genetics that might have been unlocked, or where in fact children or grandchildren of someone who had been injected with the Serum, or a mimic of it any way. the soviet union, Hydra, the America Government and a few other countries all attempted to replicate the Serum. i don't have exact numbers but i know about three hundred American citizens where reported to have taken the serum. that's a good number of people from all over the country and their names where never released. you could very well have had dormant serum inside of you without you ever knowing." Bruce admitted. "when the serum is dormant, it won't show up on any tests so it's impossible to know." he admitted before smiling at Steve and Alais. "do you two need some sleeping pills?" he offered her, blinking when Steve snarled at him a little.
 
Tony sighed quietly, calming a little under james had, before noddding. Thinking that over. “That makes sense. Super soldier’s would be more dangerous then a normal expriment...”He muttered thinking. “No, you guys don’t. But everyone who’s ever had a version of the serum, has reacted different. Makes sense if it’s a throwback to genetics being warped by previous tests, or something else.”Sue said thoughtfully frowning as she considered that. “...I don’t know. Maybe.”Alais frowned, looking worired before sighing softly, nodding slowly. “Please. I don’t think we’re going to get any sleep otherwise.”
 
"never mind that Sue has the potential for Super Soldier serum as well." Johnny grumbled. he wasn't sure if he was annoyed or relieved that they weren't openly targeting Sue. "it's hard to tell what Hydra is thinking." Bruce admitted even as he pulled out a pill bottle and handed it to her. "only one a night, and only for a week or two." he warned her, giving her a list of things to watch out for, including sleepwalking, hallucinations and other various side effects common to sleeping pills. "Johnny, Sue, Reed, i think it would be best if you stayed here at the Tower, at least until we can be sure who the Hydra agent is." James admitted, Reed nodding his agreement and looking at Sue for hers as well. he wouldn't make her stay, but he'd feel better if she did.
 
“Hydra never makes sense. And if you think about it, most women hadn’t survived the testing if they’d been tried....,makes some sort of sense Hydra focused on males, instead of females.”Tony said sighing quietly. “Thanks.”Alais said nodding a little as she took the pills, sitting up as tony got her a glass of water. “I do to.”Sue said nodding a little before getting up. “But we’ll stay in our rooms, no reason to sleep in a puppy pile.”She smiled, because while she’d been okay with it when they’d first found out, she really didn’t like the idea of sleeping in the room with them all.
 
Steve shook his head. Hydra made perfect sense, they just didn't know it. Hydra just focused on males because they had an agreement with Red Room and the KGB got the brunt of the women. Steve had exhausted himself communicating as much as he had already though, so said nothing. "you don't want to puppy pile with us?" James asked Reed with a smirk making Reed shudder. "god... now there's two of them." he mumbled, leaving rather swiftly lest James decide to amp up the flirting. Johnny just sniggered. "that's not nice James." he said, more for Sue than for Reed. James just shrugged. "i figure if i flirt with other people, Ton might get jealous." "that's right! you guys had a date! did it go well?" Johnny wanted Tony to be happy after all and he knew James and Tony would be very happy together.
 
“No, I don’t. Getting between you and Tony would be like having a bed in the playboy mansion.”Sue said rolling his eyes, looking amused as they left the room. “You are so mean.”Tony said snickering a little as reed left, looking amused as he snuggled james a little before elbowing James. “It’s not fair making me jealous.”he grumbled before grinning at Johnny. “It did, until people stared freaking out about tom. And Alais won, so all was okay.”
 
"gross Sue, your my sister!" Johnny whined. "or daughter!... i'm actually still confused about that part..." James snickered. "i am mean." James admitted with a chuckle. "especially since i don't care for Reed much, he just... rubs me the wrong way somehow." he admitted with a smile at Tony, giving him a kiss to the forehead. "just trying to get your attention my love." he teased with a smile, a little startled that Johnny seamed to be happy that h was trying to seduce Tony. "oh yeah, the Tom who i have yet to meet." Johnny agreed with a grin. Tom who was still asleep after donating some blood to Bruce. "you won?" Johnny asked Alais, looking quite pleased. "congratulations!"
 
“me to, but you tell me about your sex life all the time. Teasing you about it is amusing.”Sue snickered. “Hmmm, I don’t like him either. Almost wish he’s the agent so I have a excuse to break him like I did my stretch armstrong doll.”He muttered making a face sighing softly, leaning into james. “You don’t have to look so happy with not having to worry about me anymore.”Tony whined poking johnny before nodding. “He’s sleeping. We went for a car ride and ran into loki. It was traumatizing all around.”Tony snickered. “I did. And thank you.”Alais said with a sleepy smile, the pills starting to take effect.
 
"well, that's true." Johnny agreed with a chuckle before wincing. "don't even joke about that Tony!" Johnny protested, looking afraid for the first time. "Reed is a bit insensitive but he's not cruel!... i can't... i can't even pretend... because that would mean that my sister is married to Hydra." he pointed out. "i can't even pretend..." "it's okay Johnny, no one here really thinks that Reed is Hydra." James promised the man. "Reeds been with you since collage right? there's no way he could be the Hydra Agent. Hydra wasn't active back then." James pointed out. "so he can't be the Hydra agent. it's someone else." e decided before blinking at Tony. "you ran into Loki?!" he demanded, shocked. "did he do anything? your not hurt so i don't think you where attacked, and your not a funny color so he wasn't just fucking with you..." Johnny snorted a little before smiling at Alais and Steve. Steve whom had fallen asleep without the aid of Drugs, too exhausted from everything to stay awake even if he wanted to stay up and protect Alais.
 
“Sorry.”Tny flinched ducking his head as he stared down, swallowing hard. “Sorry.”he whined a little, sounding seriously upset at having upset Johnny before nodding. “Definitely someone else.”he agreed before nodding, looking a little sheepish for having not brought up his run in with loki earlier. “Yea...he threatened me, and told me to take care of tom otherwise painful and unpleasant things would happen.”Tony said sighing a little smiling slightly as he watched the other two sleep, gently stroking alais’ hair. “They’re fairly cute.”He muttered.
 
Johnny sighed and snuggled Tony. "i'm sorry too, i shouldn't have yelled." he mumbled, shaking his head. "i'm just all worked up is all." he admitted with a sigh and a shake of his head. "i'm terrified really." he admitted before chuckling at Tony's sheepishness. the man really was too adorable sometimes. "So he does care about his Twin. i had wondered." James admitted before smiling at the sleeping Steve and Alais. "they are cute." he agreed before frowning. "Tony? how... stable, do ou think Loki was? if we could save his Twin, do you think he might, you know... turn good?" he asked the other. "Thor said Loki lost his mind because he found out Tom was dying and that he was a Frost Giant in the same day right?" he asked. "so maybe, if we save Tom, he'll stop causing problems right?"
 
“...I know. It’s okay. We’ll figure out what’s going on.”Tony said hugging the other before flushing a little, making a face before nodding. “yea. He does. Alot.”Tony said sighing quietly, before frowning thinking it over as he studied alais as she slept. “He’s stable. I mean....he’s a jerk, but he seemed to be in control. I think if we give him a reason to like us, and be willing to behave, he might stop.”Tony said frowning slightly.
 
"Johnny smiled and snuggled into him, startled when James ran his fingers through Johnny's hair. it was the first time James had ever willingly touched Johnny. "...so we just have to get him to calm down and accept us. can't be any harder than taming the old wildcats on the streets right?" James asked with a smirk before kissing Tony's forehead. "just go to sleep." he ordered. "you need the rest." he ordered.

when Ton woke up, Bruce and Johnny where curled up so tight you almost thought they where trying to become one person. Tom was also in the big bed, tucked up next to Tony like a cute little child. Natasha and Clint had also joined them, laying across James and Tony like cats. "you know, i'd be worried about this if i where you." Pepper warned Tony from the doorway, looking amused. "if you keep spoiling them like that, they'll want to stay." she teased.
 
Tony smiled humming pleased a little when James stroked johnny’s hair, even if he wasn’t the one being petted, it pleased him to see the two men in his life getting along. “Yep. And no, I guess it shouldn’t.”Tony snickered a littlem yawning as as he went to sleep.

Tony frowned, looking at the people crowding him, bemused at the sight of natasha laying across his legs and clint cuddled against him, and tom curled into his side while tony snuggled both james, with alais and steve tucked in close together as if they to were trying to become one person. “...I’m sorta worried that there’s this many people in my bed and I haven’t had a orgy to get them here.”Tony said not at all worried, in fact pleased with the fact that they’d want to stay. “Urgh...no. Tony cooties. I don’t want to have sex with you.”Alais whined making a face before staring a little at the dog sleeping across her, amused that codi had climbed into bed with them to,”It’s a good thing you have a bed this big.”Natasha said sleepily snickering a little.
 
Pepper chuckled, watching the various people waking up. well everyone but Tom, who was refusing to wake up at all. "i'm sort of glad there wasn't an orgy because i'd have a few questions if there had been." Pepper admitted. "yeah, like, 'why wasn't i invited?'" Natasha teased, making Pepper flush a little and roll her eyes. James snickered at Alais's protests while Steve whined, snuggling tighter to her, not wanting to wake up yet. "i wouldn't mind having sex with Tony." Bruce slurred, mostly because he knew Johnny would growl at him. and there it was. and James growled too, very nice. "i'm more worried about the Dog honestly. if we had an orgy that involved a Dog i'm very worried." Johnny admitted.
 
“Hmmm, she should totally join in our orgies.”Clint said smirking, resting his head on natasha’s stomach, well aware that everyone knew him and natasha were to loyal to each other to look elsewhere for sex, no matter how much they teased. “Aww, I kne wyou loved me, Brucie-bear.”Tony grinned snickering a tjohnny’s growl. “....You know. Me to. But I wouldn’t put anything past you, Storm.”Tony teased lookign amused at johnny, glad that everyone seemed to be in a better easier mood now then they’d been the ngiht before.
 
"she should." James agreed, Natasha sniggering when Pepper just went a little more red. "i do love you Tony. just don't touch my dick." Bruce ordered, making Johnny laugh and shake his head. "hey, hey! i would never fuck a dog! that's just sick!" "of course, that's why the dog would be fucking you." "Sick!" Johnny whined, making a face. "y'all are pervs!" he complained, making Pepper and Natasha giggle because Johnny had, for a moment, sounded like the country boy he'd been as a child. in a bid to protect her children, their mother had lived on a ranch until they where about ten or twelve before moving tot he city with their father so he could be closer to his work. they still owned the ranch. "so what's up Pepper?" "nothing. paperwork mostly." she admitted. "i saw you where all still in bed and figured i'd better wake you up before the coffee started getting cold. um. just out of curiosity... why is Loki i that puppy pile?" "it's not Loki. this is Loki's twin brother Tom." Bruce said sluggishly, finally sitting up. "he's here because he's sick and the magic healers in Asgard can't, or won't, help Tom. Thor hasn't been very clear on that part."
 
“Hm, okay. I’ll just grope the Captain then. He’ll let me touch him.”Tony said sounding sleepy enough that he was coming onto james without actually thinking better of it before grinning. “Well, you are johnny storm. I never know what you’ll do.” “Country boy.”Clint teased looking amused at johnny’s whining, before wincing a litle at the idea of paperwork, even if it wasn’t his paperwork to be dealt with. “I dont wanna....but coffee is good.”Tony said squirming out of the bed to get the coffee, even if he didn’t look at the paperwork, pepper was one of the few people that could hand tony things without having him freak out. “Wont. He didn’t say it, but I got the feeling from loki that it was, wont.”Tony said sipping his coffee.
